So he had a job for the first 3 months they got together, then he got fired, and moved in with my sister and me (we live together) its been two years now and he doesn't even look for a job. He doesn't pay any rent, or upkeep considering we are paying for the rooth over his head,clothing,food,electric etc. Me and my sister are both junior doctors, the house is within walking distance to the hospital, and there's nowhere local for rent or sale, but now I'm considering moving out. He does NOTHING. He leaves his dirty clothes everywhere, I wouldn't mind so much but he doesn't even wash his dishes. He owes thousands of pounds to my sister, that she lent him to pay off debts, and buy a PlayStation. He owes me £390 from last year. She won't kick him out! Shes like "but he's got nowhere to go" I'm p*ssed off. Last week we came home from a night shift, we were both knackered! Walked in, and hes there with 5 of his mages, music, drink. I'm so annoyed and my sister does not listen to me?!

Ok so long story short my step-daughter has a weekly dance competition that lasts all day. She is 8. My husband is going, but asked if I could watch his special needs son while he goes. I already told him that I am not going to her competition because I have errands to do and I need to be home for an appointment. It is his weekend with his daughter and son, and I'm really not sure what to do. I would have no problem watching him, but I wouldn't be able to leave the house. I'm in a dilemma that if I say yes this will honestly be a regular thing and he will definitely take advantage of me. If I say no I will be chastised and he will be upset that I am not helping. What would you do?

She is 4 and perfectly capable of eating she refuses to eat at the table instead she sits and stares at her hands or looks at me for attention she just wants to talk and ask me stupid questions like whats this? Pointing at her spoon...i ignore her and eat my food, even when i do answer her stupid questions she still wont eat! Ive tried letting her eat on her own and she still wont eat, she just stares at her hands!!! I'm out of ideas. My 4 year old won't eat at the table or alone

I know a man that has a child and him and the mom are divorced so when he has visitation he has her in his home where there are people drinking and partying every night. He openly gets drunk in front of her and the house is filthy like a tower of beer boxes and layers of dog hair on the carpet pretty much the place hasn't been cleaned for months. She is 13 and to my knowledge she isn't drinking yet herself however I just feel like they are unsanitary living conditions and maybe the dad needs help like rehab or something.... Any ideas or suggestions on what to do??

My friend was sleeping over my house and said she needed to poop and wanted to go home to do it! I asked her why she couldnt use my bathroom (and offered to go on another floor or even outside, and my parents wernt even home!) but she said she had to go home and she actually left! She just told my mom she didnt feel good and her mom picked her up. Why couldnt she poop at my house, ive known her for many years and were like sisters!

I'm newly-ish married we've been together two years, I was a Virgin when I got married, I wasn't saving myself it just worked out that way. Anyways now that where married we have a great sex life, I've been getting it every day more then once a day, she's 4 months pregnate and where still going at it, she's a great wife she cooks cleans treats me really well I'm very happy with her, but my family doesn't like her because she's white, I'm Spanish they always say she can't cook, not true at all her food is amazing, they say she's a racist, also not true and they say some really mean things to her, her dad just died and my sister sent a picture of herself saying look how happy I am your dad is dead. I hate my mom. If she died right now it would be such a relief. When I was in highschool a teacher made an enlarged pic of my butt and showed it to my classmates. She did this at home coming and thought it would be funny. This was my sped teacher. My mother promised me my junior year if I worked hard I could go into regular English my senior year. She went back on her word. Basically, I was set up by my mother. This has absolutely destroyed our relationship. Anyway my dad asked me to to counseling with her much to my dismay. The counselor told me I should let this go but also said what I was put through was totally unacceptable. My mother thinks I should let this go but refuses to fix what happened to me. Ok so my dad doesn't ever knock on my door, and it so happens that it is mostly when I am changing, and I cover my junk up and then he just walks out with nothing to say. I am tired of it because I am not at that age anymore where I don't care who sees me naked. He says that because we are same gender he could see it but I DONT WANT HIM TO. At least my mom knocks!!!!!! And whenever I am on the phone he will barge in and embarrass me on purpose, saying dumb stuff that he knows will embarrass me. I told him to stop but he doesn't care at all. And sorry I forgot to add- He will sometimes call his friend and be like "is my son doing what I think he's doing," when all I am doing is changing my clothes.

Lately I've been starting to resent my dad.I'm curious about whether or not I'm being reasonable. First and foremost, he is super controlling in general. He thinks he's the king of any situation and last week actually tried to tell the doctor how to give me a physical (ie. Now u have to weigh him). He is racist which is becoming increasingly annoying, specifically because we live in a progressive area of New York so idk where he gets it from. I'm 15 years old and get an allowance but have next to no freedom to spend it, even though he claims that the purpose of an allowance is to prepare me for real life money management. Even when I have money saved up, he tells me that I can't go out to dinner with friends if I go went out to lunch that day, which I know seems bratty but I'm pretty much the only kid that's restricted this much. I'm to be home at 6:00 pm every night even though he knows I don't smoke or drink (and even if I did, isn't high school the time to make mistakes and make memories?) he got mad at me for asking to have sleep overs with girls because most of my friends are girls even though , many of them were lesbian AND other boys and parents would be there. He is extremely passive aggressive and gets so angry at the drop of a hat.I'm a freshman in high school and he is already pressuring me about college, telling me that he expects me to attend Harvard. He is also cheating on my mom through craigslist hookups with other men

My daughters grandmother is oblivious to the dangers in this world, the grandmother is sick and let my child put her finger in the syrup and taste it. I'm understandably upset as any mother would be, and my child is fine. But is it something to tell the grandmother "don't do it again" or have a long drawn out conversation about the dangers of giving children unnecessary medicine let alone "tastings"

I put the food in front of her at the table tell her its time to eat and she gets 20-30min to eat she just stares at her hands and food for each and every meal. I tell her eat your food she says i need help. I help her, but then refuses to chew and swallow i tell her chew your food she says i want help. I say you know how to chew. She says no go away mommy then spits out the food. I am done helping her or putting up with her behavior. Now i give her food and walk away. When i check in on her she still isnt eating..i am worried she is underweight and i cry some days if im doing something wrong.

Ok I'm going to get hit and my dad hits hard. The ppl that live in my basement warned me that she was gonna tell my parents I make to much noise but it's my brother. She said I will make her move out and my parents will get mad when they hear this. I can't tell them it was my brother because they think he is innocent. This is not the first time that this stuff happens so now I face the consequences but this is a serious problem so now I'm definitely getting hit. I was thinking of layering with thick pants and a sweater to decrease the pain. Any tips?

In Saudi, a husband can marry 4 wives at the same time. My aunt is insecure and ugly, and she tries her best to make my uncle stay away from his 3 sisters (I and my aunts are American), becuz in Saudi the way a man marries are thru his sisters. His sisters see a woman and say to their bro "This woman is a good candidate, come see her". Sisters are a great influence in marriage with their bro.My aunt hates all my uncle's sisters, and she is malicious. My mom has been involuntarily hospitalized 3 times over the past year and a half. Her family wanted to have an intervention with her to get long term help because her mental illness (bipolar) has caused her to do some things she wouldn t normally do and also endanger her life. She refused and yelled at us. I know we cannot force her, and she can do what she pleases, but I am a daughter who is sooooo close to my mom and it is so hard to see my mom go through this and not want to help herself. The reason the third time happened is because she wouldn t take her medicine. I just moved out about 2 months ago and my mom told my grandmother that the reason the 2nd time happened to my mother was because "she couldn t let you go." And I know it s not my fault, but that doesn t make me feel good at all. My mom hangs pictures of me in the pantry and in odd places and went through my stuff and hung random things that had to do with me on the walls. I m not going to force her to do anything she doesn t want, but I can no longer be a part of this, it s honestly making me depressed and it s worse because my mom is basically the only family member I have besides my grandma and brother I never see, and my mom and I were so close so it hurts so much more. Also, I m not saying my mom is a bad mom, I think she is a super awesome mom and loves me very much, she s just not herself when this happens and it scares me. I just don t know what to do or how to handle this.

My sister has been talking to this guy ( they're both 15). It seems like they are always texting each other and talking to each other. The other day I go to check my phone app to make double check my data ( my mom sisters and I share a plan ) and there were over a thousand messages. I come from a very poor family. As an adult, I m a freelance programmer making a comfortable middle-class income, but my mother is still unemployed and collects a social security check since my father passed away and my sister (she s 17) only works 1 day a week at a minimum wage job. They are constantly asking for help and I ve obliged because I ve always thought it was the right thing to do. Over the course of the last 6 months alone I would venture to guess I ve given them over $600 and I haven t asked for any of it back. I also give them rides all the time, and this is the most inconvenient because I m very busy with work and it s always doctors appointments and other things that take place during the day. They don t even offer gas money. The part that angers me, is that I will on occasion ask for small favors in return, such as sharing some of my affiliate links on facebook, reviewing an ebook on amazon, making a few phone calls for me, ... to help make up my lost time and invariably they say they will but never follow through, also when they do fall in to money--such as tax return time--they don t even offer to take me to lunch. At this point, I feel like they are just trying to take advantage of me and I ve informed them that I can no longer help them out because of this. Their response has been indignant. Am I being an asshole or are they?

My mother is the one at fault. not my aunt. However, I am reluctant to reply in a real insulting way about my mother as I will hear my mother's voice mad at me in my head. It involves my mother being bitter at family members over little things and cutting them out. It is not that they ever have to be friends again but I want things like Christmas, graduations, etc.. to be pleasant rather then a time of great tension as to whether Mom will let Dad come back to the house or not. My brother's 8th grade graduation last spring was tough because it all turned into a contest of mother telling father you can't come back to our house and him coming briefly with her flipping out. He is not a threat though understandably they had marriage problems. How do I get her to forgive even if they are not buddies anymore so that we don't have to have this tension? They have been divorced since 2008.

My mother in law acts like she's the mom of my daughters, not the grandma. I don't know weather she realizes that she comes across that way or not. I don't know if she honestly thinks she's helping, or if she helps to feel good about herself. Either way, I want to approach her about it as nicely as possible, as I don't want my kids thinking she's as much a parent as my wife and I are. Examples -Keeps her own set of car seats in her car -Insists in driving my 5 year old to school despite that my wife is able to drive her -Bought a bed and a crib specifically for when my daughters are at her house (She also asks them to sleepover all the time) -Cooks for us & brings it over at least once a week -Books doctors/dentist appointments for them without telling us, then insists on driving them there -Buys them whatever they want when they're with her We don't ask her to do any oth this by the way. My sister sabotaged me on my MCAT 2 years ago. I had the test, stressed out, through a lot, she begged to "help me", I relented and let her, then she (the month before my MCAT), told me she couldn't give me rent money, I had been studying for 6 months, ended up stressed, getting evicted, living in a car, to take my test... went, bad. (It was my 3rd time, serious) Second was, (plethora more) we got in an argument, she continued calling me a "Failure" for the MCAT test she sabotaged me on, and had been annoying me for months, and finally, I snapped, we got in an argument, she spit on me a plethora of times. She called the cops to arrest me, to "destroy my life", the cops arrested her, for spitting on me, and lying that I assaulted her... I think, I think I'm done with this person.. I spend a good portion of my morning trying to regain (or GAIN) my peace of mind, before heading out the door. That peace of mind in which my family so disrespectfully disrupts. I don't have the (what can I call it)) energy? to get dressed for work when my mind is upset. Sometimes I forget not to be around them or even talk to them, because they will instantly f**k up my mood. I don't have my own space in this household, so theres never really a place to go and be unbothered. Who? My complaining mother. My immature siblings.

I find this very irritating and trifling. I already have 0 tolerance for anything ripping and running off sugar, bouncing off the walls. What I d like to do is illegal and options are limited these day s. I have already spoken to the Father in regards to just keeping him "OUT".! But then theirs Grand mom, whom thrives on all of the drama

Basically I've lived a pretty **** life. I was abused by my mother up until I was 7 years old. Social services got involved and I went to live with my dad. When I was 9 he got involved with a women who was abusive towards me when he was away at work she'd do what my mother did. Throw plates and me and smack me for no reason. Even when she gave me a black eye it didn't make him mad at her. In fact I told his best friend who give me the black eye and he smacked me everywhere for it. They eventually split up and when I was 12 he found someone else. Naturally I was wary of her because of what happened before, and then he gave her permission to smack me if she ever felt I was in the wrong. At that point my mum had said she had changed and I went to live with her as I didn't trust my dad anymore after what he'd said. Now after 2 weeks of being normal my mum went back to her normal ways and I had to go live with my great auntie and uncle. They completely stripped me off my social life and wouldn't allow me to go to parties or go anywhere with my friends after school until I was about 16/17. Now I'm 22 and they've become horrible with me, I can't even afford to move out as I only earn 978pound a month and I have no car. I feel like everyone hates me in my family. My great auntie and uncle are basically reclusive if that's the word and are OCD about everything. Everything I do is never good enough they double clean what I clean and so I don't bother helping with anything because it's never good enough. I just really don't know what to do, I feel like my life is a mess and I have no where to go. I wish I had actual parents I could turn too. I'm barely related to the people I live with an I feel that's what they think in their mind.

My parents have done nothing but mentally abuse me as a kid and now as a teenager. My dad has threatened me multiple times, my mum is a manipulative coward who twists things onto me and only talks to me to complain about things. I have no relationship with them whatsoever other than being my biological parents who put a roof over my head. My family is very dysfunctional, none of us can speak to our parents or show an ounce of emotion. The first time i started self harming, it was because of the mental stress I got from my family (mostly parents). Yeah, they provide me with materialistic things, but that means nothing to me when I hear my friend's relationships with their parents and I envy them insanely. I have great grades and do nothing wrong (drugs, drinking). My friend went out prom dress shopping with her mum, and I have no one other than her to go with, but even that will be a problem to my parents. My friends feel like family to me, the guys feel like brothers and the girls like sisters. My dad always threatens to physically attack me/siblings, my mum doesn't do crap. I'm not saying there aren't moments where I like them, but there are way too many moments I would honestly rather be dead than be with them. The teachers at school can't do anything, and I don't want to see my parents after I turn 18 and hopefully leave the house (a year and a few months away). I know that sounds like a rash/stupid decision but I have felt like this from the age of 12 or less.

I suffered a very bad concussion a year ago this past Presidents' Day which has profoundly effected every aspect of my life. I couldnt play football my sernior year or have a sernior year because I relapse every time I try to go back to school and spend the rest of the day in the nurse. Everything about the concussion has bee hell Im dizzy all the time and feel like when I'm awake I'm looking into a video game. So throughout this whole ordeal my Exstep mom who's like my real mom has been very unsupportive she told me multiple times she thinks I'm faking my concussion and tells me I'm milking the concussion for what its worth as if she's had a leg to stand on she hasn't been to 1 doctors appointment and I've had A LOT of them. I can count on 1 hand how many times I've seen her in the past year and this is a woman whose known me since I was 9 and I'm 18 you'd think she would know me better. And who the **** fakes a concussion this **** is serous. It's just makes you feel insane when someone tells there's nothing wrong with you its all in your head when you make up sometime and the first thing you do is throw up. I could have permanent brain damage and her ****** *** tells me I'm faking this ****. Any advice I don't have a lot of people to talk to about this?!

So my mum always favourites my brother.. My dad was the only one working and we are behind on paying so much. My mum has just started working. my dad is NOT my brothers dad but yes the same mum so when I was little me and my dad were really close . I'm 14 now and my brother has broken my family. He has anger issues hits my mum always tells her to give him money he is addicted to marijuana. He's 20 and still lives at home with no job. My parents got divorced ten years ago and he's been out of the picture since. He was abusive to my mother and I but I do have some good memories with him I'll always remember. I'm not going to get into detail but, I do have a lot of hate towards him at the same I miss him it's really hard for me to admit that at 20 years old.

Hey, I'm a 16 year old girl and I recently asked my dad if I could get some deodorant (you know, because of sweating and stinking after sports lessons at school and the sports I do outside of school). He said yes, but only if it didn't have aluminium in it. We've scoured the shelves of every place we can think of and can't find any, we've bought one from the Body Shop which we were told was aluminium free only to find it wasn't. I'm so confused about this "the aluminium will seep into your skin through your pores and slowly kill you" stuff. My dad also doesn't let us buy shampoo or toothpaste or anything with sodium lauryl sulphate in it because "when we go out in the sun it will give us cancer" and stuff. I'm getting to the point where I just can't deal with the frustration. Oh, I forgot to mention, no preservatives or artificial colours in our food either. Zilch. The restriction is, as you can imagine, unbelievable! Can anybody please tell me whether I should really be banned from using these products? Will they really kill me, or is this just overprotective crap based on outdated wives' tales. Thanks in advance :)
