I am getting married in August and we have been thinking about favors for the wedding, our parents are all deceased so we thought of doing their favorite candy with a quote that says "we hope you have made some sweet memories of the day, please enjoy some sweets in memory of our beloved parents John and Olivia & Eugene and Catherine" Do you think it would be a good way to incorporate them without being morbid?

This past December my little sister got engaged to her boyfriend of 4 years. They are getting married this December. Our father is deceased, and I really don t want to do anything like be an usher or a groomsman or anything like that, mainly because I dislike every boyfriend she s ever had and think "Nobody is good enough for my sister". How can I politely say "no" without hurting their feelings? Or should I shut up and just do what they want?

How does one become the maid of honor? What is the job of the maid of honor? If the bride has more than one brides maid, is one of the brides maids automatically made the maid of honor, or can they all simply be brides maids, without having a maid of honor? Why have so many brides maids? Why do we never see just two brides maids, or even three brides maids? Why does the bride get to have more than one brides maid, but the groom only gets to have one best man? If the groom had more than one best man, would the best man, then, be called the "man of honor," or the "best best man?" Would the whole group be called "best men?"
