Question: My parents are questioning me for having a PO box? Posted: 12 Feb 2016 01:54 PM PST So I am 19 and I got a PO box because my parents open my mail. In fact just today they opened a refund from my school clearly addressed to me. So they found out I had a PO box, and they say to me "Why do you need a po box? People only get po boxes if they are trying to hide something" I said I got it so they would stop opening my mail. They are trying to force me to close it. |

Posted: 12 Feb 2016 12:23 PM PST A few nights ago my parents sent my sister to her room (we share a bedroom) after she disrespected them. While she was in her room she ripped pages out of his bible, crumbled them, and threw them all over the room. She did it for the sole purpose of making our parents mad. She knew that was one of the things that would really get under their skin. After that, my parents told me and my sister that we lost the privillege of keeping a bible in our room. I wasn't even in the room while my sister was ripping out pages and I would never do that. Now, if me or my sister want to read scriptures, we need to do it in the living room or in our parent's bedroom. This isn't working for me. I usually lay in bed and read scriptures every night before bed. Reading scriptures helps me sleep. I don't think it's fair that I'm not able to have my scriptures because of something my sister did. Sorry I should clarify: My dad gave her HIS bible to read because she misplaced hers and that is the one she ripped pages out of. He was mad because he has had that one for a long time and it was a gift. I asked my parents about using my iPad to read scriptures from there, but they said no electronic are allowed to go with me in my room past 7:30. |
Question: Depressed girlfriend of 6 months just dumped me out of nowhere, need advice? Posted: 12 Feb 2016 11:16 AM PST My girlfriend of 6 months dumped me a day after we celebrated our 6 month anniversary. This is her first lesbian relationship but she says that has nothing to do with it (she's kind of a tomboy) She posted on social media how she's the happiest ever and she loves me so much and then a day later broke up with me after I texted her saying I've been noticing her being distant. She suffers from severe depression and is on Wellbutrin for it. She said in the past few months she started losing feelings for me but also she kept commenting on how bad she feels about herself and how she has constant negative thoughts (I'm guessing some serious seasonal depression). She struggles with cocaine and alcohol abuse. She quit coke for awhile and went on a binge a week before we broke up. I'm having a really hard time because I really though we had something special. I was so good to her and did anything to make her smile but nothing could ever make her happy for a good period of time. She came over last night and gave me back my belongings and clearly had a hard time with it saying she wants me in her life still. She told me her struggles with depression but also said she lost the feeling of being in love with me. I can't help but to take this personally and wondering what caused her to just fall out of love with me after constantly posting how much she loves me on social media and leading me on when her feelings faded. Any advice could really help me out right now. I'm devastated. :( |
Question: Traveling with my brother to LA, can I still meet up with my friend when I get there? Posted: 12 Feb 2016 10:52 AM PST I'm 28 and I'm going to see a friend of mine who lives in another state he's 41. He and I met in person before in June of last year. This time I'm taking a guy friend with me he's 24 because my parents don't like me traveling alone he and I will be staying at different hotels. He's not someone I am in a relationship with he's like a kid brother to me. Can I still meet up with the older guy even though my kid brother will be with me? No I will not be taking my brother with me to actually meet up with the other guy. |
Posted: 12 Feb 2016 10:04 AM PST So earlier this morning I was sleep at my girlfriends house. I woke up and she was on the phone with her baby daddy and sounded like she was whispering. She didn't know I was up until I got up and went to the bathroom. When I came out of the bathroom she was off the phone. She hasn't really said anything to me and looks like she might've been crying. This isn't the first time either. Every time I say anything about it to her, she says I don't trust her and acts like I did something wrong. What should I do? |
Posted: 12 Feb 2016 09:55 AM PST This morning, my father kept asking me if I wanted to go take my Aunt to the hospital. I declined his offer. After a few minutes, he asks me the same question, and yet I still decline. when he comes to me again for the third time, I declined and ask him if I needed to answer the same question over and over again. He then becomes enraged at me and throws a bottle of Pringle's vinegar and salt potato chips at me and forces me to clean it up. Is this considered child abuse? I also come from an Asian family and it seems as if m mother and father are power hungry and abusing their power over me. It's not something serious, it's just like a kidney stone. |

Question: Why am I bashed for my preference? Posted: 12 Feb 2016 09:37 AM PST Okay, I am a black 16 year old bi sexual girl. I am constantly bashed because I mostly date white girls. However, I was NOT always into white girls. Before a couple years ago, I did not find white girls attractive AT ALL. I only had an eye for black girls. Guess what, though? Black girls didn't have an eye for me. I am not here to bash my own people. I am just stating facts. Black people as a whole, thought that I acted like a "white girl," "wanted to be white" etc. I was really lost because I wanted a girlfriend so bad, but I thought that black girls were my only option. I've only had an eye for black girls. However, one day that changed. I met this gorgeous white girl, got to know her, started dating her and she changed my whole perspective on white girls. Eventually, white girls is just what have grown on me over the years. I don't even really have an eye for other black girls, anymore. Am I wrong for this, though? |
Posted: 12 Feb 2016 09:23 AM PST My great great grandfather and his two sons were serial killers back in the 1800s in Montgomery County, TN. My great grandfather was the last person to be hung in the county in June of 1885. They murdered both whites and blacks, and hid their bodies in a local cave. Only my great grandfather was tried and punished for his participation. Should I tell other family members what I just learned in a web search via Ancestry.com? |

Question: Do you feel stressed when someone yell beside you all the day? Posted: 12 Feb 2016 06:40 AM PST I don't feel this is just normal there that person I know who yell all the time that everywhere in his body is hurting and yell whole day when ever I sit near him I feel crazy he's old but why the fish is he yelling all the time it's just me are do you feel same too |
Question: Do you have a significant other that jumps every time his parents make a request? Posted: 12 Feb 2016 06:18 AM PST Every time his parents call, no matter what they request, he bows to them. If they call and we are having sex, he takes the call or tries to continue on with me--I get up and leave the room. I told him to stop doing this. That the line was crossed there. If they want to get together, he changes our plans to do so. His logic, "They are elderly and you never know when their time will be up and I will regret not seeing them if something were to happen to them." They are elderly, but still active and very independent people. The umbilical cord is wrapped very tightly around him. Especially with his dad. I like that a man is devoted to his parents, but this seems extreme, changing our plans to accommodate their every request. Even when my folks were sick from cancer, they told me to live my own life, enjoy life and that they loved me and even not to call so much, that they will be fine. I guess my upbringing was different from my significant other. When his parents call and ask, my significant other jumps and asks how high. |

Posted: 11 Feb 2016 08:50 PM PST Soo I'm a college student. I don't know what to major in and I have been researching a lot. I can't seem to find any career path id like to take. I honestly feel like I'm not good at most things and I have no confidence in myself. I'm not artistic , I don't like anything in the medical field, nothing to do with law, I don't feel like I'm smart enough. My family is making me stay in college. They get mad at me for not knowing what I want to do, but it's hard to pick something. I do want a job where I make decent money and can be independent. I don't want to marry a guy and rely on him my whole life. I don't want to be like that. Any advice ? |

Posted: 11 Feb 2016 08:30 PM PST I am tired of being sad, and crying myself to sleep every night. My dad left me a few months ago and my mom hates me. She calls me VERY rude things and constantly tells me how much she hates me. I can t do anything without being yelled at, even if it s doing the dishes, I somehow will mess that up. I have a few friends, but I m starting to think they don t like me. I hear people saying that I m weird and ugly, fat, stupid, (even people I don t know). My sister is the favorite child, and I m always compared to her because im not as good as her. She gets perfect grades, never talks back, and is always exceeding in whatever she does. I feel like I have no use, and that if I left nobody would care. That s why I want to become a doctor, because if I could cure people, it would make me feel like im actually important in this world. |

Question: Please I need advice?! Help me!!!!!!? Posted: 11 Feb 2016 07:14 PM PST Hi, I'm 14 year old girl and I live in Florida. Lately my little brother has been ruining my life. My parents pay 50$ a week for him to have private soccer lessons. I have to beg to take 15$ riding lessons a week. I sing at my youth group and we're supposed to go 45 minutes early to practice. I couldn't go early bc my mom was tired from being at his soccer game. I actually ended up being late. I tried telling them but it made my mom mad and she yelled at me to stop being so dramatic. I finally asked my youth pastor to pray for me bc I'm having some family issues. He responded and said hang in there I'm here to talk if u want to. I also know a school counselor should I tell him? My questions 1.Do I give more details 2.Is he required to tell my parents(that's my #1 fear) 3. Do I talk to my school counselor? 4. What do I say to my school counselor 5.What is talking to him like Thanks in advance! 10 pts for best answer |

Question: Mothers: Have you ever had a sexual or romantic relationship with your adult son? Posted: 11 Feb 2016 04:28 PM PST Seem like these kinds of relationships are beginning to come out of the closet nowadays and thus became less of a taboo subject due to genetic sexual attraction (GSA) and other issues. As disgusting as it may seem to many, should consenting adults have the right to engage in consanguineous relationships free from prosecution? Constructive, well-thought-of responses only please. |

Posted: 11 Feb 2016 03:42 PM PST To be more specific, when a person's family and acquaintances dislike things like photography and design or think art is useless and the only real work is digging ditches and cleaning up trash. They also think the only real entertainment is popular music, mainstream celebrities, and sports. They despise video games, traveling, trying new foods, and generally dislike doing anything that doesn't involve drinking, drugs, stealing, and hating others. |
