Question: Do you think its rude to plan a short (time wise) wedding and reception? Posted: 02 Apr 2015 02:30 PM PDT We're in the military, and we're from Wyoming (same area). We are stationed on the east coast, and we have orders to be stationed in Washington state (late may). We want our wedding to be short and sweet. No dancing, music or alcohol. Some of the people we are inviting are known to get drunk and do stupid things. We've planned for our wedding and reception to be 2 hours tops. Some people are complaining about the lack of alcohol and entertainment. We don't feel those two things are necessary. There will be plenty of food, and drinks, just not the type of drinks that people are expecting. Do you think were being rude? Our wedding is taking place in the morning, and we're going to have a very yummy brunch. There will be plenty of food, and drinks for everyone. Just not the alcohol variety of drinks. Everyone that is invited to our wedding lives within a 15 minute drive of the venue. |
Question: I brought an uninvited guest to a wedding!!!? Posted: 02 Apr 2015 01:18 PM PDT Months ago at a family gathering, I asked the bride to be if I could bring my boyfriend to her wedding. I thought she had told me yes so I brought him, only to find out days *after* the wedding that she in fact had said no and was very upset that I brought him. She informed everyone but me of this. I apologized as soon as I found out what I did wrong, but I still can't get over this huge guilt, and I'm not sure how well received my apology was. It's incredibly rude to bring uninvited guests but I didn't do it intentionally. How can I feel any better about this, even after apologizing? |
Posted: 02 Apr 2015 12:11 PM PDT I think marriage is about the journey. Why would someone not want to get married until I'm pregnant or trying to have a child? Doesn't that mean he wants children more than he wants a wife? |

Question: Friends bridal shower gift!? Posted: 02 Apr 2015 10:22 AM PDT She is 18 and is getting married in may. I can't find any ideas that don't involve alcohol. I would like it to be like a gift basket! |
Question: Is it too early to talk about marriage, kids, our future? Posted: 02 Apr 2015 10:18 AM PDT My boyfriend & I have been dating for 1 year & 7 months. He is 23 & I just turned 22. He has been out of college for 1 year & has a great job.. I'm graduating soon and got a job offer from my internship site. He asked if I want to move in with him once I graduate and I am so excited! I want to make sure he sees a long future with me before I move in with him. Any suggestions on the best way to talk about it without making him think I want marriage now ? |

Question: Dad's wife wants to be the maid of honor in my wedding? Posted: 02 Apr 2015 07:13 AM PDT My parents split up when I was very young. My mom and stepdad have been married for 17 years now. My dad, however, has been married 5 times prior to this marriage. His wife is two years older than me and they've been married for 7 months and have known each other a year and a half. His wife is okay. Though she's very annoying. She talks about being a mom to me and my older brother, which we laugh off, but sometimes we get the feeling she's serious, which freaks us both out quite a bit. He's actually a year and a half older than her, which adds to that. She's even told my brother that she wants to wait until she hears my fiancé and I want to have kids before trying to have them with my dad so our kids can grow up like siblings. Last night she told me she'd love to be my MOH. It took me half an hour to tell her she couldn't be because she just kept talking and talking. It gave me a headache! I thought she'd left it alone, but I got a call a few minutes ago and she said she can't wait to be my MOH. So now I'm left with a few options and I'm not sure which to pick. 1)Talk to my dad, knowing he'll ignore everything I say and do nothing (or maybe he'll tell me to make her my MOH, it could go either way) 2) Ignore her and proceed, knowing she'll continue to bring it up 3) Tell her again that she's not going to be my MOH and be as firm as I can be 4) Talk to my fiancé and see if he's willing to elope We're paying for the wedding, btw. |

Question: What's the *LEAST* read Bible verse at weddings? Posted: 01 Apr 2015 11:42 PM PDT I figure it might be this one: "She lusted after their genitals--as large as those of donkeys, and their seminal emission was as strong as that of stallions." - Ezekiel 23:20 They might reserve that one for bridal showers, but I'm not sure. |
Question: So if a person chooses NOT to marry, that individual is immature selfish? Posted: 01 Apr 2015 07:51 PM PDT "Because the majority of people want to get married & most immature selfish people don't." This quote I read from a female user. Why is it immature and selfish if someone doesn't want to get married? https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20150401184553AAwScYa you didn't have to answer... To bonn... If a person chooses to protect him/her self financially and avoid divorce marriage? Thats immature and selfish...? how can women be trusted? |
Question: How do I stop the gay marriages? Posted: 01 Apr 2015 06:40 PM PDT I'm Opel and a religious Christian who is trying to stop the gay marriages. What should I do to stop them getting married and also to keep them from moving into the neighborhood? The Lord is going to bring hellfire and brimstone on this nation if we do not stop the sinning. |
Posted: 01 Apr 2015 11:53 AM PDT I'm getting married soon, and my fiancé and I were looking at wedding bands. My engagement ring is a lite too big but cannot be downsized sadly, but I do not want another ring because this is the one holds a lot of sentimental value. The idea of 2 wedding bands appealed to me to hold my ring in place. My fiancé told me he wants nothing but the best for me and picked these out. Looking at my rings together, I feel like there is too much bling, but he loves it. I love sparkles, but have always been more simple. I'm thinking of returning both rings and getting 2 simple plain bands instead. Advice or opinions? |
