About six months ago we started hanging out more frequently and more recently we have been hanging out more and more. We mostly hang out for long periods of time. Sometimes he'll text me and see if I just want to go on a walk if I'm too busy to hangout as long as usual (we're both college students and we live pretty close to each other). We both initiate hanging out. He's never rescheduled and he always makes at least an hour of time available to hang out even when he's busy. Every time I mention wanting to do something, he suggests that we do that activity. I thought he liked me but awhile ago when we hung out, he mentioned going out that night because "there's this girl" so I figured he wasn't into me like that, but he hasn't mentioned her since. The last time we hungout, he brought up my love life, asking if I was in a relationship and when I said no he asked me why not and when I was talking about why he kept kind of justifying why I could feel that way AND still be in a relationship. He always says things like "Well, you're a trustworthy person" or laughs in like a non-judgmental way when I do something like spill something on myself or accidentally put a sweater on inside out. He's a good friend so I don't want to make things awkward by coming right out and asking him if we're more than just friends. |

I know her from camp and she goes to school in the town next to me. Every once in a while we Skype. Whenever she goes to bed she texts me goodnight even if we weren't texting at the time. We are both 15 and freshman in highschool. We both posted birthday pics for each other on Instagram. She says a lot of her friends tease her about liking me but she claims we are just bffs and that she doesnt like anyone. The only thing she wont tell me is who she likes. She tells me she loves me like a best friend. She says I'm the only person she texts every day. Usually she responds pretty quickly and says she can tell me everything and that I'm a good texter. The other day she was hanging out with her friends but she got bored and started texting me and as an excuse to sit there texting she told her friends she was dating a guy from the school that I go to (referring to me). When she got her phone taken away she instant messaged me on Skype from her computer so she could talk to me. When she wannts to post on instagram she asks which one she should do.She calls maxxy instead of max. I really like her so do you think she likes me back? We did almost everything together, talked all the time, we would hug etc. Then I started liking her, and she liked someone else. But we would act like we were dating, we hugged constantly, flirted, I kept rubbing her hair etc. But then we kept getting into fights because I was jealous. Eventually, she found out her crush liked her back and I got extremely jealous. And she started trying to make me more jealous, and then I eventually blew up, and we went from best friends to just friends. Except, she started ignoring me a bit, and we were both fighting to I eventually ended the relationship. It's almost been a year, and since then, at church she'll smile, wave, and say hi to me first, but that's it. But today, we talked for the first time. I was talking to friends, and her and her family waved, smiled big, and she said hey. So I showed them my permit (just got it) to initiate a conversation. Minutes later, our families talk, and we both awkwardly stand there. I ask how she is, and she says good. She apologizes for being a jerk, and says that we don't have to make "this" awkward. She says it's hard to see me at church and act like we don't know each other. Then I told her straight up that I miss her, and then we just stare at each other and give each other sad faces. We were inseparable. Always had been. We were so alike and got along so well. He was 15 and I was 16. I had never loved anyone as much as I loved him. He treated me like a princess. He always put me first, he cancelled his plans for me, (I know this sounds awful) but he even cut off some of his friends to spend more time with me. We had so much chemistry and passion. It was going great until I realized his parents hated me. That was sign one of it not working out. Then I started getting annoyed when his they wouldn't let us spend time together. I started getting annoyed at them so much that I actually started to get annoyed of him and everything he did. I didn't want him buying me stuff, telling me he loved me. I was so rude. I hated not being accepted by his parents. I let it get to me so much that I broke up with him over text. It's the end of junior year now, and we still haven't talked. Last night I went to prom with friends and saw him dancing with his date. Having a lot of fun. And I realized I did the worst thing I could've ever done; I broke up with the person I loved more than anything. I gor so upset, I left prom in fifteen minutes and went and drank to numb myself. It didn't help. I'm still so upset. I don't know how to be someone he would want back but I need him so much. His acceptance is the only acceptance I care about. |

I'm a junior and he's a senior, so i didnt know most of his friends. he introduced me to them, and now we hang out a lot as a group. its 8 of us, sometimes 9. they're basically the popular kids, so theyre all very good looking. last weekend, my boyfriend and i were going to hang out with them, but he couldn't go but i could. I told him I still wanted to go, and he was kinda trying to convince me not to, but i insisted and he hesitantly said i could go if i wanted. we normally just go to someones house and just watch a movie or drink. last week we watched a movie. last night, they invited us over, but my boyfriend had lacrosse so he said he couldn't go. i didnt ask him if i could go, i just went and i thought he'd just assume i went again without him or he wouldn't care. we were drinking, and i was getting really drunk. i was just lying on the couch and one of my guy friends was sitting on the end. he told me i could put my head on his lap, so i did. I didn't think much of that. i kept laughing, not only because i was drunk but bc they're generally really funny. anyway my guy friend and i were talking and he started playing with my hair and we were laughing. the doorbell rang and i knew someone came in but i didnt know who. he walked in the room and as soon as i saw him, i jumped up. not bc what i thought i was doing was wrong, but i was surprised. he just looked at me, laughed, and walked out. i chased after him but he told me he didnt want to talk to me and drove home. my one sober guy friend drove me home after this, and i texted my boyfriend a thousand apologies and that i didnt think it was a big deal, and then he accused me of liking his best friend and cheating. i tried to convince him otherwise, but he keeps saying I'm lying. he said he's not gonna talk to me if I'm gonna lie, and i called him 10 times and texted him 20, but he's not answering. On New Year's Eve day, I woke up and decided to leave the state and move to a new one, I texted the boy and told him I'm leaving, we met up before I left and we both cried cause of my knee jerk decision but he said he understood. I moved back 2 months later and we went back to hanging out. I've met the people he cares about the most. I drive an hour from my house to his to see him, come over at stupid hours of th night when he asks and spoil him with back scratches and other crap. He keeps things in my car because he's too lazy to take it out. He doesn't really compliment me or spoil me, which is fine. He can be a real jerk sometimes though. I'm just confused about what's going on. Neither of us are talking to anyone else but he's also not my boyfriend. Advice is much appreciated. Our walk in the park and stop for coffee ended up being 8 hours, and I met his family and had so much fun. He asked me out again for the very next day, and it went the same as the day before. So much fun, easygoing, never a dull moment of conversation. He has every quality I've ever looked for in a guy, and it's eerie how similar he is to my dad in his interests. There's almost too much in common for him to be purely coincidental in my life. Still, he texted me the next day and said his last relationship ended 10 months ago, and although he was over the girl, driving past her neighborhood to take me home sparked memories of their relationship. He said he's not over "what the relationship did to him," assuming because he said it was a good relationship and he wasn't expecting it to end. He told me he's not ready yet, which I can respect and am so grateful he told me so soon in to knowing each other. We didn't talk for 3 days, and I finally texted him and said hey. He never responded, and it's been a couple days now. What could I have done wrong? Am I worrying over nothing? I can respect that he's not ready for a new relationship, but I'd like to at least maintain a nice friendship... Help, please? |

I dont mind the girl, and she is pretty hot so I would be ok with dating her, but it is just so awkward every time I am around her or her friends. I wasn't going to go to prom, but coaches and friends talked me into it, one coach telling me I should go with this new girl. So I asked her a few days before (she was already going with friends), and she said yes. She was new to the school, and we tagged along with another couple. I never even went to a dance in high school, and I don't go out much (I am not a loser though, I am a varsity football player and track athlete who is involved, I am just kind of introvert). I had a great time, and I think she did too. Now I cant get her off my mind, but I am trying to play it cool. I talked to her a bit at school and texted for 3 hours a week ago. Before ending the texting conversation, I mentioned hanging out and she said "Oh yes of course, that would be lovely!" Just Thursday we had 10 minutes of small talk between classes. But Saturday I texted her hey, and she said hey how's it going 40 minutes later. I replied and told her what I was doing, and then asked her how she was. There was no reply, and still no reply today. I am worried if maybe she lost interest. I have never really had a girlfriend, so I am new to this. She is very social and popular, but I don't think she ever had a boyfriend. I am real jokey around my guy friends but when Im around someone else or a woman I like the funniness is gone. My friend took me out on a double date with one of his girls and her girlfriend one day. It took a min to get comfortable but after a while because I was with my friend I was able to be myself joke and converse with the girls naturally. This friend of mine also took me out in the city to show me how easy it is to talk to women, because hes a social butterfly and hes good with the ladies. However, I havent seen this friend on over a year but I never have the courage or balls to do this on my own because for some reason it doesnt feel the same every time I force myself to go out to do it. I end up not talking to anyone afterward. Can someone help me gain the motivation to even start and continue to practice by myself. Also for some reason every time when i go to the bank, I am very capable to smoothly talk with all the female bank tellers there. They all think Im cool and laidback but I cant ever seem to talk like this outside when i want to. |

Something inside me tells me to have sex just to get it over with, but also I know if I get it over with, it'll just be a waste of time, and It won't be special with a girl who matters I have some experience w/ girls like making out and going out to clubs and all that. Hell, I also work out everyday because I love fitness. But the problem is, girls believe thst I'm a player bevusse I have a nice body and lift and care about my physical well being. Also, me being black might be a problem because I like white and Hispanic girls, and most of the time, whenever I try to initiate something, I end up basically being friend zoned. Like all the pretty ones don't like me back. And I would consider my face like a 7. I just feel like giving up and just lifting and focus more on lifting and all that, until someone decides that they actually want me, because I'm for real tired of doing all the chasing and rejection hurting my ego. We have each other's numbers and he texts me quite frequently, whenever he has the chance actually. Anyhow, he is in my friend group so we all try to coordinate times to hang out (go to the movies, froyo, etc.), but I'm usually busy so I can almost never go. This puts him in this phase I call guilt-tripping. He tries to get me to go by saying things like: "I'm used to things like this," "It's fine if you don't wanna spend time with me," "*gulp* there goes another anti-depressant pill," or "it's not the first time this has happened to me." Contrary to what he says, he is easily the most lively one out of all of us and I pay the most amount of attention on him than the rest of my friends. He knows I'm the "mom" of the group so he tries to play to that role to get my attention on him so he feels more loved by me. I'm trying to "teach" him that doing the "guilt-trip" will lead me away instead of doing what he wants me to do. However, he is not getting the memo and continues these strategies to get my attention. My question to you is how can I deal with this guy who is always so desperate for my attention that he will always try to "guilt-trip" me into things? So everyday at school I find him looking at me and he always try's to walk in front of me. Also this happened on friday , we were going to a music concert to preforme with the school but alex didn't go. When we got back he was walking with his friend to class and said " why did you go to the concert that thing is for nerds" then he looked back directly at me and no one was in the hallway, but he said it in a joking tone. Now all the time he is teasing me about random stuff like I am short and stuff. But one time when we went trick or treating he gave me his jacket cause I was cold. And when we went snowboarding he gave me his hat and let me keep it for awhile. I think he likes me but im not really sure but he doesn't act like this with other girls or anyone at all. Was just scared of getting hurt again, she'll say nonsense about she never loved me I guess it's her pride. She tries to make me jealous trying to see if I care about her, and throw tantrums or show jealousy when she accuses me of ignoring her which I don't ignore her. We had a big fight two weekends ago, I tried to aplogize but she ignored my texts. We talk two days later she tells me she hates me and I tell her I love her. She claims she doesn't care but keeps responding to me. The next day I tell her I miss her she asks why I want her attention. I tell cause I've never cared about anyone as much as I do her and feel like we can relate. We seem to make peace and talk for a couple of minutes. Then all of a sudden she says "I don't need you to entertain me bye." That's the last thing she said to me, it's been almost two weeks and she hasn't responded to none of my texts. We've had fights before and she's ignores me, but she comes eventually. She acts so immature and cruel sometimes. She knows she's tearing my heart apart and seems like she's enjoying it. I feel like a emotionally abuse victim sometime. I love her and just want to be with her and her baby. I just want them to be apart of each other's lives. Need Advice. |

(We're both 23 & 5 years together) For the past year it's been nothing but hectic with work, school, and heavy commuting (to school) I feel like I always make time for him, but he doesn't. I've told him too, and he get upsets and says he does the best he can but I really don't feel he does... when I asked him why he doesn't ask me on dates anymore he said that he just assumed Saturday we hang out so he doesn't have to ask. The romance is all gone, it seems everything he has just taken for granted. No surprise little gifts, like EVER not even on our 5 year anniversary. No random visits to my house to see how I'm doing. We did almost everything together, talked all the time, we would hug etc. Then I started liking her, and she liked someone else. But we would act like we were dating, we hugged constantly, flirted, I kept rubbing her hair etc. But then we kept getting into fights because I was jealous. Eventually, she found out her crush liked her back and I got extremely jealous. And she started trying to make me more jealous, and then I eventually blew up, and we went from best friends to just friends. Except, she started ignoring me a bit, and we were both fighting to I eventually ended the relationship. It's almost been a year, and since then, at church she'll smile, wave, and say hi to me first, but that's it. But today, we talked for the first time. I was talking to friends, and her and her family waved, smiled big, and she said hey. So I showed them my permit (just got it) to initiate a conversation. Minutes later, our families talk, and we both awkwardly stand there. I ask how she is, and she says good. She apologizes for being a jerk, and says that we don't have to make "this" awkward. She says it's hard to see me at church and act like we don't know each other. Then I told her straight up that I miss her, and then we just stare at each other and give each other sad faces. She just requested to follow me on Instagram. Should I ask for her number (she got a new phone)? Advice? |
