Question: GUYS: why cheat if you have what you need and want? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 09:15 PM PDT So I'm married and I'm the type of woman who knows just loving your husband isn't quite enough. I cook and clean and take care of our girls with no complaint and I love sex and I stay fit and I know I'm not ugly, I'm spontaneous I make my own money I don't expect anything but love in return? I've always been independent so why would a husband get tempted are guys just that greedy? |
Question: His family is supporting his choice to have an affair? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 09:05 PM PDT I found out my husband was having an affair by her posting a photo of them together on facebook and tagging him it it. Some of my husband's relatives 'liked' the photo which completely shocked me. We've been together since we were 18. I am going to file for divorce, but I am totally thrown off by his family supporting his affair. I privately asked them why they 'liked' it and they said he looks happy in the photo and his happiness is what I should support. Totally baffled. Am I in the wrong here? |
Question: How do you feel about Same sex marriage? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 09:01 PM PDT |
Posted: 30 Apr 2015 08:50 PM PDT I'm 37 year old single mom and I do not want to be married let alone be in a relationship. I've been with my child's father on and off for years and it's been off for 4 years. Out relationship ideas dysfunctional but I ended up adjusting to the dysfunction. I've met a few people an they were all really nice but I'm tired of getting to know them and telling them about me and talking several times a day and dating. I'm just turned off and I actually enjoy sleeping alone, cooking for myself and my daughter and just dealing with my child. I don't want to be with anyone or be married to anyone who needs attention and has "issues". Is this normal to feel this way? Should I get counseling ? Or is this perfectly fine? |

Question: Husband put a personal ad on Craigslist for a one night stand? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 07:58 PM PDT I need advice, I found out that my husband put a ad on Craigslist for a one night stand the day after our baby shower, he's in the navy and went home that night before me because he had work. He's such a devoted and loving husband and is so great with our two girls. He always tells me how much he loves me. I'm no sure if anything happened from that ad or if he hooked up. I want to confront him about it but not sure how. Have any GUYS ever domes this? I was 8 months pregnant and was kind of getting to where making love was tiring at the time. Idk, I stay fit and basically wait on him hand and foot so I'm confused as to why he would feel the need to do that? Anyone ever go through this? |
Question: Purchase money security interest? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 07:41 PM PDT I'm divorced. My ex just filed chapter 7 bankruptcy. Apparently she told A furniture company that she owes money to that I have a sofa and tables and chairs and the furniture company sent me a letter today saying either I pay them 1000 to keep the furniture or give it back to them. However, I never received a sofa and never had it in my possession and I sold the table and chairs for cash after the divorce. The tables and chairs were given to me in the divorce. What can I do? |

Question: Husband and I have separated and I just found out I'm pregnant? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 07:22 PM PDT My husband and I have been married for 18 years. (We're both in our late 30s). We have four kids already, and we recently separated from one another due to arguing and him accusing me of cheating. (I haven't). I missed my period (I thought it was just stress), but I have begun to throw up as well. It's just like my other pregnancies, but I bought another test to be sure. It came back positive. I haven't told anyone, but I want to tell my husband. But I don't know how he will react or even if he wants to be with me. He came back home a few weeks ago and we made love that night, so that's most likely when I got pregnant. I don't want him to think I trapped him or something if he really wants to leave. But I'm afraid he will leave me if I tell him. My mind is a mess and I need advice. Please help me. |
Question: Changing Surname Confusion? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 07:14 PM PDT Ok this is a really dumb question but I'm just wondering right now. So I've heard of two people getting married, one of them takes the other's surname and it will be the surname of their children. I've heard of people not changing their surnames, and the children get one of the two. I've heard of joined, hyphenated surnames where the surnames are combined with a hyphen, and thats the surname that the children get. But I'm confused about say, the case of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan or Kim Kardashian West. So her name is Kim Noel Kardashian, she marries Kanye West and becomes Kim Kardashian West. Are the two names Kardashian and West both her surname (like a hyphenated surname but no hyphen), and her middle name just disappears? Is Kardashian her middle name now, and West her surname? ALSO the name Kardashian West is just for her; Kanye is still just Kanye West, and their daughter is just North West? Like if my name is something like idk Alice Jane Johnson and I marry a Bob White and decide to change my name in the way previously described, that would make me Alice Johnson White and him Bob White. And then the kids would just be Jimmy and Sally White. Alice Johnson White, whats the middle name and whats the surname?? Somebody explain to me I'm just curious. |

Posted: 30 Apr 2015 05:25 PM PDT I grew up in a blue collar home, and have advanced in my career where I am now making $120K per year. I do live in an expensive part of the country (NJ). My husband keeps making me feel like I don't make enough money. He says that I deserve more, I have the ability to make more, and everyone we know makes more than us (he makes 135K) and where did we go wrong that we are not making enough money? I felt like I achieved success and now I feel like it's not good enough. I though the average salary was like 50K? Should I be happy with my salary who is he right that I am limited myself? by the way I am in sales management. |

Question: Are marred men better in bed? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 05:23 PM PDT A friend of mine and I were chatting earlier, about married men being increasingly better in bed. I don't know how true this is because I have never done so. She has , and even though I don't condone that type of behavior she said the sex was the most amazing thing . I have to ask you all , are married men better in bed? Is it because of the expirence ? Or because they have someone whose new .. And exciting. Personal stories are more than welcomed. I am just curious. |
Question: My husband took his wedding ring off. Could he be cheating? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 05:09 PM PDT My husband works 12hrs a day 7days a week. We don't get hardly anytime together. He comes home goes on his computer to read news and check out sales whatever then goes to bed. Well tonight I went in the room and was laying on him and they noticed his ring was not on his finger. Question: How can i make two months go by fast? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 05:06 PM PDT So my brother is getting married in July and hearing about it is driving me mad and I was wondering how I could make time go by faster |
Posted: 30 Apr 2015 04:34 PM PDT So I´m in love with an Indian guy for 6 years. I´m a European girl. He had arranged marriage 4 years ago and he has a child. We didn´t talk after he got married for maybe a year. Then, I don´t even know how, we started talking again. He has more than 100 of my pics which he is hiding from his wife. I love this man so much, I think I´ll never love anyone like him. He had arranged marriage with a woman he saw first time on his wedding. He doesn´t seem happy although he doesn´t like talking about his marriage. Few times he mentioned she is yelling at him. Seems like she´s very nervous woman and she hurts him all the time verbally. He was simply not strong enough to say no to his parents. That´s how he is brought up. I know how much he loves me and I love him too a lot. I also know that marriage like that is not valuable in Islam, sound s harsh, but it´s true. What should I do? How can I make him realize that he doesn´t have to suffer for the rest of his life? He´s one of those people that chose to suffer instead of speaking up. I know we are perfect for each other. Is there any way I can get him back? Any advice? Please don´t judge me. I know many people might criticize me, but no one´s perfect. |
Posted: 30 Apr 2015 04:31 PM PDT My parents got into a fight a few hours and are not speaking to each other. What should I do? I scared that one these days, they're going to get into a fight so bad that they might divorce. Please tell me what should I do? |

Question: I'm pregnant with my 5th child and my husband annoys me, what do I do? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 04:03 PM PDT I'm 26 and married to my husband who is 29. We have 4 young kids including a 10 month old. I'm stay at home mom for the moment and my husband works long hours. He annoys me all the time and leaves the cupboards open and leaves the milk out. He gives the kids candy too often even if I tell him not to and he makes annoying jokes. I'm very tired with 4 kids having to take care of the house cook and everything I never have time for myself. When the kids sleep I have to spend time with my husband and listen to his boring nonsense. He's so full of himself. He just talks about how stressed he is about everything and never thinks about me. I tell him to put the milk away and be more organized but he still does it. When he comes home from work he just eats, watches TV and plays with the kids. I wish I had more time for myself but I'm always tired. The other day we went out to eat and my husband was a slob and the kids were crying and I was embarrassed but my husband just laughed and told me to lighten up. I took a pregnancy test since I missed my period and it came out positive. We usually use the pull out method so I'm surprised. I don't want a 5th baby with all the stress I'm going through and I haven't even told my husband. My husband is good for nothing he can't even pull out! I blame him for this pregnancy and I feel like he has ruined my life, what do I do? |
Posted: 30 Apr 2015 03:43 PM PDT Hello, This is the first time I use the internet fro my problem. I am from Saudi Arabia. My culture is well known for being too conservative. I am muslim. I met a girl online when I was in San Francisco. She converted to Islam. WE later got married and moved to WA together although everyone was against us my family and hers. we had lost of arguments and issues. she would always break up with me but the sooner she sees that I am gone she comes back crying. But after two years of marriage, her grandma got very sick and she went to California to see her. once she died, my wife found a stupid reason to break up with me as always. I drove to CA the same night and went twice just to see her and talk but she rejected me. She sent me a pic of her with another female friend but without hijab as she left islam that night. it hurt so bad. the night after that she started adding new guys and i begged her to stop because she knew that this was my weakness. she kept on. My whole life flipped upside down. I stayed in our place alone as I had a memory of her cooking and etc so I went to alcohol which made things worse and she called my government to tell them as this is a crime in my country. my government pulled me back to Saudi Arabia and luckily I got out of it. And I went back to continue studying but somehow I figured out that she keeps checking on me a lot. I talked with her after 3 months of no contact. She surprised me with cursing me and my race, religion, God etc. I could not hold |

Question: Why would a woman have a child with a man that only wants? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 02:34 PM PDT Why would a woman have a child with a man that only wants children if he does not have to pay a dime in child support to the mother, and he would be the custodial parent? She says that he is a very good father to his daughter and finically supports her, but does not pay her mother a dime in child support. Question: How to forgive and forget? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 01:52 PM PDT My spouse of ten years recently told me he slept with someone. This girl is currently pregnant-and not by him. They recently met a few weeks ago and she is in fact showing. I can't wrap my mind around this. I don't know what made him want that. I have never withheld sex and am generally always in the mood. I'm disgusted and feel so betrayed. He is embarrassed by the whole thing and mainly because if the aftermath. He told me he isn't talking to her anymore and have cuts ties. I don't know how to even begin to forgive him? He says it happened last week and he just told me last night. How can you move forward? I don't want him to touch me or even hold me at night. I look at him and see disgust. I love this man I really do and I have forgiven so many things in the past. I just don't know how to with this??? We still aren't even married yet. And I really want that and to start a family. He is 34 me 27. |
Question: My mom got married without telling me? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 01:50 PM PDT After my parents got a divorce, my mom immedietly started dating this 21 year old (she was 45)..through these last 2 1/2 years they've been dating she sort of focused all her attention away from her 6 kids to focus on this low life who just got out of prison. Anyways..we have maintained a relationship since but i found out yesterday that they got married three days ago and all she did was laughed it off and said she forgot to tell me. i'm very hurt because i don't think that was right. i dont even know how to react..should i be happy for her or pissed off/upset? |

Question: The "Dumper" trash talks the "Dumpee" and her New Husband. Why? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 01:15 PM PDT Picture it: A 32 year old Man dates a 25 year old Woman for 4 years...He gets GIGS and dumps her to start "seeing other people", after trying for 3 months to get back together with him, the Woman (dumpee) gives up and meets another Man. The Dumper bounces from one relationship to another, and cant seem to commit to any of them...Meanwhile the Dumpee gets married and has a child with her new Husband and they just celebrated their 3 year anniversary. The original Dumper is obviously upset and trash talks to the dumpee and her new Husband to mutual friends, but why? My question is why did the Dumper expect the Dumpee to stay miserable without him, and then act like it was a blow to his Ego when it didn't happen? Obviously this about my Ex and I. He dumped me for another Woman (claims nothing happened between them while in a relationship with me). I moved on and never looked back. Mutual friends tell me my Ex trash talks me AND my Husband..Why?! He was the one that didn't want the relationship anymore. |
Posted: 30 Apr 2015 01:14 PM PDT swbarnes2 (a.k.a. Babehart) has said that I treat my wife like a NPC, along with all the other people in the world. While there is SOME truth to this (I could care less about other people's beliefs/opinions and I look at them objectively) this isn't entirely true. I try like hell to learn my wife's thoughts and inner world, but she can't express it and tries to "shoo" me away. And for the record, I did NOTHING to deserve this; it's been this way since we met when I was 19 (13.5 years ago). So if she ISN'T a NPC, and she has feelings of her own that are beyond her duty to her "God", then why can't she express it? I ask in text, in email, in person, over the phone, in a letter, and even through body language. She refuses to show it. So if you can't show it, and you aren't going to get therapy to get over your issues, then you MUST be a NPC. In that case I don't have to value her as an individual since she isn't being one (except by not conforming to woman stereotypes in the local area - see my other question about rebelling to understand). While this question is really just an attack on swbarnes2/Babehart, there is a question here. If a person doesn't communicate their emotions, how are you supposed to know they really exist outside of the roles they serve in your life? Or do they not exist since they never created an identity? When I ask questions on here, a lot of people ASSUME that my wife had the same life they did. It's hard to believe she is a mute... But she is. |
Question: How do I keep my marriage from fizzling when we see too much of each other? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 01:04 PM PDT I am a stay-at-home mom (baby is only 4 months) and my husband works from home. We literally see each other all day, every day. What can I do to keep our marriage from becoming...co-workers? |
Question: Joint custody of child...he is not happy with mother? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 12:42 PM PDT we got divorced 2 years ago and have joint custody he is with me every other weekend rest of the time he is with her...so 4/30 days he is with me. He is 8 years old and is not happy at all being with her , he tells me she is always arguing with people on the phones, too serious with him, and he is never home as she has a busy schedule.....he is tired of her...there is not much i can do legal wise to get custody because there is no proof for me to present that she is not a good mother...my son wants to go to school and tell possibly the nurse that he is not happy with the mother and maybe that can be a possible route to make my son like a normal child and not be stressed out while he is with her and be unhappy....is this ok to do?? |
Question: Does he only want me when I'm taken? (sorry for the 1D reference, but yeah lol)? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 12:34 PM PDT I've known this man for 3 years. I've loved him for 2. He was married up until December 2013 when his wife asked him for a divorce. I think they're still only separated. Our friendship or whatever has been an emotional rollercoaster since he's become separated over a year ago. He'll be so hot and cold, acting like he wants nothing to do with me one moment and then making me think there could be something there another moment. Truth betold, I don't think he knows what he wants. I just think he wants as much female attention as he can get, in order to make himself feel better. I do know that he had a date with a woman around New Years, but I don't think there's anything serious going on there. I hadn't seen him for almost 8 months. I tried really hard, but he's always working and is just always too busy with his kids and work and what not. I think he just tries to keep himself busy to keep his mind off everything. I got a boyfriend in early March and since then, this man has been acting weird. He's recently been showing me a lot of attention these past couple of weeks and being really sweet to me. My mom was recently in the hospital and he said he hopes everything is okay. I went to dinner with my friend and her kids at the restaurant he works at this past Sunday and he was awesome. He kept checking on us and gave me two great hugs and said he wants me to visit more and that we'll have to hang out sometime. He was even going to walk us out, but he wanted to leave early and I had to get my check still and finish my drink. Later that night, he blew up my Facebook with"likes" lol. But my fake friend told my boyfriend all about this other guy and he broke up with me. Now that I'm single, this guy suddenly has stopped showing me attention. Does he only want me when I am taken or something? He was the same way with the last two guys I dated. I'm 24, he's 36. |

Question: How many people who list DIVORCE as the solution have actually been married? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 12:05 PM PDT Many times (most of the time) when we read questions from husbands who are upset about a cheating wife or a wife who doesn't know what to do about a cheating husband, there are always 1-line answers from people who suggest that DIVORCE is the only option. "Leave! You deserve better!" I'm wondering how many of the people who give these answers have actually been married? How many people who think DIVORCE is the answer have kids with their spouse? Own a home? Have a savings account? Do people REALLY think it's going to be easier to hire an attorney? Divide up your assets? Fight and argue over who gets to keep the couch? The TV? The dishes? The silverware? The glasses? The bed? The dresser? The hair dryer? Do the people who suggest DIVORCE as the solution, think about what you'll tell your friends? Your family? The teacher in your kids class? Speaking of your kids, what do they suggest you tell them? And where do these people suggest that you live? Are you going to be able to afford to stay in your home if you kick your husband/wife out? I realize that when a spouse cheats, it's a betrayal. It hurts. It stings. It's something that MANY married couples never get over. But if there's a chance you can work through it, , isn't that a lot easier and simpler than turning your lives (and your kids lives) upside down and getting divorced??? |

Question: Is it legally possible in the United States to have two last names? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 11:38 AM PDT I am from the United States. I recently married my husband in his country where most people have two last names. On our marriage certificate, the government put my name with two last names. (My mother's maiden name is a second middle name.) This is actually how I want my name to legally be, but at least when I was born, it was not possible in the United States to have two last names. You could give your child the last name SmithPhillips or Smith-Phillips (examples), but you could not give your child the last names Smith Phillips. Does anyone know if that has changed? I'm not so concerned for the marriage certificate as I am about our children in the future as they will have two last names if born here and one if born in the United States. The issue is that if I hyphenate my name, I still wouldn't have two last names. I would be Smith-Phillips (still just an example). So, my children, when they are born (if born here) would be something like Hernandez Smith-Phillips as Smith-Phillips would be ONE last name and my only one which I would therefore have to give to my children, and if I gave birth to them in the States would be just Hernandez, Hernandez-Smith, Hernandez-Smith-Phillips, or Washington (just for the fun of it). |
Question: Cheating??? need some advice please? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 11:20 AM PDT Me and husban have dated for 6 years. We been married for a year now. 6 months into our marriage he was acting kinda wired, and when we would go over to my parents house he would act very nice to my cousin who live at my parent house. but I didn't really think of him doing anything like that too me. one day I ask him if I see his phone because mine wasn't working. So he gave me his phone and I was trying to call my sister when I see that he got a Facebook message from my cousin. So I open it because it was wired that they texted each other. And in the text she said she wanted to go to the movies and if he wanted to go with her. I was confused, mad when I saw this so I ask him what going on with you and my cousin. I show him the text and he say that she asking everyone to go with because she know one wanted to go with her. So I ask is there anything going between you two. He said no and then we got into a argument and I started crying. But that day he promise me that there nothing going on. So I trusted him and few weeks later I saw this phone go off and again a Facebook message saying they both like each other and stuff like that. I so mad, I went to my parents and confronted her and also my husband shows up . Me and my husband talked I ask him if anything else happen. He only once they kiss that all. I felt so hurt. I gave him a chance but a year into our marriage I just feel the love for him is not the same. Is hard to trust him again. I wonder if this is the end need advice |
Posted: 30 Apr 2015 10:46 AM PDT I am a rebel. I do things my own way and I don't care what others think. I've spent 25 of my 33 years alive fighting norms and trying to be allowed individuality by my peers and by professionals. It is a constant struggle. Everyone would rather conform and let the social norms in place determine their value and worth. Not me, I've struggled to get what I deserve. I am an underdog. But I am growing tired of the struggle. Having to constantly defend my point of view, defend my self esteem, and defend my values is honestly tiring. I've considered conforming in the past but it just didn't feel right. Not after this long of struggling. But now I'm just a rebel without a cause. My wife is a quasi rebel. On the surface she does what she's told but underneath it all she is a nonconformist like me. She wants control over herself, but she plays along when she's required to (weddings, dates, funerals, etc) but she still only does it to meet the minimums. She wants a traditional marriage where she's a sahm, but she wants to do it her way (I would have NONE of the perks other men do). I've told her that I'm growing wore down by our constant struggle, and she's very indifferent about it (from what I can tell anyways - she ACTS like she has no feelings but I have to remind myself she does, she just doesn't share them). At the moment I have no friends and my wife has only one. Nonconforming just isn't very popular in our area... |

Question: I think I really messed up my marriage this time. Need advice? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 10:06 AM PDT Ok, so I just recently found out I was pregnant but I'm not really sure if the child is my husbands or the guy I've been sleeping with. This happened before but the guy I was sleeping with then was white so my husband hasn't suspected if our son is his or not (I'm not sure on that myself either). But this time there is no hiding it because the guy I've been sleeping with now is black. I slept with him and my husband on the same day so I'm not sure who the father is. If I give birth to a half black child while my husbands watches I don't know what he might do. I have two choices as I see them. I can either tell him the truth or just abort the baby and avoid all the drama. What should I do? |

Posted: 30 Apr 2015 09:59 AM PDT So newly married maybe two weeks we had been together for six months before we wed, i had a bad feeling about something that led me to check the cell phone records of my husband, thats how this all started, found out he hooked up with his ex 1 time before we moved in together in january, we started dating 3 months before that in october, so i was willing to let it go the last month in march we had gotten into an argument and he was gone for 2 days staying with his old roomate and i just gave him time to cool off, turns out he was talking to some girl, this is the first week of march and we got married the first week of april, well he says he was only talking on the phone with her that one night but as im looking at the phone record he was calling her at least once a week the rest of march, i cant see past that because the new bill isnt out yet. I was willing to let the first thing go and now this i feel is too much, the day after i confronted him about the number, the phone is diconnected, we had also gotten into an argument because he was missing 2 overtime hours on his paycheck and he said he had asked his supervisor about it, thats what he said last week and now lastnight he said he lied about talking to him just to shut me up. Now im just sick to my stomach i dont know what to think, i dont know if its just me jumping to conclusions, i need an outside opinion. We just got married and i feel so ashamed to admit it was a mistake but not sure if i can just let everything go. |
Question: Who's responsibility is it to figure out what the wife is feeling? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 09:41 AM PDT Is it the wife's responsibility to tell the husband what she is feeling since people aren't mind readers and able to "just know" what other people are feeling (especially if there aren't any outward expressions as hints)? Or is it the husband's responsibility to play detective and figure out what she is feeling and try to show empathy by assuming you know how she feels and treating her that way (even though you two don't think/feel the same way about things)? Explain your answer. |
Question: Is never marrying okay if I don't ever want to share my money with any man? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 09:06 AM PDT I want to protect my finances. I've seen some men really hurt women financially. I have seen boyfriends do it too. Personally, my money is my money and I don't want to share it with anyone other than my blood. A husband can be here today but gone the next. Is it okay to stay single here? |

Question: Is a wife betraying her husband if she sometimes puts her career before him? Posted: 30 Apr 2015 08:41 AM PDT I say no. Remember, no money, no honey. I'd never put a husband before my career all the time. Husbands are replaceable in most cases but not good careers. Not saying I'll always favour my career more, but in many cases, it'll come first; he'll be second. What do you think? |
