Question: My best friend/bridesmaid just got engaged? Posted: 19 Apr 2015 10:51 PM PDT I am having uneasy feelings about this. For my wedding I haven't been asking a lot of any of my bridesmaids. I simply just ask that they pay for their dress and show up for the bachelor(ette) party and wedding day and have a blast! My best friend, however, has not been committing to coming to the bridal Shower or bachelor(ette) party. I've given her months ahead and Still 3 months to despair! She tells me she doesn't know what her schedule will be like (this was before her engagment) mind you, she isn't working and isn't in school. Her parents are paying for her to live with her current fiance, pay all her bills and have paid for her dress. , it concerns me that she can't commit to showing up to the special events. Out of the 9 years we've been best friends, this boyfriend/fiancé I never met. I have a feeling that he has been running her life and controlling what she is to do. She's never been to flake or not commit like this before. Weve talked about gettin together and doing double dates to finally meet her guy, but last summer my fiancé commented on a photo mentioning he had great shoes and then my best friends (bf/fiancé) replied back with, "look at the bloody face you're about to get" it just was very immature and uncalled for. It made no sense. So im starting to think he's been calling the shots in the relationship and am worried she will pull back more with her own wedding to plan for and maybe just not show. I don't know what to do at this point. Advice? |
Posted: 19 Apr 2015 10:48 PM PDT My husband is a groomsman in a wedding next month. We are both friends with the couple, but I never really expected to be invited. However, I don t know anyone else that will be there, and I get pretty bad anxiety in social situations like that. I want to be there to support them, but I don t want to be miserable all night sitting at a table full of strangers while my husband is off. I just don t want it in any way to come off like I m not going because I m mad I wasn t asked to be in the wedding party, because that is not that case whatsoever! I just legitimately already hate this kind of thing, and being alone for the wedding and half the reception sounds awful to me. Please don t judge me, if I just shouldn t go that would be fine by me. |
Question: Was I gang raped last night? Posted: 19 Apr 2015 08:52 PM PDT I was at a party bonfire and some guy was like hey want a xanax and I was like I never had a xanax before so sure, then I took it then 15 minutes later I split a beer with someone then I drank 3/4ths of another beer or something then I completely blacked out and I woke up shortly there after on his couch and it was morning and there was some other guy laying next to me but we were both fully clothed. Is it possible I could have been raped or molested. I asked my friend about it and he said I was up and did a few shots but I have no recollection at all and I never blacked out before that? |
Question: Quick advice on wedding shower invitation? Posted: 19 Apr 2015 08:47 PM PDT Making shower invites for soon to be sister in law.....they have pretty much everything they need already and dont' really want gifts aside from money for the honeymoon fund....but I'm not going to put bring money or even suggest it as it seems tacky;) But would it sound good to put "please bring lots of love and good wishes"? What do you think? |
Question: What bra would work with this dress? Posted: 19 Apr 2015 08:37 PM PDT My dress has a semi-sheer back and a lot of sheer material in front. I need more than sewn in cups, but what kind of bra won't show? http://www.essensedesigns.com/martina-liana/wedding-dresses/detail/574 |

Question: Religious non church wedding? Posted: 19 Apr 2015 06:11 PM PDT My fiancé and I are getting married at a local venue with an officiant I'm catholic and he's lutheran due to his heavy work load on a farm I'm the only one who attends church on a regular basis and the long hours for many months four counciling we are not having a church wedding. Our reading will all be biblical and our vows will be traditional. I'm just looking for other ways to bring our faith into our wedding. Any ideas? |
Question: Do people really marry their true love? Posted: 19 Apr 2015 05:19 PM PDT Idk if this makes sense but I feel like some people don't really marry their true love. They settle for who is the best ig but they never really marry the person they want to marry. Either because they can't or that other person might not think that that person is their true love. Like I said if this makes sense. |

Question: When someone changes the date of their wedding what can you do? Posted: 19 Apr 2015 09:56 AM PDT So my brother's step son is getting married out of state. Their wedding is going to be inexpensive and low keyed. They even emailed out the invitations in an effort to save money.Because my parents are disabled and because money is tight, we booked flights in advance and were lucky to get a good price on a hotel room that is handicapped accessible. I just started a new job a fe months ago and it wasn't easy for me to get a 4 day weekend but I got one. We just got an email today letting us know the wedding date has been changed because they got a better place and their price. The invitations were out already, emailed or not and we made arrangements to be there and it will be difficult and expensive to change things. Can I contact them and suggest they change the date back. This is my step nephew so he may just say sorry you can't make it and we will be stuck with a room and flight for something we can't use. Suggestions? BTW, my nephew is 30 and fiance is 28 they aren't dumb kids. |
Posted: 19 Apr 2015 09:09 AM PDT my bf is going back here in the Philippines so that we can our wedding. He is only going to be here for 5-6 weeks. Posted: 19 Apr 2015 07:49 AM PDT what song could I dance with my dad to at my wedding... the tricky part is I don't know him that well and he is not walking me down the isle, my grandpa is. I met my dad online when I was 16, I'm 25 now and we still haven't formed too much of a relationship but I still think it would be nice to dance with my dad at my wedding. I also met my 2 little sisters when I met my dad so I'd love to play something for them as well! let me know if you have any ideas! thanks! |
Question: I think my boyfriend wants to propose.. What to do? Posted: 19 Apr 2015 06:00 AM PDT My boyfriend and i are completely in love with each other. But around here we should follow the proposal tradition. I am afraid that when he comes to propose my dad would embarrass him or kick him out, what should i do? If i talk to dad previous he would reject having him arrive to propose! |
