Question: Have nothing to do with family on Facebook? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 01:19 PM PDT Before Facebook, I hadn't spoken to my cousins for years just because we all grew apart. After we connected on Facebook, we sort of got close - messaging each other and hanging out with our other cousins upstate. The last 4-5 years or so, however, they all keep to themselves and I wonder that the hell it was all for if everyone has their own lives. I have a big Italian family, but no one ever calls or invites each other to things. Then, when I see them once in a blue moon, they're like "don't be a stranger" which is dumb to say because no one reaches out to anyone. I don't even bother wishing my family happy birthday on FB just because they have nothing to do with me in real life - so why be courteous?? Is this a normal situation - to have NO family even though you reconnected with them after years of being at a distance? |
Question: How to convince my Mom to let me walk home from school? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 01:18 PM PDT So my girlfriend stays after school everyday and I wanted to do the same so I can hang out with her more but the after school bus doesn't go all the way to my house. I live on a slightly crazy road with a lot of turns on it but the walk from where my bus route ends to my house will only take me 5 minutes maximum and I can always walk slightly in the woods to avoid cars. My Dad agrees with these points but my Mom has final say in everything and she doesn't think it is safe. I know that it is perfectly safe however but when I try to give her my points she just gets mad at me and says never bring this up again. What should I do? I am 15 and she is only concerned about cars. |
Question: Is it safe a s a Muslim form Jordan to travel to America? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 01:02 PM PDT I will be traveling to America this June for the wedding of my brother. He and his fiancé live in Texas. Houston. My brother is very worried that I, or another member of our family will be hurt for our beliefs, but I assured him that he did not need to move the wedding. As a muslim woman, how can I best protect myself in America. Can I wear traditional clothing like I normally would, or would it be prudent o change the way I dress for the duration of my stay. My brother has said that he has had trash thrown at him, and has even had someone try run him off the road. He also has troubles with shops not serving him because of his beliefs. How should I best prepare for my journey? |
Posted: 13 Apr 2015 01:00 PM PDT So me and my brother were playing and it got weird He's 10 I'm 12 and I took his game from the xbox and we were both turned on and I said you gonna lick it and then I said suck it and then he said do I have to is that the only way I have to get it back and I said yeah then I kept saying you don't have to and then he said well there is no other way to get it back and so he did then he took my phone then I did the same thing before. Question: I'm not being mean. Right? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 12:49 PM PDT Every time I go to my cousins house (he's nine) his friends (also nine) is ALWAYS there. They are not even invited but they live next door and his family always rudely barges in or my aunt, knowing family is over, invites them in. Now, we got invited to a barbecue at my aunts house. I don't care if they come I just don't like playing with little nine year olds I don't know (with, obviously, the exception of my cousin). Am I mean for saying when I go to my cousins house I do not like playing with little kids I do not know? I am thirteen and they are nine! Thank you in advance for your help. |

Question: My mom wants to get rid of me? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 12:40 PM PDT Sometimes, she can be an ok mom. However, I'm pretty sure deep down she hates me. She always says "The worst thing that could happen is if I lost you" I always laugh because I know it's not true. Ever since I can remember she was pretty abusive to my dad, but they got help. I'm not sure if she technically 'abusive' with me. But she really hurts me. She has homeschooled me for years. Now she wants me in public school. She says she can't work with me anymore (even though my grades were perfect and I honestly don't recall being difficult) I ask her how I can be better she has no answer. So I started doing the work by myself, she still gets upset. She got me a tutor but still complains. Whenever I do something 'bad' or 'wrong' (I actually don't do anything) she goes ballistic and says I should just go to public school. She threatened to put me in a group home and she's trying to get me in a summer camp for weeks. I'm actually pretty active. And I have a lot of friends. I'm not dumb I don't think. I speak fluently 2 languages and can say basic things in 3 others.. I also am writing novels and such. I just don't understand how to make her happy anymore. I'm not 'cute' I guess. I asked her if she really does want to get rid of me, and she said "Well.. sort of" she tells me I'm an idiot and I'm stupid and don't have common sense. She starting to make me feel.. pretty depressed. Any advice would be appreciated |
Question: Somebody keeps pestering me? Knocking at my door?!? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 12:24 PM PDT Hi everyone. So, basically, I live in a flat with my brother, who is 18, I'm 15 and my mother. We live on a standard type of street, everyone gets along, no disputes etc. But, these past 3 days something strange and rather scary has been happening. A man, who I reckon is about 75-80 knocked on our door a few days ago, and I answered and I said 'Hello, are you ok?" etc. and he is staring off into the distance and just says - "Is Stan or Vanessa in?". At this point i'm like what the hell, and i tell him no, they arent and they do not live here. He said ok and went on. But, the next day he didn't appear, but yesterday I was lying on the sofa watching Tv when he knocked on the window and I shot up and crapped myself as he was standing there, just staring at me. I called my brother over who went outside and told him to piss off. I actually feel sorry for this man to be honest. What should I do? He is deluded or? |
Posted: 13 Apr 2015 12:17 PM PDT Ever since we moved to a new town my dad has not been working. My mom is the primary 'breadwinner'. The reason why my dad is not working is because at our old town, he has a small advertising company but at this new town it's hard to start over and his skills set is 'outdated'. I feel really bad for my dad he does nothing but watch tv or use the computer all day. My mom says he's looking for business ideas but I know he's not, i was home with him all day when I was sick. We are living comfortably because my mom has a very good job but it hurts me to see my dad waste his potential. He has a degree in advertising and design I think. What jobs should he get? How can i help him? |
Question: Please answer this!! My Mum is horrible to me? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 12:17 PM PDT I could really do with some help. And I feel like if I dropped off this planet no one would care. Everytime something is missing I get the blame, my brother is the one that steals things because he knows ill get the blame I can't sit and tell my mum how I feel. She would probably laugh in my face. And as for family, im disowned after I was sexually abused by my Uncle and they thought I lied. I really wanna leave this place but I cant im only 16. I feel crap all the time and I dont know what to do anymore!! I need help.. please. |
Question: Is it okay that I protect my armenian stepsister as a real sister? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 12:01 PM PDT I'm asking this because I'm hispanic and my stepsister is armenian. She has been living with me since I was a baby. We get along like real siblings. I protect her like a sibling. One time I had to beat up a boy for disrespecting her and hitting her. Posted: 13 Apr 2015 11:57 AM PDT my mother is going to jail for six months for forgery related charges. I am handling the situation fine because she will be back and her visit to jail might make her go easier on me now. Even though it is only six months, My dad asked someone that worked at the jail if it is alright if someone my age visited. They said yes and said she would appreciate a visit and it could be interesting and an "educational experience" (What does that mean? Please give your opinion on that) Should I visit her. I would like to visit her when she goes in, but I wonder if it is worth stepping inside of a jail .Then again maybe it might not be bad to go I told my best friend about it since I like to talk about things with her and she said it was kind of cool my mom is going to jail because now she will know how you feel when you get punished. I have to admit I laughed |

Question: Feeling isolated and angry, help please? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 11:24 AM PDT I am 17 and a senior in high school. I got a job last week at Jack in the Box, but I hated it, so I quit. I didn't need the job, but my girlfriend and everyone around me was pressuring me to get one. I have college-level courses, so I never have time for much other than homework, studying, and her. Now, everyone is mad at me for not doing what THEY want. I'm frustrated and feel like no one is there to support me, except for my best friend of eight years. But he lives in Texas now, while I am in Idaho. I am leaving for the military this summer, so it's not like I have no direction; I know what I want in life, and I have worked hard to get out of my family's struggles. I have supported my brother's while our dad left to Boston, and while our mom worked until 10 at night every day. I just don't see how not wanting to work at fast food makes me a failure, and it's really bothering me that everyone sees me as this horrible, lazy person, when the truth is, I have worked much harder and more diligently than any of my family has; I have awesome grades and scored in the upper 10% of the ASVAB and can choose ANY job in the military. What are your guys thoughts on this? I just need some sort of help through being isolated and alienated from the people who are supposed to support me. Thanks. |
Question: Did/do you share everything equally with you're siblings.? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 11:22 AM PDT I have only one sibling, a younger brother, we're 2 years and 2 months apart. For some reason ever since i was little, it has been a norm in my family to share almost everything equally with my little brother. When i say everything i mean almost EVERYTHING. When ever someone buys something for us and they don't buy it in different quantities specifically for each of us my brother and i have to share it equally. For example my uncle bought us a bottle of wine, my brother made sure we both used solo cups (those red disposable cups) and then he gauged it so that we both got drank equal amounts of the wine. I'm the older one so i believe i have the right to take more than him. It has gotten less worse than it use to be but it's still bad. Is this normal? do other families do this? |
Posted: 13 Apr 2015 11:21 AM PDT Hi so my sister just got back from a lot of traveling she got really mad at my other sister and started throwing things and then slammed the front door and went too work after she was gone about 5 minutes I texted her and said "you need too just take a deep breathe and calm down" she responded immediatly and said "stop." I'm almost crying right now she never talks too me like this and I want too know if she is mad at me if she is then I will need to stay clear of her for the rest of my life she is 19 and I am 12 |
Question: Why is my brother so mad at me? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 11:18 AM PDT I'm in high school, and my 12-year old brother is in 6th grade. Last night while he was sleeping, I snuck into his room and painted his toenails pink. He went ballistic this morning while we were getting ready for school after I told him I was out of nail polish remover. Why is he so mad at me? You can't see his toenails with socks on! |
Question: Is my parent harsh on me? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 11:14 AM PDT I'm 22 yo. Majored 2 fields (language and economy) at the same time because my father wants me to work in bank. Both of my degrees are creditted graduating with honor. Until recently I worked in quite named company (I resigned, tho). And then: - my father goes inconsistent with his hopes. Sometimes he wants me to be banker, then civil servant, then tells me to have my own initiative. - he has online business which I find risky. He forced me to join but I reject. He then said that I'm such a difficult person. No daughter in the world is inobbedient like me. - when I reminded him abt my degrees, he told me to 'put my certificates in trash can'. - he dislike whenever I say Im tired (I do cleaning too btw) My mom also has mood swing when it comes abt me. My younger bro (16 yo) skipped classes for a week and she didnt yell at him even once. She went to school counselor and handled things maturely. But she always gets upset at me easily to the point even outsider notices. She could get annoyed bcz of scrowl on my face. Like on day I just had interview. I didnt respond her bcz Im tired and few minutes ago we just got argument. She was annoyed and mad. In her opinion I need to display happy mood anytime anywhere. When I said Im tired and asked whether I will get yelled again, she angrily answered "your mouth.." (can you feel the tense? We dont speak in english so I dunno the equivalent). What do you think? Im so depressed and started to think that Im really worthless. |
Question: I've lived with my mom my whole life and I want to live with my dad.? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 10:57 AM PDT I'm 14 years old and have want to live with my dad. My mom & I fight a lot and she constantly makes me feel useless and unwanted. I have a depression disorder she acts like she cares around me, but her text messages say otherwise. She tells people that I'm doing it for attention and she doesn't need to do anything because "I'm choosing to be depressed so I get what I want." The first time that I tried to live with my dad I was about 8 and my mom told me that I didn't love her and that's why I wanted to live with my dad and I just want to live with my dad because he lets me do whatever I want, and I felt so bad that I told my dad I couldn't do it. People told me when I turned 13 that I could live wherever, but when I tried the court said that I couldn't choose, and they even LIED about the things that I said, and made it look like I wanted to stay with my mom. After that, my mom put me in online school "to protect me" but I hate it, it feels like I'm with her all the time. I'm at my dad's on the weekends, except for the third weekend of every month. I feel like I hardly ever see him. Recently, my mom and I got into an argument and she told me that if I want to live with my dad, I could. When I told my dad, he tried to get me to live over there, but my mom changed her mind and said that she wanted me to live with her. I don't WANT to live with her, and my dad says that if my mom isn't willing to let me go, the court won't bother with us. Is there anything I can do about it? |
Question: My husband is extremely cheap and I'm at my wit's end!!! he is horrible. what should I do? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 10:46 AM PDT My husband can buy soda until his head falls off but when I try to get him to buy orange juice he whines and complains about the price. We have a household of 5 children and he buys orange juice once every blue moon. he was telling me " I cant spend $50 a week on orange juice. I get orange juice and it's gone in two or three days" and I was like " again.. there's 5 people living in this household. 3 children at that.. they need nutrition and not soda. also you can't expect anything to last with FIVE bodies in a house". he complains about the price of fruit. the grapes at Walmart are $3 and he said that's way too much money. I said if everyone eats the grapes sparingly they should last for a couple of days. there's only two people who eat grapes anyways. there's lots of grapes that come in that bag. I like to eat granola bars for breakfast .. it's not a bad price. it's only about $2.75 and you get 6 bars in the box. he was THEN complaining about that. my husband was saying " I can't get everything. you want us to be in the poor house". he doesn't like buying milk too often because of the price. he doesn't like buying cereal, paper towels, zip lock bags, or aluminum foil. We don't even have a trash can. we just have a trash BAG that lingers on the floor. he buys about $20 worth of groceries and then gets subway for the kids to eat everyday. my sons get free lunch at the school but I think the cafeteria ladies barely put anything on their plate because they come home hungry he makes 90,000 and I only make 15,000 |

Question: My sister wants to stay with me more often. What should I do? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 10:28 AM PDT I have been living in my own apartment for over a year now and I enjoy my own space and allowing friends and others to stay over. There are some things that are more stressful but overall I couldn't be happier with my situation. However my 16 year old sister (I'm 22) enjoys spending time at my place and wants to stay more permanently. We have always been very close and are like best friends. However I enjoy my own space and it can get a bit awkward at times. |
Question: I'm moving out of my parents' house tomorrow and I'm missing my family already.? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 10:21 AM PDT I'm moving in a new city due to finding a job there. I've been wanting to move and be independent for a few years now but it only happened very recently. I realized that saying it is way easier than actually doing it, both financially and emotionally. I'm 24, a bit old to be crying like a baby but I know I will miss them too much... I lived on my own abroad while I was in college but that's completely different because I used to visit home during the holidays. Plus now I'm crying way more than when I was off to college. And I'm only gonna be 2 hours away from home whereas college was a 6 hour flight away I feel so overwhelmed right now, cause of the stress of the new job and leaving my family.. I'm seriously can't stop crying. |
Question: What is a normal height and weight for a 2 year old boy? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 10:13 AM PDT My son is 105 cms tall and weighs 23 kilos. A lot of people comment about his size and I even get questioned a lot of when his birthdate is because they don't believe me. He doesn't at all look overweight. Hes extremely active but a lot of parents don't want their children to play with my son because they say hes 'too big'. I want to cry because hes a friendly boy. im constantly hearing remarks about it. Im unsure what to do. Is he normal? |
Question: What's was your most embarrassing/funny moment?? Here are mine? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 10:06 AM PDT I'll tell you a few stories of mine.. A few months ago me and my family had dinner guests, I finished eating so me and my 6 year old brother went into the other room and sat down. I had to let one go if you know what I mean, so I did- quietly. (Let's say my name is Nikki to simplify things) My little brother goes running into the kitchen to tell everyone, I try and catch him but he is too fast and goes screaming "NIKKI FARTED! NIKKI FARTED :D!!" Not only to my family but also our friends whole family. It was sooooo embarrassing- but looking back these things become funny as heck. Hahah here's another one: When I was 9 (now 14) I could be pretty tom boy-ish, I still am in some ways, my family was at a New Years invitation thing and I was upstairs just me and one other boy, the other kids were somewhere else. I knew he liked me, I definitely didn't like him back. We were wrestling and I was sitting on him one leg on each side, I pushed him down and pinned him on the ground. Our faces were close and he said "kiss me." I got up right away and said 'eww!!' Lol! I was really freaked out and it was embarrassing so I told my mom haha. Now what are yours? :) |
Question: How to deal with my fiance "baby momma?"? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 10:04 AM PDT My fiance and I have been together for 4yrs his daughter is 5. I've been in her life since she was a baby. I've changed her diapers, helped her potty train, adc's, and so on. We've been having so much problems w her mother. Her mother believed me and my fiance got together before they broke up and she still angry about it. I will admit us getting together was very close to them breaking up, but she was moved out and their relationship over.Anyway bc she still has a lot of hate the issues keep coming. She tells the child she allowed to call me an idiot and her father a deadbeat. She cont does similar things (like her new bf called my fiance a loser in front of the child and the mother laughs). The child is becoming more disrespectful. My fiance and I do a lot for the child. She with us 3-4x a wk, on her father insurance, we pay for her school, but her mother claims we do nothing bc he doesn't currently pay child support. I feel her argument is ridiculous bc we have the child half the time plus he's not on gov assistance like the mother. And not to mention he's been compliant with the courts for child support the mother has not and is holding up the process-the reasons I have no clue why. Idk how to deal with her.I've made it clear I don't want communications w her but she constantly writes me long emails on random accounts (attempting to cause issues). I've been pregnant twice lost 1 and I feel it was caused by constant stress she caused. Idk what to do anymore, please advise. |

Question: How to stay calm around my rude cousin? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 09:43 AM PDT I'm becoming so sick and tired of her rudeness. She's sarcastic and acts all high and mighty. We (my aunt, mom, and I) know that she's about to move out soon, but soon is not soon enough. She's being more rude, insulting, and trying to start fights. She always does that when she about 'move on'. Everything she does pisses me off. How can I keep level headed when she's such a *****? |
Question: Help me to get out of this please? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 09:41 AM PDT I have bipolar disorder my sisters and my father came to my home in Raleigh NC and told me that I am moving to Arkansas where I am now. They think that anyone with a mental illness should be locked up forever. I know that it is an old way of thinking but that's what they believe. I am not exactly a small town girl and I want to move to Los Angeles but every time I try to leave my intellectually disabled son calls them and they call the police and the police pick me up and put me into the psychiatric hospital and my family always asks them to keep me longer when they discharge me but the hospital tells them they can't. This has to be a crime they can't make me stay here nobody has guardianship of me and they're not getting it either. What can I do? How do I get out of this? My family has trained my son to inform them of my every move and I have tried talking to him but it doesnt do any good he just want to stay here in AR and smoke weed with his no good associates. You're right I should talk to the police because they are wasting the tax payers money always calling 5-0 of me for no good reason also hospital bills all because I left my home I feel like a hostage or something I have a shrink and we get along well together I think he understands my situation because me sister has called him with her redicculous tirade |
Question: Other ways to tell your dad he's the best dad ever? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 09:40 AM PDT My dad's birthday is coming up, and I always make him a card. This year I want it to be different, not like what I usually write. What are some other ways to say "you're the best dad ever" or "best dad in the world" ? And what else could I say that will be really meaningful? |

Question: Should I be upset about this? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 09:34 AM PDT So, I just found out recently from my daughter that my mother was messing with someone in my family on my father's side, but she wouldn't say who. Finally figured it out and it's my cousin. I feel some kinda way, because while she and he aren't related he and I are by blood and I feel it's sick and disrespectful to both me and my father to sleep with my cousin and my father's family as well. Like how could I feel okay with calling this dude if it comes to that my cousin/stepfather, not to mention i'm older than him and even my husband is older than him by a few months. I'm just saying she's also too old for this kinda nonsense. She's 56yrs old, he's in his 20"s he only thinking about being happy of sleeping with an older woman with size hh boobs.I'm truly disgusted at them both, how can you sleep with your cousin's mother. Am I wrong for being upset or is this an okay behavior. ok first of all to all who are questioning my daughter and her minding her business. my daughter knows all of this because my mother brought her into it by telling her that she was sleeping with someone that we all knew that was related to us. my daughter who is also grown was talking to her aunt about something intimate and my mother overheard them and chimed in that that' is how he( my cousin) which is also my daughter's cousin is. I feel she needs to keep that to herself. and you know it' so easy to say they're adults so it makes it okay until it happens to you. can ya'll honestly say if your mom start dating ur brother, uncle or cousin you'd be okay with that, not bothered in the least bit because they're adults. like really analyze this relationship more, introducing them to your friends, " oh hey lisa this is my mom so n so and her bf so n so" and they're like but wait isn't he your cousin smh |
Question: My brother wants a zebra for his birthday.? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 09:29 AM PDT All we have is a pony which my dad is going to sell anyway. He's white in colour and we have lots of black paint around. Should I paint stripes on him to make him look like a zebra? My brother is going to be 16 years old, I don't think he'll notice the difference. |

Question: Does my Mother really care about me? And advice on my health? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 09:05 AM PDT When my Mum was pregnant with me in 1997, she smoked and she drank - she didn't even make an attempt to cut down, it was just at a constant pace. When I was a child, I was diagnosed with autism and epilepsy. I was prescribed with Sodium Valproate and got the negative effects such as: Weight gain, breast development, slow learner, thinking problems, memory problems, and development problems down there (which still effect me to this day). When I was 13, I attempted to kill myself due to getting expelled from school and losing all my friends because of it. I told my Mum about my attempt a couple of months after, and she didn't even care. When I was 14, my posture worsened; I was never even told to sit up straight as a kid, and all I was told was to stand up straight and nothing else. I complained of my back hurting too much. I wasn't given advice on how to keep good posture really. Last year, I went to the doctor after forcing my Mum to take me there (after many months of arguing with her to do so) and I was told I had kyphoscolios. Also, I was never taught how to bathe myself, so I just had to learn myself over the years. When I was about 8, I stopped being able to pull my foreskin back (probably since I never cleaned it). I still can't to this day properly, but it has stretched slightly enough so I can see the top of the head. I told my Mum I think I need to go to the doctor again today, before I could tell her why (phimosis) she just talked over me and said I'm fine. Since I ran out of space, I can extend here. I also used to drink some glasses of wine when I was about 7-9 years old. Also, is this her fault or am I just a narcissist and can't face these are my own problems? is all this her fault or am I a narcissist? * |
Question: What are some things I could do to spend more time with my dad? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 09:04 AM PDT My parents split up three years ago and now me and my older brothers live with my mum. We still see our dad, it's not like he ran off or anything, he still lives near by but I don't see him that much, which is probably also partly my fault as I'm either studying or out with my friends. He told me he misses me and of course I miss him too but I didn't realise how selfish I had been with my spare time. He now lives with my grandpa but I don't like going over there ever since my grandma died, I was close with her and it upsets me. So I was wondering if anybody had any (cheap) ideas on what I could do with him on Friday :) I had the idea of cycling over to his house and us going out to our local bakery, picking up some food and just hanging out. But does anybody else have some suggestions? :) thanks! |

Question: I have nothing in common with my family? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 08:54 AM PDT I'm 20 years old and have nothing in common with my family. Mom, dad, aunts uncles, cousins, no one. Sometimes I feel weird because I am so different. For example I'm in college and the first in my generation and immediate family. Most of the girls my age are either mothers or not in college. I'm in college for a degree and not working and when I explain to my dad I'm looking for a job that will benefit my degree he looks at me weird. He says any money is good money. I understand that but I tried working at McDonald's and hated it. I was sexually harassed and overworked. My little cousins curse like sailors and dress like 25. I married young but my husband really understands me and is helping me pay for school. I just don't know how to connect with them. I haven't really seen my dad in months cause I feel judged no matter what I tell him. I don't relate to my family and I don't know what to do..... |

Question: Is it ok if your loved one has to leave their parents to be with you? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 08:23 AM PDT I am in love with my 25 yr old handsome Indian boyfriend. I care for him to the core but I am not From the same culture. I am Italian and our ethnicity, culture, language etc are all different. But I am captivated by him. His family is against his marriage since they are orthodox Hindus who want him to marry someone they want through astrological calculations and arranged means. He tells me that he would want to marry me no matter what. His family will abandon him if we do it. He tells me that he has always lived by his parents wishes and have never had personal freedom to do something. I want him to be my husband but at the same time worry if it is coming at a terrible cost. I don't want him to regret me later in our lives. Is there something I can do to convince their parents |
Question: Why are my parents sooooooo furiken stupid? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 08:23 AM PDT Seriously I'm starting to have my own views on how I want to grow up and what I want to do. These bastards complain about my opinions and even hate that I'm a liberal, they're conservatives and I believe that's why I disagree with what they're saying most of the time. They always have to do things as a 'family' which I hate. If I had to take a buisness trip I wouldn't haul everyone with me.. that's just stupid. They always talk about race, I want to tell them so bad... STOP BRINGING RACE INTO EVERY ******* CONVERSATION. They always try to make decisions for me, nope, I broke that when I turned 15. I'm just abiding by their bullshit untill I goto college, Im 16 so I have barely 2 years before I depart. Hobey- ho I can't wait to go! |
Question: Its my birthday tommorow and im not feeling it? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 08:19 AM PDT I know i sound so dramatic but for starters, i have 0 freedom and i never leave the house or whatever except with my parents, no joke. I mean, yes , i like spending time with them, but they think im fine with ONLY spending time with them. My phone is taken away, and for all my sisters and brothers birthdays they got them a million things and all, and my parents are doing well financially, so i know that not the problem. Last year, for my birthday i wanted a ipod touch, and my dad got me a ipod classic mini, even though he knew thats not what i wanted. And i didnt want to be ungrateful, so i had to act like i was so happy about it and i had to spend the whole day with them yet again, and i had to pretend to be happy. This year, i asked my dad if i could pierce my ear a second hole for birthday, and after ALOT of convincing, he said yes. And he was like,"so its fine if thats all you get for your birthday?" I was too shy to say "no i want this and that", because anyways i have nothing specific in mind, but it would be nice if they got me ANYTHING. Im just annoyed and upset because they always get stuff for my siblings even when they say they dont want anything, and my siblings always went out on their birthdays. Im considering asking my dad if i can go out with my friends this weekend, but that still doesn't make me feel better, I mean, there's a big chance my parents will find a way to ruin it. I dont know i just feel so down, any advice? |
Posted: 13 Apr 2015 08:10 AM PDT My husband can buy soda until his head falls off but when I try to get him to buy orange juice he whines and complains about the price. We don't even have a trash can. we just have a trash BAG that lingers on the floor. he buys about $20 worth of groceries and then gets subway for the kids to eat everyday. my sons get free lunch at the school but I think the cafeteria ladies barely put anything on their plate because they come home starving he makes 80,000 and I make only about 15,000. so he is in charge of groceries. it's crazy because I work six days a week and he's off every weekend |

Question: Should I just forget this ever happened? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 07:12 AM PDT I was late to leave for work and I forgot to lock the bathroom door and my teenage son walked in just as I was getting out of the shower. I quickly got a robe on but not before he said "Wow mom, you really have a beautiful body". It did not embarrass him any but it sure did me. He has not said a word about this since it happened. Should I just forget about it or should I tell him that was not an appropriate comment to say about his mother? He acts like it was not a big deal. |

Question: How do I go from an old, 80s styled mum, to a more refurbished modern day house mum? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 07:03 AM PDT My name is Elizabeth, I'm a 41 year old mother of two beautiful daughters aged 10 and 13. After many years of embarrassing my children, trying to make them think I'm the bomb, I think I need some help. Now it's getting to the point where my kids think their mum is completely wack and lame and I don't want to be that. I want to be that mega hip mum who can actually get down with the kids and communicate and understand this new era of language and not just a complete airhead. I think this old 80s model needs an update. It's starting to get really quite bad to the point where my own children don't even want to be picked up by me anymore! They'd rather get the bus! It's honestly such a dag. I don't know what it is honestly. I think they're just beginning to get bored of me, and the way in which I'm talking. They always go on about how I go on too much, or how I never stop talking, or my grammar just doesn't make sense to them. I can't help it, I love to talk, I have so much to say in such little time at my age – but maybe I do need a little bit of tweaking here and there. |
