Question: Is it okay to skinny dip with my sister if we can't see anything? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 01:48 PM PDT There's a bug jacuzzi where we're staying and it feels good and free to swim without trunks and rather than to have her walk in on me in the jacuzzi naked I was wondering would it be unacceptable to go in with her. Obviously nothing sexual. It would be when it is dark and when there were bubbles so neither of us would be able to see any privates or anything. Would this be okay of both of us were comfortable with it? |

Question: Help. I can't stand my family? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 01:45 PM PDT Even though my hrother is an asshole to ke he bothers me less than everyone else. My sister said I am really into myself which blows my mind becaus ethat is a reflection on her. I am a very modest queit person. My parents wont let me have friends but I am 21 years old. The main rules in eur house are to not have friends, no fun, and no drinking. My sister tries to control my life and tells me I would suck as a teacher efen though Inwant to be one. My sister talks crap and spreads rumors about my old friend. My sister says I should bever be outgoing and happy and have friends because being interesting and social is her thing. I currently go to a fashion school but my sister says I am a brat who deserves no clohes whenever we get clothes. My me |
Question: Losing my only father figure? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 01:40 PM PDT I'm 26 and have never had a father figure. My Dad is a typical business man who shows no emotion and spends no quality time with me. My Dad has three brothers; 2 of them live nearby and are very similar to him. The other brother is different; he moved out of state to build a cabin and live in the country with his family. A few years ago I was really yearning for a father figure, and my Uncle who built the cabin wrote a book about his life. One day I read it and I came to realize that I related to him quite a bit! I emailed him after I read it, and we began emailing. He said he always had "an affinity" towards me, since I'm sorta the outcast in my family as he kinda was too. We ended up talking on the phone a bit, and he began to feel like a father figure. A few months later we had talked about visiting, so for Christmas my parents bought me a plane ticket to visit him in Virginia. However, I ended up using that ticket to visit my brother in Los Angeles instead... something I now regret That was in 2012, and we have really lost touch since. That year he came to visit his brothers, and he completely ignored me which was strange. in 2014 I sent him a sincere email apologizing for not visiting him, and he ignored it. He only texts me like twice a year for my birthday/christmas. He was the closest thing I ever had to a real dad and this hurst. What happened?? |
Question: Mother concerned over her youngest son? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 01:32 PM PDT Single mother here, and I'm nervous about my youngest. He's been away at college now about a year, and just so you know, we've always been a fit family. I run marathons, my son ran track in high school, my husband and our two older daughters also ran and still play sports. But he's been avoiding my calls, something which isn't so uncommon for a young man his age. But a family friend tipped me off to his Tumblr page that i didnt even know he has, he has all these shirtless pictures up and there's no doubt its him..I dont know what to do!!!! There's two of them here, the first from when he lived here with us and the second is posted last month...:( i feel awful showing but its so you know im not just some crazy old lady whos overbearing and too worried about my son. What's happening to him?? We've always been open with him and loving, now he won't even get back to us when we call him, and fitness is what our whole family has always prided itself on.. What should I do?? -Worried Florida Mama he ran track: http://imgur.com/kXwNVoV noww: http://imgur.com/MyYaR7Y |
Question: How should I feel about what my mom did? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 01:25 PM PDT My mom works in sales. She has been trying to get to talk to the owner of a company Mr. X for over a year. She could never get past his secretary to get an appointment to talk to him. She heard that Mr. X was going to be at a charity event. She knew the organizer of the event so she paid her to give mom an invitation to the event. However mom had a problem, she needed a male escort to go to the event that evening with her. Since she is single that was a problem for her. Mom took a bold step and asked my former husband to go with her. He told her he would be happy to help her and he went to the event with her. Mom met Mr. X and got a big order. That was great for her as these are tough economic times for all of us. I did not know about any of this until someone at the event asked my who that hot and sexy guy was with my mom at the event. I did not even know she went to the event so I called her. She told me the whole story. I don't know if I should be mad at mom for not telling me what she did or happy with her for trying not to involve my ex husband in my life. I am confused. Someone please give me some advice on how I should feel about this. THANKS |

Question: Parents: Can you share your experience on loosing a child? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 01:14 PM PDT I'm sorry, that my question may seem rude or unnecessary. I ask this because I always hear, "You don't know until you're a parent." Back in 2007, my cousin passed away, and when I saw my aunt, it tore me to see her cry. With all respect 1.) How was the first night without your precious child? 2.) What was the first feeling you felt? 3.) Are important days such as birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc hard to celebrate? 4.) What did you do with their room? did you clean it? leave it the way it was? or turn it into something else? 5.) How did you cope with your loss? Thank you all for answering this, My deepest condolences... |
Question: My parents want me to quit softball.? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 01:04 PM PDT Hello, I'm a sophomore in high school, I get good grades and I'm a good kid, I don't drink or smoke, I do everything my parents tell me accept this. I LOVE softball, honestly if it weren't for it I'd never show up to my ghetto *** school. And the girls on the team are very nice and so are the coaches, anyway my parents want me to give it up, they want me to stay home and focus on my books. Even though I'm an honors student. They get all mad when I have practice and games. I feel as if all they want me to do is stay home and be mother Theresa I can't take it anymore what should I do? |
Question: Is it possible for a guy to move out without a job? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 01:03 PM PDT Long story but my mom has been going insane yelling and constantly taking all her anger at me for no reason and I am getting tired of it. I kept talking and trying to tell her but she wont even listen. She literally went out in the street and started yelling "MY SON IS A FKIN FAILURE!!!" just because I accidently lost my retainer (dumb move but she's overreacts). I literally just want to move out and not see my mom for a good amount of time till she finally gets back to her senses and calms down. My dad tries a tiny bit but he's always at work and just watches TV at home so it barely affects him. I have no job tho but I am literally feeling like crap. What to do? Hold out? |
Posted: 20 Apr 2015 01:00 PM PDT My 16 year old son is girl crazy. All he seems to care about is girls. I took him to the mall for new clothes yesterday. As soon as he saw a group of girls walking by, he totally forgot me and the clothes and walked up to them and started flirting. When we go to church he always starts talking to a girl who sits next to him during the service, and flirts with girls after the church service. He spends all evening after school texting a million different girls and flirting with girls on facebook. All he talks about at dinner is girls and all the girls he thinks are hot. Even the wallpaper on his cell phone and computer is always a picture of a hot girl in a bikini or bra and panties that he's always staring at. He's always out with some girl on the weekend. He's been dating since he was 13 and must have had at least 25 girlfriends by now. He always dumps the previous girlfriend for some new girl he just met who he thinks is better. I recently asked him what he wants to major in when he goes to college, he just said he wants to major in girls and be an OB/GYN so he can be around cute chicks all day. Why is he like this? I don't see any other teenage boys acting like this! |
Posted: 20 Apr 2015 12:49 PM PDT Ok so I decided to get a job. I'm 15, I need money. Makes sense right? I thought delivering papers would be a good idea because it's easy and I'd do it once a week and get maybe 100$ a month. I told my mom and she said no, acted like I was a crazy person and tried to convince me no, saying it's not a good idea to and I couldn't. I told her I could, then she was being immature and kept saying I couldn't. Like wtf? So long story short I kinda agreed to not do it but she agreed to pay me 100$ a month to do jobs around the house. But now I'm kinda angry because I let her win and she's always like this, treating me like a kid and like I'm helpless. Am I being a *****? Overreacting? I'm just so ******* done with her bullshit I was really mad when i asked that question. Im not that mad. But you know how it is when parents wont let you do things.... |
Posted: 20 Apr 2015 12:43 PM PDT I just moved back in... I am expected to do daily chores and have no life expect helping around the house. I can never have a day off. she a hoarder too and very very moody and persoinality changing even. unpredictable and abusive towards me. |
Posted: 20 Apr 2015 12:39 PM PDT Her favorite son is my Dad, so I am grieving as well. However, my grandmother frightens me with her current state. My Mom tells me not to worry, but with my grandmother coming over to the house unannounced recently, my Mom s words don t seem worth listening to. She is not physically abusive, but my Grandmother was a master of hurting people emotionally or mentally; as well as being able to pin people against each other while making herself seem innocent of the situation. I don t know if she s good at that, but her ability makes me afraid of her and want to stay away from her. Can someone give good advice on how to handle this situation? |
Posted: 20 Apr 2015 12:32 PM PDT My grandma recently passed away, and my mom is the ececutor of her will. My uncle lives in my grandma's house and let me have whatever I want from the house. I took some rings I liked and a few other useless-ish things. Also a lot of pictures, meaningful stuff. I'm in my senior year and wanted to take CNA classes over the summer so I thought if i sell some of the rings it'd get me closer to the amount i need so i can take the classes. I picked out half of what i had and was planning on getting rid of them. My mom says i can get in trouble for even taking them from my grandmas house but my uncle let me have them. She says my uncle can get in trouble for just giving stuff away. She said an estate sale is supposed to happen FIRST then we can get whatever. Is that true? She thinks if my uncle gets in trouble then i can too,+ everyone he's given things too. I havn't sold them yet but I want to to get closer to how much i need for the classes. I feel okay about selling them cause it's like my grandma would be helping me pay for it. She knew i want to go to college to be a nurse and would be happy knowing I'm going to be a cna while in college. Thanks! |

Question: My parents don't get me? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 12:21 PM PDT hello, I'm a 15yearld girl who as had enough o my parents. they are African immigrants and I feel like I can't go to them for anything, because they are homophobic and very judgmental too. they always think they are right and I cant even explain myself because it makes me "bad kid". they didn't even give me "the talk" too. I asked for a job, and they said hell no but when I ask for something then im ungrateful and selfish, I cant even get my phone bill paid on time. all they care about is me getting straight As, I have 4 As and 2 B+ and its still not enough for them. I made the varsity softball team and they want me to quit and I refuse to quit, I love softball, it makes me happy, ive made good friends and its a good extra curricular activity. plus they want me to e a lawyer, I want to be an actress so bad, and I know I can do it, but all they will do is put me down. I just want to die, there is so much pressure on me to do well and it hurts me when I feel like im not good enough at all. they don't encourage me and they don't give me any form of privacy, they don't even knock when they enter my bedroom, I mean im a good girl, im still a virgin never had a boyfriend in my life, I don't smoke or drink and I read my bible and pray its not enough for them and Im sick of it what should I do??? |
Question: My husband became a stoner? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 12:21 PM PDT I'm currently a full-time student without a job. That's a long story, but my academic advisor suggested I quit my job. Money isn't a problem right now, but I feel the fact that I'm unemployed might have relevance. When I met my husband, he nibbled on a pot brownie once a week in order to "enjoy his weekends." We used to smoke hookah together, and we smoke cigarettes, but after we got married, he started smoking pot. It was just a bit at first, but then it became a weekend thing, and a nightly thing, and then an all-the-time thing. His sister just turned eighteen, moved in with us, and now they stay up till five or six in the morning getting high together. He also gets drink four or five nights a week. He goes out to bars three times a week and I haven't gone out with him to a bar in months. When I ask to go out, he says we don't have money, but he goes out all the time. The other day, he bought pot off his brother in front of his five year old nephew. I make small comments like "why do you get high all the time?" or "oh you're smoking pot at nine AM instead of pulling the weeds like you promised?" but he gets defensive. He comes home at 2 or 3 AM, sometimes drunk, then stays up in the living room and smokes pot, and about 1/4 of the time he sleeps on the couch. We've talked about that so now he sleeps in the bed, but instead of laughi ng over their daily pot stories, I get really pissed off. Im allergic to pot, so I dony get it at all. Why is he doing this? Is it bad? |
Question: Can I force my brother to go to school? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 12:20 PM PDT My mom always yells at him and everything but no matter what she does he doesn't listen & now she's tired of him and acts like she doesn't care and it bugs me because now she's not doing anything.. he's in 11th grade, low GPA, bad attendance he recently got diabetes and now he's blaming all his acts on that.. mom and dad don't do anything cause she feels bad, they took his phone at school we picked it up 2 days after got it taken away again she went & picked it up again "he needs a phone for medical issues" according to both.. I feel like they should take away everything he likes because he does so bad in school and his attitude sucks it just looks like they are just rewarding him and maybe that could be the reason why he doesn't care cause he has everything. I want to know if there is anything I can do, who to talk to cause it seems like my parents gave up already cause she's to embarrassed to go to his school because they always tell her how bad he's doing and recommend night school for him she doesn't get informed she just sits there doesn't do anything. I made him go he went for 4 days and he quit and no one said anything to me. What should I as his older sister do? |
Question: How do I become independent without a Bachelor's Degree? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 12:18 PM PDT So, I'm almost 21, and I'm taking some classes at a community college. I have a part-time job, but it's not nearly enough to support myself, so I still live with my parents. Since I live under their roof, I have to listen to them, but it's getting really annoying. They're always trying to tell me how to study, when I have my own ways. They're always ordering me how to organize, etc. I really want to move out now. It'll be at-least another three years before I have my Bachelor's Degree, and I really don't want to wait that long before I'm completely independent. Is there anything I can do right now so I can live on my own and not need my parents' support at all? I have a lot of mathematical talents, by the way. I just don't know how to make money off of them. |
Question: Is there a law protecting his family? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 12:16 PM PDT I have a 3 month old daughter & a soon to be ex husband (he just walked out on us one day) anyways I let him take her one night and he messaged me and said "you're never going to see your daughter again" so at 1 am I had to go pick her up because he's crazy lol so now I let him see her only at my house when I'm home. I'm also not allowing his family to see her (his mom tried telling him to take custody right away and I just don't trust them) is there any law protecting his family? Btw I live in Indiana |
Question: How to my my parents when I don't have a job or any money at all? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 12:14 PM PDT I'm about to turn 19 this year. My parents are to controlling even though I'm an adult. They say they need to meet someone before I spend the night at their house, won't let me watch rated R movies, says that if a guy likes me he needs to call my parents and tell them that, they track me, I have to tell them where I am going and who I'm with when everyone else my age can come and go as they please, and lots of other stuff that's to personal to share. Question: Is 21 too young to have a baby? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 12:11 PM PDT My partner and I are both twenty one. He has a great job that makes plenty of money and has saved up a lot. I am in my final year of university and then I will be in a high paying job too. I have always wanted to be a mom and I always thought I would be a young mom. My boyfriend will say he wants a baby too. I have my own nice large apartment and overall, finically we are capable of raising a child. I know I may be ''throwing'' away my twenties. But I have always been very mature and have had my partying years and I am done with that. I really want to have a child and I know I would be a great mom. Is it wrong to have a baby at twenty one? |
Question: Did my video card die? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 12:11 PM PDT So I was just playing Europa Universalis IV, not a demanding game if some of you know it. After 15min in, the screen just suddenly went like pinkish purple or something and since it didnt go away i did a force restart. And yeap, after that nothing showed up on the screen. Did so 3 times and every time there was a beep noise when i booted it. Then i took the video card out and it started up with my integrated card on them otherboard and then i thought i'd go ask about this on yahoo and yeah. Sorry for my english anyway |
Question: How to convince parents to let me see rated R movie? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 12:11 PM PDT I want to see Unfriended at the movies with my three friends this weekend and one of my friends mom. All of my friends are able to go, but I don't know how to convince my parents to let me go along. I'm almost 15 years old and very mature for my age. Question: How can I convince my baby sister to open her top??? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 12:02 PM PDT She keeps giving lame excuses like "its so cold out here" etc I'm a male....I'm 25 and she's 17 |
Question: Have any women felt threatened by their daughter? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 11:56 AM PDT Ok so I find it unusual how my mom feels threatened by me, her own daughter. I'm 22 years old btw and I live with my parents. My mom and biological dad. I like to dress in short shorts and a tank top to sleep because it's hot at night and in the morning. She tells me to quit it. I'm just thinking why?? I have a normal father daughter relationship with my dad and my mom thinks we have an incest sexual relationship. It sickens me how she would even think that because first off I'm not into men who are twice my age and I have a boyfriend. Second, I do not believe incest is right under any circumstance. I've already gotten to the point where I just want to move out but I don't have a job or anywhere to go. Is it normal she is acting like this? My mom is in her mid 40s btw and my dad has never touched me in any sexual way. |

Question: Never talk to my family once I move out? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 11:28 AM PDT I'm 20 years old. I haven't gone to collage because of my fathers gambling problem. I said OK, it's fine, I didn't study that well anyway. I started to learn how to do electrical installations, fix home appliances, basic eletronics. I planned to get a job and move out soon as possible. But I don't know if I can wait that long(who knows how long :c ). I get in fight's with my parents all the time. With my mother because she is a religious freak and I'm an atheist, with my father because he doesn't do anything, he just lies around the house all the time. I don't talk to my sister. I'm always pissed around them sometimes I just say **** you all, don't ever talk to me again. That's why I usually go pratice in the gym to relase the anger, but it always comes back when I come home and see them. |
Question: My grandmother is being taken advantage of and is in denial about it. How can we help her? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 11:14 AM PDT Let me give you a little background information about our situation. So my grandparents have taken care of my older cousin since he was 3 or 4 and they treated him like their own child! So about three years ago my older cousin got with this girl and accidentally got her pregnant. They ended up loosing that baby and she ended up pregnant about three months later and lost it also. So a few months after that she got pregnant for the third time and actually had the baby. They got married about a week before the baby was born and we were all so happy for them. We took her in and treated her like family from the moment she told us she was pregnant with the first one. We have done everything we could for them and their little family but it never seems to be enough. Recently a in the last October they moved in with my grandparents and have moved in and out while leaving the baby with my grandma. They moved back in about two weeks ago and just like every other time they moved in they were disrespectful and don't care that it isn't their house. My grandfather has had enough and actually moved out three days after they moved back in. My grandma is usually gone three days of the week.So while she was gone this past week they threw all of her food away, went through her bedroom & bathroom, and started redecorating her house! It hurts us to watch this and not say anything. She gets pissed and rants to us but won't say anything to them because they'll take the baby and leave. They can't leave because they have no place to go, no job, & when my grandfather stops paying their car bill have no car (He said he's had enough of them treating him like crap and just doing what they want). They don't take care of their child all they do is play on their Xbox and see who can take the most shots. Its getting to be a bit ridiculous. |
Question: What to do for Mothers Day? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 11:07 AM PDT This month my 17 year old sister who has autism ran away from home for two weeks- she's never respected my parents and has always been a challenge for my mom who is home while my dad is at work. My mom, who homeschools all three of us, has been really stressed out lately trying to balance all of us, (I also have a 6 year old brother, I'm 16) and have a life of her own and enjoy herself. I have about $250 right now. I honestly wish I could do something like the Extreme Home Makeover because she really deserves it and our house was built almost 50 years ago and is very old. I know I can't do that though so what are some things I can do for her? I want to get her a $100 Whole a Foods gift card because it's her favorite grocery store but anything more sentimental and more great? Any ideas are welcome, thank you! |
Question: How to convince my mom to let me get a job to buy myself an iPhone? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 11:01 AM PDT okay, i'm 14 years old and i really want an iPhone and i am old enough to get a job, but my mom won't let me. She wants me to buy my own things because she doesn't want to buy an iPhone for me but she won't let me get a job, even though i am willing to buy it myself once i get it. She keeps thinking that i'm not mature enough and i think i can trust myself for it. I want the 6 or 5s but i have to be able to pay the phone bill and that's why i want this job. I want to work this summer on Saturdays or something, in order to make money. |
Question: Do I have to tell my sons dad about doctor appointments? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 10:44 AM PDT My son's dad thinks that because he has joint legal custody I have to tell him every time our son has a doctor appointment or gets sick enough to go to the doctor. My son's dad lives 2 hours away. So I figured it wouldn't matter if he knew or not cuz he can't make the appointment anyways. But do I legally have to tell him about all doctor appointments? We live in Indiana if that helps. |

Question: Is it normal to hate someone so much you want them dead? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 09:53 AM PDT there is this tutor I worked with in college for my math class. She is about 29 and I am 23. One thing I notice My class ended but I still see her around a lot on campus and we chat a lot. I have asked questions about this situation before. I realize I have a big crush on her and think about her a lot, but I have zero chance with her because she is engaged and she is older. But despite that I have developed some kind of obsession with her. I think about her all the time and the last time we spoke I secretly switched the recorder on my phone on and recorded the entire conversation, and I listen to it over and over This girl is also rather touchy feely, always patting me on the back or shoulder or side. I wonder why. also, she was my tutor but I still see her around and we chat. She was the one that initiated the first conversation when she saw me, I never initiate conversations with anyone let alone girls I can't stand that she is with another guy, whenever I see that ring on her finger I want to grab it and smash it to a million pieces. I also like to take a piece of paper and cut it up pretending it is her fiance, I can't stand. it. I can't believe I am not with and I never will be. It makes me sick. I want to kill him. I really do. The only reason why I won't do it is because it is against the law and I will go to jail I imagine killing him by stabbing him or strangling him usually. |
Question: My mom is so annoying? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 09:53 AM PDT Edit My mom is annoying as f.u.c.k! I like to just wear a bra and panties around the house because it feels great especially when I lay down on the sofa or something, the feeling of my skin brushing against it is heavenly. I also really love my bod because I work out a shitload and play a lot of sports, plus my boobs are fairly large, so I like checking out my body in mirrors at home and seeing how amazingly hot I am. I also like dancing around in my underwear and listen to music while I clean my room, it makes it go faster. But my mom keeps yelling at me to put on a t-shirt and shorts and I hate the feeling of lounging in that. She recently bought me pajamas even though I'm 16 and tried to make me wear them but I took them off, they feel ******* awful! I'm am only child so it's not like a brother is ogling my body or something. My dad is totally fine with it. But my mom keeps saying it's not ladylike. How do I get her to f.u.c.k off and let me just wear a bra and panties? |

Question: What do I do about this situation, I'm the only one who cleans my house? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 09:32 AM PDT First of all, I do have a job, though I'm currently in college, so I do not have enough income to live on my own.. so this is not an option. I'm 19 years old, in my 2nd year of college, I live at home with my parents', I cook everyone's dinner daily, and clean the home daily while holding down a job I've had for 3 years, (gift shop retail in the local hospital). I clean my bathroom every OTHER day, (scrub toilet, shower, sink, floors, etc.) the problem is, I clean it up, SPOTLESS,DEEP cleaning, and turn around and it is disgusting again. I share a bathroom with my 15 year old sister, she is disgusting and my parent's won't do anything about it.. she leaves tampon applicators on the floor, toothpaste and spit in the sink, doesn't flush the toilets, leaves pubes in the shower from shaving, leaves her clothes in the floor, piles dishes up in her room (that I can smell from my bedroom, right beside hers).. I clean daily and this house just gets disgusting. There's no sense in having to scrub the kitchen floor EVERY DAY! No one will wipe up spills, or sweep up crumbs.. I live with disgusting pigs, I can't stop cleaning because I can't live in this filth. Does anyone have any advice? & No, my parent's aren't going to do anything about my younger sister's filth, or their own for that matter. |
Question: My adoptive family has nothing to do with me anymore...? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 09:23 AM PDT My adoptive family gave me back to my real mother in 2012, when i was 13. I am now almost 16 and only one of them still has something to do with me... and it's not even the woman who raised me for 9 years of my life. My sisters (14) and (13) years of age are still with that same family, and they have cut off communication with me. Did I do something wrong? Why have I been rejected? These questions are keeping me up at night. Can anyone give me an opinion on what I should do? Should I just move forward with my life? |
Question: Why is my mom treating me this way? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 09:10 AM PDT i woke up with a swollen top lip and i didn't go to school. My mom knew i wasn't going since 7:00 in the morning and when my sister left to work 40 min early and my mom called her and started asking her why she is going early and she hung up on her and started assuming that she was going with a guy and i told her she's not like that and she started yelling so loud at me and told me that why am i not in school and i told her i have a swollen lip and it burned and she said i use any excuse to miss class and she started yelling at me and threatened me to throw the TV remote at me and to shut up before she slaps me and i yelled at her that why is she getting her anger out on me and that why does she treat me like this and she said i'm ridiculous and that everything i say is all bullshit and she said to start walking to school or else she'll take my phone (which my sister pays) and i was just asking myself while crying in my bed that why does she treat me like this? I told her im not going just because she gets angry at my sister and she said i do what she says and i told her im not going! And now im crying in my room and she's in her room on her phone. Sorry this is long i just wanted to be better detailed for a more detailed answer to see if i did anything wrong to blow her off. |
Question: Why are people age 18-25 still treated like children? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 09:08 AM PDT For me at least, I was still treated like a kid from 18 to 22. Still now at 23 and everyone still treats me like a kid. It's annoying. For example - If someone asks me to do something or needs help with someone and i say yes, they then go and ask my parents if it okay and if my parents say no then they like oh its not ok cuz your parents said no. - If someone didnt like what I said, how I dressed, whatever, they go straight to my parents and are like "(insert here)." - If I have a conversation with someone, they go ask my parents the same conversation n be like she said this and she said that. If they dont like what I said than they go and say something else. Then I end up ASSUMING now the person thinks I lied or something when I didnt. Those are some examples but idk why we still treated like kids when we are expected to act like adults. What I dont get is, if I have a job and they dont like if i said something, how i said it, something i wore wasnt appropriate, etc, they would take it up with me n not blab to my parents. Or even call them for that matter. So idk whats so different. The same goes for college professors - they take up everything with the student and never call the parents ever. |
Question: I can't find my dad? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 09:07 AM PDT I haven't been able to locate my dad since I was 11 in my sisters graduation when he came to visit. I never saw him after he would call and say he will call back but never did. He is Haitian and I heard that they kill people in Haiti. He is rich too... Anyone know where he is? |
Question: Major Husband-Daughter Problems . Advice Appreciated!? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 08:50 AM PDT A few months ago my daughter revealed to me that her stepfather had been touching her inappropriately. According to her when he would hug her he would slip his hand under her shirt and on her breast. Allegedly one day he even put his hand under her bra. Now I believe my daughter, but at the same time I don't believe my husband is that type of man. I think I would know. We have been together for 6 years and I have never noticed any red flags. He also tells me all the time that he loves my daughter as his own and I believe him. He has even cried when talking about our family. Anyway, that day I asked my daughter how she wanted me to handle the situation and she told me she did not want to cause any problems, so to just tell him to stop hugging her. I agreed and had a talk with my husband. I explained to him that my daughter is not comfortable with affection so to please stop. He understood and apologized. Problem solved. Or so I thought. Every now and again my daughter will give me the silent treatment. When I ask her what's wrong she starts to cry and makes me feel guilty about what happened. It breaks my heart. She tells me that she doesn't want anything from him and when she moves out she won't ever talk to him again. I respect her decision even though it is not what I want. I want all of us to be a family, but my daughter is convinced that my husband is a pervert. I don't know what else to do. Help?! My husband has no idea she feels this way towards him :( I feel that I should mention my daughter is not used to any type of affection from a man. Her biological father is not in the picture and her grandfathers and her uncle are not the affectionate type. My daughter is 19. My daughter is almost 20. She's not a helpless child. If she were underage it would be a different story. Please be respectful and do not call my husband a pedophile. And I DO believe my daughter. I have told her that. I just do not believe my husband was trying to hurt her. |
Question: Is it weird to be 28 and never interested in sex? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 08:45 AM PDT i have never had sex or even a girlfriend |
Posted: 20 Apr 2015 08:45 AM PDT I felt very judged yesterday. I'm 20 and the single dad to my 5 year old daughter. Yesterday she wanted to spend the entire day outside. So we're walking side by side, people aren't taking notice. Then she wanted to hold hands, that got some looks. They looked at me, then looked her at her. Worst stares came when she would start her statement with " Daddy…" I saw people glance. So, am I paranoid or do you think they were judging? |

My mom doesn't get me AT all, I hate her she always thinks that I'm wrong and she thinks I never listened to her when she never listened to me and I always listen to her it's my sister that listens to other people besides her. Question: I have ADD and having troubles studying? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 08:21 AM PDT I am in a charter school where we only go once a week and do everything at home but the problem is that I am looking at my work but I'm not concentrated. I've tried music and it doesn't help much. My mom forces me to wake up at 6:00 and start studying until I pass out and I try. I don't go onto any social media anymore and I've been trying but the work doesn't fall into my brain and if I fail my parents will get in trouble and I might get put into foster care. Any help? Advice? |
Question: Help? What do you think? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 08:17 AM PDT My family friend lost her daughter in a car accident a couple years ago, she was my age. I'm around her everyday & we are super close & always laugh & have fun together. She's been to my homecoming & saw me win Queen, she went to my sweet 16, she always hugs me & tells me how proud she is of me, she says she loves me, we have like a special bond. But sometimes when I'm around her I feel like I'm the cause for her pain of dealing with the loss of her daughter. I feel like I shouldn't be here, I guess like her daughter is gone & here I am, her same age, alive. Why do I feel like this? How do I overcome it? |
Question: Please help! Every little bit helps!? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 08:15 AM PDT I am trying to raise $500 to enter my daughter into her first pageant. We received an invitation to the National American Miss pageant referred by a friend of hers and I was skeptic but she wanted to participate. I researched and we went and it is a good opportunity. No make-up or swimsuits! Problem is, it would cost 500. With confidence from family and friends they said we will help..so I decided to go through with it. Well no help...lol. We have raised 5$. No one is interested at this time to sponsor either. Please donate if you can!! Every little bit helps. If not any ideas on how to get sponsors. This is a first for us! http://www.gofundme.com/qrnyf4 |

Question: Is my mom being reasonable? Posted: 20 Apr 2015 08:06 AM PDT Okay recently my mother's boyfriend has gotten deported to mexico and she has so much love for him it's crazy. She said we are moving to mexico with him as soon as school ends, we currently live in the usa. But I know she's being serious about moving because she sends him money every week and sent him money to buy a house down there. My two older sisters are staying here to finish paying off our house we are currently living in and after they finish paying they're doing what ever they want with their life. She said I could stay here in the usa with my sisters for a year to start and finish my sophomore year of highschool then after I will catch a plane to go to mexico. So either way if I stay or not I will have to go to mexico after school this year or after school next year. Honestly I think she is moving too fast, how does she just expect me to cope in another country? I'm scared for all of this, I don't want to move. Is my mother being reasonable?? |
