I was willing to compromise and work things out but they just didn't want to hear any of it. We haven't spoken since then and it's been a month (we aren't really the kind of friends that talk so often in the first place though) and it is still really bothering me and I don't know how to stop thinking about them and trying to analyze everything. Don't tell me I should just try to contact them cause the last time I did they just hung up on me. It is clear that it's over, I just want to know what I can do to get over it. Every time I go to the bathroom, I have to wipe the seat because she leaves **** stains on it, and she also doesn't flush the toilet and NEVER buys her share of soap/supplies. All day, she is on the phone complaining and yelling about how she hates everyone at school because they're losers in her eyes. She is the most two faced person I have ever met, and I find her behavior insufferable. But I could tolerate all of it if she was just more willing to clean up after her nasty self. I want to scream at her for her disgusting bathroom habits but my social anxiety makes it impossible to open this (awkward) subject with her. Has anyone else been in a similar situation with a gross/unhygenic/rude roommate? How did u deal with it? |

People will just ignore me and when I say, "hello," sometimes I won't even get a response. People exchange weird looks with me and some of my friends have actually spread rumors about me. I try to be friendly to WT but she doesn't seem to like me(idk why cause I try to be nice to WT) like whenever I'm like hey whats up or something WT just seems to act like she doesn't hear me (this happens constantly like about half the time) whenever WT does reply to me WT seems to talk in a really bored tone especially compared to when she talks to everyone else & seems happy. WT & I have 3 classes together and have lots of mutual friends so we often eat lunch in the same area. WT is president of the anime club & I'm in anime club too. One time there was an announcement for anime club & WT told me that it was for people in anime club only and I told her I was in anime club & WT was like "oh" in a really disappointed tone. I sent WT a Facebook friend request last year and WT still hasn't responded to it, but recently she invited me to the anime club facebook group. sometimes I see pictures of WT on Facebook with my other friends going out & doing fun stuff I was never invited to or heard about and it really hurts & makes me cry. I've recently started to develop a dislike to WT for that.About 2 years ago I would have considered WT to be a nice person and friends. But this year, we've grown distant, and she now is close with another person. Right now, the person does not really have much to say to me, nor do I to them. We do tell each other little tidbits about the day, little funny things here and there, but that's about it. I believe we got distant over the couple times that I was about 5-10 mins. late for an appointment w/ them; they were frustrated and yelled at me. To be honest I was shocked that they would express this side/act this way to a friend. They are actually quite funny, and I really miss last year's experiences with them; However, I feel that this relationship may not be retrievable... Above all, I would like some tips about making the right friends (funny, kind, understanding, etc.) and how to keep those relationships. I try to find the ones that fit me, but those are really hard to find. I would really like some heartfelt, uplifting advice; no hurtful/meaningless comments please. |

I get chest pains and headaches from anxiety and then my stress gives me headaches too. My heart beats fast and I just can t fight back my tears no matter how hard I try. I hate confrontation though, and the knowledge that I have to have this conversation makes me feel physically ill. The muscles in my stomach and chest clench, and I have no appetite. These physical symptoms are affecting my work. Help? |

| Question: Does my friend have reason to be angry? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 02:00 PM PDT I have a group of friends...two live in one state and two in another. A friend in the other state invited me to come visit and sent a facebook invite to the other two about a party that weekend. The friend that lives near me is mad at me for not calling her and telling her that I was invited and traveling there. She said she always includes everyone (she does) and feels like we were excluding her. I told her that sometimes I just like to spend time with one friend without always hanging out in a group and that it's not personal. I guess I'm more of an introvert and don't always want to hang out with a bunch of people Plus, we do stuff together without inviting them, it's just different because the others live far away, so it's more of an ordeal to visit them. She said that I'll see both friends there, so it is a group. Although I'll see both of them, only one invited me to come visit. I don't really feel like it's my place to invite other mutual friends on her behalf, and I told her so. She doesn't agree. Advice?!?! |

Posted: 13 Apr 2015 01:54 PM PDT Apparently they're "too busy" to hang out with me, but when they do they seem to enjoy themselves. I like to show off, so whenever they come over I make a grand (don't want to brag cause someone else said that) dinner with special deserts and pastry. I'm starting to wonder do these so called friends only come over because of the food I serve them? I'd like to hear possible explanations for this scenario |

Posted: 13 Apr 2015 01:51 PM PDT I go to boarding school and me and my best friend share a dorm room, but we also share the room with another girl. Me and my best friend both disliked this other girl at the start of the term, she was really loud, annoying and quite obnoxious. But recently my best friend says she that she now likes this other girl, despite knowing we don't get along. This other girl really doesn't like me but is obsessed with my best friend. Recently she has been always trying to get my best friend on her own away from me, talk over me, infiltrate our plans and steal the alone time I have with my best friend. My best friend doesn't even seem to notice/mind what is going on. My best friend and this other girl are getting closer and closer and I feel as though I am being phased out. Suddenly I feel as though I am a constant third wheel always tagging along, what should I do about this situation?! Please help :( xxx |

I helped her through everything and people were really spoiling her till it got to the point of she did somthing wrong at school teachers would say nothing. She started turning VERY spiolt. Then one day she wrote a letter basically saying that no one likes me and she no longer does. Im wondering if she has been manipulated into doing it since she never says no to anything and is pretty weak emotionally. Also the other day i heard rumours that she was really happy she got into a really good school but then said its a shame holly (me) is going as well yet when i saw her she said she really missed me and she gave me a really big hug. pls help thanks xoxo |

So I slink back into a manhole and continue my miserable existence in the sewers. I am tired of being some freak legend, and I want to live among humans. Or alligators (I'm part alligator). But NYC doesn't seem to accept me; oh ****, I meant not NYC cause I don't live in NYC sewers. So when i went to high school i heard that it was a hard time and should not fight with people. For 3 years i had the same friends. I told them everything. Now suddenly one started to ignore me for no reason! She is telling all of my other friends rumours about me. Now a lot of them started to cut me out of their lives or be a bit meaner. | Question: Feeling really left out? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 01:37 PM PDT My best friends, 3 girls and one boy I'll call them A, E and L which are the girls and K is the boy. We're all 13 and in the same year. Basically a year ago we all became best friends though me and A were close and L and E was close. Also then K was going out with E. Now this current year E,A and L are hanging out ALOT. I live far away from where everyone meets up- L's house. Though it's manageable and I would go if they would invite me. Nearly everyday (literally) they all meet up, mostly its E and L but not A has been hanging out with them ALOT and so has K. It's all over their snapchats of them laughing and having fun. Whenever I come sometimes it's real fun but when it's just me L and E I feel like I'm making it awkward. Me and L was having a sleepover and L had the need to FaceTime E because E was 'bored'. L was deco not bored because we have plenty of things to do me and L would do things like watch movies and have foam fights at midnight and water fights at 1am lol. E had the need to invite L to a sleepover a day after and do the exact thing me and Ldid because it was obvious she was jealous. We all have fun at school but they never invite me out with them and I know it sounds selfish but the last time we all went out as a group with me was 4 months ago. Now it's just them everyday and not me. Thanks for you attention and I'm just going to admit it now- I have no other friends but this other group of girls. I don't want to hang out with them. | Question: Does it seem like my best friend wants to quit being friends? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 01:36 PM PDT I could be overreacting, but this is just how I took it. While he never stated that he didn't want to be my friend, and as a matter fact hasn't quit hanging out with me or anything, I feel as though he is ready for a new best friend. I gathered this from speaking to him about college. We both go to a college in our hometown, and we both still live in the same houses we did in highschool. He is now wanting to move into a dorm, which is fine. He only wants to move into a dorm so that he can start meeting more people and start going to frat parties and such, which is also fine. It's just I feel as though he thinks his life is boring. I think he wants more out of his life, and he is not getting that hanging out with me. If he does get a new best friend, which would probably be someone in his dorm, next semester, then I am fine with that. I mean it makes me kind of sad, but I completely understand. Maybe he doesn't realize that it will cause our inevitable drifting apart, and maybe it won't, but I think that it will. |
| Question: Why do friends leave me? Posted: 13 Apr 2015 01:36 PM PDT This keeps happening where people will be really good friends with me and then quickly drop me for no obvious reason. I don't understand. I think that I do a good job of including people in my life and giving them space. I am always considerate and am the friend who always makes a big deal out of accomplishments and special events. I also always try to stay positive. I do have a lot happening in my life, so I will sometimes confide in friends. I try not to do this too much though, and I always try to put a positive spin on it and ask them about their lives so that there is an equal amount of sharing and listening. People will just leave me though. What could I be doing? People will always say how sweet I am, but they don't really reciprocate the friendship. |
