We had no idea where it went and we looked EVERYWHERE. 2 weeks later we went to Lacey's house and she said she had just gotten a used computer from her dad. It was really suspicious because my sisters laptop was a really old MacBook Pro and so was Lacey's, but we had no solid proof and Lacey had never done anything like that before so we kind of just ignored it. A month ago my friend Katy noticed some of her things going missing. She was missing a gold cross necklace (that was specially made for her birthday) and her Lokai bracelet. One day before ballet class, Lacey walked into the dressing room wearing Katy's cross necklace not knowing Katy was in the dressing room. Katy said that she had just lost a necklace like that but Lacey just said it was a present from her mom. During dance that day (when Lacey was in the bathroom) we went through her bag and found a little pouch that not only had Katy's Lokai bracelet, but also a bunch of our other friends jewelry as well. We all ignored this too. Last night Lacey slept over and we were using my sisters new computer. Before we went to sleep I put the computer beside my bed. Later that day we noticed the computer was gone. We have looked everywhere and Lacey was the only one that could have taken it. She's always been such a fun and amazing friend that I was always able to look past her issues, but this is the last straw. |

For example, she claims to be much wealthier than she actually is, she told me her family left her sister on a plane to Miami (after mentioning this to her mother it wasn't true) and will recount stories I tell her to other people, with herself as the protagonist, many other lies too. And honestly when she tells me something, I can't trust her. She's also told people things bout me behind my back. Today she canceled plans with me and two of my other friends and while we were shopping we stumbled upon her also shopping with my other best friend whom she says **** about all the time. She is one of my best friends for other reasons though, but looking back she honestly is not the person she was when i first met her. So, do you think I should stay friends with her or not? |

I've made major iimprovements coming off my freshman year, now I'm not horrible, a semester 1 GPA of 3.3826, not great, actually not good eieither but it's ok. I tried my very best and I've achieved the honor roll Q1, and high honor roll Q2 And quarter 3 and I'm trying to go back to back to back and make up for my pathetic freshman year with a 1.9344 GPA and a summer school class, I'm very ashamed of myself and I will never forgive myself for it because that may have kicked me off the road to college. Anyways, I don't trust my chemistry teacher and neither does my friend Richard. She's very mean and I'm sick of her. One time she said we were really lazy and I got very mad and said "your calling us lazy? Your the one sitting over there playing with your computer and farting". She suprisingly didn't say anything but I'm positive she heard me. She hates it when we have fun, especially me and Richard because we refuse to give her our respect. We refuse because all she does is disrespect us, everyone else is too afraid to stand up for themselves so I guess we have to do it for them and stand up for our selves as well. It's been bothering me a lot lately, and it really got to me today. I work part-time at a hair salon, and this time of year most of our customers are girls coming in to get their hair done for prom. I seriously can't even go to work without being sad because I don't get to do that. I'm not allowed to my senior prom because the school won't let me take my boyfriend, who is only 2 years older than me (I'm 19 and he's 21). I was held back in elementery school and I have a fall birthday, so I'm already a year and a half older than everyone else at my school. What's funny is my boyfriend is actually closer to my age than a lot of guys who go to my school are. I know you're probably going to tell me to "just go with friends", but I really can't. I don't have very many girlfriends, and the few I do have all have dates and are riding in limos with big groups. All those people have dates so I couldn't just go in that group and not have a date. Maybe it's stupid, but I really do want to go to my senior prom. I've worked hard in school the last 4 years and I don't want to be left out on this memory. Shouldn't I be able to buy a nice dress and get my hair and nails done and feel pretty and take pictures just like everyone else? It's not fair. |

Then they sent me a letter about where they grew up and some of the history. They asked me to tell them about American culture and wanted to know more about me. I'm a very open person when it comes to myself, I don't really have any secrets and I want people to feel like they can tell me anything. This will be my third letter I'm sending them and I have most of what I'm going to say written out (they were pretty open with me about their life) but I don't know how personal is too personal for a third letter. This is my first time doing this, I have never had a pen pal before but I love learning about other cultures so I thought it would be fun. Are there any etiquettes? She also says you are the only one she has to whom she can talk about certain matters and she like that b/c you share the same needs and taste. So, you mention that you will go to a certain place one of the following days. She acts very thrilled and interested about coming with you. YOU DIDN'T INVITE HER. SHE ASKED TO COME. She even calls ONE DAY before the arranged date to make sure you'l take her with you! Then, When the day comes you have arranged to pick her up at a metro stop but you call her on her cellular and she picks it up, acts like she is lost and not expecting you, as if she doesn't recognize you,she tells you abruptly to call back in 10'. You do, but she doesn't pick up,the answering machine is on, u leave a message asking her to call u, she doesn't, u call again and still not picking up, switched to answering machine, 30' pass, you decide to leave, It seems she is AVOIDING you for some reason, you can't figure out why since she was so INTO it yesterday. Eventually as u r leaving she sends an SMS she doesn't even have the guts to call, and writes ''Sorry, I can't meet you today, I have to run back to the dormitory to met the plumber''. So you go alone. By this, I don't mean physically(well at times) but more along the lines of possessive and verbal. My roommates has a couple of mental disorders like depression. The partner does not let my roommate socialize with anyone but me and the other roommate (triple dorm room). The other roommate hardly if ever, sleeps in the room. The partner basically lives with us and we all share the same room, they sleep in the bed above mine. It's uncomfortable listening to them argue and well... have sex. That isn't the biggest concern for me is the fact that the partner is not only offensive (says the n-word a lot and is pretty racist), is completely rude and ignorant about my roommates mental illnesses, but also is very possessive of the roommate. The roommate is no angel either, she is just as possessive. I am gone for most of the day everyday and come back to the room around 8pm-11pm and I still witness their arguments, yelling, hitting and having sex. I only have 8 weeks left with these crazy people but it really troubles me that they are in such a relationship. I am not a confrontational person, but I am afraid I am going to go off on them even though I have been really nice to them. I am considering reporting it to the RA, still debating. What should I do? |

I'm in grade 8 at the moment and I literally only have two friends. No one else; These two friends are very different from each other, and if I'm honest, I feel as if I'm closer to one of them more than the other. The one I'm closer to, is much like me, socially anxious and very, very awkward. We've shared secrets and I feel as I can tell her almost anything, but on the other hand our friendship is very awkward and a lot of the time i feel very distant from her. Almost, uncomfortable. We have a lot in common, and she's not really the typical girl, much like me, but I can't really talk to her about make up or anything, idk its too weird. Its really strange, we talk every day, but most of the time its just nonsense and all we do is laugh together. I think shes there for me, but we're so awkward that we can't really talk about things that aren't funny. So, I'm wondering is she really my best friend? Or do you think a true best friend should be someone that you're 110% comfortable with? Nevertheless, I still had a strong friendship with the girl as well, it just wasn t as strong as the friendship with the guy. They went back to Brazil about 2 weeks ago. Before they went back I gave the guy a friendship bracelet (costs about $40) but after a while, I felt horrible for not giving the girl a gift as well. They ve invited me to come to Brazil and I ll go this summer. But, I m thinking of buying the girl a bracelet from Tiffany & CO ($200) is that too much, would that cause a misunderstanding or be interrupted as me trying to flirt with her? because I m not trying to do that. |

So here's my story: ever since I was young, I 've had two bestfriends, awesome friends but once I went to secondary we drifted. They got their circles and I didnt. I was with different people everytime. I started to miss my friends so I tried hanging with them (one became popular), nice but changed, she felt so fake. The other one was fun and her new friends were nice but weren't welcoming (didn't want me part of the group) I felt like a follower with them. I started to hang with this nice, sorta popular girls but I couldn't feel or act myself with them, they were loud, I'm quiet and so wouldn't say much afraid of not being heard (weird, i know). I don't know how to raise my voice without seeming like I'm shouting it's just the way i've always been. My personality is fun, I'm funny and jolly (well, I can be) but the loneliness has had an effect on me because I put too much pressure on trying to make new friends & act awkward. I can't stay calm unless I end up like I did with the other group, just quiet+Its only this way with girls. Soz its long. ADVICE PLZ. Im starting college and want friends. |

The contract stated that me and him can't talk anymore and we have to stay away from each other. At first I was okay with it, but he wasn't. My counselor asked me if he is in love with me and I couldn't say anything about it because it made me realize what will happen to him. What makes me upset is that he lied to the principal and told one of his friends (who is a witness) to lie to the principal as well. Before we had to sign the contract, he was a bit rude to me and I told one of his friends that he needs to calm down which he did for a month. To be honest I feel a bit sad because I still have feelings for him and I told him everything about me. What makes me a bit happy is that I do not have to deal with him at all. It sucks because I can't stop thinking about him, and the more I do I get depressed. If you're wondering me and him are freshmen at high school. |

I'm very socially akaward and I tend to try to get everyone's approval all the time, which led to my first sexual experience being a guy who thought so little of me he told me unless I wanted something sexual he didn't want to be my friend, got mad because I didn't want to lose my virginity outdoors next to a storm drain and a dirty pond, then left for the military telling me I "nailed it" for saying his behavior could change if he wanted to. Anyway I was also made fun of a lot in grade school and had a lot of rejection from people, making me very sensitive to criticisms and comments about me being different. My roommate recently was having a conversation with me...she randomly told me that when she first met me she didn't really like me. She told me how she thought I talked to much and was nosy but liked me now. I blocked out the last part though focusing instead on her not liking me and how I ignored the little signs that she didn't like me like I used to in grade school. I ended up in my room crying because I was so ignorant to a persons feelings towards me again and since then I haven't really spoken to her other than when we have a suite meeting. My very first semester in college I tried being very friendly and just starting a conversation with people, I had a couple of people talk to me, but none that turned into a friendship or anything. After my first year, I'm kind of bummed out, because I'm living in an apartment now, and well my roommate and I don't really talk, I tried talking to him, but nothing more than a short response, we are both in the same majors and hobbies.I do have a girlfriend who lives in my hometown and we skype every night, so I do talk to somebody on a daily basis Now when there are events or parties that I get invited to, I don't usually go because I don't have anyone to take or anything, some people that I used to go to high school with live here, but they don't talk to me, it makes me feel like I'm not good enough. Today I was invited over to friend's house by his parents to eat, and I went but I barely knew anyone there, my "friend" that I haven't seen in over a year ditched me and went with his other friend, and I was left at the party with a lot older people and I felt so awkward, I waited more than an hour and decided to thank the parents for the invite and left. I guess what I need is some answers or advice on what to do because I feel so left out everywhere I go, I used to be shy, and learned to talk to more people, but I'm back at being shy. And her freshman friends all just follow her and it's annoying I'm a sophomore so me and my friends if we start laughing at a side joke we made whike they're friend said something they will think that we were talking about her sometimes j feel it's because she got a solo but the thing is she isn't really that good and the freshan all follow her If she does something snd Starts crying they all stand they're and agrees with Her on everything and since this year the freshman and soohmoes have to dance together it's annoying cause all they do is talk s out their friend and ask where she is and stuff I feel it's very immature but I don't understand why they follow Her can you help me understand |

| Question: Why do people laugh at me? Do I need to change? Posted: 18 Apr 2015 02:02 PM PDT Sometimes people gossip about me, and i can hear them cracking jokes about me and the way i look. Even though i am 30, i don't understand why it still happens. What I don't understand is that I am bigger than them, and I know they would normally not try that on guys bigger than them unless they are trying to prove how tough they are, is it something they can sense about me that lets them know it's okay to target and ridicule me? if people are targeting me does that mean there is something wrong with me that needs to change? If so, what is it? |
| Question: How to get out of getting in trouble for taking a picture of someone doing fake acid? Posted: 18 Apr 2015 01:58 PM PDT okay so I'm in middle school and this girl came into my gym class and I know her. She had fake acid and me and my friend took a picture of her taking it and put it on snapchat. So someone snitched on us and we got called down to the office and they called my friend down first and she told them it was fake acid and I said the same thing. They asked me if I recorded it and I said no because technically I didn't and neither did my friend. However, they showed my friend the picture that was on my snapchat. The girl who took it ended up going home sick that day and they called her back to school after school with her mom. She didn't get in trouble she said but we know that they will ask us again on Monday when we go back to school. Help! I can't get in trouble. I'm a straight A student and I've never gotten detention or suspended. I know what I did was stupid and I learned my lesson but how do I get out of this!!? |
| Question: Do I HAVE to have friends in high school? Posted: 18 Apr 2015 01:57 PM PDT I am going into high school next year, and I was hoping to abandon friendship in general. It's not that I don't want friends, it's just that I want to be able to focus on studying and maybe a couple of after school clubs. In middle school, friends have been a distraction from my grades, and I've been getting F's because I cared about my friends more than my schoolwork. I just want to know whether or not I can get through high school without having friends. If I have no friends, then I have more time to study. What do you think of this idea? Also, the main reason I want to join after school clubs is because colleges look for it. |

I'm wondering why my best friend is mean to me... she keeps calling me names (ex: b*tch, sl*t, wh*re), keeps making me feel bad about myself (ex: says that she hates braces (i have braces), saying my hair is soooo short all the time (told her i was trying to grow it out). Every time i tell her to stop she says ''calm down!!!!'' over and over until i stop. Shes even sent my picture on chatous (a chat app) to guys and say it was her. i don't know what to do. I've been her friend since i was younger. Whenever we fight we always forgive each other but this time it's real serious. I'll call them A, B & C. Yesterday A called me and asked me to go out bc they want a serious tlk. She said it was about our friendship mostly me. Did I do something wrong? She said yes. They asked me 2 go out but I'm always lazy and never go out so they said they wanted 2 come to my street to talk. I still refuse and said to them to tlk it out on kik but they refused. So I asked a thousand thing like "is my personality not good enough for you" "is something wrong with me" "what did I do just tell me" "why can't you just accept who I am" and they just said that A overstated everything it's just a talk and they told me a lot of things I didn't believe in. Then me and C texted in kik and I said something like "error this content only speaks with real friends" she got upset and then I pointed out how I hate when they interrupt me when I talk, when A imitate my songs (I listen 2 punk rock hard rock metal etc) & when B calls me emo when I don't even look like 1. | Question: Why doesn't anyone like me? Posted: 18 Apr 2015 01:10 PM PDT Ever since middle school I've realized how lonely I actually was. Nobody wanted to be around me. I'm a very kind person but nobody really has ever really wanted me. I have maybe 1 friend, or 'had' because they all just leave me when they find a better opportunity. I'm still in school and at lunch I never like sitting alone so I sat with people who were good aquaintances. When the other 2 people who always sit with us left, I was left with someone who wasn't really my friend. Before the 2 girls left the person who I didn't know well turned to them and said "I'll get you back for this." It just hit me and I was just really disappointed. I'm also never asked to hang out with anyone and when i go ask people to hang out they always say that they are busy and that they have so much work to do but then I hear that they went out that night. I just feel so unimportant, like it wouldn't matter if I was here or not because nobody would truly care. They say they care but they really don't. I've lost all of my friends or aquaintances, nobody values me or thinks of me as a human being because they treat me horribly. I'm just so tired of this back and forth. I just wonder why nobody likes me. Is it how I look is it my personality? I don't know. |

| Question: How am I supposed to react to this person? Posted: 18 Apr 2015 12:49 PM PDT I had this problem with a roommate a few months back. I was very kind, considerate and went way out of my way to help this person while all I received in return was selfish and rude behavior. She would mess up the kitchen and bathroom (which I had to clean up all the time), and was rude to me and my friends on more than one occasion. I ignored all of this, kept my mouth shut and just went on with my work to maintain peace in the house. I very rarely used the kitchen as I used to eat out but since I liked living in a clean space I would clean up her mess in the kitchen(she cooked everyday) all the time. She helped clean the house just Once during winter holidays. When it was time to move out, I cleaned the bathroom, vacuumed the living room and cleared the patio. She asked me to clean two of the stoves in the kitchen that were very dirty thanks to her cooking. I did that and left. Next day, I realized that she was mad with me as she expected me to help her clean the kitchen fully. She went on and on about how bathroom, living room etc are easy to clean but kitchen is hard. How am I even supposed to react? |

Posted: 18 Apr 2015 12:37 PM PDT So I recently started hanging out with these two girls I ve become great friends with, but for some reason the rest of their 5-8 or so friends dislike me immensely. Whenever I m around them I try to be as nice and outgoing as I can and really friendly (I have social anxiety so I really struggle doing this even though I m trying my best) but they just give me cold stares and short answers and I just get the feeling they don t like me at all. This makes me really upset because my 2 friends think that I don t like them when I don t want to hang out with all of them. What should I do? I feel really bad and want to hang out with these other girls, but I feel like most of them feel like I m intruding in their friend group. (btw I m a freshman in high school and I know it s characteristic of high school girls to act this way, but I m just wondering if anyone has any good ideas for me to get along with all of the girls) |

I I have a son who is 17 months old. I found out i was pregnant when I was 24 weeks. I came from a very abusive household. And I was couch hopping. I went to stay with a man name Christopher. I was still in high school when we were fooling around. We did not end well. And I left him when I was about 3 months. I was in a really emotional place. And being pregnant made me extra crazy. We did not end well. Since I had been going through so much in new Orleans. I.decided to move to Texas. It was really hard being without the help of family and being a single mom. I was able to do it for a few months until I lost my job. My grandmother invited my son and I to stay with her. I was in best buy with my best friend when she was supposed to watch him while I got my laptop fixed. She turned around for a few seconds and he wandered off. He walked to the video games watching people play them. I found him and was crying calling his name. I named him after his father. Now I had heard Chris moved to baton rouge which is and hour and a half away from.new Orleans. Not knowing what to do i ran off. But not before my friend said o my God Julie! And his roommate was there. Honestly what is he thinking guys? Does he have any legal ground? He is not a bad man. But I do not want him in my life. | Question: How am I supposed to meet new people? Posted: 18 Apr 2015 12:17 PM PDT I am in a bit of a... situation. I'm a 19 year old guy who would have been a sophomore in college. My freshman year I went to a community college near Purdue University, but then at the end of the year I dropped out to start a company with my roommate. My roommate and I are in the same situation; we don't have any friends here, because we don't go to Purdue. We can't join clubs, intramural sports, or even meet people through class. I have never been more lonely in my life. If any of this helps, here's a bit about me. I'm athletic, so I love playing pretty much every sport, although soccer and football were really my thing because of my height (I'm 5'5"). I love video games and programming, hence why the company my roommate and I started is a company that makes apps. I feel like I'm missing out on an incredibly important part of my life. I live with my high school girlfriend, who is one of the only reasons I'm still sane. Even so, only hanging out with 2 people for years straight can get lonely. So does anyone have any recommendations? I honestly have no idea how to approach anyone without it being awkward or creepy. I'm a relatively outgoing guy (one of the reasons this is so hard for me), so once I'm in a social situation, I should be okay. Thanks everyone. |
