Question: When did popularity switch from yellow gold to white gold? Posted: 09 Apr 2015 11:25 PM PDT Most married women I know in their 40s and older have yellow gold wedding rings. However, most younger women have white gold wedding rings. Even a simple online search of engagement rings produces results of almost all white gold. Does anyone know exactly when or why the trend switched from yellow gold to white gold? Just curious. |

Question: I'm getting married in two weeks and having an issue with my mother.? Posted: 09 Apr 2015 08:45 PM PDT My wedding day is set for two more weeks and I am very excited! My mother Todd me she would help make my bouquets bouuinerres and a few other things but a few days ago, I found it that she hasn't started any of it! Even when she had like 3 months to get it done. Just last night I got a text from her saying that she can't help new out now and she also pulled my two little sisters from being in the wedding. I forgot to mention that she also has the things for the wedding like fleet basket, flower girl dress, ring pillow etc... I've been trying to message get and call get all day but I haven't heard anything back. My mother is avery stubborn person. How can I ask her if I can ask use the things she bought for my wedding? I have nothing else to do I don't have the money to get everything, not to mention not enough time. |

Question: I just found out im pregnant...at the wrong time..please read!? Posted: 09 Apr 2015 08:15 PM PDT I am getting married in exactly 2 months from now and I just found out I am pregnant,,,everything is already set to go with the wedding...I know this is silly, but will I still fit in my dress? Should I get a new dress or different alterations...my mother got me this dress and she would be devastated if she didn't see me in it...I don't want to disappoint her. Its a tighter fit at the top. Im just worried It wont fit, will I be about the same size two months from now?? im very petite, 100 lbs about 5'7 I wear like size 1 and small shirts.... if any of that helps.... and yes im ready for a baby, my first...I am 26 with a career and I am very excited but also very thrilled about my wedding. Yes I Do already have the dress... can they alter a dress to be bigger? |
Question: Who usually asks to dance, the father or the daughter? Posted: 09 Apr 2015 06:24 PM PDT My family and I are going to a wedding next week and the reception will have dancing. Does the father or the daughter usually ask to dance? I want to know because I want to dance with my father if there's a father/daughter dance but I'd be scared to ask him! What if he says no? Of course, he wouldn't say no to hurt my feelings but if he doesn't want to dance and he says no my feelings will still get hurt... but I don't want to wait for him to ask because he might not ask and then I'll probably regret not asking HIM... so what would be the best thing to do? |
Question: What are some fun locations and ideas for a vow renewal? Posted: 09 Apr 2015 05:39 PM PDT My husband and I want to renew our vows but we want to do something fun. I've been looking online and mostly see beach renewals which is nice and romantic but we want something different something fun. No one's invited so it doesn't have to accommodate guest. Any ideas? We are willing to travel. Preferably in the US. |
Question: Can you get married in the atrium of St. John's inn in plymouth? Posted: 09 Apr 2015 03:45 PM PDT I want to have my wedding ceremony inside the atrium of St. John's, not in the church; has anyone done this or been to a wedding in the atrium? |
Question: Should i tell my girlfriend about my proposal plans? Posted: 09 Apr 2015 01:18 PM PDT we've been together for 12 years. recently i asked her if i was ever to propsed where would you like me to do it at. what did you think of kennith's proposal when he did it in front of her family after of only 3 months. now shes been posting some pictures on my facebook of men getting on one knee in the forest or on a beautiful mountain after a hike. i would like to propose but as of right now we live with my sister after moving from AZ. i would like to propose after we get settled into our own home. this may not happen for some months and i see myself proposing near winter or next summer. HOW and WHEN do i go about getting her input on what she would like such as ring and diamond style, type of wedding, and much more? do i gather this info early or is it best to get all her input near the proposal date? |

Question: How can I convince my Fiance to take pictures with me before the ceremony? Posted: 09 Apr 2015 09:58 AM PDT At first my fiance didn't care about any wedding planning (he told me that I could do whatever I wanted since it was my special day!), but now all of a sudden he doesn't like some of the things I have planned. One thing I've done is change my wedding colors several times to make him happy. I WANT him to be happy, but I'm wondering how we can both be happy in this next situation... He is afraid that if he sees me before the ceremony that it won't be special in his head to see me walk down the isle since he has already seen me. I want to take pictures beforehand for a couple of reasons... I have dreamed of having that 'first look' photo for a few years and I really want to have that moment with him. Another reason is that it will save a ton of time after the ceremony. I don't want to keep my guests waiting for two hours before the reception and also, my photographer is only with us for a certain amount of hours and I want to get my money's worth! How can I convince my fiance to take pictures before the ceremony? Is no one paying attention to the fact that I said I have been giving him everything he wants and this is the only thing I have deeply requested. No one except Firefly even came close to giving me an answer to my question.. instead everyone told me to 'give him what he wants'. I give my fiance everything he wants. Everything. So please don't take me as some selfish girl who just wants to get her way. I have an extremely gifted photographer. So that's not what this is about either. |
Question: Do i apologize for late thank you cards? Posted: 09 Apr 2015 08:14 AM PDT i was married 7 months ago. my in-laws took care of our presents and cards along with the list of who got us what. well we misplaced it and still haven't sent thank yous. do i say that we lost the list, apologize, etc? I figured I would make them more personal, that way at least people were getting a genuine thank you. And we found the list, so we are able to thank for specific gifts. The little note about being caught up in marriage bliss is a cute idea. Thanks guys! They are getting done this weekend!!!! |

Question: Having sex or remaining abstinent with fiancée? Posted: 08 Apr 2015 05:47 PM PDT My fiancée and I agreed to be abstinent for personal reasons until our wedding, which is not for another year and a half. We're waiting until after she finishes grad school. My fiancée is going through a lot. She works full time and goes to school part time. Plus, her parents have a really bad relationship in which one of them recently attempted suicide and the other was insensitive about it. Now my fiancée tries to mediate between them as professional counseling hasn't helped. I've told her I'm here for whatever she needs or wants from me. A few days ago my fiancée came over my apt. and she started making out with me on the bed. She started unbuttoning her clothes and when I asked her to stop, she reminded me how I said I'd do anything for her and said "I really want you." She has seemed so sad about everything going on the past few weeks, I wanted to stop her from doing something she'd regret. I told her I love her and am unbelievably attracted to her, but I was trying to keep us accountable to the promise we made. It has been a few days and she has barely told me what's been going on in her life. She is usually so rational and kind despite her troubling family life. I'm not sure how to help her or what such an immense level of stress means for the future of our relationship. |
