How do I stop them both from screaming and crying? I got this belt here and I am running out of patience. |
Question: Do you think I was too mean to my sister? Posted: 03 Sep 2017 12:12 PM PDT I have a younger sister who is 14 and she's so annoying. Like I just want to be alone when I come home but she never leaves me alone and constantly needs to tell me about things which are not interesting to me at all. Today she did the same and I just wanted to say something to get rid of her for a while. Yeah my joke was kinda weird but well... I know she cares a lot about our family, especially our parents. So I said to her that I heard how our parents were talking about her and I claimed they said they never loved her and she was a mistake. After that she started crying and ran into her room. That happened a few hours ago and she didn't leave her room since then. Do you think it was too mean and when I should I tell her I was joking? and another question: what can I do so she will stop annoying me constantly? |
Posted: 03 Sep 2017 12:00 PM PDT I am going to have my maternal grandfather and his wife over. I don't get to see them that often as my Mom holds grudges against him from her childhood. So I will have them over and PARTY TIME. They will bring my step-grandmother's daughter who lives with them and is very nice. Then tomorrow after I clean up from the WILD alcohol free party with grandparents I will call my aunt (My Dad's sister) who asked me to come by and go by. Monday night Mom, Step-Dad, and my half-siblings will be back. Does that sound like the most awesome teen mega party in history or is it lame? It will be alcohol free as my step-grandmother doesn't like alcohol around since she is a recovered alcoholic. But it will still be a party like 1999 !1 |
Posted: 03 Sep 2017 11:53 AM PDT I am fascinated to be entitled with such a secret. Her mother, the ex-wife of my uncle, knows and no one else. Even my uncle and his wife (cousin's step-mother) don't know. My Mom doesn't, my Dad doesn't. my siblings and my cousins' siblings don't. I am entrusted for the secret. The baby was adopted by a family member on the cousin's mother's side. The father is not the best at keeping in touch so I guess she was able to hide it from him. He sees me through family events more then his own 3 children. So should I dig for more details or just not bring it up? I am curious like when the baby was born, which relative adopted the baby (her mother has a big family), if she sees the baby regularly, etc.... |
Question: Can kids out grow autism? Posted: 03 Sep 2017 11:46 AM PDT I don't mean to offend anyone I just need some output. So my little sister is going to be a freshman this year. When my sister was little she was diagnosed with autism. She never talked to anyone or wanted to be with anyone most of the time. She had a little trouble in the early years with school because, she wouldn't pay attention and would get behind. But now she's out grown and progressed significantly. She has plenty of friends and has communication skills better than mine. The problem is because she was diagnosed with autism at a young age my mother won't allow her do certain things. Things like go to the mall with friends or take a walk by herself for a block. When I tell my mom to give her some slack she say "no your sister has autism she doesn't know who to and who to not trust. Her brains not like normal everyone elses..bla bla bla." It bunch of bull to me she's just as capable as any other kid her age. She had her troubles when she was little but, she doesn't have problems now. Can a child out grow autism? Thought? |
Posted: 03 Sep 2017 11:42 AM PDT I'm 21 I've had and exceptionally hard life. I never really had a childhood, I was forced to grow up! All I did was take care of babies when I was young. I am the oldest. I've been on my own since I was 17 years old. And I've been doing great alone. I have my own car house and job and I'm in school. My mom recently became homeless and my grandma called me abruptly asking if I can bring my mother and my brother to her. I told her I would. As I'm on my way to her she changes her number. Tells me she can't handle my mom which is her daughter and that she's sick" so I'm left with no options but to take them in. My mom has really bad habits of smoking and her cleanliness barely exist. I'm sooo stressed I can't sleep because all my brother does is run around and be loud. I'm just annoyed I feel like my grandma could have handled this situation better. My mom is pregnant btw. The baby is due ANYDAY! I just need some advice to deal with this situation. |
Posted: 03 Sep 2017 11:32 AM PDT So I m currently living with my biological mother and step father. The household is abusive, and there hasn t been a hint of familial compassion between me and my parents in over a year. I am eighteen now, currently attending college and working part time. I have an offer from a friend to move south of where I am currently living in several months where we will split rent three ways that I plan on taking. This will place me well out of commuting range of my current job and college, but it is essential that I leave this household for my mental and physical well being. What I want to know is should I drop my classes and begin working full time to create a savings pool for when I leave? My immediate worry is that this will cause a surge of tension between myself and my parents, and I don t want to get kicked out on my own on the wrong foot. Any wisdom available would be awesomely appreciated! |
Question: Do I take my top off for a bra fitting? Posted: 03 Sep 2017 11:31 AM PDT I'm going for my first ever professional bra fitting tomorrow (my bras never fit right) and I don't know the protocol. I'm not overly modest (around other women) so I don't mind getting topless if I'm supposed to, but I don't know if I'm supposed to. It makes sense that it'd be more accurate if you were topless.... But I don't want to commit a big faux pas either. The store advertises "free, professional bra fittings" on a sign but there aren't any more details. I assume they take you to a fitting room for privacy. How much do I strip down? Will they tell me when? Sorry, just young and new to all this lol If I do have to get topless, I'm more or less comfortable, I just wanted to make sure I wasnt wrong. Will they tell me when to take my top and bra off or do I just strip down right away? Will it just be one girl doing the fitting I assume? |
Question: Good stakes for a family bet? Posted: 03 Sep 2017 11:29 AM PDT My family made a bet to see who can lose the most weight in a week (we all gained a bit over time) and I am looking for good stakes for what the winner gets and what the loser loses. I want them to be decently-high-stakes, but still ok for a family. I'm 16, my sister is 17, and my mom is 49. What stakes should we have? |
Question: Why is my step brother so gross ? Posted: 03 Sep 2017 11:20 AM PDT He's 13(almost 14). I've caught him smelling my dirty underwear, inspecting my bras. When I caught him, he pretended like it was nothing. Should I tell my parents ? I'm 15. |

Posted: 03 Sep 2017 10:34 AM PDT A few months back, I went round my sister's place for her birthday. One of her friends- (who, for the record, I used to hate with a burning passion), was there that night, and even though I admit that initially, I thought: "Oh, bloody hell! Here we go again!"- (as anyone probably would in my position), me and this girl both acted like adults, we were civil to each other, one thing led to another and we got talking. We buried the hatchet, we decided to let by-gones be by-gones, we made up and we became friends. All's well that ends well- (or so I thought!) As the night wore on, me and this girl got closer and closer to each other and more and more flirty, and eventually, we kissed. No sex or nothing like that, but boy, did we make out, and I mean intensely so, and I've gotta say, it felt divine. Anyway, I ain't been able to get that night or me sister's mate out of my head ever since. I feel absolutely lost without her, and to be honest, I think I've fallen in love with her. and I don't know what the bloody hell to do, because I've talked this over with me sister, and although her mate's single right now, me sister's told me that under no circumstances whatsoever would she ever be okay with me and her friend dating, because it'd just be too bloody weird and awkward, and unfortunately for me, I've gotta be respecting that, 'cos no matter what, me family comes before my love-life. That doesn't stop my feelings for her friend though. Where should I go from here? Please help me. |
Question: What is the best way to handle concern for your parents? Posted: 03 Sep 2017 10:24 AM PDT I'm a good person and I care about my mom and dad. I'm concerned about their perception of reality. I went thru a lot of medical stuff with them and feel it was unneccessary stuff, but that's how the times are. I felt like they didn't really care about me, they just wanted me to go thru as much as I could handle. I'm concerned about how they are going to get medicare. No, it's not funny. They act cocky and think they are doing really well. They bought my cousin a $900 Vitamix blender and they laugh at me for working 2 jobs because they think a higher salary is out there. They don't seem to know how tough times are for people and how well I am doing. |
Question: How to convince my mom to give me a house key? Posted: 03 Sep 2017 09:55 AM PDT Hi, I'm turning 14 soon (Im a girl) I live with my mom and my 18 year old brother. Im starting school in 2 days and i've asked my mom can i have house key for when i come home after school. My mom lets me stay home alone all the time when my brother isn't home (Because due to legal reasons i can't be left alone with him) But im only asking for the house key during school hours until i get home because sometimes my mom'll be sleeping and won't hear me knocking on the front door, so if i have a key i can get in the house without disturbing her (I figure that once im home from school i can give her the key and she'll give it back before i leave for school the next, so i won't lose it or my brother takes it. Sometimes she'll be running errands and not be home when i get there so i have to sit on the porch and wait for her, if i had a key i could go in the house. (One reason my mom might not want me to have a key is because my brother might steal it.) But im extremely mature for my age and her trusting me isn't a problem. Also i know it is her house and if she doesn't want to give me a key to HER house then i totally understand. Please Help though, Thx I"M REWARDING BEST ANSWER TO WHOEVER HELPS!!!!!!! Please don't doubt me when i say im extremely mature, You wouldn't really understand that unless you know me personally. |
Question: Should I be mad at someone about this? Posted: 03 Sep 2017 09:49 AM PDT My sister is staying with us for a week while her condo is being remodeled. My husband came home one day and said he had a long drive on the freeway home because a car wreck really slowed him down. He said he was sore from setting in this car for so long. My sister who is licensed in our state to give massages ask him if he wanted a whole body massage. He immediately said yes. She gave him a massage and he said it had a happy ending whatever that means. He said he felt great after the massage. I am not sure how I feel about this. Should I be mad at my sister for doing that or mad at my husband for letting it happen or mad at nobody because my husband said the massage made him feel great? |

Question: Why is my sister always trying to hang out with me? Does she not have a life? Posted: 03 Sep 2017 08:09 AM PDT I'm 18 & she's 16 & she always wants to do gay stuff with me. Like at night, she asks me if I want to go walking with her by the river just me & her. I'm like WTF? WHY? That's just weird & awkward. What are we even supposed to talk about about? She always kind of creeped me out my whole life since she's so quiet. She so shy & too nice like she needs to grow some balls(not literally). She has no friends & never had a boyfriend never gets out the house. I'd help her get friends so she's leave me alone but that'd mean I actually have to spend time with her & talk to her & ugh! it's just awkward. I also have a girlfriend so I have better things to do. She never leaves me alone!, its fkin annoying!!! Why couldn't I have a normal sister or just be an only child? |
Question: I want to run away but I've got nowhere to run? Posted: 03 Sep 2017 07:28 AM PDT I have only 100$ and no family to run to or friends that'll take me in until i can support myself. I have emotionally and physically abusive parents, and verbally abusive and toxic family. I can't be in this house anymore. My siblings are disrespectful with no regards for anyone but themselves. My other family members i have in another borough can't help and will only lead my family to me if i move out there. I called the police many times and have been threatened by my grandmother not to call them again because they'll take my siblings away if they find out the home is not safe for them. Also everyone will hate me if my siblings are taken away and no one will side with me in a courtroom. It's me against everyone basically.. I'm not the legal age to move out on my own but i can move out with parental consent. But dont want them to sign anything for me because they'll follow there. All i have left is to run away for 2 years somewhere until I'm able to live on my own legally. But where can I run when I have nowhere to go and barely any money? I cant be in this home anymore. I might either die at my own hands or someone elses if I stay here.. Most likely my own because it's hell on earth here and i just cant take it anymore |

Question: How can I stop my parents from making fools of themselves trying to be 'preppy'? Posted: 03 Sep 2017 06:45 AM PDT Long story short, my family came into some money this summer (my grandparents died and left money for college, law school, or med school) and decided to enact their dreams of being 'preps'-by this, I mean country-clubbing, polo-wearing, yachting, old-money preps. Clearly, my parents aren't any of these, but for whatever reason, they still wanted to play at it. I have nothing against preps, but I simply don't see the point of pretending to be something they're not. If it was my choice, I would put the money in the bank and save it for college as it was intended (I want to go to Stanford and have the stats/ECs for it). Hell, if they needed to spend their money, they should have put it in a hedge fund. Anyhow, I'm getting off topic. They've already spent a lot of their money to 'fit in', and if they keep going, they'll both bankrupt and humiliate me. How do I stop them? |

Question: Should I stay or go? Confused at this point.? Posted: 03 Sep 2017 05:28 AM PDT To make a long story short, my child's father is a mess. He's a stay at home dad and we are struggling! I'm tired of paying for everything giving people money. I try to help when I can but no one is really helping me ! I work 40 plus hours of week and comes home sometimes clean cook and take care of the baby while he on his *** all damn day! He drives my car spends my money and make constantly bad decisions and pay the price. Literally going crazy at point! I don't even think I love him anymore. Love is gone. We don't kiss or hug anymore. We most definitely don't say i love you. Truthfully, all he his a babysitter while work. Because I can't afford child care. What am I doing?? He used to be great guy to me. He used to work but now we have a child he doesn't want to work or nothing. Now he doesn't like to be around me anymore. He always gone. Stay out all night and talks to me like trash. I'm just tired.. |

Question: Daughter Wants To Go to Hick College? Posted: 03 Sep 2017 12:03 AM PDT We live in Los Angeles. My daughter is interested in applying to state universities only in the South or Midwest. She has always gotten straight A's, on the varsity tennis team, is on the honor role, involved in academic clubs, and takes AP classes. I don't want her throwing that all away to go to some hick school in Alabama! I want her to go to UCLA like I did, Yale, Harvard, UC Davis...somewhere like that. She has zero interest in staying in California and refuses to even consider the possibility. I did not raise my daughter to aspire to go to state university in Alabama or Kansas! How can I get her to apply to good schools? |

Question: I'm extremely depressed and my family doesn't take it seriously? Posted: 02 Sep 2017 11:21 PM PDT My first memories are of my parents screaming, throwing ****, and hitting each other. And it's not just a little smack, no, it's full on choking each other; at one point, my mom passed out. They didn't even have the decency to talk in a closed room. They did it right in front of a 5 and an 8 year old like the animals they are. Right after my mom would have a mental breakdown that would scare me so bad my heart would feel like it was going to pound out of my chest, they would go back to their usual routine. No apologies to either my brother and I. This still continues to this day and the police have been called over numerous times. Over noise complaints, and even my mom calling because he had slapped her. He even had the audacity to call us after he got bailed out of jail crying saying how terrible person my mom is. Bastard. He doesn't just abuse her, but also his children. He has no connection with us and I only exchange 2 or 3 words in an average day with him. He beats me up to the point I can't see straight, and my mom watches just like she watches when my brother bullies me right in front of her. I recently cut myself and they still don't take me seriously. In fact, my brother made fun of it while my mom laughed and also called me crazy although she had also done it before. Me being the person who helped her to stop bleed. At the age of 9, by the way. I'm so ******* sick of everyone and everything. There's nothing for me here but I have dreams so I do want help. |
Posted: 02 Sep 2017 11:04 PM PDT My moms 2nd cousin is having a cookout tomorrow and invited my parents, my husband, our 1 yr old,and me. Other people from the family will be there as well. I was supposed to my new job as a teacher assistant in the headstart pre k program on aug 14 but at the last min i was told our start date had been pushed back to sept 11 and now its been pushed back to sept 18th but they arent sure if they're gonnna continue the teacher assistant positions. So im basically out of work. My husband and i are first time homeowners but our marriage is on the rocks, everyone in my fam and his siblings dont care for him because hes abusive as hell to me. He won't be coming with me anyway because he works the overnight shift at wrk. His sister thinks he has beginning stages of bipolar schizo. Im 31 and my 3 younger cousins are all succeeding well in life my 27 yr old cousin is in law school, her 23 yr old sister, is a fasion designer, and the youngest is in her senior yr of college at UNC to become a physical trainer or something in that field. They use to look up to me but now they probably think Im not about ****. My other 2cousins will be there, one is 3yrs older and has his degree and his sis is 8yrs older and has her degree and they all do well, its embarrassing. The 3 sis's mom knows my situation bout my job and probably laughs about it compared to her girls who are all younger than me and doing better. I didnt finish my degree in 08 like i was supposed to b/c i had a mental brkdown. |

Posted: 02 Sep 2017 10:16 PM PDT I was molested as a little child by my half brother on my dad side and when it happened I will tell my dad all he did was yell at my brother that was it. I wasn't the only female in the family he molested every time it was reported to my dad all he did was yell and told him not to do it again. My family is the type to sweep stuff under the rug people in the family think my brother is kind of off but that still is no excuse. Ive always wanted to ask my dad why didnt he protect me (did he think I was lying or something) I just dont understand. I do remember and incident when my brother took my dads bike without his permission and my dad beat the **** out of him but when I told my dad he touched me he didnt do anything. People in my family know how my brother is hes done it to other people kids in the family and he also got kicked out of school for touching people at school but people still talk to him (smoke, drink, and hang with him) smh. Then he had the nerve to add me on Facebook I blocked his *** he never said sorry or anything. I believe he got his karma though he's now HIV and is currently in jail. But at family functions back then I would just stay away from him. This happened years ago but I'm still upset should I tell my dad how I feel or just leave it alone and never visit the family again |
Question: Why won't my daddy come visit me? Posted: 02 Sep 2017 10:08 PM PDT I am originally from Wisconsin and now live in Minnesota (five hour drive) all.of my family lives in Wisconsin my mom passed away in 2010. The eight years I been in Minnesota my dad has only visited about three times. Every time I go to Wisconsin I always ask my daddy to come back with me he has a million excuses. First he told me he has to get his car fixed I told him he can catch the bus and I'll pay for his ticket he responded and said he doesnt want to catch the bus. Then another excuse he said he was broke (which I understand) but I told him I said "I got you" he said we'll see but he never came. None of my family visits me would I be wrong if I just stop visiting Wisconsin. |

Posted: 02 Sep 2017 09:16 PM PDT Meaning that when their parents die, they went with a sibling, then when the sibling and spouse of sibling died, they went with their adult niece or nephew. I think this is very nice and admirable that they're willing take on responsibility but this would most likely dampen the life of the adult niece of nephew as the mentally retarded adult would also be old and require alot of care which could keep the niece or nephew from going out with friends and stuff like that. Your thoughts please. Assuming by choice it is in the end the adult niece or nephews decision. |
Question: My parents found out I'm a stripper? Posted: 02 Sep 2017 09:15 PM PDT Long story short: I worked as a stripper for a little while then had to stop because I was still living with my parents and they ended up finding out. So a few weeks later I ended up moving out and started dancing again and my mom ended up finding out again. And is telling me I should seek medical health. Is that right of her to do?? I'm an adult! And I'm only doing this because money is tight. I don't even live with her anymore .. |
Question: Shold I name my babe "Barry". after Barry froam "Storage Wars?.? Posted: 02 Sep 2017 08:40 PM PDT He has nice boan stucure. |
Question: How can I get my brother to stop walking around naked? Posted: 02 Sep 2017 08:04 PM PDT So I'm a 16 year old boy and my brother is 13. We usually get along pretty well, but my only problem is that, whenever my parents aren't home, he walks around 4SS naked and always sleeps 4SS naked, which is just as bad because we share a bedroom and I have to wake him up and start my day by seeing his c0ck every day. I wouldn't care if it was just when he was changing or if he was swimming, in fact I'd even be ok with him sleeping naked, but it's constantly. My parents are out of the house for work 5 AM-6PM Mon-Sat and 7AM-4PM Sundays (they own a local business so that's why). So I do have to deal with it a lot. I'd really like it to stop, is there any advice anyone could give me? |
Question: How much trouble will my brother be in? Posted: 02 Sep 2017 07:47 PM PDT I am just going to make it short as possible. My brother ate a candy bar from a store without paying for it and he got caught by a store worker. My brother had to fill out papers and my mom said she has to get an attorney. So I am wondering will my brother go to jail for a little bit or...? He is 16 almost 17. |
Question: How do I get over not being able to play football? Posted: 02 Sep 2017 07:46 PM PDT So this is my last year in high school being on varsity football team and I don't want to play football in college. However, I've played football all my life and its kind of have a big place in my life. I have major life goals and aspirations, however I feel like I won't feel whole without football. I'm not sure how to deal with this and I could use some help on how to get over it. |
Question: Am I supposed to care about my half sister? Posted: 02 Sep 2017 07:44 PM PDT She keeps sending me messages on fb. I barely know her. I think I met her twice. Once when she was an infant. The other 5 years ago. |
Question: Help. My mom is freaked out over Hurricane Harvey?!? Posted: 02 Sep 2017 07:17 PM PDT Seriously, I don't understand why she's freaking out over this. We live near New York, which is no where NEAR Texas. She's been searching up on the internet on how to be prepared for a storm and a hurricane, and I tell her that she's paranoid and she's all like "I just want to be prepared." So she fills up a bunch of jugs and water bottles with water, gets a bag of cat food for our cats, and takes out extra blankets in case it gets cold and there's no more power. Like what the heck?! We're fine, and I think that she's overreacting and there's probably not going to be a hurricane! How could I convince her that there's nothing to be afraid of? |
Question: Is making a child excercise until their muscles give out considered abuse? Posted: 02 Sep 2017 07:14 PM PDT My dad recently got so mad with my sister that he made her do planks, wall sits, and sit ups for two (maybe three) hours straight until her muscles couldn't take it any more and she was full out bawling. (She had already been crying for at least half an hour before, saying she couldn't do anymore). I'm just worried. Usually, my dad is a really nice and reasonable guy. I just think his anger got the best of him or something. I would appreciate the help! |
Posted: 02 Sep 2017 07:05 PM PDT I send my niece gift cards for about $75 for her birthday and Christmas. She never has called to say thank you. No one even lets me know the card got there safely. She's 18 now, so definitely responsible in other regards. I said something to my sister a few years ago and there was one forced phone call an hour later. I'm just wondering is this how it is for other peoole too or is this reasonable for me to be annoyed and feel unappreciated. I don't give just to get a thank you... it just seems like that would be normal. Am I being old school or unreasonable? Do the kids in your life call to say thank you when you send a gift? Did you raise your kids to do this or is this manners of the past? |
Question: My friends parents are strict and think I'm a bad influence? Posted: 02 Sep 2017 07:01 PM PDT Okay so my friends parents let him go out of the house and everything. So when I go to pick him up, his dad already looks at me and talks to me like I'm already a bad person. sure I cuss sometimes but I have never cuss around my friends grown adults. I swear, his dad asks for my name and even tells me to spell it out. Here's the thing that got me frustrated. He asks me for my phone number and i tell him it (he can't speak English the best so he struggles). He then calls the number to make sure that it's legit my phone. Turns out that he put in the wrong number but yet he blames me for it and says that I'm a liar and I'm untrustworthy when it was his fault the entire time. He legit talked to me like I was some criminal and scolded me like I was his own son lol. Is there any way to gain their trust? Even my friend looked ashamed when his dad was talking **** to me lol. |
Posted: 02 Sep 2017 06:42 PM PDT Around a year ago, I suffered from a panic attack when me and my brother were fighting. Since that day, my brother has constantly shut everyone off that wants to give him constructive criticism. For example, whenever my parents talk to my brother about his grades he starts getting a panic attack. When they talk to him about responsibilities he starts having a panic attack. I hate to see my parents go through the added stress. I'd be fine with the situation but the problem is that my brother has used this to his advantage. He swears at my mom, hits my little sister (and blames it on her) and constantly verbally abuses me and he acts like he does nothing. I have been noticing his mood changes and I've decided I can't get enough. Insult me all you want but no one is messing with my mom or my sister. We were all sitting in the family room when my brother was taunting my sister on how she didn't get into advanced math or STEAM (a selective program for students) and I said that kids cant learn if they are constantly being told that they aren't worth anything. I told them that it ruins the child's brain and lowers their self-esteem. Then he started yelling at me saying "DID I DO ANYTHING TO YOU" in an aggressive tone. Then I started telling my dad how he always verbally abuses my mom and my sister and he was listening. But did anything happen to him? NO. I'm the one to get yelled at for bringing it up. And Yeah, he got a panic attack after that. Idk what to do pls help someone. |
