Question: Should I invite my father and his family to my wedding? Posted: 01 Feb 2016 12:16 PM PST My parents divorced when I was 1. I lived with my mom after that and saw my father very irregularly. Sometimes I'd see him when he would turn up at our door to complain about child support, or when he was trying to impress a girlfriend. I was 11 when he met the woman he's now married to. He sort of tried for a while. Then the two of us didn't get along because I didn't fall in love with her kids and wasn't willing to babysit whenever she wanted me to. So I went years without seeing my father at all. He showed up at my high school graduation and he and his wife left after I refused to pose for a photo with them and her kids. I saw him once more at my great grandmothers funeral. We ignored each other. Now I'm getting married and he's popped up again. I think his stepdaughter saw it on Facebook or maybe he heard from a family member. Anyway, he asked me if I would invite then. Then asked if I would be willing to let his stepdaughters daughter be the flower girl because he and his wife are supporting her and her two kids. I told him he wasn't going to be invited. But now I'm getting letters in the mail and he tried friending me on Facebook. I'm ignoring it, but a friend said I should give him another chance. My fiancé doesn't believe it's a good idea, but he's willing to support me no matter what I choose to do. I don't care if it would mean the world to him. Honestly, I don't care if he suddenly starts to regret not being there for me. I don't want him there. |
Question: Getting legally married a month before the wedding date? Posted: 01 Feb 2016 11:37 AM PST My fiance was thinking about going to the court and getting legally married about a month before our official church wedding date / reception. Have people done this before? The reason for doing it slightly before is so that we won t need to worry about filing paperwork after the wedding day, or after the honeymoon, it s already taken care of. Thoughts on this? |

Question: Wedding venues Cincinnati ,Northern Kentucky or Dayton area? Posted: 01 Feb 2016 10:24 AM PST I'm looking for a wedding venue that is nice but affordable. My whole budget is 10,000. Basically I have 4,000 to rent a space for ceremony reception food and alcohol . I want to find somewhere that both ceremony and reception can take place at the same location. Also I would like to choose my own cater and bar service without the venue telling me to pick from 3 or 4 . and where I can bring in some food myself as well. My guest list is only about 80 people . also if you could recommend any affordable caters with bar service . thanks |
Question: I plan to propose to fiancee, but I m worried about carat. (Tiffany)? Posted: 01 Feb 2016 09:25 AM PST Hello, good afternoon. I have a fiancee. (28M & 26F) we have been for 3 years and I plan to propose this year. Now, I m worried about diamond carats. Because I can buy 0.35 carats diamond ring from Tiffany and I think that is small to female. My friends said 0.5 carats ring is little uncomfortable but I don t know exactly. Yes, I can buy bigger one from other brand but I just want to give the best things to my future wife so I m not going to change where I will buy. So I have two choices - that s fine. Propose this year. - propose next year with more bigger one (I will be able to buy 0.5 carats) Give me plenty of your thinks and advices. Have a nice day! Thank you. |
