I broke up with my serious boyfriend (temporarily fiancé) a few months ago, and when I tried to return his stuff he ignored my texts, so I mailed them to him with a goodbye note. My best friend ran into him a few months ago and he asked about me and says he hasn't dated at all since and that if I ever needed anything he would be there for me to talk, but not to tell me what he said. Today, we became Facebook friends again. I had been toying with the idea of trying to talk to him again, just to see how he's doing and see if we could even be friends at all again. I am looking to relocate to Dubai soon but as an European woman who enjoys social life I have a few concerns. I can t find a lot of information on how is the night life for women like me who are atheist and single. I hope you don t mind me asking you a few questions! Just so you know though, I love learning about other cultures and always try to respect them at my best. So here are my questions: 1: can women go out dancing at night? Can they dance with men? 2: I have read that kissing is prohibited so how can a woman go out on a date or even dancing with a man without kissing? Is this valid for expats like us? 3: can women have a one night sex stand? I guess it's kind of a red flag, but I do like her. Today she was hanging out with some new guy she met downtown. Before I start I don't want any "she's your ex for a reason" BS. We broke up because I didn't feel ready to handle a relationship. Anyways, awhile back my friend thought he would pull a "funny" joke on me. My friend an I are really good friends and he know all about my relationships. So he texted my ex saying stuff like "I still love you" and "remember back in 3rd grade..." Al sorts of stuff to sound like I actually meant it. Last night I broke up with my boyfriend because I got the suspicion that he was cheating on me, I'm almost 99% positive I was right. I jut graduated from a great college and am living on my own. My fiends all left for other states and countries but I decided to stay here because I like the area. I feel proud of my accomplishments and I am pretty enough and never had a problem with friends even tho I'm a bit of a loner to begin with. Now I feel terrible tho. I met a girl in my friend farewell party. After introducing each other, we played in same team in every game. I realized that she is great gamer with pretty smile. After the game, she came and standed beside me. I was regret that i didn't have time to talk to her because we were stranger and no more chance to see each other after party. The girl I've been dating for a couple months is going on a vacation with her friend this week. They are going to a tropical island to scuba dive and planned it for several months (before she met me). I'm a little worried cause it's a huge resort island and major beach destination. She has not given me any reason to doubt her. She's very transparent, we talk every day, and even if I don't initiate contact, she will. We only get to see each other once a week cause of our work schedules, but we text/call every day. She's spent a couple weekends at my place. We met online, talked for a month before we met, and slept together after our third date. We have a lot of the same interests and want the same things. That said, I've had a nasty streak lately in the cheating realm. My last two ex's cheated on me (after assuring me the other guy was just a friend). I slept with two women this spring who were cheating on their boyfriends (I had no idea they were with someone else, btw), and I've been that guy on the tropical beach who has shagged some other guys girl. Finally, most of my married friends cheat. All of this has left me very distrustful of women. My girl gives me no reason to doubt her. That said, I get terrified everyday she will leave me, based on my own experiences. I'm trying to figure out how to get through this week without tearing myself apart. Any advice?

We've text around 4 weeks and hung out 3 times. We're both in college. She's had excuses 2 or 3 times for not being able to do stuff and it's starting to get hard cause I want to ask her out in person. I'm going to see about hanging out 1 more time and if she makes another excuse for not being able to I'm thinking about just texting her straight forward and asking 'if she likes me or not?' Because I'm starting to get tired of just texting

I met this girl when I was out the other night. She seemed to like me and gave me her #. I texted her today and invited her to something thursday. She sounded excited and said she would try to make it. But thats 5 days from now. Should I try to text her some more between now and then? Like on monday or tuesday or something? What should I say?

So today I wanted to go to this food festival thing with my friends later on today and when I asked my dad if I could go he said no because "I'm a girl". How can I convince him to let me go? The festival isn't like some rave or party, or something. It's like a family event type of thing. And how can I convince him if want to go someplace else next time?
