Question: I'm looking for a place cell to do a DIY wedding reception? Posted: 25 Jan 2017 08:21 PM PST I want to put up decor and do food and all the jazz some where in SoCal. A park or private estate or something like that? Available even at midnight. Any ideas? |

Question: Wedding Photographer in the SF Bay Area? Posted: 25 Jan 2017 01:20 PM PST Hi there, I was wondering if anyone knew of any wedding photographers in the bay area whose style might fit the description of "soft, airy, and bright." And also, whose price range might fit our lowly budget of $2-3K. Thank you so much in advance! |

Question: Should I get an engagement ring for my boyfriend when I propose? Posted: 25 Jan 2017 09:41 AM PST Do they sell engagement rings for men? Is there another type of gift I can get besides an engagement ring? Or should I not get a gift at all? I think there is a good chance he will say yes. He is in his late twenties and I'm in my late forties. |
Question: Is it acceptable to have only 60 or so chairs for an outdoor wedding ceremony of 120? Posted: 25 Jan 2017 07:39 AM PST Ceremony is at the same site as the reception. For guests who arrive early there are more than 120 seats inside with a bar available and we will be married down on the lake. Ceremony should also be less than 10 minutes. My venues coordinator recommended it as something that people having their wedding there usually do. I had asked this already but felt the need to clarify that there is comfortable space for people to wait and that it's a wedding on the lake |

Question: No parental support for wedding...any advice? Posted: 17 Jan 2017 08:44 AM PST My fiance and I are planning our wedding for June 2018. We are only spending about $5000, mostly of our own money to have a nice wedding with about 50 guests. I am finishing my bachelors degree and he just got a new job and we are trying to save to buy a house a year after we get married. My parents have not supported me financially since I turned 18 and basically have no contact with me since my fiance and I moved in together since I could no longer afford to pay the ridiculous amount it cost to live on campus at the college I went to and got away from my abuse parent. They also were not happy that I decided not to be a science major. It's incredibly frustrating because my father controls my mother and she told me yesterday that if my father would let her they would pay for the wedding, but he won't allow her. They pay for my sister's college, her car, and her apartment. But my dad won't even allow my mom to go dress shopping with me. I have no one to walk me down the aisle and I am not even sure if he will show up or be civil. I know this is a strange situation but any advice on how to approach my parents and get them to be civil and polite and maybe slightly supportive? Thanks |
