Hi, A while ago my best friend started to ignore me, and I had no idea why. I tried to talk to her, and I got nothing. Later that day, I accidentally dropped a dustpan full of staples, and she just so happened to be walking by, and she accused me of doing it on purpose! Now, she's started to insult me. I was making a joke with one of my other friends, and I said, "what's not to love about me?" My friend laughed, but this friend walked by and said, "I have 100 things I could say. That's just off the top of my mind, I have a whole list at home!" That made me feel bad, so I tried texting her and she just said, "what," and "I don't know, am I?" when I asked if she was avoiding me or mad at me. She's been saying really witty comments other than that, too. I've also recently noticed she's been spreading rumors and telling all my friends I talk bad about them. I know this because one of them asked me if this was true. Overall, I'm really confused. I don't know what I did to make her act this way. Why is she doing this? What's her problem with me? I want my friend back, since we've been friends a while, but I don't know if she wants to be...

They know we have one. I don't talk about it much at all. If invited somewhere and we know we'll be there, we just say we have other plans or will be out of town. Some set us up by inviting us to their home for diner and dropping major hints about how they love the ocean and watching the seagulls. We know what's going on but don't respond. Had one friend actually come out and ask if she could spend a few nights at our summer house. We said that it wouldn't work as we are having work done it. She then cut the evening short and haven't heard from her much. What gives? Should we just tell everyone it's a private retreat. We do invite guests that WE want at the times WE feel like it. I hate where people feel like they can manipulate you and you can't see through it (It turns me off to them big time.). We have many friends with second homes and we would never think of maneuvering to get an invite, knowing that if people wanted us there they would ask. Should we just dump these other people? They are part of out social circle. What gives with these types? Were they brought up with zero manners?

Ok this might be confusing, but I feel like I'm Not my best friends, best friend. She tells me that I'm her best friend, but I don't believe it. We don't sit next to each other at lunch I sit like 2 seats across her. And on instagram she has a 2nd account where it's just for her friends so she like posts funny things like jokes and her friends, and she never posts about me, and I always post about her and our inside jokes and she like never comments on them... I feel like I'm putting more effort in the relationship then I am. And honestly I have been wanted to like not be her friend, but like I can't because we are so close at least that's what I think. It's just that she hates like everyone I'm friends with that are like outside "our group" (I'm in 7th grade btw) what should I do? I don't really like want to talk to her about this because we have been fighting a lot and I don't want to start another fight.. please help!

So, my girlfriend has moved back to Canada and we currently have a long distance relationship. I promised her that I would come to visit her as soon as possible. Me, two of my friends (me and them are all either 14 or 15) and one of my older friends (Is currently 17, about to be 18) (A total of 4 people) plan to visit when I have my driver's license (Me and my friends will be 16-17 and 20, respectively). I was originally just planning on bringing my older friend so we can rent a hotel, since you have to be at least 18 to rent a hotel. He said he'd be fine with going with us. But then I realized that there'd probably be a whole bunch of laws regarding it and such. I'm sure my parents would be fine with me going, but I'd like to know how I would go about doing this. Would I need a passport? How much money would be required for one week (Keep in mind the extra taxes in Canada), not including gas and assuming we'd stop at one or two hotels on the way there, in America. If you're going to just tell me that I'm a stupid kid who's way ahead of himself, just don't answer. The only answer I want is one telling me if it'd be possible for me to do this, and if so how I can do this.

So I do cyber school and I don't really have friends. I have one friend that lives down the street and we text everyday but her mom doesn't let her hang out that much. I only have one friend from my old school that still texts me some times. I also have two internet friends. I live with my grandmother and cousin. We barely ever have food. I never get to do things. The only thing I do is go on my phone and study. I see kids on Snapchat from my old school doing fun things. I watched every YouTube video that interested me and there's nothing to do on the internet anymore. My grandmother doesn't have money to buy food or take us places and I'm getting sad. I feel trapped inside my room all day. And when I complain about food she doesn't care and tells me to get it myself. Sorry if I sound spoiled or like a brat. You don't know nothing about me or my life so don't make assumptions. I'm failing school, I have no talent and I'm ugly. I also have panic attacks and anxiety. I feel like I will be a failure in the future and I'm not going to have any life at all. I don't want to live like this. I understand that don't even have a house and I appreciate what i have. I just feel like my life is worthless.

I found out that I have no real friends at my school, and barely anyone to sit with during lunch. I have a few acquaintances here and there but I either don't like their friends or they don't like me so I can't sit with them regularly. My sister made a public Facebook account and she posts inappropriate pictures of herself on it. A few examples is she posted a photo of her in a bikini sticking out her butt, this nude photo of her sticking out her middle finger, and this one where she reveals her bra. She's only 11 and she just started middle school this year in 6th grade. Her friends think it's really hilarious and started imitating this behavior. She even has a video of herself tweaking but she hasn't posted it yet. I'm worried because there's so many pedophiles out there targeting kids nowadays and she probably likes the attention but that attention can turn bad then she'll start receiving a bad reputation. My 11 year old brother made a secondary Instagram specifically to post these photos. He adds random girls and women on them too. He posted a photo of himself shirtless and just wearing an underwear showing off his "abs". He also makes sexual comments on his page and he's only in 6th grade! Sometimes i feel like my friends are just being straight up jerks. Like when they take ugly picture of me all the time and edit them to make them more ugly and post it to snap chat. They even saw a baby picture of me and made fun of it by saying i look like hellen keller. Im not a sensitive person at all. Whenever we play board games they team up against me. I just feel like im singled out a lot. I feel like they are not doing this on purpose they are just to ignorant to realise that. Either way i dont feel like hanging out with them anymore. So I'm a junior in high school and I'm white, but I don't have many white friends as I usually hang out with Mexicans. And ive got this one friend in particular that's been saying semi-racist stuff toward me that at first I ignored it, but They've been coming up often after this whole election thing. Keep in mind I am no trump supporter, nor am I a Hilary supporter and i know that my friend knows this. Being a teenager in high school is the most stressful thing on earth. No one listens to you because you're "not an adult" and apparently translates to "irrelevant" and "you're wrong." Teachers don't even allow us to go to the bathroom or get a drink of water without asking, schooling hasn't changed for over 150 years, we are treated like robots. Different students's capabilities and learning strategies aren't acknowledged. A teacher stands up there and teaches the same way, talks to hundreds of students the same way. We are expected to study for hours a night, do homework from all of our classes daily, sleep for at least 8 hours, be up before sunrise, spend 7 hours every day doing the same thing, have a social life, have enough time to relax, extracurricular activities, volunteering, and whatever else is on our plates. And there's nothing we can do about it. It just keeps getting thrown at us. I can't even get my life together. I feel like a failure. Does someone have any meaningful advice Not to mention, we're expected to act like adults and treated like kids. If you think you're automatically an adult and viewed as one when you turn 18, that's a lie. I turned 18 last month and still consider myself a teen. I'm still going through the same struggles, being yelled at by my parents, always pressured to do well and graduation seems like it's ages away. Senior year is dragging on and the workload is becoming too much to handle.

It was Sunday morning and I was having a group of women over at my home for lunch. All of a sudden I had no electricity in the house. I started calling electricians in the phone book. None of them would come out on a Sunday. In a desperate move, I tried something VERY bold for me. I called my ex husband Jason. I had not talked to him in over a year. I explained my problem and he said I will be right over and fix that for you. He came over and finished fixing the problem just in time for lunch. He would not take any money for his help so I thought the least I could do was invite him to join us for lunch. He was VERY charming at lunch to me and all the other women. He told me how great the lunch was and how beautiful I still looked. ALL the single women at the lunch wanted to talk to him and be with him. All of us had a great time at lunch and great conversation. After Jason left, the women told me that was the best lunch for the group I ever had. I am scheduled to have a lunch for these women in to 2 months. Several of the single women ask me it I would invite Jason to join us for that lunch. I understand their point of view. Jason is a great looking guy. I know they would enjoy the lunch more if he was there but would it be wrong of me to invite him just to make the single gals happy. It seems kind of kinky to me. I dated a guy for a month. During that month he, introduced me to his family and we spent a lot of time together. My daughter recently started at a new high school in northern california. Our family just moved from canada to california for my husbands new job. But after moving here, some of her new classmates pick and bully her for being new. This would never happen in canada. But why are people so rude and mean in california?

I'm not social at all. I hate people. Not really but kind of. I like to work alone because I can get things done easier without distractions. My boss is odd because we are all former Marines and he's a hit or miss. Like I could say good morning and he'd say wtf is so good about it? That's an example. I've tried asking my team what they do for fun, where they're from etc trying to be friendly but it doesn't take a scientist to know they have a barrier when I'm around. All these guys can whip jokes out their asses and I laugh with them most the time but honestly I just suck at jokes without pissing someone off. So what gives? What can I do to help make a friendly bond with my team?

I like my friends, I have nothing against them. But I am a kind of person who really enjoys spending alone time at home. I love painting, making my own music, reading, or playing computer games. Since my childhood; I've never experienced a boring day in my room. I don't need so much human companionship to be happy. I am a college student who lives alone. I can go to movies, operas, and concerts by myself without asking anyone to join me. Or when I'm ill, I don't call anyone for help. I can go to hospital by myself and be okay with it. My friends are very different. They always need other people to enjoy their lives. They call me everyday to have lunch at restaurants, to go shopping or to hang out at night... I don't want them to think that I don't like them. So 2 or 3 times a week, I have to say "yes", and hang out with them even when I really don't want to. And sometimes I just make up excuses, because they don't count "I would like to stay at home this weekend." as an excuse. I am always trying be polite when I say "no", but then they insist and push me even more. I have friends who wants me to join them even when they go to supermarket or when they go to pay their bills. Isn't that extreme? They ask me to go out and eat with them, even when they know that I already ate before. My phone is always ringing. That's making me feel mentally and physically exhausted. How can I get my friends to understand me without hurting their feelings?

I went into a classroom with my best friend and some of his other friends. All he has are girls as friends, but I'm his best friend. We were gonna do homework together in the class real quick because I had to go to a different class too. When we got in the class he pushed out a chair and told me to sit, then he set his backpack down right next to that seat as if he was gonna sit next to me. (His other friends were in a different area) Then he walked over to another one his his friends and started talking to her or helping her with something. I heard her talking about another girl though, like trash talk and my friend just being like "EWW her" (I know that girl wasn't me though, for a fact) After a short while he came back to me. I was using my phone for help as a calculator. At first he just videotaped me on Snapchat. Then he started knocking the phone out of my hand as a funny way to annoy me. (We do that to each other 24/7) When I jokingly said, "oh my lord you're so annoying do you wanna die" and playfully slapped him. Then he started laughing and rested his head on my shoulder while laughing. Eventually when I was about to leave, he grabbed the IPad I needed for my next class and kept changing the wallpaper to spiders etc. Things I'm scared of as a joke because he thinks it's funny when I get scared or something😂Then when I tried to take them off he would grab the IPad away or grab my hand to stop me from doing it. He wasn't giving attention to anyone else. Why?

I have just made friends with a new girl I met on holiday and she has over 2000 friends! I mean how can you even know that many people?? All her close friends also have that many friends some over 3000! I am amazed I only have 300 and most of those accounts are now never used or doubles etc. How can you meet that many people wow.

SO, before I sound like a naive little girl (wide-eyed and confused), I'm turning 22. I previously asked a question on here about my identical twin sister inviting her bf and his little sister. I think that pissed me off because she didn't ask (then she tried to invite his whole family...I was overjoyed.) XD The point is, however bratty I may have sounded for being annoyed about her inviting them, I realized I have always shared. I love her. I bought her 3 gifts just because I wanted to recently, wrote her paper for her, and told her bf her favorite coffee shop (love to go) for their anniversary. I want her to be happy. Her boyfriend even texted all of her friends (including myself) that she was pouty. He's a keeper. THe point, amidst my tangent, is that I'm used to sharing. My life has always been a bond between two people. Even my own best friend said my sister comes first, which is awkward because my friend is my proverbial twin (born the day after us). It's not that I don't like sharing. (though I can't say I was too happy when her high school boyfriend had the same birthday as us XD) If anything, I had my own 21st birthday dinner and didn't like that she was gone. I just don't know what it's like to have a birthday without having that other person who shares it. So, what is it like for people who aren't twins? a bit of background into what it's like to have a birthday as a twin -pros and cons: pros: double the friends, a built in best friend for life, 2 cakes (sometimes), people can't forget your birthday on Facebook, and more than anything never feeling alone even when may feel like the world is against you cons: people giving 1 card or gift "you are 1 person my a**", sharing and sometimes feeling like second-place (both of us), comparing number of fb birthday wishes, remembering it's "your day" It really made realize (as I was just thinking about this) how strong my bond is with her. So, my friend is going out to drink with his class and some other people. Since they are still underage, he asked me to go with them after school to buy them drinks. I asked what's in it for me and he said "2 bucks". I asked if he wouldn't invite me to stay for a drink and he said that it's their anniversary of something so the group is kinda the same. Since I wasn't there the first time, they wouldn't invite me now. I told him to buy themselves their drinks then. We live in a country where alcohol is regularly sold to minors so it's almost no problem for them to buy it; I have been buying since I was 15 and they are older than 15. So, I think of that as them using me just to be sure they wouldn't have to go to another shop in an unlikely case they don't sell them. Because I refused to be used, my friend is now playing insulted and angry at me. Does he have the right to be?

my friend texted me in the middle of the night. he told me how he wanted to kill himself. but because i didn't reply right away he messaged me a few hours later saying he was doing better and felt happy. but i'm still concerned. my friend is the cheerful and upbeat type. idk what could have made him feel suicidal. and i don't think it's just a passing feeling. i think he's been dealing with this for awhile now. idk how to reach out to him. i'm afraid if i tell him i'm worried it'll make him closed off and not feel comfortable talking to friends about it. bc i believe he's the kind of person who's scared worrying their friends and being a burden to others.

My best friend has been married for 10 years. In my opinion, they have a terrible relationship (always fighting, etc.) However, they have 3 kids. His wife just decided to walk off with a coworker who "loves her". Now, he s stuck dealing with the kids, who are extremely upset that she s gone. My mom only cares about my brother really because every time she asks me if i've eaten or slept, while I'm answering, she interrupts and asks about my brother. so now whenever she asks i just say what my brother ate and **** and she doesn't know I've been skipping breakfast and lunch for 2 days now. My other two "friends" are closer to each other than they are to me so they make all these plans and i honestly don't give much of a **** about that but when they rub it in my face, like when we had school off and one of them said lets hang out and I became really happy for like 1 second and then she ******* said because the other one had to work. i shut that ***** down and just said i had to babysit or some other excuse. i also work with her and literally she spends all her time on this other person,taking breaks together and complely ignoring me and then having the nerve to ask me what is wrong. and then the other girl she is close with also said some tiny things that set me off. first, the other girl has a guy she likes and i texted him hi saying it was from me and the other girl said so you told her and not me? so thats the basics of it i just really need someone to talk to right now and I've kept my feelings in. please.
