This has been on my mind for a while and it's stressing me out so I thought I should ask. So, in about one week, my girlfriend and I would have been dating for a year. She's a great person, she's sweet and kind, but I don't feel we really connect. Our conversations are very bland and almost feel formulaic, and the kind of relationship I really desire has dynamic, deep conversations. I noticed this early on but I kept telling myself that we were still getting to know each other and that our conversations would get better, but now as we approach the one year mark, it's hit me that it really hasn't. She's a great person, she is, but I just don't think that we are working out together. Does that make sense? One major problem is that I know that she is really really into me. I'd absolutely hate myself to break her heart, because she is a great person and doesn't deserve that... but part of me also feels that if we continue on in this relationship where one of us is not happy not only my time will be wasted, but hers will be too, and she doesn't deserve that either. I'd also hate to break up with her just after her one year and around Valentine's Day, but I just don't know... any advice is appreciated. Thank you so much! |

| Question: How often should you text your SO? Posted: 25 Jan 2017 06:21 PM PST We re in a long distance relationship, 8 months together. He and I both text often but sometimes I feel like I m doing it too much. I never send more than two texts without a response as I assume he s busy. Just don t want to do anything that will chase him away. We were together in the same city, basically living together, until I got another job a few hours away. We visit each other every weekend and I'm trying to find a job back in the original city so we can be together. |
