Posted: 07 Jan 2017 05:25 PM PST I am a 23 year old guy and i have a really good friend who i've known for a while, problem is he is always on his phone, snapchat, facebook or whatever and its pretty annoying. We always go to this bar near where we live to drink and play pool and i would say 50 percent of the time constitutes him being on the phone, which is really annoying. Like yesterday we walked in and suddenly he got a phone call and was outside talking on the phone for like 20 minutes in the freezing cold and I sat at the bar like an idiot for 20 minutes waiting, before that he did the same thing. i mean i don't care what people do, personally i don't have any social media so I don't have a reason to be on my phone, but I hate it when someone invites me somewhere and all they do is stare at their phone, hes probably my best friend, but i really am considering limiting when we hang out because of this. |

So last year me and D were best friends but everyone called us twins bc we look alike and spent a lot of time with each other. Anyways, she really changed over the summer she started putting guys before us, wearing makeup and just acting different, not that that is a problem but we just started not hanging out as much. Now, I love M she's always there for me and agreed with me that D changed, but now she started hanging out with D. I have a group of about 4 friends and we were unseperable. I don't want to go into detail but T and A are also some of my best friends but now they have been hanging out with each other without me. I wouldnt be saying this if it wasn't so obvious, but she says he's all she has and that she loves him. I asked her specifically why he won't be her boyfriend and she said its because he's hurt over the fact that when they met she was still hooking up with different guys. I told her he has no right to hold that against her since they've never dated. I guess he doesn't trust her and never will according to her and this has been going on for a few months. Posted: 07 Jan 2017 03:59 PM PST Last year me and my closest friend were supposed to go away in the summer together, it was all booked and payed for (I payed for it as a birthday trip for me and her) so she didnt have to pay neither did i. However after agreeing to come, she later let me down as she said she couldnt afford spending money etc... So of course this peed me off slightly and we had words but moved on. She said she was sorry and that maybe next year we should look into going away when finances are better. Well its already next year but her other friend has asked her to go away now. And of course she agreed. This has really really peed me off. I feel a bit betrayed. Maybe im wrong and overeacting or being selfish but i just feel as though she owes me to go away with me. Is that childish of me? I just cant help but feel extremely dissapointed and jealous if im being honest. Surely if you let your closest friend down like that you would want to make it up to them instead of ditching them to go away with another friend instead? At lunch, my friends and I decided to sit with her and her friends. While we were eating, one of her friends asked me and my friends our names. Before I could say my name, she quickly said it for me and just looked at me. She only said my name out of my friends and some of them live on our floor as well. When I was sitting in the lobby on the couch alone, I turned to my right and saw her looking right at me, her eyes and pupils were HUGE, they were literally popping out of her head. When I looked over at her, she whipped her head towards her friends like nothing happened. Now sometimes, when we see each other we say hi. I think she is really beautiful. What do u guys think? |

I ve talked to my friends about her before, they ve all agreed they don t like her much, but nevertheless she s stayed in our friend group, and she s still the leader in her head. She s the opposite of a good friend. She s nice at first, then she just becomes a complete snake. She always plays the victim card, part of the reason she s still in my friend group. She s manipulative, bossy, condescending and snobby. Now, I really don t like people taking pictures of me without my knowledge, and she knows that well, I ve been pretty firm about it. However, that won t stop her from doing it. She s caused me to be incredibly insecure about myself. Hell, she s made me walk on eggshells around people because I m so used to her laughing or yelling at me when I say something she doesn t like. I just want her to go away. I want my friends back, I want my confidence back, I want the cheery person I was before back. I want to tell my friends how I feel but I don t want to come off as gossipy or whiny, but I m scared they re going to brush it off like before. I don t want it to seem like I m ganging up on her, or make her turn against us, but I honestly don t know what to do. Help??? |

These ex friends of mine they've betrayed me in the past and I had to go through hell because of them that's why I found these new friends who I've known for 3 years. Being the only foreigner in your school is not easy. So I found friends who I thought were true friends they helped me when I was in hardship and we looked after each other. What happened was, I saw her at the grocery store and she was standing behind me in the check out line with one item (her sister was with her too), so I decided to let her go in front of me because she only had one item and I had a whole cart full of food. She gets this way when we can't be together. Obviously she actually loves me if she's upset over not getting to spend time together. I'm just not sure what actions I can take. She's said her aunt calls her name's like "stupid" & "ungrateful". The worst thing that happened was that they were having an argument and my friend said "I'm going to put you in a home when you get old" then the aunt replied "No, somebody will kill you before then" This kind of thing has went on for years and the craziest part of it is is that everyone knows about; the family and even some friends but all they say is sorry and move on. My friend is old enough to move out but doesn't have a job or money because they are currently going to school. They were like brothers to me after spending 5 years non stop with each other. The group wasn't exactly nice to me but I can deal with it I'm tough. But since then I have tried joining other cliques but it never works, I have become socially awkward lately. When I'm around them I don't know what to say or do how do I become more comfortable with them? I hang out with a couple of them from time to time but never in a big group, I ride the bus with them, I sit at lunch with them but I just don't hang out with them. Flaking out on me is my deal breaker and it's happened several times already due to her just not showing up. I almost expected it this time and it did happen. To make a long story short, the Army fu ck ed me over and im leaving in June not January so I have about 5 months until I leave. I have been trying to find another job for the past 2 years when I turned 16 and I got one on September 2016 but it us based off of comission and I ran out of appointments so im not making amy money here. I am very intelligent but apperantly not intelligent enough to know the Army counselor at MEPs fu ck ed me all the way. I have 33 combined college credit hours and I passed 2 AP tests. I am so desperate because with no school around for a month I have gotten so bored to the point of having suicidal thoughts but I haven't told anyone about this. My plan is to get an apartment ranging from 300-500 around my local university since I signed up to take 2 classes this Spring but I need money and heres where I need your help. Plesse help me im so desperate and have no one to guide me. My parents are a horrible example and provide no support. I would speak to some teachers but I haven't been to school since December 1 Please help me |

Then yesterday we walked pass each other again except I was on the opposite side of the hall and she tried to reach out and grab me, so I turned around and walked with her. Then after a while of walking I told her I was going to be late for class, so I left. I mean she's hugged me before and there's no problem but there's something different about her. | Question: Not invited to a birthday, still buy a present? Posted: 07 Jan 2017 11:29 AM PST I'm a single 24 year old guy, and I have a 30 year old friend/coworker who is married with a toddler. I always buy his kid presents like for the holidays and when I go to their house. My friend and I are close friends. Now the kid's birthday is coming up and he is turning 3. I've asked my friend what they're doing for the kid's birthday and he said he's doing it at their house with I guess family and kids the kid's age Do you think I'm supposed to be invited since I'm close with them? He hasn't mentioned anything about me inviting me so I'm assuming I won't be. Since I am not invited I guess, should I buy a birthday present for the kid and give it to my friend to give to the kid? Or should I just say happy birthday to your kid and leave it at that only? I thought we were close enough where I would be invited to important events like this |

It all started last year, I wrote some story with pretty strong sexual content but the thing is that my friends wrote on my computer and claimed it was by me.. sure i wrote a few swear words but that's it. (I was 12 last year.. please don't make any comments about my age I realize that) I wrote this story with my two friends let's call them Jen and Lauren. Jen was my best friend. Lauren was my friend too but not best. Anyway we had a fight and I broke up with them.. This year rolls around maybe mid November and during French class we were playing 2 truths and a lie and one of friends, (who know about this story) said "Never have I ever written about people in our grade" (also this story was written about people in my grade in a 'dirty' manner but not using their real names.) she looked at me and I playfully put my finger down. everyone laughed. then my other friend let's call her Alice came up to me and asked to see it. So i was like yeah whatever it's no big deal. She promised to not show it to anyone. I gave her my computer and she typed in her email with a copy of the story. (this story was written on google docs with my school email so the teachers could see it but they never went on student's drives) Alice put her email in along with two other's. She told me that she did so and one of them was my best friend so I told them not to tell anyone. The next day I show up.. everyone knows. But they think Jen wrote it all. read below on my comment for the rest of my story. |

I have a ******* eating disorder which is eating my life .. I got harrased 3 times in my life by my ex, bff nd bro. My ex broke up with me because I don t speak perfect French I tried my best for him ..I still want him tho .. My family is messsed up .. my mom is so sick and so weak .. my dad is so alone cuz he misses Syria .. The war distroyed my life .. My family doesn t want me to stay with my bffs cuz they aren t nice apparently.. My other ex who harrased me told everyone that I m ok with it .. everyone thinks I m a ***** cuz I speak with guys a lot .. I met a guy at a party he is muslim and I like him so much he makes me so happy but I m scared to tell my family cuz they r so overprotective over religion .. Everyone thinks at school that I m an attention seeker even my bffs .. I have only one hope which is music .. it makes me happy .. I sing a lot and play piano cuz I feel different in a tottaly different world .. Im only 15 and I m scared so much .. I have social phobia .. I don t know what s gonna happen to me .. there was a teacher at school who bullied me .. I want to run away from home cuz I hate my life .. I m a fcking refugee and I hate everything .. I dont know what to do anymore I m sick of it I m sorry I know its too long but I don t know who to speak to or who to tell .. |

| Question: How to overcome being ganged up on on social media? Posted: 07 Jan 2017 10:59 AM PST I have a favorite site that I go to and it's usually fun. I've made what I thought were friends on there, especially one in particular, but recently they've all traded on me and have ganged up on me and I don't understand why. When I called the one that I thought was my friend she ignored my calls and texts so I don't have any clue what's happened for this sudden change. What should I do to get over them because it hurts really bad? |
| Question: Is one of my friends a bully or two-faced? Posted: 07 Jan 2017 10:43 AM PST One of my friends and I met in school in a group, and she added me on Snapchat. I kept posting screenshots of my Instagram profile for everyone to follow, and then a couple days later, she asked me if I had an Instagram, and one of her friends asked me if I wanted her phone number (I got that, but I never called or texted it). We gave each other our Instagram, and I waited two weeks before following her. However, she never followed me back or commented on my posts or liked my photos or videos on Instagram. Whenever she makes live videos on Instagram, she always has two other girls in there. They did, however, give me a try twice when I commented on their live to search my YouTube channel up. They showed the entire live my videos. Later on, I unfollowed her because I had a feeling she and her friends would privately backstab me. But when her Instagram became public I started following her again. I liked her pics and vids, and then I viewed her live four more times. She and those two other girls have had been calling most of the viewers and commenters names such as 'gay,' '******,' '*****,' 'dumbass,' and she called me 'weird' (which I'd let slide). I have never disrespected her, but she told me I gotta go. But then I sent her a DM with a screenshot of her Snapchat showing her score and username, and I asked her via comment on live, and she got angry and exclaimed 'oh my f**king god' and 'what the f**k is wrong with you.' She said she never added me on Snapchat and that it was some 'guy'. She was never the first to message me on any social media platform. I always had to be the first. For some reason, she's really nice IRL, and occasionally she'd be the first to talk to me, but hardly on social media. So I unfollowed her again and blocked her on both Instagram and Snapchat. |
| Posted: 07 Jan 2017 10:41 AM PST I don't mean everyone, I mean about 5 percent of people do this. I notice in school and work you have those 2 or 3 people who just gives you a hard time. I don't ussaully take things serious when someone insult or make fun of me but I found at least every place I went to there was at least one person who use me as a joke product. 90 percent of their jokes would be about me. Making rumors, even trying to start a fight. I remember my teaching telling me that people like this target the quiet and nice ones. Just want to know why those type of people try making you miserable. |

They didn't include me, one of them talked behind my back and they keep bringing up my other friend and I just exploded with anger and texted them so many things last night. Now they're like they don't want to talk to me but, my best friend in the whole wide world even said some stuff about me and he's leaving on vacation on tomorrow and won't be back for a month. | Question: My cousin is always asking me for favors? Posted: 07 Jan 2017 10:40 AM PST She is 26 and I am 19 we live next to each other because our husbands are brothers and they work with the same company. Well, my cousin has babysat for me the past few months and taken me to my appointments and my son's. She stopped babysitting due to her giving birth to her third child the 22nd of last month. I have had to struggle with getting a babysitter and now every week in a particular day, she asks me to stay a few minutes with her kids while they're sleeping while she has to run across the street to get milk for the baby or some diapers or just some random **** that she needs. She says she will pay me but I tell her no. I am not going to go out in this cold and get sick or just because she feels like going out. I have told her no and made up excuses and now she won't talk to me or won't take care of my kid. Not even for a few minutes while his dad gets home. I am tired of her asking me so I don't know what to do. |

Posted: 07 Jan 2017 10:26 AM PST So basically over the summer my friend group was firends with this guy group, as the school year came, the guys started hanging out with another friend group of girls, and we were hurt. We never did anything to them. Then, the guys came back to our friend group, and qwant to hang with us. we did, and it was fun. BUt, the girls in the other group that had been hanging with them were really hurt. We have tried inviting them to hang with us AND the guys, but the guys don t want to hang with them. We have tried to be super nice and everything we try hasn t worked. We just don t know what to do anymore. PLZ HELP <3 |
