I don't want to go all out and spend a ton of money that I do not have but I would like to have a small simple church wedding. Is this at all possible for around $500? And I am not including the cake or wedding dress in this. I already have a wedding dress and my mother is paying for the cake as a wedding gift to us.

just dont have any girls that can stand up with me and havent been with me through the good and bad times for at least five years. I expect in a bridesmaid they be around for the rest of my life. who says they have to be women? Ive got a brother my dad and mum have been given parts in the wedding but my brother doesnt have a part hes been a huge part in my life for 23 years. I have a couple of friends that will sign as witnesses. How can my mum is pressuring me to have someone but got two very good friends to be my witnesses. She expects me to have someone but I just cant find the right person my fiance doesnt have anyone to ask too he does have friends but we dont believe in a hierarchy of friends

The mother-in-law and father-in-law got married a couple years ago and to this day she cries every time she thinks about their vows. And it s not tears of joy it s tears of pure anger and upset because the officiant who wrote their vows would not let them read them before the ceremony and not once did it say anything about love or cherish it was one big joke about farm animals. Months after her wedding all she did was cry anytime someone brought up her wedding or ask her how it went. Not only that because of the place that they had the wedding all they could have was there children there they couldn t have anyone else and now we have the opportunity to surprise them with their family and friends. Do you think it is appropriate to do a surprise for renewal in this circumstance?

My fiancé and I are getting married next May. I have a very small family, and am only inviting my sister and mother on my side. All of the other guests are his mother, father, ex-stepfather, brother, sister, grandma's, aunts and uncles. We are not inviting any friends, because neither of us have many that are very close. My sister will be planning me a wedding shower, bachelorette party and will be my Maid of Honour. My fiancé doesn't have anyone to be his best man. I know he doesn't HAVE to have one, and he can ask anyone to sign the marriage certificate, but since I am going to have someone on my side, we want someone to be on his side as well. His dad and him have a strained relationship and are not very close. His ex-stepdad is an alcoholic, and not dependable. The uncle he is closest to is also an alcoholic and also not dependable. The uncle he wanted to ask to be his best man passed away last year. His brother and him are 10 years apart and are not close at all and never have been. It would be very awkward to ask him to be a best man, as we are not sure if his wife would even let him (crazy, yes I know...). Does anyone have any ideas?? We don't want to ask just anyone, because we want it to be someone who actually cares enough about my fiancé to plan something for him and help him with a couple of things for the wedding. BUT we cant create people that don't exist either! We need to send our save the date cards out soon so would love any advice!!! Thanks!
