Question: Should I wear a Bigfoot costume to my uncle's wedding? Posted: 19 Sep 2016 10:15 PM PDT This is his fifth marriage, so it's not like anybody's gonna be taking this too seriously, anyway. |
Question: What kind of music do you play at your wedding? Posted: 19 Sep 2016 08:49 PM PDT My fiance is Mexican. A lot of his family ONLY speaks Spanish. I'm white. A lot my family ONLY speaks English. We also have totally different tastes in music. Obviously we're gonna play music for both sides. I just don't want no on to complain. |
Question: Does your colors of your wedding have to match with everything??? Details below....? Posted: 19 Sep 2016 08:43 PM PDT We haven't picked a date yet,but we picked colors. We are gonna have either a light teal, or turquoise for the tables cothes, bridesmaid dresses, & the ties of the groomsmen. Along with an arch of teal, or turquoise and white balloons. My bouquet is gonna be dark red roses. And our cake is either gonna have white, or ivory icing with strawberries going up the side. |

Question: Fiance's commander is former hook-up and I don't want her invited to the wedding? Posted: 19 Sep 2016 01:58 PM PDT My fiancé and I are planning our wedding, he is military aviation. He has been friends with this girl since college (2009) where they once made-out. We are now stationed at the same post as her and she has control of his flight hours. I personally do not want another female there who has kissed my future husband especially when the pastor says, "You may now kiss your bride". It just bugs me, it just does, knowing I'm not the only one he has kissed there. I have been understanding of their work relationship up to this point but I feel I get to call the shots on our wedding invite list. He says she is a good friend and it would make it "awkward" for him and her if she wasn't invited as well as potentially affecting whether she'll give him flight hours in the future because she will know other college friends were invited. Do I have any ground to stand on? No, I do not believe that there is a secret motive and they'll end up shacking up in the back of the church, but I just don't want her there. Whose potential of "awkwardness" is more important in this situation? The fact remains that she is flirty with him via text that he is oblivious to and secondly, I invited her to his birthday party and even after she said she would come and I bought food, she didn't show up and didn't offer an apology until we awkwardly ran into her a restaurant days later. I guess if we're past considering the other's feelings when inviting people, I will invite my bosses from my previous job who constantly hit on me. Who cares what he feels, huh? |
Question: Should I have bridesmaids?!?!? Posted: 19 Sep 2016 01:23 PM PDT I am getting married in a couple of years so I still have some time to decide this. I am having a small wedding out on a lake with a few cabins nearby for family and friends to stay in. The wedding I want will have a max of 50 people if even that. With such a small wedding is it even worth it to have bridesmaids? I have 4 sisters and I would love to have them in my wedding followed by my 3 best friends however the whole point of having a relaxing fun wedding is that I don't want my bridesmaids to stress about buying dresses. Another reason why I can't decide is because I want to have bridesmaids lead the way down the isle for me so I can make my "grand entrance" however with how small my wedding would be I feel like there wouldn't be much people standing on the side watching us if I did have bridesmaids. Hopefully whoever answers this can follow what I'm trying to say. Thanks in advance! |

Question: First time as a bridesmaid? Posted: 19 Sep 2016 10:29 AM PDT So my cousin is getting married in 2 weeks and his fiancé asked me to be a bridesmaid in the wedding. I'm super excited about it as I am really close to my cousin. I just had a few questions about how it worked during the wedding and what I do as a bridesmaid. I was a flower girl in 2 weddings when I was younger but I barely have any memory since I was 4 and 5 during the weddings and haven't been to a wedding Since. I'm 19 and the bride and bridesmaids are all 23-25 years old. I didn't attend the bachelorette party since I live in a different state than them but I did go to the bridal shower with my grandma. But anyways I just wanted to know if anyone could give me information about what goes on in a wedding so I'm prepared! |

Question: Does it matter what my rings are made out of if your a guy? Posted: 19 Sep 2016 07:42 AM PDT Is the material of the rings I'm going to wear matter, such as my class ring, and wedding band when the time comes?. And do they need to be the same or different? And if a guy was to get a ring before marriage does it need to be the same color as the wedding ring? |

Question: What is the best way to structure the day for an intimate wedding? Posted: 19 Sep 2016 01:12 AM PDT I'm getting married in May of 2017 and I'm trying to figure out what the best way to structure the day would be. The wedding is very small (25 guests max) and the guests are all very close family. It's also going to be very casual, the venue is my parent's home/backyard, and we're grilling for dinner. Will all of that being said, we still want a few traditional touches like the cake cutting, toasts, father/daughter dance, and the first dance as husband and wife. We're planning for the ceremony to start at 4pm and I think we'll be taking photos before the wedding starts, I think it will help the rest of the wedding day to flow better. This is my idea for the general flow of the day. -Photos before ceremony -Ceremony -Dinner -Dances -Cake Cutting -Toasts -Dancing, socializing, etc. until the end of the night Do you have any suggestions or corrections you think I should make? Please let me know, I'm open to any suggestions you have :) *With all of that being said |
