Posted: 23 Sep 2016 01:45 PM PDT Like when he wanted to break the news to me that my grandmother died (his mother) my mother called anyway. When he wanted my mother to leave it off Facebook, she posted it anyway (though not right away). When he wanted to travel out west one summer, she wouldn't let him. She never permits him to do holidays with his side of the family except once even when her parents are traveling. What causes this? My mother is mean in some ways but she is a good person so it is not that she is an abuser or anything. What makes a man surrender to this kind of thing? I am an adult now and trying to figure it out. They are one of only two couples I know like this. The other man like my Dad is married to a narcissist (my mother though is not a narcissist except when it involves conflict in the family). @Macka----Good answer, I am a guy though |

Question: My step dad doesn't want me to change my last name? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 01:24 PM PDT My step dad and I are really close. I was never close with my father as he abandoned me and is a drug addiction/ alcoholic career criminal. I had asked my mom what she thought about it and she was really touched by the idea. I am now 18, because my biological father would never allow me to change my name ( he's a cruel bastard) I had to wait until I became an adult. When I first talked about it he was thrilled but now it seems like he looks for reasons why I shouldn't change my last name. I'm clearly not getting married till a long time from now. He keeps saying I should change it to my Grandparents last name or keep my last name because of my uncle. I can't help but feel hurt because he doesn't seem to want me to have his last name. I talked to him about it last night he gave me some lame excuse. What should I do? |
Posted: 23 Sep 2016 01:19 PM PDT I'm 17, my name is Tammy Johnson, my mom have all six of us. I'm the fifth child out of the six. Every since I was kid, I felt she treated my differently towards my brothers and sisters till this day... Now she might have a reason to treat me like this but it been happening eversince I could remember. Please try to undertsnad, I love my mom and when I tell myself I hate her, I rarely talk to her and ask her for help, my older brother(18) and younger sister always ask her help, I try to make it easier doing things myself to make it less hard on her but she seem as if she doesn't get me. |
Posted: 23 Sep 2016 01:10 PM PDT We're doing the same classes at college (UK). We've known each other for over a year now and we're friendly and she never mentioned having kids. She never gave any input when people spoke about their kids. Today she answered the phone to her SON. Who's 9 and she's only 25 wtf. She yelled at him a little. She ended the call and told me her kids (MULTIPLE KIDS. She has a 7 year old yikes) were whining for her to pick them up from their dads early because their dad is boring and strict. She didn't go get them AND she turned off her phone! Doesn't seem like a great mom. |
Question: How do I convince my mom to let me do my homework in the dinning room? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 01:05 PM PDT Ok so I was allowed to work in the dinning room until i ratted my sister out for having glue on the chair that i sit on when i work. but now my mom won't let either one of us work at the dinning room table. I wasn't the one who put the glue on the seat, and it was just elmers glue. It was an easy clean. but i guess she was so pissed that she won't let me or my sister work at the dinning room table. but I can't work in the kitchen because the table isn't that big. and plus the stove is in the way. I can't work in my bed room because I have no desk, and plus I fall asleep to fast when I work on my bed even when I am sitting up. is this even in the right category? |
Question: I want my own family bad, why? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 12:56 PM PDT I'm 22 year old , female. I have always wanted a family, a son and my man. Everyone has a purpose in life, I feel like besides my career that I'm just made to be a mom. They say your 20s is too young to have a family of your own, but I believe I can do it. I always wondered why I get this feeling & it's not cause my friends have children but I have always wanted to be a mom. Why is that? Any advice? Nothing negative please. |
Question: My mom makes me feel uncomfortable and insecure about everything? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 12:52 PM PDT ok so my mom is always making me feel REALLY uncomfortable. all the time. and i don t know why. but it seems to me that it s always when i buy makeup for myself and anything else i.e., bras, underwear, shirts, anything really. and i notice it especially whenever i buy bras and things like that for myself. she always questions me like "are you SURE it s the right size" and she s always giving me these judegemental looks. and it makes me really upset that my mom and i have lost that bond where we could go out and have fun -- now it s just uncomfortable. it makes me upset because all my friends are always telling me things like "oh yeah i went put bra shopping with my mom on the weekend and it was really fun" and i can t ever be able to say that because we havent and won t. and whenever i try to talk to her about it, she yells at me saying "you re so irate!" and "oh my god why is always something wrong with you why can t you just be happy" i just don t know what to do anymore. |
Question: Mom forced me to have my baby shower at my sis in laws(SIL) house? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 12:35 PM PDT This isn't really a ? Just wanted to know what others would feel in the same situation. It's sad but yea my mom threw me a baby shower instead of a friend, I just simply wanted it at my parents place, more comfortable & convenient, my mom said her house is not big enough so she had to "ask" my bro's wife to have it there, i think my mom made up the part about asking, my SIL offered. I was getting annoyed because my mom forced me to have it there, basically have it there or not at all, turns out they finished remodeling their house &wanted to use this to show off, so my mom was yelling at me saying my SIL is so nice to let me use their house even though I told her I didn't want to. My SIL emailed my mom telling her she bought flowers for the "baby shower" then the whole time my mom kept saying how could u be so selfish 'she even bought flowers for your baby shower' yea right...the whole time my mom was bugging me 'u need to say thank u to your SIL' this really pisses me off, my mom will bring this up about how she did so much for me everytime something comes up, but she never does lift a finger and sits there taking credit. It annoys me that my mom treats me this way and that she's my SIL puppet, when I told my parents I was pregnant the 1st thing my mom said was that she's too old to take care of kids, but here she is watching my nephews every weekend&taking time off to watch them. |
Question: My sister spanked my child with Down Syndrome? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 12:34 PM PDT So, I asked my 10 year old daughter with Down Syndrome to unbuckle her 3 year old little sister. My daughter understands what I said, and she said, "No, she's sweaty." I just rolled my eyes and unbuckled her myself. It really isn't that dig of a deal in my opinion because my daughter is a little bit of a germaphobe and doesn't like sweat. Next thing I know I hear a smack and my daughter was crying. My older sister was yelling at my child about respect. I pushed my sister away from my daughter and told her to leave. She thinks that spanking a child is fine, but she knows how I feel about her spanking my child. Did I do the right thing by telling her to leave. My daughter is respectful towards my and listens most of the time. Again she hates sweat. That's the only reason that she didn't get her sister. You have to pick your battles with any child. To me her not getting her sister because she is sweaty isn't something I want to get into an argument about with her. Now if it had been something like, "get your sister's cup," and she did not listen then some discipline would be needed. |
Question: I slept with my mothers husband? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 12:17 PM PDT im 28 hes 45 we both were drunk after her bday celebration. her coworkers took her out for a ladies only thing and I stayed home because I had work the next day. anyway it really was him who came on to me but I was walking around in just panties so yea but he was still wrong. anyway we had sex unprotected and he did explode in me now its a possibility that I could become pregnant but ill have to wait until next month to see. anyway the next day we were both acting weird and im worried hes gonna tell my mom that I came on to him. should I just tell her that he raped me or what? |
Question: I feel like a misplaced human being. Why did I have a life like this? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 12:13 PM PDT When I was 3 months old my parents didn't have enough money to raise me so they took me to a different country and handed me off to my grandmother.I was raised by my grandma, uncle, and aunt. When I was six, my parents came back to get me.I came back the the US with my parents and they were always mean to me. Both my mom and dad would always talk to me in a raised voice and command me to do things. I never got any toys and wore my sister's hand-me-downs. I never asked for anything or voiced my opinion because I knew I would get yelled at. I continued living my life like this and would cry myself to bed each night. All my life I have accomplished things, graduated college, got a very nice job,am a decent human being. I still remember one year where my parents didn't get me anything for my birthday, but bought my younger brother a brand new gaming system. When I graduated high school and college my parents didn't even congratulate me, but threw my older sister a party when she graduated.I paid for all of my college education on my own and my parents are currently paying for all of my brothers.Every time my siblings and I fight my parents always take their side and never mine.I got a job the day I turned 16 and my mom kept all of my money until i was 18,but never gave it to me. Now, every time I come visit my parents I can't help but wonder if I am over thinking things or if I should distance myself away from them because they truly do not care about me. |

Question: Grandma plays favorites? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 11:57 AM PDT I have two kids. One is from a previous relationship, and he passed away. So met another man and now we are married and have a 2 year old. His mother favorites our two year old. I know that my oldest isn't her biological grandchild, but my child has been around long enough for her to love her enough to not play favorites. His mother buys our two year old clothes, toys, etc. Quite often. The last time she got my oldest anything was in February for her birthday which was two outfits and they weren't even wrapped, they were in a box that the clothes came in from the store. She over does it for my 2 year old sometimes and it makes me angry. She even takes her to get her nails done. She has taken my oldest one time to get her nails done. I don't understand why she does it. She has another grandchild that is biological and she spoils him as well. I don't know why my oldest isn't good enough. She's only 5 years old, eventually her feeling will be hurt. And my husband doesnt even pay attention enough to agree with what I feel is accurate. She plays favorites. Also, a few weeks ago she took my two year old to the mall to shop and bought her clothes and a toy. She said she'll take my oldest but when the time came around she said she had to pay for something and couldn't afford to take her out, yet bought 300$ tickets to an event for her and my husband!! I'm furious with her. But I don't want to cause problems.... so I rarely say anything. Please help me. |
Question: How do I stop my sister from bullying me? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 11:56 AM PDT I m 16 and she s 14, she tells me that I m a fat and lazy ***** when I m TRYING TO GET OUT MORE! She says I m an idiot and incompetent because I mess up ONCE during the day. She also thinks she "hurts" because "she had a long day at cheer"! She also tries to make me babysit when she s "doing homework", when she s really just playing on her iPod! She tells me I m a fatass, and yes I am a bit overweight, BUT THAT S NOT THE POINT! She tells me to get out of my bed when I try to relax after school, and then does the same thing! She tells me that I should go to the insane asylum for my suicidal thoughts, and says to "Stop, you attention whore". |

Posted: 23 Sep 2016 11:32 AM PDT Hi, im 18 and ive been smoking weed seane i was like 14 and my mom has known for the last 2 years or so about it. she has been kinda cool about it aswell. But sense i turned 18 she thinks im doing a **** ton of other drugs when im not.she also likes to always fall back whenever i have and issue our get in trouble etc. She always falls back on the fact that i smoke weed and thats the reason why whatever happens at the time happend. And not only is stuff like that she literly blames everything on weed like the othere day i said i felt sick and she said its probably all the weed u smoke. Posted: 23 Sep 2016 11:06 AM PDT Sister has been hurt I the past and this guy seemed like a dream come true for her.then he basically said he spent all of his money on parking tickets and bills and there was no money left for a honeymoon and a house. Then it turned out he made very little money. He's always telling everyone including on Facebook that he's going on fancy trips and painted his new "mansion". He'll post fake photos of the fake house and pretend vacations. Tell everyone he's a big shot manager and has all these important duties. I called him out on this many times but he ignores and continues. Always telling fb or his friends and family that he's at the car dealer trying to buying a Lexus.Another thing, everytime I talk to my sister he's always eavesdropping and trying to insert himself in the conversation.I went with my sister to the lake once and he was furious that he wasn't there. My sister sees him for what he is but always makes excuses for him. I want him to stop lying to everyone but after six yrs of marriage he has no plans to. How to deal with this? |

Question: Abusive parent but only like half the time? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 10:53 AM PDT I really don't know what to think. She's screaming and shouting at me, bringing me down, sometimes getting physical and often threatening to hit me. It has gone so bad, and I am getting help, so no worries. I still hate her though, and there was a time I wanted to kill her but she's not worth jail time. The wierd thing however, and my main question really is... The other half, like most of the time she's okay... I mean she has her bursts everyday and is unpredictable but she's not that bad when she's okay. I mean, I will never stop hating her, but she's cooking, giving me money to buy stuff, and is sometimes seeming to be sincerly loving, and I'm absolutely confused. As you can see I'm very skeptic and I have closed myself from her long ago, I won't fall in this trap or whatever it is, but why? Why can a crazy nutcase be a good sweet person? It's times like these I wonder, if I really am having it bad but then I read the way I felt when she's abusive and start hating her again. Perhaps if she was a just a nutcase I'd have gotten rid of her long ago, perhaps if she was an actual good person she wouldn't hurt her own children. Why be in the middle?! Oh and I'm a teen, 16 btw. |

Question: Stepfamily Problems. What do I do? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 10:18 AM PDT I took my daughter and stepdaughter to my parents yesterday during work to pick them up from school/babysitter. We hadn't seen them in a couple of months. I called my wife to let her know since she was at work. We visit them for about an hr. They offer us drinks, snacks, etc and leave. I take my daughters back home and go to work. When I get home it turns out that my stepdaughter and wife have analyzed everything about that visit and looked at it under a microscope. Our visit turned out to be "chaotic" it seems when in reality there was not much to it. I love my wife and stepdaughter, but I cannot live like that anymore. My wife doesnt understand because she doesnt have any stepkids. I just want us to be able to interact with my siblings/parents like we do with her relatives. Ended up arguing yesterday and when it started getting physical I left the house. Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like if I had instead married a women without kids who would be interested in getting along with her in-laws. Im also really disappointed with my stepdaughter. Im the only father she has since her father abandoned her when she was a baby and I have always included her in everything I do. So it kind of hurts for her to make my life harder. She has no need to feel any affection for my parents but I wish she wouldnt instigate if she really loves me and her sister. What should I do? |
Question: My parents always think I lie and never believe me? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 10:17 AM PDT I am really frustrated and sad. When I was little, I was not the best kid and I used to lie (about little things, and I was around 5) and I lost my parents trust. I am 16 now (I am a girl) and till this day my parents never believe me about anything, because whenever someone has done something around the house, I am considered guilty, even though I have done nothing and I am honest. Whenever something is wrong, my parents ask my 4 year old sister has she done it/seen me do it and she always says that she has not done it (even though she never really tells the truth) and I always end up being guilty and I always cry because nobody in my family believes me and calls me a liar just because when I was little I lost their trust. What do i do, I am so over it!!???? |
Question: How do I get my parents to understand my PTSD from childhood traumas (they don't get it)? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 10:12 AM PDT The therapist has explained it and they feel it is something one can choose if they want to have or not. My father especially. My trauma is related to their divorce so it may be because it is person to them. I have anxiety issues anyway but the PTSD factor, what is hardest now, is from peer abuse in school and parents divorce which was an ugly one. I was 9 at the time but it went on for 6 years. @Rebecca----Things they do trigger my traumas, especially their continued behavior at holidays (trying to use me as a pawn to bribe which parent I will spend the holiday with). |
Question: My sister pisses me off by being clumsy and cranky! How do I deal with this situation!!!!? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 10:03 AM PDT Let's call her Lexi. Lexi is always pissing me off. Whenever I help her play yandere simulator she just groans and says I didn't help get her Senpai. Another example is that she turned off the light switch, which turned off both the ceiling fan and lights! I told her that she turns off the ceiling fan, which made the room hot! She says I didn't! And then I keep telling her that she did and she just covers her ears singing I can't hear you I can't hear you! Also whenever I ignore her she just pretends to be smart and says "pff ur just ignoring me." She acts like that whenever she is mimicking what I might say next. For example she tells me, "Turn off the tv" when the remote is next to her. Then she says, "you're going to say, 'I'm too lazy!'" **** that ***** u r the lazy one u bitchy brat. She constantly tries to win every conversation with me everytime, even though I'm winning. Whenever she realizes I won she just makes the conversation confusing and weird. For instance I told her that the remote is next to you and that she's the lazy one. Then she just pauses and says "u r the lazy one." What? That does not make sense. Then she throws the remote away from her and says "now it not next to me." God it just pisses me off. I don't know what has turned her into this. We're both sisters and I know that I loved her as a kind and fun child. Then I just want to dig my fingers into her flesh and snap her arteries until I become satisfied with the blood pouring out of her body!!! UGH |
Posted: 23 Sep 2016 10:02 AM PDT For example if two sisters are enemies then they have to disown each other's children and make sure their children never know each other. Posted: 23 Sep 2016 09:39 AM PDT so my sister is pretty clever when i try to trick her into watching scary stuff. she realizes its gonna be a scary movie by the 'atmosphere'. even when its just the beginning where you meet the family/group of victims, she knows. but i was able to trick her into watching pans labyrinth. she thought it was a fantasy movie, like lord of the rings but with fairies. anyways its not that scary. it just has that gruesome, totally unexpected scene where the captain smashes a bottle into that mans nose over and over again until he dies. google pans labryth bottle scene if u havemt seen the movie. youll see it really doesnt justify my sister crying and screaming. my dad came to see what she was screaming about. he got so mad and hit me. i even replayed the scene so he can see its not that bad but then he yell more cuz i replayed it when my sister still there. hes taken my TV out of my bedroom. I only got a TV in my room like a month ago. cuz he never let me have one in my room (my parents are weird). i know i can watch movies and shows on my laptop but sometimes i like to watch an actual TV while i study. well now i cant. i want him arrested for taking my tv and hitting me which is child abuse. i want him investigated by the fbi like brad pitt is being investigated by the fbi for just yelling apparantly. see how celebrities get better treatment than us? i want my non celebrity dad imprisoned for a long time. and i want some police brutality too. can i have some of that for my dad? and i even went to mcdonalds for that little pig sister behind my moms back. walked a mile from my house to finchly rd mcdonalds and back and paid for her with my money and this is how she repays me. |
Question: Can you have someone charged with false accusation? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 09:33 AM PDT long story short i left my oldest sons dad about 2 years ago and have since found a new partner. my partner absolutely loves my oldest son. he cares for him the same way he does for the son that we have together. now my oldest son s dad is very jealous and has on a number of time called CAS claiming that my new partner abuses my son, i have had CAS on a number of occasions come and talk to my son by himself. every time he advises CAS that my partner does not hit him or treat him bad. but that his real dad hits him whenever he goes for a visit. i have my oldest son s dad messaging that he wants to "meet up" with my and partner and me so "we can get along". and has on a number of times said he has no problems with my new partner and that he wants to be friends with him. It seems every time that myself and my partner refuse to "meet up" with him or he doesn t get what he wants then he makes these same exact accusations and phone calls to CAS. |

But to be fair, today she went for 4 hours to learn, and she is going with her mother to an opening of a restaurant tonight, leaving her kids with a nanny. What the foook is going on, tell me NOW? |

Question: How do I deal with a controlling stepmom? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 08:47 AM PDT My dad has been married a very long time and he puts up with my stepmom. My stepmom is very controlling and mean. Her and I don't get along at all. My dad doesn't mind her controlling him. In fact, my dad stops seeing me less and less all because she tells him not to and it's hurting my relationship with him. He wont speak up, he won't be assertive, and allows her to bully him! How should I handle this? Is there any way I could get a restraining order or a lawyer to help with this if my dad won't do anything? I think she is very abusive to him too! |
Question: Will I get in trouble for running away at 14? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 08:45 AM PDT I've been having a REALLY hard time a school these past few days and I always show up to school with red teary eyes--it's exhausting always being asked what's wrong with me because it only makes it worse and I start crying again. Yesterday, my sister did something she wasn't supposed to do and I got in trouble for it. My dad stripped me of all technology, my computer, my phone, my t.v and she got nothing taken away! I feel like it's really unfair. I had to clean up OUR room by myself. The thing that she did was very little though..she ate in the room and my dad got super angry. Some people may say "Oh she's younger then you that's why. You should have told her not to" No, she's 13. Not even a full year younger then me so our age difference should not matter, and I wasn't at home when she was. This morning, I accidentally missed the bus because I couldn't find my belt. My dad got super angry again and told me I had to walk to school. My school is an hour away by walk and I don't even know the way really. School just started a month ago,and I'm a freshman. It's the first time I've missed the bus so I don't know why he was mad??My sister has missed it more times then me and he's never over exaggerated. He told me he needed to get to work but the thing is my dad can't get fired or in trouble for being late to work He is a supervisor at his job. Then he want on to explain that I needed to grow up and this was why I wouldn't be getting my stuff back. ?? I started walking out of the house thinking that he would change his mind but he just drove right pass me. I started to break down crying, not because I had to walk but because I was just tired of feeling like I wasn't being treated right. I called my aunt to come and get me so she could take me to school, and she said she was on her way but my dad pulled back up and told her not to come and made me walk an hour to school. . He told me he was gonna "Show me" when I get home but I don't want to go home. I want to run away. Will i get in trouble if i do this? not by my dad but by the police or something |

Question: I missed school today, anyway to cope with it? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 08:18 AM PDT So when I woke up my mom and dad were at work so I got ready kind of last minute, and I couldn't find my key to lock the door with, so I had to call my mom and she was SO mad that she was screaming through the phone saying that I ruined everything. And I found it under some books later now I feel so bad. She said she packed lunch for me and did everything for me and that my sister did a better job of that. Now she wants me to wake up on my own, and pack my lunch on my own. There's people coming in our house to check our place too and that'll be so awkward. I wanted to walk but she said it'll take forever and that it's too late so what's the point. Omg I'm so stressed I hate myself right now and I've been crying myself out. Oh, well we're selling our place soon so we have to use our old keys to the old lock from our door. I've woken up and left plenty of times by myself and got onto my bus, but today was a mistake |
Question: Daughter claims she is going to make a "funny face" for her school picture? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 08:04 AM PDT She decided to act immature this year and said she is not smiling for her school photos. Instead, she is making an obnoxious face. I don't know why she thinks this is so funny and I want to punish her before I spend $100 on pictures which I usually give out to our entire family for Christmas. What can I do? When I asked her why she thinks it's fun to ruin her pictures she said "because it's cute". Help? The form and money is turned in on picture day. I can't see the photo before I order. |
Question: Why don't people believe in someone? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 07:51 AM PDT I was thinking this and wondering if other people agree. I have a couple friends that always get frustrated because people don't "believe" in them. But they are the type of people that change their mind every other day on what they are going to do. I think it's not that people don't believe in them, its more they just don't believe they will still want the same thing tomorrow and they will change their mind. Do you agree? or what are your thoughts? |
Question: Why are some boys interested in a chubby girl like me? 13 year old? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 07:05 AM PDT I am 13 year old girl. I am five foot four, and weigh 148 pounds. There are two boys who are interested in me, BUT THEY ARE SKINNIER THAN ME. I swear they have flat stomachs and my belly fat is right in front of me. One says he prefers them "curvy", and the other tall one keeps trying to talk to me during lunch with his two friends. I one time caught him staring at me through the library window and whenever he sees me he smiles at me. They both like me, but why do they prefer chubby me? Do they like my face? |
Posted: 23 Sep 2016 06:13 AM PDT My sister's two kids are 100 percent normal so she takes it with a badge of honor and criticizes my son regularly. |
Question: My relatives house is really disgustingly filthy? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 06:06 AM PDT One of my relatives house that baby sits my 5 month old daughter a few times a week (while I m at work) is just so disgustingly filthy. They haven t attempted to clean it in years. I want to pay to get their home professionally cleaned but I don t want to be offensive.. I honestly just worry about my daughters health while she is there. I don t want her in that dirty environment but I have no other babysitters for those days. They have dishes piled up, under their toilet seat is completely black, there is just dirt everywhere. The only place semi clean is the living room, where my daughter hangs out while she s there. Should I be worried for her health being in that house or am I overreacting?? |
Question: I want to run away. PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING!? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 05:56 AM PDT OK. This isn't going to be in order, I'm just spewing out feelings and stuff. I have a verbally abusive mom. According to her, it's all my fault. I don't know what to believe anymore, except that I have to GET. OUT. I'm not saying my age, there are some b!tchy people on here who will say annoying, not helpful stuff. What I will say is that I'm a girl, and I'm under 16 years. Today, or this morning, was 'the last straw'. I snapped. I've had enough. She's going to cut my hair and stuff like that. I just can't take it anymore. It's not like I don't have a place to stay- I live in Miami, and my dad (who is loving, caring, everything my mother is not) lives in our old house in Charlotte, North Carolina. How do I get there? Can I hitchhike? I don't know if he'll pick me up or not when he comes to visit. I've been emailing him on and off, and he is 'on my side', essentially, contrary to what my mom says: ("Oh, no one can help you. Your father is on my side. He told me everything.") I know that's not true. My dad hasn't said anything to my mother that would harm me. I just need help. I've researched what I need to pack. I have almost no money (like 10$, which will definitely not be enough). How do I get there? He will definitely not kick me out once I get there, I know that for sure. School is not a problem- I use an online school (hard to explain- my school teaches with an online school, so I still have to go to the building so it can be considered an actual school) *continuing* (hard to explain- my school teaches with an online school, so I still have to go to the building so it can be considered an actual school, but I don't have to go to the building and it would be considered homeschool.) (It's called MCA Academy if anyone is confused and wants to google it) My education is fine- I just need to know how to get there. Help me please. |

I moved in with my sister a year ago im a year younger than her, we both have separate rooms but she wont sleep alone. She has a boyfriend and they see each other on the weekends but when he doesn t stay over she sleeps in my room. it gets really anoying because i love having my space to myself. I have tried talking to her about it but every time she just says that shes scared of the dark and i would always say it s all in your head noth I ng is going to happe, and she would just get irritated and then ignore me for the rest of the day. she has also been through something traumatic in the past year but i think she s using it as an excuse because she never liked to sleep on her own when we were in high school(and i hated it back then aswel). i have talked to her about seeing a psychologist or a therapist but every time i try to get her to make the appointment she makes up excuses as to why she dosnt want to do it right at that moment(im too tired, I ll do it later etc.) I really want some help with this as i am starting to resent my sister to the point that im going to move out and not talk to her again. Question: Should i move out?????? Please help? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 04:04 AM PDT I have two kids with my boyfriend we been thinking about moving out of our parents house for a while. We don t have the best of jobs but we are able to afford a place. My mother is always nagging me and telling me what to do I am tired of it, I feel like I don t get to rest on the weekends because I m always cleaning. She has called me a bad mother before it s really hard living with her. The advantages are that I don t have to pay for rent or bills and I get to save up money. Posted: 23 Sep 2016 03:57 AM PDT So I'm 14 and I'm an only child, or I thought I was until last year when I found out I had a half brother from my dads side. He is 30, so I'm literally half his age. It wasn't until last week I started doing some digging on websites like Whitepages and found out things like his full name, address, phone number, etc. you know, the stalker essentials. i found his Facebook along with his Moms and sisters profile, sounds really creepy if you think about it to much 😂. He doesn't know I exist since the last time my dad was in contact with him was before I was born, ever since then we haven't heard anything. My mom told me the story, since it's a reallly touchy subject for my dad. What I want to know is what would you do? I'm really stuck, because from the looks of it my brother already has a family. He has a mom, sister, niece, and a brother in law, I don't want to be stepping on anybody's toes. Should I try to get in contact with him? Or just leave things as it is?? I don't think he holds to much resentment because he kept our dads last name, his name at birth. So what should I do? |
Question: My mom keeps going through my phone?!!? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 03:23 AM PDT Every night my mom takes my phone and you know how on iphone you can double click the home button to see your recent apps, well i always clear that before i go to sleep then when i wake up i always see that instagram, kik, and my photos are open!!! i'm a good kid and i'm pretty sure that she trusts me... i honestly just think that she's being nosy. i've told her in the past to please not go through my photos at least because she didn't buy the phone nor does she pay the bill, i do. it's very frustrating because i want my privacy too.. i'm a 17 year old girl and i've never even had a serious relationship so idk what her deal is!!! I think i'm going to ask her so please not go through my phone again and if she doesn't i'm just going to log out of all of my apps because i'm tired of it.. 😕 |
Question: I want to get a video game but im afraid to ask my parents. What should I do? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 02:35 AM PDT I'm always afraid to ask my parents for things because im afraid of hearing "no". Usually they say no because my mom has to give back the bank a lot of money and my dad because he hates spending By hates, I mean absolutely hates. I really want it and i dont know what to do. Question: Is there something wrong with my mom? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 02:32 AM PDT I am a 20 year old guy and live with my single mother(via anonomous sperm donor). She is a buisiness women, and a self-made millionare and I will inherit her money, and I dont ever have to work. The only condition is that I have to spend time around her. Whats humiliating is the size difference my mom is very tall standing 6'7 weighing around 280 pounds, but I ended up much smaller standing only 5'3 weighing 110 pounds. She makes me go on vacations with her and she posts all these pictures of the 2 of us doing all types of poses such as one where i sit on her lap or others where we tightly hugging eachother on the beach in out bathing suits.. She also takes me as her "date" to formal events. She also has me sleep in the same bed as her and even take showers with her on occasion |
Question: Help I'm freaking out?!?!!!? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 01:26 AM PDT my mom who was intoxicated got out of the shower and walked around the house naked and I'm freaking out Because I didn't plan on seeing my own mothers breasts or anything what if she's like mad at me for looking?!?!?? |
Question: Long story ahead. Anxious for help? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 01:20 AM PDT Long story ahead but if anyone can help with advice i'll greatly appreciate it So yesterday my sister entered one of her B moods. Its when she and a guy argues over the phone, she'll take it out on everyone else. So i get there, sat my phone down and went to the bathroom. I came out and my niece (her daughter) was playing on my phone and i scolded her. Then my sister says niece can do whatever she wants, niece didnt come out of my P. Now this is where i get pissed becuase i have a very very soft voice and people often mistake me as a women on the phone. So i get pissed when i get related to a woman in any way. Kinda like calling a short guy short. So when my sister said miranda didnt come out of my P, i got soo pissed. We started arguing and she called me a *******. I've never even touched a woman before. So to call me that baffled me. What does that term even mean? So my 2 questions are 1. How can i make my voice deeper? 2. What does ******* mean? That censored word is f u c k b o y |
Question: I need deeper insight on my mother in law? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 01:15 AM PDT I live with my boyfriends mom and family. Today, she went into my room snooping, and she found my vibrator. She then proceeded to take a picture of it, text my boyfriend and I demanding an answer to what it is and why it was in her house, and then cussing at us. She then said things about it being disrespectful. Yet she lets her kids bring drugs and booze home. I'm 19, I'm mature, and I calmly explained my bf and I are abstinent, and this is a healthy and normal alternative for me and I was sorry that she had to see it, as I always leave my room closed and tidy, so she had to have looked for it or for something else and found it. So she ordered me out of the house and kicked me out. Anyways, ny boyfriend has hit me twice, I told her about the physical abuse and she got mad at ME. She got mad that she was being bothered, that I was being a little ***** about it, for stressing her son out, etc. I am frustrated, but I respect that it's her house. I just wonder, if anyone can provide clarity as to what her point of view is. I said sorry and she said sorry won't cut it and she never wants to see me again. I feel violated . So can anyone out there advise me what to do moving forward? And maybe explain why she handles things the way she does? She says I'm great and respectful one minute and next minute she hates me for nothing. Help |
Posted: 23 Sep 2016 01:05 AM PDT I moved out of my dads house because I was uncomfortable because he touched my boobs and butt a lot, and always said weird stuff to me (sexual). I live with my boyfriend now, and my dads wife (stepmom) and my dad is calling me a liar because "I made a lie saying my dad touched me". My stepmom was never around when he did it or he would wait til she turned around to do something. And my stepmom said "I lost all her trust". So everyone on my dads side and step moms side of family is calling me a liar. Idk what to do. My dad and stepmom also blocked me on social media. I got a new phone so they don't have my number right now. It's been about 3 months since I moved out. And I haven't heard a word from anyone besides my brothers. Should I at least try to talk to them? Maybe my dad? What if they never talk to me again? |
Posted: 23 Sep 2016 12:06 AM PDT this actually pisses me off because then i have to watch what i'm saying in order to keep people from assuming things, because they don't understand that i can say it calmly, which if i did say it calmly they wont notice it because they're too busy assuming that i'm pissed because i insulted them or what not, because they don't understand that i can say it calmly or not at all, how can i trust what someone says about my emotions, now i am not saying that i'm calm, i'm just asking why do i have to watch every word i say just to keep people from assuming things because they can't help but assume things |
Question: How to deal with a racist family? Posted: 23 Sep 2016 12:05 AM PDT My dad hates Muslims and there families and my aunts and uncles on my moms side hates Mexican immigrants (despite the fact that most of my moms side are Asian immigrants themselves) |
Question: What could this mean? Posted: 22 Sep 2016 11:39 PM PDT So when my mom was pregnant with me she used to live with my grandparents, my grandparents used to live a small town with dirt roads and barely any street lights. Everyone in that town knew each other very well, also most of my mom's uncles and aunt lived there as well. One night she was barely 6 months pregnant(with me), she went out for a walk she was feeling uneasy this was around 3 in the morning ( I know what you're thinking, who goes out for a walk at that time when you're pregnant right?!) and she decide to walk a block from the house down when suddenly she saw a figure coming towards her (keep in mind everyone is friendly and they know each other so she wasn't scared) and she recognized him, it was her uncle and so she was saying hi to him but no reply he just kept going towards her and she was uneasy and started yelling his name he wouldn't listen and no reponse, then he got close at this point my mom was trying to scream she said she was screaming her lungs out but it seemed like she wasn't then the figure grab her belly and she felt a burning sensation on the womb and then she dropped to the floor crying then the dark figure disappear, she was crying non stop then my grandpa heard her crying somehow and went to tend her and asked what happened? My mom told him about the figure and how it looked like her uncle and my grandpa said you're uncle has been in the city this whole month and doesn't come back until next week. |

Question: Is it okay for my daughter to be the youngest of her group? Posted: 22 Sep 2016 10:30 PM PDT My 14 year old is the youngest of her group of friends which they used to call a "squad" when they were younger. She's been hanging out with these older girls since she was 7 and now they are around 19 or 20. Should I be concerned that since they all turned 19 they're all adults now? None of them are family members and I worry they may drink at some point because you can legally buy cigarettes and wine at 19 in Canada. I was worried that she'd be exposed to puberty and sex related topics when she was around 2nd grade and she was hanging out with tween girls. Should I keep letting her? |
