Question: As a bride, what would be a good wedding afterparty dress for an outdoor camping wedding? Posted: 20 Sep 2016 08:04 AM PDT My wedding is an outdoor Woodstock themed wedding in 3 weeks and I can't wait. My wedding dress is beautiful and I'll wear it as long as I can! But I definitely will need to change when it's time for things like a bon fire, afterparty etc. because the last thing I want to do is ruin the dress which I paid so much for. I still want to be the Belle of the ball but comfortable for the afterparty is pretty important too. I mean you only get so many opportunities to dress up as an adult. lol The wedding is 10/8. Need afterparty dress! Maybe I could just wear an animal onesie? That may be my option if I don't find something soon. Haha I forgot to add an important detail. It's supposed to be in the 70-80 degreeish temperature and not rain (Knock on wood) weather wise where we live and are hosting the wedding. I'm cold natured though. So don't let that fool you. |
Question: My daughter won't include me in her wedding party? Posted: 20 Sep 2016 06:52 AM PDT My daughter isn't getting married until March and she already has her MOH and Bridesmaids picked out. I was saddened to learn that I am not one of her bridesmaid. My son got married this past May and had his father, also my husband in his wedding party so why can't my daughter include me in hers. I told my daughter that I might not attend her wedding unless she includes me in her wedding. My husband is mad at me because he thinks I'm being a selfish baby. But it's so unfair that he got to be inn our son's wedding party while I'm out in the cold for our daughter's wedding. Should I confront my daughter and tell her how I really feel? I really want to be standing at the altar with her. |
Posted: 20 Sep 2016 04:48 AM PDT Of course I am not going to say anything but I feel offended. They had my parents and my sister but not me. My sister sees them more often but I am the only family member not asked. The wedding is around Thanksgiving. It is a large wedding I assume based on how this family is and we all went when their son got married. So while of course I am not going to say anything and will still be just as pleasant to these people, how do I get over this feeling bummed? |
Question: Your thoughts on the engagement ring? Posted: 20 Sep 2016 03:17 AM PDT The smaller diamonds are .3ct. The center is cubic and I'll put a 1.5ct diamond in after saving. We've been together for 5 years and she doenst want me to break the bank and spend over a grand. This ring is 2500. |
Posted: 20 Sep 2016 02:11 AM PDT Every time I see questions about wedding budgets, I cringe when I see the amount of money that couples are willing to spend on just one day out of their entire lives. When my husband and I were planning our wedding, we decided to not spend more than $1,000 of our hard earned money on our wedding, reception, and honeymoon. We actually spent just a little over $700 for everything. It was a great day, and we didn't to go into debt for our wedding, reception and honeymoon. What do you think? We've been very happily married since 2001. My husband is retired Navy, and I am going to school to be a medical office professional. The only 'debt' we have is our mortgage. Everything else we own is 100% paid off. |
