So I have had this dream since I was a kid to visit japan because of the culture... Or visit my father in philippines who married and moved there to live and I haven't been able to see him for 3 years but we do skype every week but it's still not the same. He doesn't have a house in our homecountry or place to live anymore and I live in an apartment alone. My gf lives with her parents because I only want her to move in when she graduates/ has a job. (sorry) I'm in a relationship for 2 years now and I wanna travel if only for 2 weeks but everytime I bring it up she just says no, or becomes angry. I asked her about other destinations and she'll respond a little better like for example spain etc.. It's not that she hates asia but she thinks I'd hook up randomly with asian women somehow.. I tried to tell her that there would be very low chance of a japanese lady even wanting that and that they're classy and not like that.. but she just doesn't trust or want me to.. and philippines is definetely not ok for her.. What can I do to let her change her mind so for once in my life I can go fullfill my dream and actually explore the world?

My Husband and I only have one neighbor where we live. We moved in shortly after Laura had Krista who is seven. They also have a baby not yet a year old which is the reason we seen this. My dad doesnt let me spend my money on food from outside and he doesnt bring me food or let me go out he just makes food for me and when he makes it his hands are dirty and he doesnt wash them. Ok so look I've been saving up money for a while for a really cool aquarium I've saved up 150 and the tank cost 250. One of my parents can go from being calm, and completely ok, to picking needless fights and screaming on the top of her lungs, cursing, spitting, and stomping the ground, within a period of two hours. Often this parent likes to see themselves as a victim of being unappreciated, and disrespected in every situation, from friends, boyfriends, parents, siblings, ect. And even actions such as cleaning the house, maintaining the house, or doing what the parent says cannot console them. I wanted to know if these are signs of bipolar or a emotional disorder. Today a few hours ago me and my mother had a fight, not an argument, but a physical confrontation. It's all due to this whole summer of us going back and forth at each other throats. If it's not the way i do stuff arounf the house, its how i carry myself or what i do or say, and if it isn't that it's how she feel about how we talk to each other. and IF THAT ISNT IT, its about how i find my brother annoying, a hand full, and how i don't want to be be bothered by him constantly. Today was an explosion of all things as it turned from a tense yelling match back and forth, to her putting her hands on me first, punching, pushing, grabbing at me and pulling my hair. She also called me a fat wh0r3 over top of my crying and screaming. I did in self defense push and kick her and tried to fight my way of the door because she was blocking it while fighting me. Once I forced myself out of the door, she pulled my hair and threw me out the doorway and hit me while i was on the ground telling me "to never f--ing come back". MInd that i had no shoes, only my cell phone and my ID. Now I'm safe at my boyfriend's house after i called for him to pick me up and I'm unsure of what i should do. I'm afraid of getting the police involved because I don't want to put anybody through a huge investigation and risk of loosing my little brother, but I refuse to go back home after that. Should I get a restraining order or should the police really get involved? I am 18 years of age Again I didn't start, she hit me first and I blocked it with a push. My father and I have a really rocky relationship. We've been talking again for the past 2 years (after not talking for 5 years) and our family history is just sad. He lives in NJ and I live in CA. I got married in July and he didn't come to my wedding. He basically made up a medical excuse that sounded really bogus 3 weeks before. I didn't say anything, because I really wanted a happy day. Anyway, he sent me a check for $500 with a card with almost nothing written inside. He's dodged all parental responsibility since I was 13 years old, so this is really hard to accept. Compounded with the hurt of him not coming, I really don't want this gift. So now it's been like 7 weeks that I haven't cashed the check. We've only talked a few times but now we're both not calling each other and I think he's angry I haven't cashed it. What should I do? Should I tell him it's too generous and I feel bad taking it? Should I cash it without saying anything now and just donate it to charity? I feel like now after waiting so long that I should give some sort of heads up before I deposit it, but I don't want to talk about it. I really don't want the money, but I want the path of least confrontation. I also don't want to accept it because I don't want him patting himself on the back about how much he gave us. The wedding was $20,000 and he didn't even ask if he could help in any way during the process.. even like buy cocktail napkins, make a few phone calls for us, emotional support! Nothing! Not by talking in person, but by dumb pictures and texts about theirself. He's a very selfish person. He has struggled with depression and things in the past, but it doesn't excuse the horrible way they treated me growing up. They're very childish and irrational. When I was younger (6-11)I remember my dad used to get very angry if mine or my sisters room was a little messy, and he'd throw everything around and yell while doing it. When he yells he says things like "you worthless wh*re, can't do anything right" or "stupid f***ing b*tch" or just a mix of insulting bad words. He would throw everything and destroy our rooms even if it the mess before wasn't that bad. Most of the time my mom was at work while it happened, but if she was home she wouldn't really do anything about it. She'd just tell him to call down or "that's enough". I'm 14 now and he doesn't do this as often, but I still get called names from him and picked on by him almost everyday. He makes me feel so worthless sometimes. He tells me things like "you're never gonna graduate why are you still trying" & always has remarks on how much I'm eating or how overweight I look. A couple of months ago, my uncle was over and my dad was drunk and he got mad because I was laughing too much so he came up to me and grabbed & twisted my wrists super tight while shaking not me and yelling at me to stop laughing. I was terrified and immediately started crying because I thought he was going to hurt me. After that he yelled at me to go to my room and not to come out. Last year, during school he woukd always text me things like "I'll **** u up if u leave ur clothes out again" or "ur gonna get it u f***ing *****" and I would start crying in school because I'd be so scared to go home.

I take a film elective at school and I have to create a simple 25-second movie over the weekend. The problem is, my family is WAY too loud and in every single shot I take I can hear them. They're naturally loud, and even after I tell them to be quiet because I'm filming you can still hear them. I have them fighting/yelling, just talking loudly, dropping things constantly, feet stomping, chairs banging, etc. It's really ruining all my shots. I've turned up all the settings on my camera to reduce this sort of noise and even then it's impossible!! I got in a fight with them too because after shooting a 5 SECOND scene for the TWENTY-FIFTH time there was still noise in the background and I got frustrated with them. I need this footage by Monday and I have a LOT of other work to do today and tomorrow. But tonight I have to go to a football game at school because my parents are making me (I'm new) and tomorrow is a birthday dinner, so I'm a bit stuck! Please Help!!

My brother is 26, has no job and lives our grandmother. I am 32, married and have 2 children ages 4 and 6. My grandmother just found pictures that my brother was hiding under his bed of me and our aunt, along with inappropriate pictures of women that he printed off the internet. She confronted him and asked him why he was hiding the pictures of my aunt and I, and he just gave a lame excuse that he was testing out the printer. The thing is, this is not the first time my brother has been caught in something like this. Back when he was a teenager, I found pictures hiding in his room of other girls and of me. (the pictures of me were ones I had taken of myself that were meant for my deployed husband at the time...these pics were meant to be sexy and cute but were fairly innocent). I have also found my underwear in my brothers drawers when he was a teen. I'm 17, 6'1 and 175 pounds. I have a little brother who's 11 and is in 5th grade. Last week, he was complaining that a bully at school and his friends were making fun of him and pushing him around. At first I thought it was just kids being kids and joking around, but he came home on Thursday with a bruise on his arm. I decided to drive him to school on Friday to see what was going on, and I walked him up to the door. The kids were hanging out by their front of the school, and I told him to just walk past and ignore them. But then they started following him and harassing him about whatever. I walked up to the kids and told them to leave him alone. They ignored me, until I pushed him away and told him to knock it off. The kid said "you don't even know him, why do you care!" and I said he was my brother, so they said to my brother, "your older brother has to fight your battles, loser!" and pushed him down. I finally lost it and slammed the kid in the face as hard as I could. He didn't bother my brother, but I'm worried I could be in trouble.

I just recently started learning how to cook about 4 or 5 months ago and my skills have been getting better as the days so by. I've been watching YouTube, reading cook books and everything to learn how to make tasty food. I just figured out that you can make your food stretch a lot longer if you cooked opposed to eating out. It's a lot cheaper. I often times cook for the family and my mom acts like she hates it. Basically my Dad is a d#$k he shoves me when he gets mad, he threatens me. When I do something like come home a few minutes late he calls me immature and curses me out, and then tries to get physical with me, he first hot me when I was 18 before I went to school and I called him out on it and he tried to fight me when I did that. My 1 year old is in the hospital because she has bronchiolitis she caught a cold from my 4 year old daughter which she is in Pre K. But anyways my 1 year old has been in the hospital for 3 days now because of complications with breathing. She is doing so much better than she was when she got here. It's a lot of mucus that she is congested with and she is in Intensive Care Unit. Okay my issue is that I have two other children at home and dad is super frustrated because he is stuck with them and cannot do anything at all and he chewing me up saying I be so eager to just run out of the door and how pathetic and lazy I am as a mother. So I asked my mom if I could go clothes shopping (I'm a male teenager by the way) and she said that we could go in a week because money is tight. I asked her again and she pushed it to 1 month. My parents are divorced so I know she makes less income than normal but why can't she take my to buy a few t shirts? I know I may sound spoiled or ungrateful, but she hasn't bought me any new clothes for about 9 months and when I need clothes I always have to ask my dad. My mom says that she can't afford it right now, but yet she spends money on so many unnecessary things. These include spray tans, hair coloring, and what makes me the most mad are these trips to mexico with my soon to be step dad. Me and my brother never get to go on these vacations, yet my soon to be stepdads kids go on everyone. She always pays for her flight and rooms, and I'm starting to actually wonder if this is why I can't have a couple items of clothing purchased. My parents are both divorced and They have separate houses. My grandma moved into my dads house like 5 years ago. And my mom remarried to some other guy. I hate both houses because my grandma is always yelling at me its so stressful so I go to my moms to get away from her and when i go to my moms her husband is always disrespectful to me. I don't like talking most of the time and if I am talking to someone it is because I really like there presence. I hate talking to my dad, my grandma, pretty much my whole family I don't know why.
