Question: How do I make friends after college? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 05:29 PM PDT I'm 22 years old, just started a full-time job (no young people my age work there) and all my friends from college moved away. It's extremely depressing & I'm not sure how I'm supposed to meet people. Advice? |
Question: Im a girl and this girl i just met asked my number, weird? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 05:28 PM PDT ok so while waiting for the bart this girl happened to be waiting too because theres been a problem with the sign. since we are like stuck together until we get to our destination we started chatting and stuff. she was nice but after we got off she asked for my number. i did not know what to say so i just gave it to her. honestly i barely know her and she sent me a text if we can have lunch sometime. i feel kinda uncomfortable because we wont even have chances to see each other since we have separate lives so asking me for lunch coming from a stranger is weird. shes probably the same age as me. i feel bad since i kinda wanna block her. she has friends too so why bother with a stranger u just met? should i block her? |

Question: Nobody likes me at school? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 04:59 PM PDT Im a 6th grader female and ive been in school 2 months. At first i THOUGHT i made a few friends in the beginning of school. One girl always looked up to me. But only for a week. She started to move on from me. She hangs out with popular girls and never talks to me anymore. Aswell as this boy. From the start of school we where good friends. Until he started to call me fat, ugly, crazy, weird. I stopped talking to him. Yet he still goes behind my back and says stuff about me thats not true. Even with my elementary friends. One of my friends from elementary is pure torture. She does nothing but criticize me every day. Saying how popular and pretty she is, and She calls me fat, ugly, untalented, stupid, slut, whore. She even slaps me and grips me very hard. She's saying stuff like "I am wayyy more popular than you" "amber, i wish you where talented!" "god, amber! You're getting fat!" "that shirt is very ugly" "people love me!" yeah... She says that kind of stuff. Makes me feel really bad. Also another friend of mine stopped talking to me because she has bad anger problems and she does nothing but bully people. So yeah, i just wanted to share this and if anyone wants to suggest somthing i should do about this it would be nice. |
Question: Jealousy is costing us our friendship need advice!? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 04:51 PM PDT My friend and I have been really good friends for almost 4 years now. But recently about a year ago I've felt myself always getting really jealous towards him if I feel he is better then me. This always ends up in stupid arguments with each other that last an hour or so. I've tried to just completely end the friendship because it just hurts to much for me to deal with it but he always brings up he's going to commit suicide if I do that. I really need some advice anything would be appreciated to help save our friendship. |
Question: Do you only talk to a person now because they're the only "friend" you have? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 04:18 PM PDT I sometimes feel like I only talk to my "best friend" because they're the only person I talk to. Is anyone else in this situation or was in this situation? |

Thanks. |
Question: No friends in science class? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 04:12 PM PDT I sit next to this mean popular b***h and everyone has their friend "groups" and I don't fit in any of them. |
Question: My best friend started ignoring me and I need help? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 04:05 PM PDT We were at the mall a few days ago with my friends and we had to use the bathroom but two of them didn't. So we when we came back out they were missing. I was super worried and we looked everywhere and tried to call but we couldn't find them. Finally we found them at a clothing store and they started laughing because they saw how worried we were. So one of them apologizes but my best friend didn't. Later she asked me if I was mad so I said "kinda but only because you tried to make it a joke" and after explaining that I wasn't mad anymore she just said "fine" and walked away. She's been ignoring me for two days now but no one else. Whenever I try talking to her she walks away. So later I texted her saying that I was really sorry for telling her I was mad and hopefully we can still be friends but she looked at it and didn't say anything. I don't get it. I've been crying for a long time please help. I want my best friend back. |
Question: What is considered a toxic friend ? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 04:05 PM PDT I have friends and their mean to other people because they say everyone is fake and they are "real ones" and they make me feel like I'm dumb when I'm being myself now I feel like I can't be myself around them |
Question: Anyone want to be friends? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 03:51 PM PDT My name is Jess. I love dank memes, our lord and savior Harambe, and long walks on the beach. Give me your Instagram/other social media so we can talk! (i promise I'm not a weirdo) |

Posted: 26 Sep 2016 03:33 PM PDT Okay so my friend from a different school decided to prank one of my friends from my school and just put random music in the background. We didn't say or do anything threatening but she decided to tell our school guidance councillor and the vice principal! I used my friend's phone that goes to a different school. Will i get caught, should i be scared? |

Question: My friend is seems severely depressed and I'm worried about him :( what should I do? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 03:24 PM PDT My friend, let's call him L, has been acting very depressed ever since school started. Most people see me as a very optimistic person so I try to cheer him up but it's not working... His parents are divorced and he's been telling people that their life is gonna end soon, and that everything ends. This is really not his character, he's usually a happy-go-lucky kid. What should I know about this? What should I say or do? |
Question: Is my friend right about me? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 03:23 PM PDT My friend text me like once every 3 days, and I never reply to him until he text me at least 2-3 times. I am teaching him how to be persistent in texting. Following up is very important to getting a job for an employer. He claims that I don't want to be as close to him and don't value him as a friend. I always told him that I like him as a friend and will always want to be his friend, but he never believes me. 1. How come my friend doesn't believe me that I want to be his friend still? 2. Am I being a bad friend towards him? 3. Why is my friend so sensitive? I am teaching him how to be persistent, because being persistent is the key to being successful in life. 4. If you were my friend, would you think I am a bad friend? |

Question: How do I make friends in college? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 03:17 PM PDT I just entered my sophomore year of college in NYC and I'm having trouble making friends. In most of my classes, people already know each other and I don't wanna butt in and just casually start talking to them... Also in my dorm, everyone's doors are closed and they're all doing their own things... My roommate is also a senior and she is also almost always busy... Which leads me to go home every weekend.. I am joining some clubs and planning to join a sorority. It just sucks that I don't have that one friend I can rely on/do everything with. I feel like it will be like this until I graduate and I just don't know how to fix it. Everyone has already found their own 'groups' and I'm just here eating lunch alone in my dorm. |
Question: Poll: do you hate yourself? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 03:17 PM PDT Yes I hate myself if 100 is top I'm like -1000 |
Question: I heard my friend's parents having sex and they turned me on... Normal or not? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 03:03 PM PDT So, me and a group of friends went for a graduation trip to Canada and we stayed at some friend's mom (female) house. She lives w her dad at NY. We were 4, 3 girls (I'm a female) and a boy. Her parents (mom and stepdad) have money and a giant house, so they could have all of us there. We are all 18... Everything was cool, and we had fun, we were there for two weeks and the 4th day there we got home late and everyone went to their rooms. My room was by the side of their room... when I tried to go to sleep all I heard was wild sex and massive moaning, I heard the bed moving (u know) and massive sexual language. I tried to keep it normal and think "hey, they are just doing normal stuff. It's not nasty they're on their 40s" and all of that. But they kept going and it turned me on. So, since I couldn't sleep by the noise I started masturbating and it was good! I'm a virgin, but I enjoy porn.. so I did it, they kept going for like an hour straight and I was there enjoying it. I was confused, but at the same time I was thinking that they shouldn't have done it, because there were guests at the house. But I also think, they didn't know we were there already or whatever. The thing is that they're my friend's mom and step-dad, which makes it weird... so I don't know if it was normal for me to feel pleasure or not. |
Posted: 26 Sep 2016 02:44 PM PDT And don't judge me for meeting up with an online friend, we have talked for a few years. It's totally safe. Plus my dad is coming with me |
Question: Was is so strange about rejecting company? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 02:26 PM PDT I love going out alone, eating alone, seeing movies alone, vacationing alone. I'm a single 40 year old guy, no friends, busy family members, no social life. Not that I care. Growing up I just felt people were a burden or got in my way. Going places with others felt like locking lead weights around my legs and dragging them around wherever I went. I know it's part of being in a group, but I just get more satisfaction doing my own thing my own way. People think it's weird that I refuse company and call me a longer or an arrogant asshole for it. What is so wrong about being alone anyways? People are just trouble anyways. Too much drama and talking. |
Question: Sneaking out of apartment in Paris...Help? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 02:24 PM PDT I'm planning on sneaking out next month and I can't sneak out through the front door cause it makes too mich noise. I was thinking the window but I live 3 floors up. There's a balcony one floor down then I can lower myself using my arms and then drop. What are the chances of me getting hurt and is it a good idea? Once I lower myself to that point, I think I'll have about 10 feet under me. |
Question: Is she interested? (Read details- 10 points!)? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 02:23 PM PDT I recently went to minigolf and dinner with a friend I'm interested in the other day. I saw it as a date, but I don't think she did, as evidence by these actions. She wasn't super dressed up, and told me how I didn't have to pay for her when I did for golf. At dinner, she refused to let me pay and even made me let her pay for both of us since I'd paid for our last meal. During our dinner conversation about doing travels before having a family, I said how college age is the perfect time for us to do all that, and she said how "that's why I'm not looking for anything right now, so I can live my life." I believe her when she says that, but was there a motive behind her actions? We've talked since and later that night she said we should hang out again soon, so there's at least something. Or was the paying just showing she's independent and that she values me? Is she interested or just being nice? |
Question: How to become a closer friend to an acquaintance without overwhelming them? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 02:11 PM PDT I am trying to get closer to an acquaintance, but I don t know how. We would text, but I ve never actually hanged out with the person. I told them to let me know when they re free to hang out and they said they will. I don t want to keep texting because I might sound too overwhelming or clingy. So what do I do? We do not have any friends in common. |
Question: I don't want to be his friend anymore? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 02:01 PM PDT Warning: This is long. So I have this "friend" who acts like a baby all the time. We have known each other for 5 years. I'm 15 and he is 14. He is the most ignorant person I've ever met and he always gives me the worst advice. If I don't take his side, he gets p*ssed off at me, even if what he says is not true. He blocks me for a week every time we get into an argument. What kind of a friendship is that? He used to be cool when we were like 12-13 and maybe 14, but now he is just becoming a d*ck. Now during an argument we had a couple days ago, he said that the reason this pretty girl rejected me to homecoming was because I'm ugly. Dude, my he doesn't even have eyebrows! And he calls me ugly? He weighs 248 lbs (obese), he has fat rolls and man boobs. He is like 6'0 tall. I'm about 5'6, 124 lbs (a little chubby) and unlike him, you can talk to me like a normal human being. My real friends want nothing to do with him, and now I don't. He acts likes a child when he doesn't get his way. He makes his mom pay for everything, and he treats her like ****. He always cuts me off when I try to correct him. Now get this: He told me that my dad is a f*g because he doesn't allow wrestling in our house. Well, I'm sorry that we are normal human beings and not a fat f*cking ape like you are. I should've said that, too. Every time I hang out with him on a special occasion, he gets wild, acts like an a*shole, and of course, wants to wrestle. Should I just stop talking to his b*tch a*s? |
Question: B*tches in my class? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 01:58 PM PDT I'm in grade 8, 12, almost 13 and I have friends, never been really bullied but, this year in my class, there's a group of bi*ches who annoy the hell outta me. They don't really do anything bad to me and are not mean to me, but their bluntness annoys me. They expect me to do stuff for them like 'Charlotte, can you throw this in the recycle bin?" or 'Charlotte, bring your pencil crayons tomorrow, okay?" Like no, I ain't gonna bring it. And they're so mean to my friend, Jessica. One of the girls, Nicki, spreads rumors about her and doesn't even want to sit by her. She's mean to Jessica all the time. Nicki's nice to me, but not to Jess. Almost all of their group hates Jessica and I don't know why. She's a good friend of mine. Today, we were playing soccer in gym and they were like 'We don't want Jessica in our team'. The ones I hate the most are Brianna, Natasha and Shelly. Even though they're not mean to me, they got attitude and they are really mean to Jessica. Everyone, apart from my for other friends, is mean to Jess. This guy, Carter, who was in my class last year as well, calls her 'double chin'. Me and Carter have friendly arguments but he's taking it too far with Jess. It's making me think as if I made the wrong choice befriending Jess? I know I didn't but it makes me think that. Jess likes this guy Antoine in our class but he doesnt like her back. Anyway, Nicki told the whole class about it and got Jess to admit that she likes him. She was so embarrassed. what do I do? TBH I like the guys in my class better than the girls. At least they're not jerks. I mean I have friendly arguments with them but they don't take it too far. 4 other friends* Everyone apart from me, Jeremy, Allie, Jordan and Kelly is mean to Jess. I don't do what they ask me to anymore. It's just really annoying. All of them. Also, Nicki, who's nice to me, Allie and kinda nice to Kelly, made Kelly get up from her spot because she (Nicki) wanted to sit there and so, Kelly just had to stand. I asked Kelly to tell Nicki to get up because she wanted to sit down but she was a bit too scared for that. |
Question: AM I A HORRIBLE PERSON?? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 01:43 PM PDT Im a college freshman girl, we went to the club one night. I had 2 long islands. I am not a frequent drinker. I also hadn t drinken any water for 2 days. I got very drunk, and then my friends and I went back to the dorms. I was becoming very unresponsive and started to throw up. My friends wanted tot are me to a health center but the only thing open was the hospital and so they called an ambulance so that I wouldn t get in trouble for drinking. I went to the hospital and they put some IV s in me because I was very dehydrated and then I went back to my dorm and slept. I woke up the next morning feeling like the worlds worst person. (Not hungover but just embarrassed). Am I a horrible person? I know the situation could have been way worse and I was lucky, but should I feel the need to transfer? I told my parents about what happened. |
Question: Does this make sense? Help fill in the blank? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 01:39 PM PDT It is a cold, cruel world, yet if we choose to _____ in what the good life has to offer then nothing may surpass the true beauty that lay on this Earth." |

Question: How to dump a toxic friend? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 01:27 PM PDT Theres this girl let's call her Sara. I have these 2 really close friends let's call them Jane and Amy. Jane Amy and I are all friends and did a sport together and Sara happened to be in this sport. Amy and Sara began to become really tight with Sara. Sara is very rude to me, but plays off her comments as Jokes. Sara invited me to her house for homecoming pictures and I thought it was a branch to becoming friendlier so I went. after homecoming we were chatting and she said that the only reason she invited me to her house was cause of Jane and Amy being my close friends. Of course she said this in her "kidding but not really" tone. And she is always being rude or stealing my Other friends too, right in the middle of a conversation. And now Jane and Amy are hanging out with her a lot and Sara talks about them hanging out especially more when Im around. Im stil close with Jane and Amy but i dont know if i can deal with this toxic friend. Ideas? How can i get her out of my life or at least be nicer to me |
Question: Should I keep quiet about this? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 01:26 PM PDT My bestie just spent the entire weekend with me & a group. On Friday night we had a few drinks in the bar, then headed back to our room. On the way there, we stopped by one of the rooms where a group member was staying. We listened, heard voices, then my friend pushed the door open. There were quite a few people in there, drinking, laughing, etc..& it was quite loud. We were offered drinks. I declined..but my friend continued drinking even after downing 5 rye & coke. She drank a couple of shots, then something in a can. She was talking very loudly, almost screeched when she talked, & laughed very loudly. After about 10 min. I said goodnight to everyone & went back to our room. About 1/2hr later she came in & wasn't quiet. No matter, I wasn't asleep. To my amazement, she wasn't acting like she was in the other room. It was almost as though she wasn't drunk, but I knew she was. To be quite honest, I felt embarrassed while we were in the other room, & this isn't the first time this has happened. I don't know those other people extremely well, except that we're members of a singing group. My friend is not a member..just came along as my guest, but she has done this before, & they seem to like her very much. Should I keep quiet about this, or should I speak with her about it. I made it very clear to her that I'd never want a bunch of people in my room partying, & she said the same thing, yet she'll go into another room & do exactly that. |

Question: Why is High School so horrible? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 01:08 PM PDT Everyone says that high school is so much better than middle school, not as many people are petty and you make some really good friends. Yet I'm sitting here, doing all my work for all my classes, I've tried to make friends but they literally just stare at me, most people have never had to move so they think it's insane that I moved here. I move a lot and I'm in a military family. I've made a bunch of enemies for standing up for someone and apparently being really pale and having red hair bothers some people. I don't mind the rudeness but I've decided to just focus on academics and give up on friends. Is it just me or you always think life can't get worse when you move but it always does? |
Posted: 26 Sep 2016 12:52 PM PDT i'm a very clean person, my roommate is sleeping and he brought a friend over who is sleeping too, the room and apartment is a mess, i don't like cleaning unless i'm the only one there.. and i have to study and complete my hw for school tomorrow but it really irritates me how messy the apartment is. I think my roommate friend is going to stay for today or when my roommate leaves to work which is 8 p.m |
Question: Should I leave my home to pursue my dream? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 12:44 PM PDT I'm 21 and I still live at home. My dream is to become a famous singer/entertainer. I have plans for myself to achieve this dream, but I personally feel like I won't make any progress in my dream if I'm still living at home. I have curfews and limits still at home. So should I leave my home?? |
Question: I am not able to express emotions to others?!? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 12:37 PM PDT I think this is because of all the abuse I've faced by my family in the past. I feel emotions, I really do. I cry when alone, I laugh with myself watching videos, and sometimes with others. But other than that, there's pretty much a blank expression on my face. My parent gets abusive, I tell myself to stay strong I look em right in the eye. Someone else tells to that they are dissapointed in me, my face turns blank. I want to express how I'm trying and how sorry I am, it just doesn't work. I always feel like there's something wrong with me mentally, and I do have diagnosed moderate depresson. So might aswell just give up on making friends, and talking to anybody till I get myself fixed. If negative energy is real, why would I want to transfer it to others? If empathy is real why would I ever want anyone to feel how I'm really feeling? |
Question: Nervous about meeting my friend? Question: Poll: How can i get my revenge? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 12:29 PM PDT Back then I had to hang out with a bunch of girls I was overweight and they said bad things about me and when I went to my house they talked to each other and said it smelled and I'm so spoiled. They lowered my self esteem so much. Well 9 years later I am 14 years old and I lost 30 pounds because this week I am going to see them for a little group meeting. I am also a very quiet girl I knew them since I was 5 and stopped seeing them when I was 10 |
Question: How to choose who to live with? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 12:28 PM PDT I'm almost 14 and my (single) mom passed away in Sept. It has been difficult, but I've had a lot of emotional help and I am doing reasonably well. But I need to make a decision of where to live, and it is really difficult. My dad and I have next to no relationship. He left when I was 2 and we have barely had any contact since. He is offering to take me, but I think it would be really awkward, he's never really been in my life, he is remarried with kids of his own, and he hardly sounds excited about me now, more like he is "willing" because it is the right thing to do. The other option is my aunt, who is married to a wonderful man and has 2 daughters I am very close with. She loves me, wants to adopt me, wants to make me part of the family. And I want that too. But she has also been very clear that if I want to live here, that means her treating me the same as she does them, and her discipline does include spankings......only as a last resort, not common, but they do happen, and she isn't willing to negotiate. And right or wrong she is steadfast on this, and my age does not change her opinion. I've never really been spanked (like maybe once when I was little), I'm a total wimp about pain, and this really scares me. I'm a good kid and rarely in trouble, but I'm not crazy enough to think I'll NEVER get in trouble, especially because she is fairly strict (reasonable, but strict). So it really scares me. But so does living with a "father" I don't really know.... Advice??? |
Question: Why do i feel this way and how to fix it? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 12:20 PM PDT Lately I feel like most people around me don't wish me well (for the last 4 years or so). And I don't have any close friends that I would feel real connection. I hate being alone and no one to talk to, but when I am with people (most of those that are around me and I have access to), I am not really enjoying their company because I constantly have a funny feeling that they don't really like me, but they are hanging out with me for some certain reasons: because of work, because they can get something from me or out of me. I know, that I really need to change my job, because the environment here is very toxic. But until I do that, how do I cope with it? |
Question: Need advice what to do with my bullying problem.? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 12:14 PM PDT I am a male currently 16 years old. So to start from the beginning I had many great friends and everybody liked me when I went to kinder garden it was amazing, but every good thing has an end and that end was when I had to go to school a school that had new people I did not know. So since Grade 1 I started to get bullied for reasons I do not know and it lasted to grade 4, I was still little like everybody else because it was a middle school. After those 4 years I had to change schools and go into high school and yet again new people I do not know. And surprise, surprise I started to get bullied yet again by people I DO NOT KNOW, and it lasted 5 years so that's till grade 8 and then I left to a new school where I thought I would get away from bullying. So I was so hyped for this new school, but to my surprise I yet again started to get bullied By People I do not know and it is my second year in this school. Today I am in grade 10 and being bullied everyday. The thing is why I could not defend my self is that In those 3 schools I have been to I always got bullied by groups of people in my class sometimes even the girls ( but the girls only gave me verbal bullying) Yes I did told on the bullies in the 1 school and the 2 about my situation, but that only calmed those bullies down for a few days and then it resumed. |
Question: Hello, English teachers, how is my grammar :')? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 11:52 AM PDT First of all, english is my 5th language. Here is my composed paragraph. My dog in my room I had a dalmatian puppy, whose name was Momoy. I was only a child when my mom bought him from a friend; it cost her about 40 dollars only if money was converted. Momoy was only 6-month old and very active; he would run to and fro wagging his tail; eat voraciously, and play incessantly all the time. We raised him with full of love and in fact, he had a good life. Momoy grew up about 3 feet in just 2 and a half years, still active and knew how to behave well ------ When life was difficult for the family, we realized we wouldn't be able to take care of him properly; so our parents decided to to give him to a close friend, who was willing to adopt him. I cried while looking at his photo in my room. For many years have been passed, every now and then, I still remember the dog in my room. |
Question: Why does he treat me so bad? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 11:51 AM PDT I paid for us to have a nice romantic weekend last week and things were going well for maybe 3 days after. I had gotten the flu and asked him to come take care of me. He agreed, he told me that he'd call me before he left work. He never showed, never called and didn't respond to any of my calls for texts. Then he text me the next morning accusing me of slashing his tires. Then he turns around a apologizes to me for not being there for me while I was sick...why? He has an ex that has embarrassed him in public. Punched him in the face, threw a drink on him, cut up his clothes and left them outside of his apartment and he continues to call her constantly. She has my number and tells me every time he contacts her but he won't call me or answer or return any of my calls. He said that her and I are the two tire slashing suspects he claims that the neighbors have a camera with footage showing him who did it. I've reached out to him all weekend trying to see if he's gotten the results or how things are going with him and he won't respond to my texts or call me back but his ex said that she called him this morning and he talked to her. Why won't he talk to me? Why is he treating me so bad and accusing me when she's done all of these things to him? |

Question: Do I have a right to be choosy who my friends are? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 10:29 AM PDT I am choosy because of my bad experiences with "backstabbers and liars who called themselves my friends." My friends looked down on me saying I'm poor and have no job. I have no job because I don't have a lot of working experiences... |

Question: What do you think about this? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 09:49 AM PDT So in my class theres this guy named john, he never talks to me but he told me I was beautiful one time. I had a feeling he liked me but I just said thank you and let it go. In my class we have a group chat, just for like assignments and stuff that. He messaged me outside of the chat and was just like he didn't know how to approach me so he reached out on here, So I'm like cool , lets text and stuff. As we texted he seemed weird because I was the one that had to keep the conversation going even though he's the on that messaged me. Eventually we stopped texting and he had excuses to why he didn't text me. But anyways fast forward to now, When were in class he won't to speak to me but he will text me. He can sit right next to me and not say a word but will text me. At first i thought he was shy but he talks to other girls and other people. It isn't like he's quiet, he asks questions and speaks his opinion when he wants. So , Can I get your point of view on this? P.S , We are in college Thanks |

However I find it hard to believe because I know he hates her and her class does too....she's a bit of a scardy cat so she wouldn't be able to stand up for herself... the thing is I'm not in her class so I didn't see this for myself.... I'm really worried about her because I know she's a really good person...and well I still care about her and I don't know why...what should I do? we're not friends so I don't expect her to tell me anything... but I'm really worried for her sake... what should I do? Thanks for reading this... |
Question: Jealousy is costing us our friendship need advice!? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 09:09 AM PDT My friend and I have been really good friends for almost 4 years now. |
Question: Is this weird behavior? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 09:00 AM PDT So when I met my college roommate for the first time one of the first things she asked me was whether I went to public or private school. Kind of random thing to ask, but ok... So I said public and she gave me this approving nod. But then when she found out that this is my first time sharing a room with someone and that I had my own room growing up, she seemed super annoyed. Not jealous- just annoyed. Also, she always brings up her financial aid like she's super proud of it and daring someone to say something. I would never judge someone for needing financial aid, but the way she's acting is just kind of weird to me.... |

Question: Should I switch schools? (Please help I need advice)? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 08:44 AM PDT I was home schooled for half of the year last year, because the school I was at was just shitty, one of my teachers was an actual pedophile that just sucked the soul out of his science class, and it was so bad because I love science, but it was just yea. I also got diagnosed with a type of anxiety disorder, so I'm having attacks left and right, and it's always has gotten triggered at school, it could be the school or just a coincidence. Anyway homeschooling was fine but I didn't get to go out much and I don't think it'll be able to go through it again. I do have another choice for a school, it;s a Junior High that my dad works at (my parents are divorced) but it's about 45 minutes away and I think that would be nice to go, with new friends and everything, because I currently really don't like my usual group of friends, which is 4 people. I don't have any other friends that I have enough in common with to hang out with. But I feel like if I go to the new Junior high I would make friends and have fun for that year, but then if I have to go back to my town's highschool I would be really unhappy and just in a bad situation, and if I ever wanted to hang out with those friends it would be difficult. But me making friends there isnt even a guarantee, and I could still have those anxiety attacks I mentioned. So what should I do if I need to do something? |
Question: Dorm Room Protocol? Changing? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 08:31 AM PDT I am a freshman in college and really am at a loss for something that happened today. I share a room with three other girls, and today two of them complained that they've "had to see me naked." I wasn't sure what that meant but they were really on me and acting like I'm all inapropriate. It suddenly dawned on me that they had been going down the hall to change clothes in the restroom stall all semester. I never realized it cause I wasn't paying attention/keeping track. They didn't really tell me I was causing a problem, but they certainly teased me and made me feel very weird. But I think it is ridiculous to expect me to go to the bathroom to change in a dirty toilet stall twice (or three) times a day. I have never (and would never) hung out naked, done homework naked, or anything like that. I wear a robe to the shower and back, etc. Is it really against roommate protocol to simply change your clothes?!? I'm worried I maybe missed something and am one of the "naked people" and just don't realize it. My summer camp growing up had wide open group showers, and I had 3 sisters, so I'm relatively comfortable changing around women (well comfortable is a big word, but it doesn't freak me out). But while I'm not a modest mouse, I am FAR from well here I am!!! Woohoo!! I think I'm reasonably discreet, and actually reasonably modest. But is it really inapropriate to get changed in my own dorm room? I have also (in fairness) dried off after a shower in the dorm room.....but ONLY when there was a line for my shower and I didn't want to keep the next girl waiting while I dried off (so I put my robe on and went back and dried off in my room) Rick----I thought I'd figured it out then they brought it up agin, I;m really at a loss valley cat---does it sound to you like im being discreet enough? I HAVE been nude at times, but briefly, and never like "hanging out" |
