Question: My sister saw me naked? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 01:56 PM PDT I VERY embarrassed about it but I am also happy about it because she said "Nobody will ever call you SHORTY". Is that something not appropriate to say to her brother? |
Question: PROS AND CONS OF WHERE TO LIVE WHEN YOU MOVE OUT FOR UNIVERSITY? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 01:52 PM PDT I need help with a decision. I've lived away from home for two years now for postsecondary. I have experience living with another roommate, alone, and my aunt. I have to move out again for the school year and am seeing the pros/cons of each, because I'm sick with anxiety deciding what to do. Living with roommate: Have to adjust a lot to other people's demands, be overly weary of the dishes you leave in the sink or this and that, have to adjust to other people's schedule (e.g. if they sleep early), etc. Living with aunt: This is the best option so far, but she's weird. She doesn't adjust well. She wants to do whatever she wants and even though she's just trying to help, she messes stuff up. She's also very cheap-minded in terms of money. so she'll crib if she thinks too many GARBAGE BAGS are being used, etc. Causes a botheration. Having family feels nice though. Living alone: Depression and sadness. Even though there may be homework and a T.V. things get very boring and lonely with literally no one all day to talk to or be with. But lots of personal freedom with how I want to wash my dishes, if I can postpone some cleaning, make some noise with music, etc. So I have no idea because once I move, I can't change. :"( |

Question: What to do my dad is talking to another women? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 01:32 PM PDT My mom and dad have been fighting for the last 4 years because my mom thinks he is cheating on her and he always puts the blame on her,and it makes me really sad when i hear her cry after. But for the last 2 days i could hear him talking to another women at 10 pm while my mom is working.Should i confront my dad about it?Because i feel like if i teel my mother about it she will want to break up with him and i really dont want that because love both of them."They have been married for 16 years now".Im currently 16 years old and english is not my native language and i m sorry if you cant understand me |
Posted: 30 Sep 2016 01:15 PM PDT You have to understand that as a 17 year young Latino man mixed up of ever race living in America I'm hopeless. School said I'd be lucky if I live to see the day before 19. I'm tired of feeling like a failure. Nobody picks on me anymore, my stalker's followed me around school a couple times but IDGAF about myself. I've dealt with depression since pre school with zero treatment. If someone I know reads this than FML I'm at least living my truth before I get killed. I'm somewhat in love with the daughter of my blood father's sister who's 21 & has been in a 6 yr relationship. We didn't grow up on the same contintents but she's the only 1 who calms me & her words make me feel wanted. She makes me feel as if my life actually mattered. I say somewhat because how could I fully love someone that way when I suck. My teachers like me, I'm gifted, women like me but I'm not chasing sex. I only want to feel & im almost crying right now cause I'm scared. My parents can't support me & it's on me nobody else. I put myself in a possition that looks promising but I'm geting ready for the hate. I think of suicide. I'm emotionally unstable like the Internet says I am. My blood dad has always made me hate myself. God is my real dad. Somebody's gonna kill me I see it in my dreams every night. Why even care to live. I don't need anyone but I'm sad everyday, Women think I'm sweet men hate me. Just like my mom and blood dad. Before you judge me try hard to love me. I'm misunderstood I mean well |
Question: What can I do with my parents when they come to visit? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 01:02 PM PDT My parents are coming to visit me and I'm not sure what to do with them because they are older and can't do a lot of stuff. They can't do a lot of walking so going to a park, zoo, or museums won't be great choices. The only thing I can think of is going to the movies, or out to interesting restaurants but, that gets old. |
Question: Relative leaves nasty remarks on my Facebook posts? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 12:36 PM PDT I have a relative who has been known to be mentally unstabble. Her son is also creepy and she asked me why I wasn't friends with her son on fb and that speaks volumes. That was a few years ago. She seems to be getting better mentally speaking and apologizes for her behavior. I posted a status saying I was out to dinner with my favorite ladies. I asked their permission before I tagged them In case they had a problem with that. They all said it was okay. So my relative says " So glad to know I'm not one of your favorite ladies" maybe. Then I told her she was one of my favorite ladies. She then responds with " never got the invite". I'm really annoyed with her and want to explain that I don't need to give her an explanation. But I also don't want to cause world war three because she is that unstable. How would you handle this situation? |
Question: What's so bad about what I said?? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 12:36 PM PDT My older sister (17) apparently lost her hair brush and accused me of taking it. She asked me where I hid it and I said I didn't take it(because I honestly didn't). Then, she said, "Give it now, or I'll tell mom." That's when I got super angry and yelled out something that made things worse. "Your hairbrush my ****. Then, that's when she got really angry and kicked me in the balls. It didn't hurt at all, and who cares about that. Now, she's telling my mom when she comes back from work. What's so bad about what I said??? PS: I'm 15 |
Question: What CENTURY was my "JESUS FREAK" ex mother in law living in? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 12:24 PM PDT We had to live with his PARENTS for 6 months b/c he is a loser (found that out LATER). We did NOT have a LOCK on our bedroom door. I am AMAZED she let me husband and I sleep in the same bed. They wouldn't let me drinkuntil I found a weed hookup and just waited til everyone left to get high. NO CABLE b/c it's "Godless". WTF? . Even Beavis and Butthead, South Park and the SIMPSONS were "Godless" so I had to watch them OH YEAH MY soap operas too. NEWS FLASH BUTT BRAIN: You do NOT have to go to "Church" which is FAKE to believe in God . Nobody at church ever wanted to go out on a double date or play pool and get drunk or smoke a joint. Catholics, Mormons, Jews, Jehovah's witnesses are CULTY FREAKS. GO to church and put YOUR MONEY in the collection plate to pay for the PREACHER's new Bentley! |

Posted: 30 Sep 2016 11:16 AM PDT We will see some people who are not family but that is not the same. I am so upset. I know the holidays are a long time from now but my mother said I have to get used to it because this is how they will be now. She hates her siblings so I am missing out. They don't like her either. We used to have a big Christmas with everyone. My grandparents died and now my mother has had a big fight with her siblings as of April of last year (2015). Last year no one asked us over and it was horrible, I wanted to die. I thought things would get better this year but they haven't. My mother's family is big (she has 6 siblings) the rest of her siblings get along and all still get together but I haven't seen them since the fight my mother had with them and I don';t get to see my cousins which is the worst part. I have them on Facebook as I just joined Facebook but it is 5 years until I am out of high school and some of them didnt accept my friends request probably because they dont like me because of my mother and the fight. Sometimes I want to die this makes me so sad but I would never hurt myself because then it would just be my mother and brother. I never had a Dad and so my mother's big extended family meant everything. She doesnt seem to mind I am upset as it just makes her talk of how much she hates her siblings all the more and how much she says they hate her. They fought about money as her siblings felt she was favored by their mother who is dead now (so they fought over a dead person). SO PLEASE HELP, WHAT DO I DO I will ask several times in different sections for good answers. I am dreading the holidays with what my mother calls surgate family (she says substitute) but that is not the same and this family's kids are all in their 30's and NOT REAL FAMILY. I want a real family |
Question: My flat mate won't leave me alone? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 11:13 AM PDT He won't leave me alone and thinks its funny to wind me up. He will switch off the fuse so my light goes off constantly when im studying or doing anything. Today, he kept trying to annoy me and wouldn't leave my room when i was doing my course work for uni I yelled at him and he wouln't leave so I had to drag him out. He said he doesn't care if he ruins my course work etc because it doesn't affect him. I can't stand it, I want it to stop and he won't stop. I want to move out but I am on a contract so I cannot leave. Any ideas? His parents are my parents neighbours so they could speak to his parents thats all i can think of |
Question: I hate my sister and dont care what happens to her? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 10:56 AM PDT My sister is 18 years old and acts like a spoiled little brat. We dont have much money and she knows we dont but she always demands money from my mom and whines and cries and forces my mom to buy her new clothes and stuff when my brother and i dont get any and we're younger than her. She always cusses and calls me a ***** and hits me and digs her nails into my arms until they bleed and spit in my face and call me a ***** for no reason. She smokes weed like a thousand times a day and drinks with her friends and makes me take care of her. She always steals my moms stuff and then sells it back to my mom. Like my mom asked her to hold onto a pair of boots and she wouldnt give them back until my mom gave her $60. She has no job, doesnt go to school and doesnt have a drivers license. She leaves for her boyfriends house and then comes back days later and gets mad when some of the food is gone and screams and yells at us and almost gets us kicked out and gives my mom anxiety. (My mom is already really really sick) she wont clean ANYTHING. she doesnt even know how to do the dishes or mop the floor. Then she steals our hairspray and stuff and hides it away in a box and wont give it back so i never have any. She doesnt take our dog out. My moms pays for her phone (its a monthly plan) and everytime it goes out she screams and cries and makes my mom use our rent money to turn it on while i have to go weeks without phone service. She makes my life horrible and idk what to do.please help :( |
Question: Why would my dad say something like this? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 10:55 AM PDT Ok so my dad and mom got into an argument because my dad returned late from work because he works at night and he spent the rest of the night playing video games and we couldn't sleep. He said if we're not happy he might as well not return. What the hell does it mean anyway? I have exams so I need my sleep. Why would he say something as bizzare as this? |
Question: I don't know what to do...? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 10:50 AM PDT My parents always work late on weekdays and most weekends. When they got home they went to bed right away so they didn't have time to ask us or take care of us.I know my parents are busy at work and i think they really want to spend time with us but their health doesn't allow them to.I feel being left out a little bit and lonely too.Because of their busyness so i can't share my feeling or my problems with them.Sometimes i want they to know my thought who knows they could help me, save me from some situation.Seeing my friends with their parents love, i feel desolate.i wish my parents could spend more time for me.i don't know what to do right now. Could you help me? How can i make them understand all of this? |
Posted: 30 Sep 2016 10:41 AM PDT My stepfather got out of the army and moved us back to our hometown. All our stuff went into storage until we could find a place to live. Stepfather left my mother for some other women, leaving us with a dinky apartment and all our valuable possessions stuck in storage. I do have a job but most I make goes to food and supplies for my sister, little brother, and mother so I'm only able to put 50 or 100 into the storage. Mother can't get a job cause she has a bad back and she takes care of my little brother who has ds. We are constantly afraid that we will never get our items out of storage. Family photos featuring my deceased father , father's burial flag, ect is all going to be stuck in there. The storage service does let you get stuff out but for $20 an hour. My damn stepfather stopped paying the storage without telling us so it's to an amount that we can't pay ourselves. Do you think I could set up a gofundme or something? What do I do? I really don't want my mother to lose my dad's stuff. I don't want to lose what I have left of him. |
Question: DURING YOUR CHILDHOOD, did you get MONETARY allowances. how often and was it much? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 10:41 AM PDT FAMILY THREAD. Life for me was good in the 1990s. My parents made really good money. Dad was a financial branch manager of a large bank back then. He made like 80,000 a year in the 1990s. was in such role for 11 years. 1989-2000. Mom owned her own private accounting firm. Made like 130,000 in the same time frame. both had bachelors and masters in finance and accounting. family was close and got allowances from mom, dad, and sisters. All combined like 2000 a month in the 1990s. |
Question: Shall I go to my dads? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 10:27 AM PDT Shall I go to my dads for a while? I'm 31 I got laid off in November of last year my mom died in December now I don't have my house anymore. I'm staying with my uncle for temporarily as he lives in a retirement home so I can't stay there forever. My aunt and uncle nags me what I should buy what I should eat which can get annoying at times. My uncle wanted me out of my condo which I think I was fine to be in but they were running out of money. Months ago they were talking about group homes I don't think I can handle that the only disabilities I have is im hard of hearing in one ear I have well controlled epilepsy. My dad is the only way away from this. I am considered homeless now my aunt and uncle can't take me they don't have a room. I wished I can make decisions of my own instead of my aunt and uncle deciding for me. |
Posted: 30 Sep 2016 10:12 AM PDT My mother likes to vent to me about how bad she thinks he is. She gets jealous that I like him and bads mouths him even more now that I like him as a teen (as a little kid I just agreed with my mother). I feel kind of bad that I favor my Dad but I do as the more my mother cuts him down the more I like him and the less I like my mother. Not sure how my sister feels but it is how I feel (I am a 16 year old boy). My mother says my Dad likes me more then my sister but I think that is another one of her lies. |
Question: I feel left out and depressed about it? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 10:07 AM PDT My older sister seems to get everything she wants. She goes to a concert like once a month now, seems to get things she asks for so much more than me. we are 2 years apart. I've only been to one concert. You know why? Because of my sister. I only went because we somehow had 1 extra free ticket. So yea I was basically just the extra to that show. She always wins the arguments. And it seems as if my mom favors her. I do not know what to do |
Question: Why would my brother suddenly cut off his family? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 09:36 AM PDT He's married with a kid and a stepkid. Probably has been married for about 12 years or so now. We used to be able to visit him regularly without any issue. He lives about 30 miles away from us. He used to call and ask us when we were coming down to see my nephew. He would typically call us to come down and watch my nephew on a regular basis or when they were taking a trip somewhere. He used to call and want us to visit every month or two at most. However, one time about a year or so ago, he just cut contact for about 4 months. My mother got concerned and went down to his house because he wouldn't return her phones or just take 2 minutes on any day or at any time and call her. Upon arrival, it is 3pm in the afternoon and his wife looks like she just got out of bed. The 5 year old is playing by himself. She texts my brother, who is on his way to work, that we were there. She tells him that she feels like she's being "interrogated" because my mother asked her why my brother won't call her. We haven't seen my nephew since February when we watched him while they took an out of state trip for his wife to go somewhere. His wife was not talkative and is always acting snooty, as if she thinks she's better than everyone else. She has been divorced one. As best as we can tell, it was likely because she had the other guy she was married to so far in debt that he cut her loose. He got full-time custody of the kid.. She was approaching 30 and had worked all of 6 months in her life. He has become nasty and texted my mother messages back that say things like, "I'm not a child for you to keep up with. I'll call when I have time. I'm not up for a lecture on ________" He has told her I don't know how many times that he would call her on x day and never did. Then he'd say he will call again on x day and won't. He has become a chronic liar and seems to have cut off contact with all of his wife. It may be because his wife hates us for some odd reason. His wife likes to flop around a lot. She has been whining about a gymnastics accident that supposedly hurt her knee/leg way back in her teens. She blames her parents for making her take gymnastics. She's had about two surgeries and all sorts of stuff done on my brother's dime. He has a good job, but every time we go down there, they've changed the (otherwise just fine) house around because she wanted new flooring, new this, new that, new furniture, new appliances, etc. Some kind of bank called me regarding him about 2-3 months ago. They were looking for him regarding some kind of auto loan that was apparently behind. The lady said that she needed to talk to him that day, and the message was sent to him with her info, but he never said anything about it. Making over 7 grand per month after taxes...he should be able to pay his bills. It seems like he's mad at us for his situation or something. What's the best way to handle this? We want to see my nephew. It almost seems like he's hiding something. The last several times that we went down to visit, my nephew picked at his fingers a lot, as if constantly worried about something. Usually right before we were about to leave after visiting, my brother would end up spanking my nephew or getting mad at him and sending him to his room for some reason. It is almost like he doesn't want him to tell us something. We're wondering if they're fighting, if he lost his job, they're in debt up to their ears, etc This all came out of nowhere. I do not feel that we have been judgmental of him, and most of the things that we "know" about her that I've mentioned here, we do not openly discuss with him or her to have caused him to cut off his family. Her family just pops in whenever, spends the night randomly, etc. Her mother/father are actually her aunt/uncle. Her bro/sis are actually cousins. Lost her dad in a car crash when she was very young. Her mother apparently has nothing to do with her. My brother doesn't seem to want us around very much for some reason. and that was supposed to say cut off contact with all of his family, not his wife. |
Question: Why did my brother take this so seriously? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 09:21 AM PDT when he yelled at mom about something I said someone is in the mood with a smile on my face he got so mad about it I don't know why because he always does that to me when I have my days he asked what he did to make me mad at him? I wasn't sure how to answer that because I don't think I seemed mad. It was pretty much kind of a joke again he does that to me and I don't get upset about it. I know that it's not a good time lol but he does it to me so he can do it to me but I can't do it to him? lol NO. |
Question: How to deal with missing someone :(? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 09:06 AM PDT Ok so my mom and her sister (my aunt) got into a huge fight. We usually visit them (they live about 2hr flight away) I've lost contact with my cousin. I really really miss her! We chatted once few months back and i was so hurt because she said nothing about missing me or ANYTHING! I really miss her, I'm too young to fly up there myself....I'm so sad. I got over it for a while but now it's just.....HORRIBLE! The possibility that I might never see my BEST FRIEND EVER again is so heart renching!!! |
Question: Why aren't my parents married after 17 years together? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 08:34 AM PDT So I've been wondering why my parents hasn't married each other for so long? I've asked my mom about this but she doesn't respond at all and my dad takes it as a joke saying 'yes' (in a fun way). What could it be? There are so many people saying that my parents are a great couple but they just ignore it. |
Question: Neighbour keeps inviting himself in to our house help!!!? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 08:33 AM PDT My husband and I recently moved to a new neighbourhood two months ago and settled in. Recently my husband has started working full time and he is back only early in the morning. There is a 85 year old deaf man whose our neighbour and he lives on his own. He barges in and invites himself to our house whenever I forget to lock the door. Last night he barged in at night! before going to sleep I made sure I'd locked the door. I tried talking to him and the other neighbours but they don't take heed and it's left on deaf ears!!! I don't know what to do it's driving me and my husband insane! He claims to have no memory of breaking in when he's invited himself loads of times!! We attempted talking to the police but they just laugh it off and tell us that our neighbour Mr Anderson is a harmless man...I want to change locks but my husband is almost never home with the amount of work he has!! Our neighbour Mr Anderson has also started rummaging through our mailbox...and some of the mail I was supposed to get for bills never arrived!! Our neighbour is driving us insane!! Question: What to do about our 18 year old son who thinks we never do enough for him? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 08:32 AM PDT Through our sons life we have provided him with lessons, a car and paid his insurance. We have offered him employment working for us in hopes that he would someday received a nice scholarship for college for his talent. That all paid off! He worked hard and received a full ride to one school and a nice scholarship to another. He decided to go to the second school and it most likely had something to do with the fact his girlfriend goes there. We are within a distance where he can commute so that s what he has been doing however he complains constantly about not having the college experience! His girlfriends parents are paying her living expenses and that s all we hear about. We do not have the money to do that and have 4 other kids that we are supporting. We still pay for all of his expenses but just can t pay an additional $15,000 a year for him to stay at school. We don t know how to handle this and he makes us feel like we are terrible parents and have never done anything for him. How do you handle a situation like this? He doesn t want a loan either, he just constantly wants to make us feel terrible. It s like he doesn t understand how lucky he is to make it through his undergraduate virtually debt free. Anyone else deal with a situation like this? |
Posted: 30 Sep 2016 08:25 AM PDT I am the second child in the family. In the afternoon yesterday was the birthday of my friend She held his birthday on that day in the evening and a boy to pick me up. Until my father accidentally saw him pass me. At 10 pm, my father was very angry and immediately pulled me into the house when I was not promptly greeted and thanked him for his pass on.My father said that girls is not allowed to go out at night with men and I have tried to explain that that day was my friend's birthday and it was my classmates. My dad did not believe me and said I was not old enough to love because it will make me not focus on learning prediction. He asked me not to play with the men and did not even let me go out at night with anyone. That boy was friends with me, and being a good student. I can not understand that the old fashioned thinking . Going with the opposite sex does not mean love, but it can be friendship between a boy and a girl. Question: Step dad and mom divorcing? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 08:10 AM PDT Step dad and mom divorcing? Okay so my mom doesnt know that I know, but my step dad has told me that they are going to have a divorce. I am okay with that, but i am mostly worried for my brother and I. I obviously want to stay in the house we are in or atleast stay in the area with all my friends and such. But my step dad will have to leave. My biological dad lives out of state so i am not leaving my brother and going there(half brothers). Anyways i would want to live with my step dad because he is more financially stable. My mom does not work and due to her life style (basically getting what she wants and doing minimal house work) i do not think she will be able to get a job to support my brother and I. My step dad was talking about keeping the house till my brother is old enough to move out. I should be moving out in 2 years (16 years old atm). Anyways i need advice on this. |
Posted: 30 Sep 2016 08:04 AM PDT My mother in law told my mom this and my mom told me. Well long story short my brother in law told his mom that it wasn't fair that my husband got a woman like me and that he got a wife like the one he has right now. That he doesn't know what I see in his brother because he's not all that and that I'm too good looking for him and that I should of shown interest in someone like him instead. He also mentioned this to an uncle . I don't want to say anything cause I don't want to start drama nobody knows I know this either other than my mom . But besides that I do notice my husbands brother lowkey has a lot jealously on him overall. |
Question: How to deal with bratty kids? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 08:02 AM PDT I'm a 49 year old father. Once my kids, daughter is 18 and son is 17, turned 2 and 3 years old, I stopped feeling fatherly towards them. I have bipolar, a lot of things can set me off. I started beating them at 2 and 3, I didn't do it hard with belts until they were 8 and 9, I usually did it on their head and backs. Whenever they were hyper, would cry or laugh it would anger me and I would beat them. I stopped just 2 months ago but have the urge to do it again. My son is in 11th grade and my daughter is in 12th grade. They refuse to give me rent money because they don't want to do anything for an abuser. This is illegal of them, who is in the wrong? My wife has always been on my side, so I don't feel that it is wrong in anyway. I want them to pay me back since I have been forced to live with them since they were 1 year old babies. want them to pay me back since I have been forced to live with them since they were 1 year old babies. I make my wife give me $300 a week for rent, our rent is $1700 a month, just want "son" and "daugter" to give me money as well, since they have lived with me since they were 1 years old. I do not beat them as punishment. I beat them hard with belts everytime I get set off even if I am not set off by them. Re-read the question. Wife is having me ask for advice |

Question: How to make parents listen? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 07:31 AM PDT Whenever I try to talk to my parents about a problem I'm having or something I need, they usually just brush me off. If I try to pursue it any further, they will tell me to stop talking back and go into a sob story from their childhood. And that's just if I try to talk to them. If we have a difference of opinion and I try to calmly show them my way of thinking, they'll quickly start shouting and then just tell me to "shut up!" I feel like they don't have time for me and they assume that any idea I come up with has to be a bad one, just because I'm the person who came up with it. What can I do to get them to listen to me? |
Question: What should I do about her??? Need Help!!!? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 07:17 AM PDT So I have this friend that is a girl and we have been friends for about 6 years now, and ever since she moved to my town she has been in and out of places and she has slept in her car a lot. I still live with my parents and have my own issues to deal with so I can't help her much. Last year she moved back to Houston because she was tired of sleeping in her car. She stayed for about 5 months then moved back to my town with no place to stay and no job. She said she couldn't take living with her family anymore. I didn't agree with the decision and of course she got mad at me for it. Well when she did move back it was earlier this year, and she slept in her car for basically the whole year and then moved back to Houston again for the same reason. Now I just spoke to her earlier and she tells me that she is again moving back to my town. She hasn't even been in Houston for 3 weeks. She's moving back to sleep in her car with no job and no money. I don't get this for the life of me. I'm getting fed up with her crap. She thinks sleeping in her car is better than being in a actual home. I get family is crazy but at least she had a roof over her head. What should I do about her??? |
Question: I am 27 years old. Why are most of the people my age and younger giant wussies? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 06:49 AM PDT I am just curious I was talking to some people on a college campus I am taking classes at. I heard about these "safe zones" and other crap. I was in class and our teacher had brought up a controversial topic. One student got up and started crying and left. WTF. Did I miss something growing up. Did my parents not baby my like I was supposed to be or something? |
Posted: 30 Sep 2016 06:43 AM PDT So this has been happening since I was young. I would remember events vividly with my mom, but she would remember them in a whole different way. Like times when she said something or did something, she'd deny them when I'd tell her about it. I thought it was me, until this happened. She told me that I told my brother about my dad paying her money, but I remembered not telling my brother but her first. I even told her it was at Dunkin Donuts and named the street were I told her. She was vehement about it and told me to ask my brother. I sure as hell did and he told me that he never did hear this from me and never told her anything. He even thought I was joking. She started saying that he was lying but I'm kind of worried now because this has been constant. Even now when I told her I was proud of her sewing as a full time job, she told me that I once asked her why she sewed and didn't have a career like other moms. But I damn well remember never saying that. I was the student in my school who bragged about my mom sewing. Has this happened to anyone? |
Question: Is my dad codependent on me to always be depressed? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 06:12 AM PDT I grew up in a family where my older brother was the "good one" and I was the younger, crazy, irresponsible, angry child who always needed mom and dad to help her. Now I'm becoming independent and happy on my own and I'm noticing for the first time my dad is turning to alcohol. Is that codependency? |

But that bitc h cheated on him with the same man multiple times... i cant even look at her. Not only do i HATE cheating and cheaters with a passion she also did that to one of the most important people in my life. Cheating is just... i would rather see my parents divorce and be happy individually than do nasty things like that. Im heart broken that my own mom could do something like that. My friends say im being too harsh on her but shes a cheater and she ruined her marriage and our relationship. How to get over this |

Posted: 30 Sep 2016 05:56 AM PDT (in dream) my brother texted me something very inappropriate and i texted what??? and he sent sry that was for mom. Posted: 30 Sep 2016 05:50 AM PDT We will see some people who are not family but that is not the same.

Question: How to communicate with a disrespectfull grandparent (adult child).? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 05:33 AM PDT My grandmother has never been motherly. She is usually critical, rude, and disrespectfull to all family members, especially my mom. Recently my mother and grandmother had another blow up about my grandmother enabling my alcoholic uncle. It resulted in my grandmother saying she wished she never had my mother, that my father was a horrible man, and that my sister and I moved to different states to get away from her (not true, moved for careers). My grandmother is now trying to reach out to me to get information on the family since my mom has dropped all communication. I m not really sure what an appropriate response should be since she is know to criticize everything. |
Posted: 30 Sep 2016 05:23 AM PDT I'm a freshman in high school. I want to go to a game today but my parents won't let me unless they go with me. I see hundreds of kids that are dropped off and are parentless until the games over. Kids younger than me! And all the people I know are just dropped off. They said that their parents don't care. My parents said they won't just drop me off, not yet. I don't know when that'll be either. I feel like it would be better to keep my ground, stay strong, and not go to the game. Should I? |
Posted: 30 Sep 2016 04:39 AM PDT My mother likes to vent to me about how bad she thinks he is. |
Posted: 30 Sep 2016 04:28 AM PDT Is it my fault and how do I make up to my mother? How do I make enough money to get him a good enough lawyer that he can get out? I feel really bad as Mom is mad at me now. |
Question: Why does my dad get pissed about everything?!?!? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 03:55 AM PDT Today, I went to a party and I went really long on the local train to get there (maybe 2 hours) I spent about 4 hours at the party and headed home. My dad happened to be in his car so I asked if he could pick me up in 30 minutes at the station. He got there about 10 minutes early and he waited. After 10 minutes he calls back and starts yelling at me because I wasn't there yet so I just hang up. Fast forward a little bit, I got in the car, and it started off okay. He bought some stuff and I asked what it was and my sister started talking so I accidentally ignored what he said and I asked again, AND HE ******* YELLS AT ME SHITT. Now I'm in my room and im really ******* pissed. By the way this is not the only time that this has happened. |

Question: What are your thoughts on this? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 01:56 AM PDT I'm a teenage mother of a 14 month old baby girl, just finishing up my final year of high-school. There are days when I am late, days where I don't show up at all and times when I have to forfeit an assignment but on the whole, I am passing and I am doing really well. Obviously things aren't perfect but I do my best to juggle being both a mother and a student. Last week my daughter was sick, she had a high fever, headache and was very clingy, as sick babies are. I took a day off school to stay home with her because she was being super fussy and only wanted to nurse. The next day my P.E (physical education) teacher asked me why I was absent, I told her and she got SO mad. She said she thinks its ridiculous that my GROWN CHILD (because 1 is so grown up lol) cannot stay at home with a sitter when she's unwell and that the fact that I am still breastfeeding her is terrible and the main reason she lacks independence. She then went on to explain that many teachers at the school also have kids and all manage to show up for work even when their kids are unwell. She said all of this in front of like 10 other students and a couple of other teachers and no one stood up for me, I could have honestly burst into tears. Like I said at the start, it's not like I take days off all the time or like I am a bad student... I feel so awkward around this teacher now and I feel like I need to resolve this issue. Should I confront her? Should I take it to senior management? Should I let it go? |
Question: Should I stay out of the family drama? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 01:39 AM PDT Pretty much my boyfriend and his brother are their mothers only children. Me n my man live together while her other son stays with the mother. Her son that stays with her has made it clear very often that he's ready to move out into his own place and live his life and have a bachelor pad .... How he's tired of taking care of they mom. They mom is only 63... Partially disabled... Amputated foot so all she does is sit n bed all day... Wait to b waited on hand n foot and doesn't even try to get up n do anything . Her son feels like he's not getting paid to care for her so he doesn't wanna care for her . So I feel like when his brother make those type of remarks he's hinting to us like well why can't she come stay with us? We have a baby on the way and he sees that taking care of a newborn n his lazy mom isn't gonna work. It's just a sad situation cause she doesn't even try to help herself . We undeterred she only have one foot... And now instead of her getting up n going to pee she rather pee in a pull up and get changed ... They both told me they feel uncomfortable changing they mom pull up. I don't say anything but I do feel like she just like **** it.... As a women she depend on her sons for just about everything. I don't believe she's incontinent ... She's just too lazy to take her time to get up n sit on the toilet or the commode |
Question: Is it weird that I ask my dad for dating advice? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 01:37 AM PDT I am a 24 yr old female and my dad is 70. I grew up without a mom so I've always had to come to my dad for dating advice unfortunately. One of my friends recently told me it was weird that I still go to my elderly dad for dating advice. I don't think it is, because he's lived through the 60s and 70s and had 3 marriages so I always just assumed it was natural to ask your parents for their advice since they've lived longer. |

Question: My dad and his partner are fighting? Posted: 30 Sep 2016 01:04 AM PDT Hello. I am a 15 year old girl who is living in the UK (Ireland) and I would like some help on how to help my dad with his relationship? My mom passed away when I was 4 from cancer and my dad got together with this guy when I was 7. He is basically another dad to me and he's a really amazing person, but the last couple of months they have been going through a lot of problems and I want to be able to help them in some way. I know it is adult business and I really shouldn't be getting involved, but they are both really sad and I just want to see them happy again. My dad and his partner have been fighting over a lot of things (cheating, alcohol, sex, etc). My dad is upset because he doesn't think that his partner is faithful and his partner is upset because he is always at the bar and never home to care for his needs. My dad has always struggled with alcohol, so I know that is a big problem and I am pretty sure his partner isn't cheating on him because a majority of the time he is at home (he lives with us).. There have been a few nights where they fought so bad my aunt had to come pick me up and even one time the Garda had to be called because my dad hit his partner and threatened to hurt him really bad. They are a really happy couple when they are happy and I want to see them be that way again without the fighting. They light up each other's worlds when they are happy, so what can I do to make them not fight anymore? I want them to be happy again, so that our family is happy. We live in Northern Ireland. |
