So I have two cousins getting married the same day. Since all my siblings are going to the wedding on my mother's side of the family I picked to go to the one on my Dad's side of the family. My mother was offended (parents are divorced) but is this okay? I figured I have three siblings and they will all be at my Mom's nieces wedding since it is local so I will go with my Dad to the destination wedding. I am equally as close to both cousins so I picked based on which was having less attendance and went to the one where my attendance would be more appreciated.

The only thing is she also wants to get married on a beautiful greek island. Does anyone know of something that fits that description. Thanx

My boyfriend put my engagement ring on layaway at Zales and he has been paying on it for months. He just called me and said that someone else had bought it so we have to find another ring. Is this true or is he lying? I don t want to ruin the surprise if he was lying and actually has the ring but I don t want to have my hopes up either.

A girl in my department (small department of about 11 people) is getting married. I m very excited for her. We get along well, but we re definitely just co-workers. I don t feel slighted at all that some of my department is going to her wedding and I am not. In fact, it would be weirder if I was there. But now I ve received an email from my other co-worker saying that we are throwing her a surprise shower and even mentions the registry to buy gifts from or to just buy gift cards. If we were going in on one big gift/gift certificate I would be more understanding. But it essentially feels like I m now getting this girl a wedding gift for a wedding I m not invited to. I don t want to be confrontational or difficult, but is this really a normal practice? Is it rude to say something to the party organizer? Should I just take that day off/work from home? Maybe this is totally normal and I m just clueless? Please advise.

Mother tries to bring marriage proposals of guys I donot want. Dad wants to mal me marry guys of family and I am sick of it. The guy I want to marry is not coming to marry me and when I try to marry any other guy than my fav guy then my fav guy Wil consider it bad and will not marry me but when I donot do anything to marry a guy of my choice then parents or fate will give me guy I never want. What should I do. How to be never get married with guy my family wants me to married with. How to be out of control of others.

I'm 5'6" she thinks I am 5'9". I wear lifts in my shoes to add inches. I am going to be in her sister's wedding. The slips ons that come with the tuxedo were ordered to small and I can't fit lifts in them, they have pretty much no sole so I will ONLY look 5'6" at the wedding!!!! To make matters worse, the ladies are all wearing high heels. My girlfriend has hers. I was with her when she picked up the dress and the costume and they are 4 maybe 5 inches. I never seen her in high heels before. You can tell what is going to happen at the wedding. SHE is going to be like 5 inches taller than me, it will be embarrassing, she thinks I am 5'9". I've been considering not going, playing sick or something. Advice?

Okay so I'm getting married in November we are doing a western style type of wedding and I can't figure out a song for my dance with my daddy. I really don't want to use Cinderella by Steven Curtis chapman because it was played at a friends funeral. (No joke) and I don't really like my little girl by Tim McGraw and my sister used I loved her first by heartland. So any other ideas would be helpful. Thanks in advance dears!
