Posted: 10 Sep 2016 05:34 PM PDT for a while i've been very upset that i only really have 2 friends. recently one moved across the state for college. my other friend is still in school with me but outside of school, he doesn't hang out with me, he will only really hang out with his other friends and make a lot of excuses as to why even though he knows i have no one else to hang out with and knows i get very upset when im lonely. so ive sort of accepted that i will be lonely for most of my life. how do i stop feeling so sad when im alone every day/night? i cant really make any friends in school (i really dont like most the ppl there and the ones i can talk to dont want to be close), i cant get a job (trust me ive tried), and my town is so small that i cant make friends outside of school or go anywhere where i'd meet people. i just want to be okay with being alone because it's something im going to have to experience for a long time. |

I contacted a girl from Lithuania, and yesterday we dm'ed for about an hour. I had to stop the conversation because I had to go somewhere, but she was really nice and so fun to chat with. Like, I'll ask what they are doing this weekend and the convo does not finish with no explanation. Or today, I had a good friend I have known since 5th grade cancel our lunch plans. She hardly ever cancels, but when she does, she explains why. Today, I texted her and asked what happened and nothing! Rude, right? I might delay my responses if I am working on a term paper, phone is upstairs, sleeping, or at work, but usually I text back and never just blow off a convo. Also, if I am unavailable, I explain. Posted: 10 Sep 2016 04:23 PM PDT I don't think it's because they've just gone to middle school because where I live we don't even have middle schools at all. It's just K-7 schools and 8-12 schools. I'm a 14 year old girl and kids at that age have always been like that in my perspective. When I was a 6th grader there was drama and crying in EVERY corner and some were obsessed with Justin Bieber and One Direction. Not to mention Kidz Bop or Mini Pop Kids (I'm Canadian and it's called Mini Pop Kids here). They tried to impress the 7th graders and the high schoolers every chance they got. Kids at that age are still the same nowadays. They act boy crazy over guys and cause drama mainly over boys, friends, school, and minor issues. Teenagers do that too but it's more preteens. I even read in an article about how tweens ages 10-12 are even harder to be a parent and set rules and boundaries to than teens. They tell on other kids for swearing and constantly say the word "gay" just to impress people and let them know that they know what the word means. The girls make getting their first periods, pimples, and bras such a big exciting deal as if someone just got them free tickets to see a celebrity! In fact getting those things during your adolescent years aren't even that fun. For one thing you get cramps when you're on your period, pimples make you feel self conscious sometimes, and as for bras it's not as exciting as tweens might think it is..they may need training bras first before actual bras. |

Yes i know some of you will say "why are you hanging out with a person who is not your age". We have known each other since childhood so we hang out a lot. We live next to each other. So we went on a bus, it was really quiet in the bus. But my friend didn't care at all. She was all jumpy, and looking everywhere, talking loudly, commenting about the people who passed by. It was embarrassing to just be next to her when she is acting like a 8 year old. So then we went to the hookah bar. We ordered a cappuccino and she started talking to 4 guys who were sitting close to us. Then she sat down with them leaving me in the corner for 10 minutes. Then one of the 4 guys invited me to be with them. I said yes because I didn't want to be alone and she was there. They had hookah and gave it to her. She took it. I couldn't believe it my eyes. They were strangers. I don't care if they look like innocent 17 year olds. You never know a person really in that short time. What if they put something in there. I refused because I didn't want it from them and I would never smoke. I care about my health. The waiter even noticed how she was naive. He told me " I see that you are nice, but your friend is crazy". When we started going home she was like "you should be more social, you should have talked to them". I didn't want to because I don't know them. What if they put something in it and wanted to take advantage of her. |

Ever since I entered a high school where non of my friends went too. I entered high school lonely and left lonely. Hated high school so much that I graduated early as a junior. When I left high school, my sister entered as a freshmen. And I'm seeing that every other day she goes out with her friends to go out and eat and shop and it makes me think about what could've been if I had friends like her. I certainly would've been a more happier person. I see people on social media go clubbing or going to each other's house to play video games or something. Me? I'm here typing this crap on Yahoo Answers. I have a real hard time making friends. Been in community college for more than a year and I've made no friends whatsoever. I tried applying for a job to help my situation but I did not get accepted anywhere. Not to mention that my parents prefer for me to work with them at their office. Upside to that though is that I make good money. I get happy buying my vinyl records or Blu Ray movies. I'm not completely lonely though. He's in my form(which is a mixture of people from different year groups here in England, from age 11-16.) He was in my form last year, and he didn't really have any friends other than my friend Elle. I sit near Elle and I guess we're acquaintances - we talk sometimes. He's.. Kind of cool. I'd love to be his friend(he still sits near me slightly, sometimes two seats in front, sometimes behind me but he's with his friends. I'm sitting with my friend Elle). But the problem is - his friends have moved into my form recently! He's too busy talking to them, so it'd be weird to talk to him randomly, especially since his friends are kind of the show-offy, non-friendly but not-mean type. I don't really know what to do and he's so cool but I'm slightly quiet :( He's slightly shy(not as much), cool, slightly confident. I'm not really shy, just quiet when there's nothing else to say. I'm shy when it comes to it, when I feel awkward - but I'm a bit socially awkward. Like, I can have conversations with my friend, but not so much with acquaintances. I have four people in my group of friends and this year we were all in the same homeroom except for one, let's call her Alicia. my other friend (let's call her kaylee) is in the same homeroom as me but has almost all different classes, and most of them she has with Alicia who used to be her BEST friend. school started on Wednesday. since then, Alicia has made a whole new group of friends and is like obsessively trying to be friends with this one girl who is very popular (because she's popular and also because she likes her brother). she's also friends with this seventh grader named Emily, and Alicia has previously made it very clear she hated her, yet on her snapchat story she was hanging out with her. she doesn't talk to me or kaylee (she doesn't talk to my other friend anyway because she doesn't like her) and when she does talk to us, she's being really mean. she's ignoring and being rude to kaylee which used to be her absolute BEST friend but just because they're in different classes everything changed. I don't even think it's because we have different classes, it's because she's made new friends and is trying very hard to be popular since she hangs out with the popular crowd. she'll ignore us at school but then talk to us on our group chat at home. I tried to confront her but all she said was "ok" so she clearly is trying to avoid confrontation or she just doesn't care. is she being fake? pls help |

Then I tried to phone him twice on that day to tell him that I would be not available for him on that day, He did not answer my call. After that in the afternoon he phoned me three times and I had to keep my phone in silent mode as I was busy with a job interview. Later at 8:30 that day, I came back home and saw three missed calls from him. I open whatsapp and this is what he said: "Yo , I have been calling you since morning? Why r u not picking up the phone" "Are u a moron or something?" "Are you a big idiot or what?" So , acc. to him if I phone him and he does not answer my phone then it's fine and when the reverse happens it's all my fault. I have not spoken to him since that incident |

I was so excited to start college and meet new people but now I just want to go home... Personality-wise, she's as much as an introvert can be. She has literally ZERO social skills. She's boring everyone she gets in contact with. She kept on babbling about her granny style life stories and laughing about it herself whereas nobody else found it funny. Now, I'm literally her ONLY friend cuz I dont know, people said that I'm very kind or something (not being narcistic). Basically the kindest a person could be. Well, deep inside I do have a lot of negative emotions. I just do not like offending people! How can I get rid of this person? I am getting so irritated that she's storming into my conversations with other people probably hoping that I'll bridge her to them. I mean, I'd love to but she's not even helping herself... She's just so stale and bland that everyone would really rather disassociate to end the entire conversation altogether! She's very sensitive. I don't know how to approach her with this. My ex's girlfriend keeps calling my phone and I get the wrong number calling sometimes but I think it's him. I make a fake account to spy on him and everyone else. I wanted my friends to pretend to be his ex girlfriend so he can get in trouble at a store he wasn't suppose to be in. When I talk about my ex, my friends don't say nothing at all or very quiet. My ex broke up with me six months ago. I haven't heard from my best friends. I called my other best friend 10 times the other night but she isn't answering. She told to stop calling her and I asked "What's your problem?" and said nothing back. I called my other friend four times two nights ago and I just wanted to ask if she wants to hang out this weekend but she said she has plans. I texted her yesterday about how people change, but no respond. Then I asked my other friend if she's heard from her and she said no. She must be very busy and she didn't answer back. : I mean they usually answer sometimes. They NEED to answer their phones when I call. I know they told me not to dwell on the past but I can't help it. He hurt me and he talked about respect?? That made me so mad! He doesn't know the first thing about respect! 😠 My friend must be busy with school and work. I found out that my two best friends are going to hang at the mall and didn't invite me! I'm so MAD! I'm always alone at home (accept for going to stores and walk) doing nothing! :( Sorry I've been constantly repeating this question but I'm so lonely. He is an odd guy with patchy facial hair and dirty clothes. he is kind of a dick. he pathetically tries to shove me in the hall way (he is 5ft 4 and fat, im 6ft 1 and built decently built). He is also a racist hillbilly, just putting that out there. Well, anyway, he asked me for a ride home from school and i told him "no, screw off shawny" and at the end of the day he waited next to my hummer and when i showed up he tried getting into it. Me and my friend, Benny, got into the car and he was screaming because we wouldn't let him get in the car. He told us that if we didn't give him a ride then he would have to walk 7 and a half miles home(buses already left) and i just drove away. Is it wrong that i left this guy at the school, or is my decision justified? |

| Posted: 10 Sep 2016 11:22 AM PDT This summer I broke away from my two closest friends after I came home from vacation and found out they had become twined up in our city s drug scene. They would ask me to come to the parties where they would use. I begged them to stop. The week before school started I got almost 30 something calls from this guy from my school telling me they had mixed too many drugs and almost overdosed. I know that they re still going to these parties because (lets call her Savanna) still asks me to come and "try it out". My mom read our texts one night without me knowing and is demanding that I report them to the school. But I m scared that they ll get arrested. My actions could ruin their lives, their futures. I really am trying to figure this out. If I do report them would they be arrested and get this on their record? Should I just to remove the potential for exacerbation of the problem? If not what? |

| Question: My friend is being stubborn. Am I wrong? Posted: 10 Sep 2016 09:51 AM PDT Basically here's the story so far; My friend has a habbit of saying he's gonna do something and then changing his mind at the last minute. For instance; he can say he wants to hang out tomorrow, then when tomorrow comes he says "I overslept and I don't feel good now, I'm not coming" about an hour before he was supposed to show up. This is annoying to me since I cleared my schedule for that day and he basically gives me no time to plan anything new. He then asks if I would still want him to come even if he was tired, and I said yes. He then asks "even if that would make me feel worse?" and I still say yes, because that's honestly what I would do in his situation. If I'm the one who overslept then my friends shouldn't have to suffer for it. He then goes on to say that "just let me be the way I am" and then goes on to calling me selfish and whatnot for trying to "change" him. From my point of view, it's just a matter of respecting your friends and owning up to your words. Yes, I know I'm being stubborn about this as well, but I honestly want an outside perspective. Who knows, maybe I'm the one being unreasonable. |

If you don't look or act a certain way you get rejected. At least that is the case with me. Being respectful and helpful doesn't mean anything to women. I'm used to being rejected, but it really hurts. It hurts if you feel a certain way but you are somebody nobody gives a crap about. I can be content with myself. but would love to be genuinely accepted. But it seems i always do or say something to make an idiot of myself. It's like i'm just some looser that doesn't win. Posted: 10 Sep 2016 09:37 AM PDT so i was at work with my best mate and we were meant to sell tickets for a volleyball game usually we mess with ourselves for example we say things like ''you might have a girlfriend but i have your mom'' So you know simple mom jokes he always talks like this so i got used to it and just laugh But when we were going to work (it was my first day) our colleague came and my best friend has a bad habbit to swear and talk loud around people hoping to get their attention So our colleague comes and he greets me and my friend says "Yo Pete (thats our colleague's name) thats Ivailo,the unluckiest guy in the world.His mom has slept with every guy in the national football team" And that kinda struck me cuz it was a new ''mom joke'' a harsh one in fact. So during work time he keeps goin on with the bad language so i ask him why are you doing that stop it and he says ''im doin that cuz you're gay'' and he keeps goin on acting like an ill-bred kid (that thing happens in front of our colleagues) i ignored him again Our break comes and everyone comes outside and we were talking about the game and a girl asks me what did you think bout the game and i explain to her that i dont like volleyball and im more of a football fan and my friend says out loud ''Thats cuz you're a retard and your mom has slept with the football team only god knows whos your father im sure that the fat useless punk that you call dad is someone that your mom got from the street'' At that moment i slapped him he got mad and started punching me and at that moment i got furious and i knocked him out the guards tackled me slapped me a couple of times and my boss fired me everyone was looking at me i felt ashamed and betrayed and probably a little bit guilty Later that night i learned that i had split his lip and he got 10 seams or smth He apologised the other day i did too but i dont feel him as close anymore he keeps joking that i might beat him again and that makes me uncomfortable Am i the wrong one |
