She and I hung out and during our lunch, she poked my chest and I looked confused. Then she rested on top of it and I started to fluster. Some lady saw her rest on top of me and said I must be really comfy. My face was red and my friend replied that she could sleep on me and with me for days. I looked like an idiot with nothing to say and they both giggled. Later, while we were riding some bus together, she rested on my chest and covered herself with my jacket that I lent to her. I got so nervous, though, but she didn't mind it and actually got a little laugh out of it. She's always liked seeing me blush, because when we were in college, I was that popular guy and she was that typical shy girl. But she enjoys resting her head on me. |

Posted: 17 Sep 2016 04:36 PM PDT Onceapon a time I was 5 years old and I met this girl Kaitlin and we were the best of friends all the way up until I was 15 then she started telling me I was anorexic and I should kill myself (repeatedly for a year) and then after that she went to a locational school called Mcctc which 2 year locational school that juniors and seniors go to to learn a trade (her parents did not have a lot of money but they Weren't broke or anything, her dad was a mechanic and her mom didn't have a job). Then when I was a senior in high school ppl were coming up to me asking me if I was a Herion addict and that Kaitlynn told them that so I flipped out on her in text calling her fat and stuff. Then she came over my house and cried and said Emily I'm so sorry I miss you your my best friend I would do anything to be friends with you again (she has also lost the weight so I figured she might be okay) then she went around telling people I starved my self and told this girl randomly that I thought she was a horrible mother and that her baby was ugly? And the girl believed her and was threatening to beat the **** out of me? So I asked in a text message if there was anything I ever did that made her dislike me or if I did anything to provoke her and she said no sorry I don't think I did that to you but if your still dwelling on this you really need to see a psychiatrist this all happened months ago. | Question: Friends are hard to make.? Posted: 17 Sep 2016 04:11 PM PDT You know, I used to be so outgoing that it got to a point where people were getting tired of me. Then I knew I needed to chill. Now I have a shy facade and I feel like I'm scaring people away. I'm really social inside, but now I just act quiet so I'm not too much. Friends are really hard for me to make at my new school. This is my first year of middle school, and things are easier than I expected. Most things. The class my lunch period is in is algebra 1, it's a really small class with many intelligent kids. Everyone talks and hangs out with their friends from their old schools, but I don't have many of those. There are two girls I know, but conversations with them are really hard to keep up with, and normally when I talk they just ignore what I say and continue with whatever boy they were crushing on. This rule applies to all my small class's cliques, I try to join in and the conversation dies. I'm going to try to join clubs but I'm not exactly sure when they are, or where for that matter. Please help. The only talks I've really had are with the super shy kids, but I normally stop talking to them because I feel like I'm annoying them while they read their books. I'm a tomboy and I enjoy cartoons and anime. I know I'm a geek. One girl in health personally told me that I don't fit in, but I don't really care what she says considering she shaved half of her eyebrow in an attempt to groom them properly. |

After a little digging I asked her when she worked next and said "Hey, what is your favorite food or drink? What would you like in the morning? I'll stop by your work and drop it off for you. I hate seeing you seem so stressed and upset, so maybe it'll make your day a little less stressful, just want to put a smile on your face". Her phone also broke (shattered), and I repair phones, so I offered to fix it for her for free, I said "And if you want, while I drop off the food/drink, I can repair the phone while you are at work, and drop it back off for ya, no charge of course." Her work is only 5 mins from my house, so I thought it would be nice and maybe cheer her up. She never responded, and is now totally ignoring me, and not even reading messages. Im lucky if anyone notices me, I can make my self as noticeable as possible but its like im a ghost to everyone. just like real life. they jsut keep on socializing with their freinds and its a tight circle that i can't get into because lets say i type something in a chat, they just keep on chatting amounst them selves and never invite me, even if what i said is a direct question or comment to a person regarding a subject that they are all talking about already. It sucks, I can seem to have any virtuall friends or freind circles, Im a teenager btw. That means that I need more personal time to recharge more than most people, but when I am with people I am just fine. However, when I'm trying to talk to new people, I simply have nothing to say to them. I want so badly to meet new girls, but it's so hard when you have nothing to say to them. I can't think of anything to ask them either... "hey, some weather huh...?" wow so interesting I'm sure the relationship will just blossom from there. Today in english I spoke to this one girl who's pretty cute. I asked her name and gave her mine. She said "nice to meet you". After that I just made a comment on the teacher and then turned around with nothing else to say. God, is that really the best I can think of...? I get jealous whenever I see a guy and a girl just talking. All I can think of is "damn, how can they be talking for so long and seem so into it, I couldn't do that in 1,000 years". I think after some deep soul searching I've come to the conclusion that I just don't care much about other people, that that is the underlying problem. I just might be self centered and not realize it. Maybe I'm not asking better questions because I don't care what the answer would be. How do I care more? It all comes down to me wanted more relationships with people, girls especially. I fail at such a basic part of relationships, which causes me to be more lonely and bitter towards people who can talk so freely and happily. |

But they came to my school a while back and were waiting for me the school was alerted but couldn't do anything because at the time I had no idea until now. And they couldn't jump on just a conclusion, I found this out by an old friend it's been 4years later now. But during that time my mom was being followed for a while I'm not sure how long and so was I. After my old friend told me this it made sense now. And when they went to my school they had guns but weren't loaded is what my old friend told me. He found out through someone who was close to one persons brother who I'm talking about. Question is should I react violently or what. Because I'm extremely mad right now. But years have passed and I still think they can still be a threat because one of the guys who were involved was at my house a week ago. I didn't know until now. And I'm not sure if he was there at the school or just had a knowledge and didn't tell me. What should I do. And they don't know that I know. No friends, parties, or anything other than me playing basketball I can't find any positives. I ahve been home the last 3 weekends to get away from people partying and feeling alone. I know if i want to start maing friends I should stay in the weekend but you think it is too late to start making friends. I feel like already whenever Ig o to the cafeteria I am the only lonely person there. I go to a small school about 5,000 as well so i feel it is way harder to make friends than in a bigger university. I had thoughts of dropping out already and have bashed my school in front of parents. I have cooled down now, i do have doubts of being here but i know I have a fault in my situation. I have no family, friendships drift apart and with long-term unemployment (due to disability, not by choice, and yes I'm trying desperately to change this situation) there's little opportunity to make new friends. I've spent years without making any new friends, both due to the situation and also as I'm Autistic so even given the opportunity to meet new people new friendships are more difficult to establish, especially if you can't do normal things like invite someone to go for drinks etc. I see no way of making new friends. I had my fiance, we've been together for four years and although we live in different countries we talk every day throughout the day and that's at least something...but I'm breaking up with him. I've only a handful of online friends but they're mutual friends with my fiance so I may lose those 'friends' when we break up - I don't really talk to them anyway, just occasionally comment on their Facebook posts but no PM's etc. I'm basically going to be left with absolutely no one and no social interaction. |

Since the beginning of our friendship I have had the idea that she may be a little insecure but now I'm starting to question if something else is going on. For instance, when we go clothing shopping together she will ask me several times if an item will look good on her or how would I wear it. At first I was flattered bc I like my style & thought that's y she asked frequently. Now it seems everything I mention to her soon after she wants the exact same thing or want to do the exact same thing(s) I mentioned. Also anytime she invites me out I ALWAYS agree to come but when I invite her out to similar social functions she makes up an excuse or just plain ole stands me up. I'm not sure if she thinks she's the only one who can come up w plans, if she thinks I'm going to show her up when we're out or if she's just not interested in my plans but yet she always agrees then changes her mind?! She also lies quite a lot. She told me she moved away from her user abusive BF but yet she still lives there. Idk y she felt the need to lie but she lies about things less important than that. I even feel like she abandons her race a bit being she always wants to do stereotypical thngs often associated w my race. (She's Asian Im Black) I just don't understand. Is she just insecure? Posted: 17 Sep 2016 01:10 PM PDT i have this friend name kelsey and lizzy. i met them this time last year at a football tailgate at our university, although we were cool, we became more of "friends" this summer and hung out quite a few times. after the summer i have noticed they dont really invite me out to stuff, i mean we werent like besties or anything but we were getting close and they would snapchat me everyday, esp lizzy. but last week when i asked lizzy if she was going to the football game tailgate she said she would come with me. then at the last minute , like the day before the game she canceled and told me her and kelsey couldnt go to the game and were going to a country concert the night of the game. i was pissed, but i didnt react i just basically kept my distance for a couple days then we planned to go to the tailgate today and once again they decide to lowkey bail on me to go to a brad paisley concert tonight. ive noticed recently instead of inviting me over or to do something, they will offer to only pick me up to get alcohol for them because im 21 and they are still 20. kelsey tried to ask me last week and i basically used an excuse not to cause they ditched plans with me last minute to go to a concert. im honestly hurt cause i dont have many friends at the moment. should i just cut them off? are they shady? |

However the thing is, I feel like I'm just her backup plan for when her other friends ignore her. We used to be really close but lately I feel like we're distant. We're both in grade 10 and she has friends in grade 11. She told me that we'd go to parties together once we're in grade 10 but she always goes with her grade 11 friends or her boyfriend. She'd even be talking about it in front of me and i just find it funny because she'd be telling them that her mom would drive them to the party and she wouldn't even ask me. Also I'm part of social Justice and student council so I have meetings during lunch and she complained to me saying that she had to sit by herself because I wasn't there. Next day, I was free and she goes for lunch with her boyfriend so I had to eat by myself. She's my only close friend but when we're in a crowd she sometimes ignores me to talk to her boyfriend or other friends. I just feel like crap. What should I do? I hate being left alone. Sometimes I even ask myself if we're bestfriends anymore and in my head the answer is always "no." But the thing I'm scared of not having anyone. I have some friends but they have their own bestfriends that they hang out with more. |

| Question: I feel so stressed after moving into apartment? Posted: 17 Sep 2016 12:32 PM PDT Okay so I know that moving into my own place is a big deal and it takes time. But I just moved into an apartment with my boyfriend. We are sophomores in college and have friends who live in the same city as us but they live on what's considered central campus whereas we live off campus more. I've started to notice that I'm becoming really worried about my friends forgetting about us. Over the summer we couldn't see each other too often because they lived in the college town and we lived back home but even though college has started I still feel like I never get to see them. They are all always together and we aren't there because we can't just walk over to their house- we have to get on a bus which sometimes stops running after a certain time of night. I guess I'm just stressing out and anxious over being forgotten while also trying to make this new apartment feel like a real home. We invited them over when we moved in to come see the place but they couldn't come due to other plans. I just am afraid I won't have any friends and wouldn't be able to make new ones because we don't live on campus. Any suggestions? |

And we're being these people from the show that literally look like regular people. And I don't want to tell them that I don't want to be a part of that because they're really judgmental and I'm scared they won't like me anymore. I like my friends, but it's also really important to me that I fit in at school because fitting has been a problem for me since middle school. Everyone at my school will be wearing something that everyone knows. But we'll just be there wearing a costume that honestly doesn't even look like a costume. It looks like we're not even wearing a costume. I don't want to tell my friends that I don't want to do this, but I also DON"T want to do it. It sounds like a petty problem. She says that they are her real life friends. We talk on Kik and when i started to get suspicious, i asked her for a picture of herself to verify it was actually HER. She kept sending pictures through camera roll and not through camera like I asked. Every time I asked her why she wouldnt send through camera, she says "my front camera wont work" and goes offline. At first we got along great and texted every day with full conversations. Now, he doesn't text me anymore. If I text him, he responds with brief texts, he doesn't text me unless I text him first, and he doesn't carry a conversation anymore. It also seems like he logs out of facebook immediately when he notices that I'm on there. I haven't heard from him in 3 weeks and I am actually concerned. We are JUST friends. | Question: Is it normal for people to be nervous and less confident about new drivers? Posted: 17 Sep 2016 11:31 AM PDT I'm 23 almost 24 and I got my drivers license this year. I felt so proud and confident until I started realizing how nervous so many people get when they see me drive. I was at a bar with my friend who was drunk so she let me drive her car back to the house. But after we were on the road for a few minutes she said "please pull over I feel really unsafe." So I did until she sobered up enough to drive. Another time was when I was helping my cousins bf out by driving his car while he drove my cousins car to her house to get both cars in one place. After a couple minutes he signaled for me to pull over and he decided to leave his car at a random Mcdonalds and drive us in one car the rest of the way. One of my boyfriends friends has never seen me drive but assumes I'm a bad driver. When he heard he got my license he was like "soooo I'm parking my car in another state." I also asked my grandma if I can drive their car sometimes if I need to go up the street and she said "no right now it's the only car we have so I need to do the driving." Why are so many people doubting my ability to drive well. And if they don't doubt it they get nervous when I start driving and take over. This has really shot down my confidence. No I have never caused an accident or anything crazy like that. I never use my phone or speed or do anything illegal that I now of. |

So, he is a super asshole to the girls that like him but he would be totally in love with the girls that don't like him. To the point where he would call and text them a lot even if they beg him to stop. The girls that like him are pretty, smart and focused young ladies however, he prefers to chase after the ladies that reject him and end up looking like a desperate pervert. There is one incident that happened recently with one girl he used to date and when I say date I mean have sex with as he claims that she was for sex only. He used her however, she really liked him and wanted more than just sex, after being treated like a doormat for so long she finally left him and found herself a real boyfriend, you know a guy that won't use her for sex only. The moment she found herself a boyfriend he began chasing her again and even claiming that she is the only one that has his heart etc. She is now pregnant for her boyfriend and he continues to chase her. What do you all think my friend's problem is? You all think he might have low self esteem or something? Because I think those types of behaviour patterns aren't sane lol. What do you all think? |

But as I grew up, I changed and some of them did NOT like that. Also, I got bored of some friends cuz I simply needed something else. But there are other factors: some friends turned against me, when they were unhappy—comparing themselves to me, and criticizing me for my lifestyle choices. Another thing I've learned is: social politics. People favor others for clearly subjective reasons, and give them a free pass while grilling you for the same things others are guilty of. It's also impossible for me to make new friends, I've found. I realize: I'm actually a very "quirky" guy after all. Let's just leave it at that. I'm not everyone's cup of tea. It's hard for anyone to make friends—I've seen it in ALL types of people, not just me. But I know why I can't.... I know this really isn't a question, but I just wanna hear some advice/feedback/thoughts?? Thanks so much. I also feel misunderstood by people a lot, because I'm unassuming and introverted, so people write me off as passive and dull. The irony is that I'm very adventurous and unconventional. Basically, people peg me wrong all the time!!! |
