Question: What do bridal shops do with defected dresses? Posted: 14 Sep 2016 09:36 PM PDT What does the bridal places do with the wedding dresses that are stained or ripped or etc and can't sell. Do they just throw them out or discount the dress or what exactly? |
Question: Do I need a musician for my wedding ceremony? Posted: 14 Sep 2016 05:42 PM PDT So I want a very specific song when i walk down the isle, and it's not here comes the bride. I would much rather it play on some sort of stereo or something but i'm not 100% sure if that could be an option. Any ideas of how to have music playing outside without the giant black stereos? Or ideas on how to keep them hidden. We're having a garden ceremony in a park very far away from buildings so i'm not exactly sure of any of the basic methods would even work, anyone have any good ideas? |

Question: No Children in the Wedding? Posted: 14 Sep 2016 03:56 PM PDT I've already (excitedly) committed to having my 10 year old niece in my wedding. After talking to her about this however, it seems that she and her mother are under the impression that her three other siblings will all have roles in the wedding - they've taken care of flower girl, ring bearer and junior groomsman. This has left such a sour taste in my mouth that I'm seriously considering having no children except my niece in the wedding. No flower girl, no ring bearer. Is this tacky? ** The mother isn't paying for any of their attire, etc. Her husband is already part of the wedding party. |

Question: Can you get a marriage license in a different state from the wedding? Posted: 14 Sep 2016 10:51 AM PDT We are getting married in Maine but both live in NH together, close to the Maine border. The wedding is in a little over 2 weeks. I was looking up what we had to do to get our Marriage License and found out Justice of the Peace from NH cannot do weddings in Maine. We were planning on having a friend of ours do the wedding who is a Justice of the Peace for NH. So is it legal and okay to get a marriage license in NH and sign and say it was done in our hometown and just do the ceremony in Maine with my friend performing the wedding? My friend says that its just paperwork and he needs to be just present during the signatures so it doesn't matter where the wedding takes place. We are in quite the pickle and don't have the time or the money to be able to afford an outside officiant. |
Question: Bride got offended because I asked her what the dress code was for her wedding...? Posted: 14 Sep 2016 09:41 AM PDT I always thought each wedding had a dress code: formal, semi-formal, black tie, cocktail, etc. I am dating the brides cousin so I'm going as a guest. My boyfriend never showed me the invitation and them he lost it. I wanted to be thoughtful and ask what the dress code was, and she and her mother got offended! All I said was "what is the dress code" And they jumped down my throat as if I should know how to dress for a family wedding and just because it's her second wedding doesn't mean I should dress as if it's not as important. Ummmmm..... not what I said or meant! Was I out of line and how should I handle this predicament in the future ?? Plus how should I mend things with them? |
Question: Engagement ring or promise ring? Posted: 14 Sep 2016 09:22 AM PDT I recently got engaged to my girlfriend. We are only 16. I want to get her a ring that she can wear till I can buy a better one and our wedding date is closer Would a promise ring work in place as an engagement ring in this case. Because it's cheaper and if anything was to happen it would have less of a consequence. |
Question: How do i go about getting a marriage license? Posted: 14 Sep 2016 08:46 AM PDT Thinking about getting married in a courthouse. also, would we have to go to the courthouse for the county we live in or any courthouse? |
