I am planning to ask my girlfriend to marry me. She is not in contact with either of her parents and her uncle is the closest thing she has to a father. She has even said that if we did a traditional wedding, he would be the one to walk her down the aisle. Should I ask her Uncle for his blessing in place of her father?

I've been with my girlfriend for 4 and a half years now and we are both ready to take the next step together. I bought an engagement ring after much hunting and have an idea for the proposal. Her birthday is next week and she always said she didn't want a proposal on her birthday or a holiday. I have made reservations at a restaurant and hotel for her birthday which will be a surprise. I'm going to decorate the room in lED candles and was thinking of making a very special evening out of it and then the NEXT day proposing. So in summary I guess, very special birthday, propose the day after. What do you think, ladies in particular.

I was asked and agreed to do a friends bridal makeup for her wedding. Later she asked if I could do her mom's and at that point said she would pay me, but never offered a rate nor asked for my fee. I'm also attending the wedding. Can my service be forwarded as the wedding gift or do I need to give a monetary gift? I also bought them high end passport holders for their wedding shower and a small item off the registry which I'll bring to the wedding

So I was supposed to meet this girl this summer who my family is trying to set me up with. She told us earlier this year that she wants to wait a few more years saying she has to take care of her family. I am turning 26 and I am dying to have a family of my own. We're both Latino but we have diferent skin colors, we grew up in diferent continents, we both grew up with multiple religions, I'm a Virgo she's a Sagittarius, she's 28 & I'm 23. We can all agree I don't deserve her I'm only her 2nd boyfriend & she's my first girlfriend. But nobodies ever been as nice to me as she has. You raised her to be the godess she is. She grew up privileged & I grew up in Chicago but she's so humble. She makes me feel like my life matters, she calms me just by her presence. You guys are such an amazing family & that's something I never had growing up. I love spending time with all 4 of you. But my time with her is so spiritual. I probably annoy her by talking about God so much but if it weren't for her & my faith lord knows I would've offed myself long ago. We met when I was 11 & she was 16. She's my best friend she's my everything she's the only reason I wake up in the morning. It wasn't love at 1st sight but when we met again when I was 16 & she was 21 the flirting & the chemistry was just there. Anti depressants don't help me neither does therapy but just telling her how special she is at night makes me feel a way I could never describe. I found it hard to believe I was smart, beautiful, etc when she told me that because nobody ever did that before. I tell her she's amazing everyday which is probably annoying but how can I not? Waking up next to her & sleeping next to her is a highlight of my life.
