I'm 16. My dad has a couple restaurants/bars. I work at 3 of them. Basically I work at one that he won't be at that day. He said its better that way. So because he's not there that day, the employees will talk about him. They don't care that I'm there listening and they know who I am. They say he pays them too low, that he makes them do too much work, that he talks disrespectfully to them, that he treats them like slaves, that he favors the women over the men, that he threatened to beat up a barman. I haven't seen any of this and I don't know if its true. They have also asked me to ask him for pay rises for everybody and to get new equipment to make work easiser. Theyve told me not to make it obvious theyve told me too. That i need to act like ive made observations because theyre scared to lose their jobs. He's not going to listen to his 16 y/o son who knows nothing about businesses. They keep asking if Ive said it to him. I don't know what to say or do. I like them all and I like my dad. I'm in a difficult situation. Do I tell my dad or managers what they're saying or quit? I don't know. I only wanted to come here and make a little money for myself Im ashamed hes my dad when they tell me these things

Hello I m a 24 year old woman who has a strained relationship with her father. As a child we were close,but my parents split when I was 9 and our relationship changed. I m his only child. It seems as the divorce caused him to go crazy and become paranoid and delusional. When I was 11 he forced me to live with him through court order, even though I expressed to him many times angrily how he changed and didn t want to live with him. When I was 13 he finally gave my mom full custody of me and I didn t have anything to do with him for 4 years. I got the courage to call him when I was 17 and we rekindled our relationship until a few years ago. I moved in with him a few years ago while attending college out of state, and we almost get evicted. I post something about it on Facebook asking friends and family for prayer and he finds out and basically loses his mind. He then proceeds to post things about me which leads to him defaming my character online. I delete him from my page but he somehow hacks into it and continues. He called me manipulative and deceptive and claimed that I spread lies all the time. He continued to argue with me and my mom via text message saying the same things. I ve tried to have a relationship with him, but he has serious issues, Is immature, and refuses any responsibility for his actions. I m not sure if I should try again or just leave him alone. I m his only child so if he gets old and/ or sick the family would look at me to take care of him. Help?

My ex left me because she said she outgrew me (we'd fight a lot). To be honest she was the best gf i ever had. Not to mention really beautiful (idk if i'll ever find someone like her). She also had a friend that'll tell her bad stuff about me as in "he's a bum leave him". Once i heard about this friend i went off on her friend. I called her a bietch etc. After my ex said how she felt i admitted i slept with an old ex while on our last break up since i wanted to know if she was seeing/slept with someone. I made my little brother and sisters terrified of me. My little brother wouldn't listen to me after I told him to clean up his soup mess on the floor. He was laughing about it and after the millionth time of yelling at him, he got the rag, cleaned it. He ran into the kitchen and I grabbed his arm and threw him across the room. He went on the couch and threw the rag at me. I was absolutely furious. I ripped him off the couch and threw him on the floor, my little sister was yelling, 'Laura Laura stop stop' and ran away from me terrified. I got a few things and just left. I'm at the library now, and feel like I want to kill myself. The reason why I'm so upset is bc the father scared us one day and I never wanted the little ones to feel like that ever again. I realized what I've done and now I can't see myself going back, please please help I'm at the end of my rope. Please help..

Long story short: My boyfriend and I were living on our own for about 10 months (about right after high school), until we got into a car crash (that wasn't my fault). Since August, when it happened, we've been living with his mom, 2 younger sisters, all three of their boyfriends, and his newborn niece, a total of 6.5 other people. Our plan is to stay here until we get the settlement money - which should be around $5000 each, if not more - then move into an apartment with our three cats. Now don't get me wrong, I'm very thankful that his mom is letting us stay here and that we get food and everything, but sometimes I feel like it hurts us more being here than on the street, financially. She has none of her sh** together, takes all of her son's money, and treats him poorly in return. His sisters are even worse, and there have been so many times I've heard them call him lazy, stupid, selfish, etc. when none of those are true. He has a job he goes to every day (which he calls hell), does his share of chores around the house, he is the ONLY ONE in his family who has ever graduated high school, and he always buys food for everyone and helps pay bills. I myself have given her hundreds of dollars to help out, which I know she won't return. I've never spent so much time with such illogical people. I know it would be cruel to have him lie to her about not having money, but both of us agree that we need to save as much as possible, and that neither of us want to stay here. Any advice?

My boyfriend get stressed and depressed sometimes and I really would like to help him. I know it can be a risk for my own mental and physical health, but I feel confidant in both and feel I can handle this. My boyfriend has nine siblings, and just found out he has another sibling on the way. His parents are extremely strict on him, and he hasn't really had the parental nurturing from them that he needed growing up. He's still only seventeen, so I understand that some things he says may be exaggerated, but I see some possibility that his concerns are valid. He also doesn't handle the chaos from his house very well. Any tips on how to help him through this?

I am 15 1/2 years old and my mom won t let me do anything at all. I get good grades and I always finish my chores on time. She won t allow me to hang out with any friends, play a sport at my school or get a job! I feel so sheltered and lonely. I can t talk to her and try to make her understand how I feel because she ll say I m being disrespectful (even if I m crying). I ve tried talking to her on many occasions but it always ends up on a bad note. She doesn t want me to hang out with friends for some odd reason. My friends offer to pick me up, drop me off and pay for me, but she still says no. He's an awful human being, tbh. he constanty calls me names like *****, pig, self absorbed, annoying, idiot, vain, selfish, etc. normally, idrc but seriously its getting on my nerves and i kind of want to stab him sometimes. he constantly gets me in trouble for things i didn't do, he whines, and complains and he never smiles unless sometimes being hurt. he hates girls, and thinks we're all vain bitches who cry when we break our nails. like sometimes, i ll break a nail and i hate it because whenever i walk with shorts, it scraps against my leg and it hurts. and if i say oh i broke my nail or anything, my brother will laugh at me and say I'm so vain. ugh, i know it doesn't sound that bad on here, but its like a thousand times worse in real life. he fights with me constantly and the one time i lost a fight against him, he never let me hear the end of it even though i beat him up every other time. he thinks he's so smart and he calls me stupid all the time even though I'm three years older than him. he took a six question "iq test" and got 180 iq which i don't think is true. from that point on, he said he was smarter than i was. he's so freaking annoying. and he criticizes me for every small thing i do and i constantly want to punch him or strangle him. he's so unpopular at school because he's rude and annoying to everyone. i hate him so much and i just want him to leave me alone. but my parents love him and the don't do anything when he punches/makes fun of me i used to not really care what he thought/said about me but ever since i became depressed I've been super sensitive to anything and he knows that. so he'll do whatever he can to make me feel even worse about myself

1.I'm not allowed to use my laptop for anything except hw even if I'm finished with hw and if i do, they'll reduce the amount of time I'm allowed to do my hw From 2 hours to 1 hour which is stupid because i still need to use that time to do my hw. yesterday, i was done with hw, so listen to music on youtube. it wasn't a big deal or anything. anyway.my parents checked my laptop and they found out so now I can only go on google drive. 2. I have an iPhone 6 and for some reason I'm only allowed to go on the phone "so i can check bus times" and I'm only allowed to use it for 30 minutes for other reasons. 3. i do cheerleading and i really love it but my parents won't let me watch vid to practice the cheers, so now at games i constantly make mistakes because I'm not allowed to view the video. and whenever i do something wrong, my parents threaten to force me to quit cheer. and its for stupid reasons a few days ago, i felt sick so i asked if i could stay home and my parents told me if i stayed home then they'd force me to quit cheer. 4. they're extremely homophobic and i think I'm bi so i haven't told them yet. but they keep on telling me how being gay is a sin and if i was gay then id rot in hell. seriously i hate my parents especially my dad, not even kidding.the second i get out of college, ill never talk to them again. my dad is abusive angry and manipulative for reasons not in this question. i just want to know how to get them to stop doing all this

He toad me to order food for everyone from this dessert/chicken/pizza place. So I went on their website and ordered everybody what they wanted. Then I wanted a milkshake. But there's like 40 different flavors and combinations. So I ordered 9 different ones. Then he went to pick up the food cuz he hates delivery since fries get cold. And he came home real mad. Cuz he had to carry the drinks out to the car in sets of 4 cuz they was the biggest cup holders they had. Then the cup holder with one milkshake tipped in the car and now he's got after eight mint milkshake on the seats and floor. Then cuz he was mad he wouldn't let me drink all 9. He forced me to let all the family choose one of MY milkshakes to drink. They could of just ordered their own. So then I was left with 5 and my dad abused me saying I better drink them all. Well I couldn't! I could only finish 2. And he said I better enjoy the last 3 tomorrow cuz I'm never ordering them again. It's not fair cuz I always like to have milkshake when we order food. They only cost 3,99 each but he's mad about the price too, as though we was poor. I want him arrested he made a big deal out of this

hi im 16 years old and my mom and i havent gotten along since i was a little girl. my mom also doesnt get along with her family my parents are still married, but they are only still together because they want the best for my 8 year old sister. although we all live in one home, they avoid eachother and do not talk. My mom has slapped me in the face (hard) countlesss amounts of times in the last few months. Last night she checked my grades, and i had an F in physics because its a new semester and the only grade in the system is a 0 because i was absent and havent made it up yet. she texted me a lot of nasty things saying how im a **** up and she is kicking me out to live with my grandma and that im an embarrassment and a selfish lazy *****. So when i came home, the door was off the hinges in my room and every single thing i own (drawers empties, shelves sweeped, things thrown everywhere and broken) was on the floor. she screamed at me that i needed to clean it all up and continued to verbally degrade me by saying im going no where in life and im worth nothing and a waste of time for her. i was upset and attempted to leave. i headed for the door and she started screaming IM GOING TO BEAT THE **** OUT OF YOU then she ran after me and cornered me in the kitchen and swung (open hand) at my face. i stepped away and started having panic attacks as she screamed at me. can she get in trouble? what will happen if i contact police? can i still live with my dad or would it be foster care?

My sister called the cops on me a long time ago and lied and told the cops that I hit her. Luckily I did not get charged for anything. She damaged my mom's old house and she use to scream and pretend that my mom was hurting her The neighbors could hear her because it was so loud. She would scream while everyone was asleep. And my big sister yelled at me for no reason because my little sister was yelling at me. I moved out to live with my dad. I was still in community college at the time and a year and a half later I moved back in with my mom and we moved to a 2 bedroom apartment I finally got my own room and my mom and her boyfriend shared a room. I graduated college and even though my mom's boyfriend drank alcohol and he made the apartment smell like alcohol, I started to get along with him and he stopped drinking as much Things started to look up for me because I was in the process of getting a new job. Then in the summer of last year, my mom told me that my little sister is moving in. I was surprised that my mom was allowing this because my mom did not even want her there because the damage she caused in the old house You see my little sister was living with my dad at the time. And my dad told me she called the cops on him and threw a fire extinguisher through the tv. She told my mom that he was doing all these awful things and she would talk bad about his girlfriend. But I met his girlfriend and she's quiet she doesn't even come out of her room alot. I definitely do not want her here but it's not my apartment it's my mom's apartment I feel like she is going to start drama here just like she did long time ago. My mom has threatened to take my guardianship away from me and put me in either a group home or an assistive living home and it's so bad that me and my mom fuss and argue almost every day not to mention that when we argue we cuss at each other so my question is how can I get away from my mom without going to court since if I have too I'll make my dad my guardian and my mom is my payee since I have disabilities but my disabilities don't mess with my thinking much and also I don't get along with my mom at all and I'm not happy living with her since I feel trapped living with her and she controls my life and she won't let me do what I want so again how can I get away from my mom without going to court?

I recently moved in with my mom because my dad moved somewhere else with his new wife, and his wife is so mean, and my dad treats me like ****. But it s not great at my moms house either, her boyfriend always gets in fights with her and we pack all of our stuff like every weekend and then we just come back an hour later. My daughter is graduating from high school. She took a multiple choice test in one of her classes. After she got her grade we were reviewing the test and found one of the questions with NO correct answer. If that question were not in the test her grade for the course would be high enough that she qualified for a college scholarship. We went to the school to asked that she get a new grade on the test after throwing out the question that did not have a correct answer. Both the teacher and the principal refused. They told us that once a grade is recorded, it can not be changed for ANY reason. We are considering our options. We are talking about a LOT OF MONEY riding on the outcome of this. Here are some of the things we are thinking about. Post the whole story on YOUTUBE and hope it will go viral and change the schools mine about changing the grade. OR Contacting the local newspaper and TV stations to see if they will give this some publicity. OR Contacting other parents whose children may have been victims of the same test. OR Suing the school board. Any advice on how to proceed will be greatly appreciated. Is there another option I have not considered.

I keep my carpet extremely clean and even use strong tape to pick up "the dots", my mom came into my room to close my window and walked all over my carpet with her disgusting shoes that she uses to rub cats with! And they just look really old and disgusting! I started screaming and my mom and got very heated up... I was so mad! I am a working lady recently joined back to work after long maternity leave.I have to wake up early cook my sons 4course meal n lunch for me n my hubby. Go to work .after we return from office I am the one responsible for packing sons bag for next day,wash his clothes as in machine wash, cook dinner.wash sons lunch boxes. Apart from this my hubby helps me in chorus like Drying the clothes,he gives my son bath in mornings n gets him dressed up & ready as I am in kitchen. I also have privilege of not cooking on some days ordering food or eating out. Most important is he looks after the kid in night.if he wakes up he's the one to take care of him. Weekends m solely responsible for laundry,cooking meals ...today he gave me some curt reply like "get ur things on ur own" like I asked him for cold drink bottle while having dinner, asked him for wipe cloth when I was on a ladder cleaning shelf(he should hv handed it to me as I was top of ladder) I just asked him to dry the laundry he just got irritated. I tried to have conversation n he said u always choose easier things to do...BTW I cleaned all the cobwebs in the home today also vacuumed full house. He's great help actually support for me going to work...else it would hv been impossible for me. Sometimes I feel he's not doing things willingly.... Just felt hurt after knowing how he thinks!!! M I expecting too much...or missing his perspective?

I know I am still a kid technically, I'm in high school (a sophomore). However my parents tell me things like "I am not allowed to vote Democrat in the school election (this was back in 2012)", "I am not allowed to use my own email account or use Facebook" "I have to be anonymous here in Yahoo" or among other things "I am not allowed to talk to my mother's sister or her children (my mother had an estate fight with her sister four years ago)". How can I get them to stop and realize I am 16? I feel I should be able to see my aunt and her kids and I should be able to vote how I wish. And I am like the only person in the world not on Facebook. I understand rules and I make A's and B's. How can I get them to let me be a normal teen?

He is four and he is just realizing he has darker skin then others (he is part hispanic and part African-American). My sister says she is going to just let him feel everyone comes out different until he is old enough to understand sex and all. Should I just tell the kid as I think it is cruel to do it that way.

I'm 16 years old I live with my grandparents, my aunt, and my father. My grandmother is very rude and constantly gets an attitude with me over simple questions. She also mocks me for having memory issues. When I got 4 wisdom teeth removed and an extra tooth pulled last December, she only let me have stay home for 2 days, and sent me back to school with no pain medication. I was crying because of how much pain I was in but she claimed I was "faking it" so I could stay home. She gave me money to spend for Christmas and said I could do what I want with it, but she yelled at me when I had packages from Amazon coming in. Last summer she tried to take my bank card when I went to the mall with it. My aunt is really insensitive and laughed at me when I told her I almost passed out from hunger. My dad has anger issues, has threatened to hit me several times, and talks about "killing anyone who hurts" me. I don't really know what to do anymore. I could run away but I don't have anywhere to go. I could off myself but I'd be leaving 3 siblings behind. My mother is alive, but I've stayed with my dad's side of the family since I was little because they wanted to put me in a better school in another neighborhood. I should also mention, I'm a senior in high school (I was skipped a while ago, I turn 17 next month) and I'm trying to go to schools away from the state so I can get away from them, but they're trying to keep me in-state. I don't really know what do do about that, either, so advice would be nice.

Right now he says we make a big deal about nothing. He is drunk I would say 4 or 5 days out of a 7 day week.

I want to go for closure but I don't know what my half-siblings know as I see he is survived by three kids (my sister and I were left out of the obit). I know his wife knows but don't know about the kids. I am afraid to call the wife in case she says "Don't come" and then there is absolutely no closure. What should I do? He never was my Dad but I feel there is a blood bond that I need closure for even though he left when I was aged 2 and only met me two times after that and had no remorse for being gone (blamed my mother for being a hard wife).

I have a brother and a sister. I have two kids and my sister has one kid. My brother has four kids. My mother I feel spends all here time with my sister's daughter whom she calls her princess. On Christmas she had presents for all the grandkids but four presents for the princess, her granddaughter from my sister. I don't want my kids sensing the favoritism now that they are getting older and my brother says his 2nd kid (his son) very much notices it and is only 12. So how do I get her to be more interested in my kids (aged 6 and 9). I noticed on Christmas 11 out of her 16 grandchildren photos are of this granddaughter with one of the rest (and a second of the oldest granddaughter).

Im 15 I have a special needs 18 yo. Sister and we share a TINY bedroom. She has a fit when I want to have the door closed, and she's afraid of the dark so we have to have the TV on, light on, and plays music loudly when I'm trying to sleep. I can't take it anymore.😞

He got remarried this past year and my mother, as noted in another question, said he doesn't love me since he remarried even if he likes me. She also notes he never wanted kids and she had to pressure him to have me and my brother. I feel really sad about this. Should I tell him or would I just create a fight? Hi, I m Victor. My mom passed away when I was 13 and I m now 23. I m currently staying with my distant aunt. I m a quiet person, cant make a long conversation unless I m with a story-teller. I like playing music or singing alone, playing a simple game(mostly Zuma), watching movies and reading. all the families I have stayed with say that I m a bad person. On average, I find that people get irritated with my presence as I am always home. I m left in a situation where I should know what to be done without asking the owner of the house. If i ask they say why do you ask, if i just do it my way they say u should have asked. People get really pissed off. So like where I m staying this holiday, I found that they dont cook lunch and i followed suit. But aunt get s pissed saying I starve her hubby. So i askher what to cook but she gets pissed that i shouldnt ask such, if I cook something, she gets mad that i cooked what she needed to cook herself. She always finds faults when she returns from work and never says i have done anything good. I feel I m just a burden to people, I m bad and whatever i do is bad. Five families now discarding me, is there anyway I can become good. I try my best to be good but the more i try the more it becomes worse.I really need help

Can they because when my brother( who has autism and is 4 year's old brother) would get mad and throw the phone against the wall because my mother and father would make me give it to him when his device battery dies and the when the connection wasnt working on netflix 100 percent he would get mad nd now it has dints in the back of it and the screen has lifted up and then my 13 year old sister got a knife and wedged it under the screen and some glass broke and im worried the might be some internal damage because now the iphone wont even turn on its just blank before it would come on and the touch screen just didnt work.i think my sister was pissed of at me anyway im over it now but now my dad saids he wants to get it fixed and im not sure apple eill be able to

This morning, we (mom, brother and dad) were at the table having breakfast. I noticed these packets of corn chips that have been there for about a year now & i asked "what are we gonna do with these? they're past expiration date." Mom decided she'll eat it. So i tossed them to her. (she's supposed to be watching her cholesterol & sugar but regardless she starts eating them). My brother's sitting at the table having cereal (an overweight 7 year old because he never stops eating) she looks at him & asks "would you like some?" Me, knowing that's not the ideal food for breakfast "You can have some after breakfast." She gives me a look, & holds back whatever it was she was gonna tell me off about. She continues eating them. After he finished breakfast, he refused to eat it because i told him its not healthy. She got upset and stormed off. I sent him to go bathe & brush his teeth. She storms out of her room and starts telling me off about acting like a grandmother or mother, & that i should mind my own business because it's not my child & i should not be dictating what he should or shouldn't do. I said to her "I'm just trying to make sure he's eating healthy for breakfast & not gaining more weight because its what you're worried about." She jumps in and starts yelling "he's my son and i will give him whatever i want!When you get your son, you can feed him or starve him!" im trying to bring him up right and teach him what i leaned.She just cant stand being wrong.How do i handle it?

Okay, let me start with saying that I know that ot's their house, their rules. I know that. And I'm fine with that— I don't mind the curfews, I don't mind having to clean the house, do chores or not hang out with certain people. But sometimes my parents, especially my mother, try and supress my individuality and plan out the life that THEY wanted to live, and make me do things according to their personalities and their desires. See: - I'm 14 and they're already picking out colleges for me. when they ask me what college I'm going to and I say the "wrong one", they lecture me – They want me to be in business when I want to be an artist; they won't let me take the visual arts classes and instead they make me do economics - They want me to take Spanish when I want to do Latin, simply because that's the language they both took - they're basically trying to recreate their lives on me, as though I'm their chance to star over or something.. I love my parents very much and I appreciate all they're attempting to do for me, but sometimes I just want to make them see that I'm a different person than they want me to be, and I've got different interests. i know I don't want to come off as bratty or anything, its just that I really wantto be my own person. You know, pick my own life path instead of having them pick it for me, especially while I'm so young.. how can I convince them to let me be me?

My daughter is 15 and she always thinks that she knows everything better than me. Since she was a little girl i've always wanted her to go to a good school so she can get higher grades and be a doctor or maybe a lawyer. She needs to go to a school where the teachers always know where they have her so she always do her homework and stuff. But she doesn't want that. She wants to go to a school that she found nearby our home but I don't like that place. They don't learn much english, math and all those good subjects. They learn about art, music and that's s not good because she will just end up having a loser work. What Should I do to convince her? She won't listen to me, help.

I recently just moved about 6 months ago and it's been really hard because I'm a super sentimental person and I grew up in that house and everything that had ever happened to me had happened in that house. Now, my aunt is selling her house soon and I also have a lot of memories at her house. My parents are very involved in my kids lives!! 3.5yrs old & 1yr old. My father in law passed away. She knows he lives in the clouds in heaven. & we have his ashes so she knows they are in his clock. My mother in law Has chosen to be with her (abusive) boyfriend, his druggy family, & she did have foster children. But lost them due to her boyfriend & his family. She always used the excuse it was our fault she wasn't allowed to come around since we wouldn't let the BF & his family around. Then she used the excuse we wouldn't let the foster kids around. Well now both are out or semi out of the picture. It's been 3 months. She didn't come for our son's first birthday. No card or gift. No Christmas gifts. No call. We go thru the family tree. Who is moms brother.... Uncle Fred. Who are dads sisters Aunt Sally & Betty. Moms, Mom? Grandma Smith. We have been skipping Dads mom... But now she is asking...? I used to say she was at work, but I don't want to give her that credit. That she works so much she can't come. Because that's not true. What do I say? My daughter knows her to see a photo. Because I have pushed it & attempted so when she does come around my daughter will know her. My mother in law seen the kids maybe 3 hrs over 3 visits last year. 1 was a wedding shower with 30 others & the other was a wedding she said hello, hug & that was it to our kids. Her ONLY grandkids.

My mom died when I was 3 and she and my dad got married when I was 6. From the beginning, she wanted to pass me off as her daughter. The first time I was ever in trouble with her was when I asked my dad if I could stand beside him during the wedding instead of being a flower girl/bridesmaid, since I always hated wearing dressed and I didn't really want to be in her part of the wedding. I ended up without a role, which worked better for me. She and my dad attempted to cut my maternal family from my life, but then when my grandparents stopped sending money, they allowed them back in. But my stepmother would always gloat about how she was raising me and not my real mom. All this happened in front of me and it would make me sick. I've been punished on numerous occasions in the last 9 years for not calling her mom or getting her a stepmother birthday card instead of a mom one. When I told my friends she was my stepmother, not my mom, it would make her and my dad so angry. He would sit me down at least 3 times a year and tell me my mom was gone and I should cherish my stepmother more and open my heart to her as my mom, because she was doing everything a mom would do. And when I pointed out how she didn't have my best interests at heart and hated me mentioning my mom, he would tell me it was hard for her and I needed to be more understanding. Even now, but they even have their kids (my half siblings) trying to break me and get me to call her mom. Help! I don't think I would have such an issue if things had happened naturally. But the way they tried to force me when I was younger and the way she rubs it into my family's face, without thinking of how it makes me feel, has made my feelings toward her very hard. I think she's a mean person and I don't think she deserves the title of mom from me with the way she acts. It's stopped me from loving her.

I'm 15 and I'm struggling to cope with all the revision and homework I've been given this week and all the teachers want it due next week. I have 2 days this weekend to do it but I'd rather do it in 1 because I'll probably work myself Ill.
