He confessed this to me years later over a message. Years after we would have conversations every year or so they would last a few weeks, and as soon as I sensed the next step I would stop replying. It feels weird, but I'm kind of happy that I get to see him. Which leads to my problem, we don't even say Hi to eachother or talk unless we have to. In person at a mutual friends party my gf was not at, her "best friend" confessed her love for me. She said I need to just accept it. We had our little fights here and there over the fact he isn't ready to be committed, but that he cares greatly for me and all that. He also had strict parents s and never got a lot of freedom until this year when he moved out to his own apartment, and the idea of having to be committed to one person and not being able to do things with other people if he wanted (even though he doesn't want to? he just wants to KNOW he can) I found out a short while after the real reason he is so scared to commit to me is because after next spring he will be on his way to law school and he is debating between FSU and a school in virginia, and he knows if he puts a title onto what we are than he will end up staying and even though he would do it because it makes him happy, he doesn't want to commit to something that could change his life before he solidifies it. So as of right now, i came up with the arrangement, we are talking but he is allowed to text/hang out with other girls, but if anything happens physically we tell each other asap i can too but i have no need for that... he texts this one girl a lot and he has admitted to me that he only does so because it helps him feel less serious about me than he does, because he gets 'scared' and pulls away when we start to get too serious. (i hate this arrangement and it hurts that he has to do that but i can't let him go) |

Because she did not seem to be going anywhere in life, dropped out of high school, and etc. While I am doing just fine. So, since I still loved him very much, I agreed to take him back! Anyways, the weekend just ended. I did not see him until Sunday morning, which was when I found out the awful news. Him and this girl he cut ties with, have been messaging very inappropriately since Friday, saying things like "I miss you." "Can't wait to see you on Wednesday" etc. I was furious, I was appalled, and I did not know what to do. I called him out on this, and he explained that he was just "being nice" and his end result was to really "cut her off" and make it so that she hates him. I am still very angry, and very hurt. The girl tried messaging me through facebook (very unexpected) telling me that she just found out him and I are in a relationship and that her and him have been flirting for a while... I have yet to talk to him about this chat with his coworker. I am not looking for "dump him" or simple replies. I want to know how to handle this situation maturely. I feel ending the relationship is a smart decision, but, how do I handle giving up on love, what do I say to him. FYI: we are both 18 years old. |

Anyhow, the reason she popped up is because she is facebook friends with one of my friends I met at work. I've gotten to the point where I'd like to just talk to any girl who catches my eye (I'm 19). After all, it doesn't really do any harm. Maybe this girl won't give a damn, BUT what would you do, or what would you recommend that I do. The girl is 17 btw (checked her profile). P.S. Probably NOTHING will actually happen, but it's worth a shot. Not many people do it, but people have had success doing it. There aren't many photos of her, also not much personal info. |

I was in a local Starbucks today and noticed a very cute barista working the register who took care of me. There was flirty banter, I hung out in the shop and left after finishing my drink, but in a bout of confidence went back into the shop after, purchased a water from the same girl, and slipped her a note telling her I thought she was extremely beautiful and left my number. First time EVER doing so. Come later in the evening(9pmish), I get a text from her stating who it is, and thanking me for the note. My question is: now what? I ve never done this before, and now I m nervous to text her back. What do I say at this point? Obviously she knows I m interested, but was she just being polite in texting me or do you think she s interested to? Dating isn t my forte and I m kinda lost. Help. |
