I know some married couples who identify themselves as traditional Catholics. They don't believe in using birth control, so therefore they don't believe in planning any of their pregnancies. So this means their OK with the wife getting pregnant whenever she gets pregnant. Therefore, they don't know the number of children they will end up with. In the minds of traditional Catholics, there is no such thing as "electing to have children" because they don't plan pregnancies. Instead, they believe that God is the one who does the family planning. This means that the wife could get pregnant many times, resulting in having many children. So my question is this ... what normally would happen to a married couple if they end up having 8 to 10 to 14 kids?

It's my fault I know, we planned to get married before I left for South Korea, I'm in the military. I'm just curious, say if a wife cheated on her husband (or vice versa), can the husband still bring up the affair as a potential hazard for the kids by stating: 1. The wife does not know the other man completely well, therefore he may be dangerous or 2. If the wife spends time with other man, that means she neglects the kids. Are those good enough reasons? Or are they not and the husband has to prove he's more involved in the kids' lives?

My ex is threatening sole custody because he does not like my husband. My son is 9 a straight A student and plays multiple sports. My current husband went through a bought of depression and drank too much due to loosing his job. It caused an argument which my son heard. My son told his father now his father wants custody. My current husband has fought the depression and no longer drinks. We provide an encouraging loving home and my son thrives in his studies and sports. My ex also has hit my son numerous times tells him terrible stories about us and constantly threatens to hit him if he doesn't tell him what goes on in our household. He rarely pays child support and told me if I take him to court for support he will take me to court for custody. He tells me if I don't allow him to file him as a dependent on his taxes he will take me for support. My son cries every time his father picks him up because he doesn't want to go and is afraid of him. How can I prevent him from getting custody?

If a single 43-year old man has never been in a serious relationship with anyone, and is still a virgin, is it possible for him to ever have such a relationship, or even get married? Or would such a man likely be single all his life? To me, it seems highly unlikely that any women would be attracted to him, other than those trying to play games or swindle him out of money.

He and I were together throughout childhood, broke up in our twenties. He recently remarried, but always expressed regret that he and I did not have a family together. I am now in my late 30s, no romantic partner on the horizon, no children, and fearful that my fertility is declining. I just want him to donate sperm so that I may have a child later, and am more interested in using someone I know, rather than a stranger. I would not put him on child support or make him more responsible than he chooses to be with the child if he agrees. However, while I believe he'd say yes, his wife is another story. My husband says that he knows my cycle and when I'm fertile or not so he bases sex off of that because he doesn't want to wear condoms and he thinks he knows what he is doing to prevent pregnancy right now. I don't take any pills because of the hormones. What do guys have against condoms?
