I get that the made up word of frenemy is friend + enemy and understand the meaning of it. However if a guy calls you a frenemy regarding something silly such rivals with favorite pro sports teams, would you think that he is being flirty or just a tease as a friend?

I'm 28 years old and I still live at home with my parents but I do work and I go to school. I'm the only child so they are protective of me they don't want me to travel alone. I want to go to LA and my mom wants me to take my guy friend with me. We are only friends and we aren't dating. However I'll be meeting up with a guy once I get there. What can I do about this? Should I still go with the guy? He and I are just friends we aren't dating but they want him to go with me so I have someone with me. I don't mind him going but I would be staying in a different hotel than him. Basically I'm just taking him so my parents will feel at ease about me not being alone.

My friend said that he designed something called a "Twelve Step Plan", which he supposedly uses on me and on other people to get what he wants. He is really protective of what the plans do, and whenever I do something he says I am following through with one of his plans. I suspect they are real because once, I told him a secret, and he told me it was all part of his plan. I have tried several times, with different strategies, to find out what these plans are, and what they do. However, he has never given me a bit of information, and I do, for whatever reason, try to mess up his plans, and whatnot. So my question(s) here are, have you ever heard of such a thing as a twelve step plan? (Not for alcohol), What should I do to find out what these plans are and what they do?, and should I care about this? He says the plans have a 100% success rate.

Someone... Let's call her Dirty Diana, tries to be my friend... I agree, then she is a huge C U Next Tuesday. I get mad, and tell her to **** off! I then will be mean... So basically I came to a public middle school from a private lower and middle school in order to transition into the public school system. I transferred with, coincidentally, one other girl who (I didn't know this at the time, is really weird and racist and judgmental), and we joined a fun group of friends. Our friend group was 5 girls, each with different personalities. I was closer with 2 of them than the racist girl and another girl. I didn't know too many people, but in a year, I became so close with so many people who I love so much because of sports teams or just hanging out and meeting people or having classes idk. But going into high school, our group split. We literally all went to different groups except for the girl I was closest with and me. She's one of those girls who is extremely popular. Everyone loves her, and she's friends with literally everyone, including upperclassmen. She's so funny, and she's my best friend- but she's my only friend. We lost our squad, and we're friends with everybody, but there's no way we can join a new squad, and we don't know what to do. We love each other but it's weird sitting just the two of us- like we don't mind but we wish we were part of a larger group to like go to concerts or homecoming with.

So, I'm from Texas and I go to school in Maryland. I met one of my good friends during my freshman year. She transferred to a school 3 hours away but I went to visit a few times for long weekends or when we had plans to meet with our other friends from school. Anyway, this year I'm studying abroad. The semester doesn't start until April, so I'm here in Texas until then. I wanted to go up there for three days in Feb because I don't get to see her in the summer. Anyway, both flights would cost under $200, but when she found out I'd be flying she told me not to come and to save my momey, even though I said it really wouldn't be a big deal and that I wanted to. Is it really that big of a deal or is something else going on? She said we should hang out in the summer, but I spend my summers in Texas, of course, and she knows that.

My roomate and I have been attending a metropolitan university for two years now (in fact we met on the first day, and instantly clicked). I have had a fulfilling expirence thus far, filled with friends, parties, and deep exploration of a new city. My roomate, on the other hand, has not had the same experience I have had. She has had the same boyfriend since she was 15, and now that all her high school friends have moved away, I am her only friend. She and her boyfriend will stay in her room all weekend watching Netflix. I have seen them hibernate (litterally not leave the house once) for three days straight. Whenever she wants to go out, her boyfriend throws a fit, so she usually stays home, even when he isn t there. To top it off, they rarely go out (they refuse to go to most parties or concerts, and don t even go out to eat unless it s fast food delivery). I understand that not everyone wants to go out and explore all the time, but I m worried that her relationship will be unhealthy in the long run. Neither of them have friends, and neither of them have any hobbies. They see each other every day. They call each other on average 20 times a day. I m worried that this consuming relationship will hinder any chance of her finding herself or being independent. I know I have found confidence in myself when I ve been compleatly alone. Is this normal for a long term relationship? Will my friend turn out okay? Should I say anything or just let her make her own decisions?

My older sister (18 months apart) has a lot of followers on instagram, facebook, snapchat. And when we were in high school she'd always talk crap about me on social media whenever we got in a fight. I met Rebecca when I was 13 and we did a musical together in community theater. We stayed friends for 2 years and she made a new best friend and hated me during the musical we did in the summer of 2009. Is there anything else I can say to change her mind?

I have been friends with this girl for a little over a year and we used to always hang out. But, in the recent months she's been getting on not just mine, but several of my other friends nerves. It's gotten to the point where none of us want to invite her out anymore. If we do something without her and she finds out, she gets upset and has to make a comment on how she wasn't invited. It could be just be to run a quick errand with a friend and she get upset! We're not making plans without her on purpose or trying to keep it a secret from her, but if we invite her she tends to be bossy and get mad when we don't do what she wants. For anonymity purposes, let's call the girl Emily. So a while back I had my bat mitzvah and I didn't think to invite Emily, this is because we were not friends anymore. The people at the party were not on great terms with her either. For these reasons, I decided that it was for the best. I'm roomating with my friend and er Family, however my friends sister moved to cape Coral so the parents will go with her and her daughter since the parents can take of her while my friend sister works . They mostly all come back during the weekend but sometimes the father ones back early and he just gives me bad vibes. There's a couple people I've known who I finally accepted as phony friends. People who pretended to like me when we were in the same class, and then afterward ignored me. I am the only girl in one of my high schools classes (AP Math). It is a very tough class and all the guys in the class offered to help me study and do the problems? I often took them up on the offer. Whenever I'm with my friends, no matter what we're doing if we're being hyper or just sitting and talking, I feel very happy and a great sense of comfort. When I'm not with them, I feel very lonely and sad, almost like I'm depressed. If I don't hang out with them for more than a day or two I become this way. It's not that I don't like being alone, I actually do like it, but with my friends everything seems more clear.

Hi guys, im in a bit of a situation. A friend of mine has been sexually harassed many times by her step cousin. He even did it while i was on oovoo with her. The thing is he hasnt actually rhaped her or anything he just has attempted to finger her and i believe once he did succeed and been sticking his hands done her pants and kissing her and other things she probably hasnt even told me. But the real issue is he's 13 and she's 16, i want to file a police report but she wont allow me to and she keeps reassuring me thats shes fine but these things are not okay. She finally told her mom yesterday minor things such as him humping her but she leaves out major points because the guys brother is her sisters boyfriend and she doesn't want to be the reason they arent allowed to see each other anymore
