I've just known so many people who have had extremely expensive weddings, and get divorced a year later.

My friend is getting married (she's 24) and she met this guy online on a religious dating site. What's amazing though is that she doesn't work and her parents have no problems with that. She doesn't have her own place and she doesn't go to school. All she did was go on this site and she is getting married. Her fiance and her go out to eat and buy things all the time. Her fiance works but they have no bills, they live at her parent's home. I work, I am going to go to another college soon (I'm 23), I don't have my own place, but I have money. I have met no guy but my parents are super harsh on me about working and getting my own place. It bugs me how her parents don't care what she does and they are spending a lot for her wedding. I'm seriously amazed. I wanted to get married at 24 too to top everything else off. But I'm not meeting any guys. Why do her parents not care?
