Posted: 13 Jan 2016 08:07 PM PST We are eloping and want it to be on a mountainside near Gatlinburg if anyone knows about public locations or in a National Park, that would be great. Or even an actual venue fairly priced would be fine as well. |
Posted: 13 Jan 2016 07:42 PM PST its a sterling silver ring wrapped around it and it's rose with two leaves. I can't find it. Where I could find it for my girlfriend. We are getting married on June 10th 2016 |
Question: I want to marry but. . .? Posted: 13 Jan 2016 07:11 PM PST So I am currently 18 years old and will be turning 19 soon. I want to marry my boyfriend of officially 2 years since he is in the military and we both feel like we are each others "one". However my mother doesn't like him. She always yells at me saying I am stupid for liking a guy who isn't there physically and she denies that I have feelings for him on a daily. She has also tried to get the rest of our family against me for dating my boyfriend. I am currently in college and my boyfriend and I made a plan of getting married and I staying in Pa to finish college while he is in the army. I never was a social person so my goal has really been making long term friends at college. Part of us wanting to get married is about the benefits but also because we do believe we love each other. My siblings are overall supportive of our decision but wish for me to go through college without marriage; however what I choose they will help support us. His family is more than happy for us to get married and know that a wedding won't happen for a few years. |

Question: How To Tell Your Parents You Are Getting Married? Posted: 13 Jan 2016 04:15 PM PST Alright so my boyfriend and I are both 19 and have been dating for a year. He is currently in the Marines and is pretty much stationed across the country right now. We have been talking about marriage a lot recently because it makes sense for both of our futures. I just don't know how to tell my parents or how to start the conversation with them. |
Question: Would you marry someone just cause your parents want you too? Posted: 13 Jan 2016 01:36 PM PST Say you didn't really know this man and you were 18 and him 29 and you spoke to him a few times at church but did not like his personality and they want you to have children as well but you dont want them.but your parents don't listen when you say you do not want to marry him but it means a lot to your parents that you marry him But then what do you do if you don't want to do it but you don't want to disappoint your parents and you still live at home with them and cannot afford to move out |
Question: Orlando, FL Vow Renewal Location Suggestions? Posted: 13 Jan 2016 01:29 PM PST My siblings and I are looking to surprise our parents with a Vow Renewal for their 30th wedding anniversary. It's only 10 of us family, so- Looking for suggestions on somewhere pretty, and/or quiet, and as inexpensive as possible. I understand this is a big surprise, however our parents have always told us they wanted to renew their vows, and in Florida as well. (which, we will be vacationing on the day of their actual anniversary) This is not a question of whether or not our parents would like this. We know that they would be thrilled to be surprised with a well thought out ceremony in their honor, that once again, they have always wanted to do. All I am looking for is suggestions for places. Thx |
Question: Would you let a bachelor party come between you and your fiancee? Posted: 13 Jan 2016 11:29 AM PST My best friend and her fiance are at odds over bachelor/bachelorette parties. She's 44 and he's 45. She thinks they're too old for the traditional raunchy parties. He says it's a tradition for a man to go to a strip club for his bachelor party no matter how old he is. She feels strongly about it but so does he, so they're at an impasse. I asked my husband for his opinion and he said he's staying out of it (smart man, I guess). What do you think? Would you go to a strip club for your bachelor party even if your fiance told you she really doesn't want you to? |
Posted: 13 Jan 2016 10:50 AM PST So straight to the point, my fiance is Christian and I'm an Atheist. Id rather skip the prayers and they would like to include them. How would you compromise? |
Question: Orlando Vow Renewal Wedding Suggestions? Posted: 13 Jan 2016 09:27 AM PST Looking to surprise parents with a quick vow renewal for their 30th wedding anniversary. It's only 10 of us family, so- Looking for suggestions on somewhere pretty, and/or quiet, but most importantly free! Orlando FL Vow Renewal Wedding Location Suggestions? Not sure why some people are saying we shouldn't do this. Maybe I should have mentioned that 1. My parents have always WANTED to renew their vows. 2. Have wanted to renew their vows in FL 3. The day of the Vow Renewal is their actual Wedding Anniversary, and wanted to do something special. This is not a question of whether or not they would like this. I'm PRETTY sure I know what my parents would like and dislike, after almost 30 years. All I am looking for is suggestions for places. Thx |
Question: Secret wedding planner kickbacks? Posted: 13 Jan 2016 09:13 AM PST Does anyone know of a tactful way to ask my planner if she has a commission structure with her recommended vendors? Honestly, she's a great planner and I really like her, but we're already paying her a lot as is. I'm starting to suspect that the vendors I'm getting through her are marking things up on my bill to pay her referral commissions, which I'd really not be okay with -- *especially* if it's undisclosed to me. If they want to pay her commissions, I'm fine with that - but if that's the case, *they* need to pay it; I'm not willing to have those fees passed along to me when I'm already paying her thousands of dollars. Considering that we hired her hoping that she'd save us money by knowing the ins and outs of the industry (and told her so at the interview), markups really weren't in our plan when we hired her. Is there a way for me to ask her if she's doing this, or is this something I should have specified up front and now the moment has passed? Is there anything I can do? |
Question: Rehearsal Dinner - Who all does the grooms parents pay for? Posted: 13 Jan 2016 06:51 AM PST For the wedding rehearsal, who all does the grooms parents pay for? Just the bridal party? |
Question: How much to spend on 6 bridesmaids, 2 being maid of honors? Posted: 13 Jan 2016 12:38 AM PST My wedding is in september, I've looked at alot of gifts already, and I have a few questions too. Two of the 6 bridesmaid are from far out of town. I live in IL, one girl is traveling from PA and another girl from Hawaii. Do I give the traveling bridesmaids equal or better gifts than the others? Also how much more should I spent on maid of honors? I was thinking $50 each but I feel thats too low somehow. Also, do I give them quality/nice jewelry or like $30 jewelry thats personalized kinda thing? I just don't know! ;o; Also I am thinking of helping pay for their make-up later on. |
