Posted: 12 Jan 2016 04:40 PM PST My friend started commenting my name on this guy's picture with another girl, and I called her a side hoe when I was just joking around and didn't mean it at all. I then deleted my comment quickly. Then the girl's friend tells me that thirsty hoes need to get off the picture, and my friend's like "yeah @me" which made me upset, because I felt she turned her back on me. Then the guy started telling the both of us to get off his picture, and then he deleted the picture a few days later. This happened like two weeks ago. Then today we see the 3 of them, and the girl was like "they were the ones who commented on the picture" and then they were making fun of my weave, and were all like "Does she not know what Brazilian is?" Then they were saying "what's good?" Then my friend was like I want to be friends with them because they're popular, fire, and they're honest. Then she get's up and tells them to come over and I apologized, and she was all like "do you even know him?" And my friend was like "no" and she was like "Well that's stranger danger, have a good night" and I was like "you too" And I asked my friend on our way out why she wanted to apologize, and she said that they weren't like our squad and that our squad were snakes, and made her feel about herself. When she's literally the one to bring others down, and make them feel like crap. I'm very upset, I didn't mean for this to go far at all. But I don't know if I have the right to be upset at my friend or not. |

Me and my friend have been getting really close we would do everything together have a sleepover every weekend we cared so much about each other and never wanted to lose each other or so i thought. She has been hanging with people she said she hated and i don't mind i want her to have friends but recently she has been changing she has been acting really mean to me and being different s i don't understand so then she just decided that we shouldn't be friends and said i was holding her back meanwhile i was always bringing her up when she was sad i was always there to listen and help her through tough times i am happy she has more friends than just me but i didn't want to lose her completely i feel like i have no one to talk to and i lost half of me and i can't tell her how sorry i am because she wants nothing to do with me and i can't move on because I'm constantly hurting |

I'm a freshman, and i haven't really made any friends this year because of my social anxiety.(I also go to an all girls school) I really want to go, and i know i probably won't have a date, but i don't have any friends to go with either. I couldn't go alone, because I wouldn't make myself do that. I talk to this girl on snapchat who goes to my school, but not really in person. I'm kind of acquaintances with a couple people, but I'm very quiet in school. Any tips on how to make friends quick so I can get invited? Everytime people talk about it i feel horrible and wish I had made friends sooner. I feel as if everybody has made friends and I'll be alone for the rest of my high school years. I wish I was more outgoing and talkative, but my social anxiety has basically ruled my life for the past couple years. She's been working at Wal*Mart for over a year but found out recently that one of her colleagues is also a cousin from her mother's side. So, he was at there as well. I just got off the phone with her. When I said 'Hello?' after being handed the phone she started, "Kathy?" "Yeah?" "[name] likes you…" "What?" At the party, he and I didn't talk to each other. Shortly after I arrived, I just sat in a seat 'cuz it was the only vacant one at a table where everyone else was, and it happened to be next to him. He may have glanced at me only once or twice unintentionally when we were sitting at the table in the beginning and seemed normal. Why did my friend's co-worker/cousin take a shine to me altho we saw each other only once? I kept to myself and I'm unfriendly. |

I have a few friends that are really close, and our group is about middle-class popularity. The thing is, I recently discovered that I loved theater, and I was really good at it. The thing is, I knew my friends thought it was a bit stupid. I auditioned for the play, without my friends knowing, which I realize wasn't the best choice I ever made. I just didn't want them to know until, or IF I got in. A few theater buddies knew. Today, my friend found out about my audition, and now she's giving me the cold shoulder. I don't know if it's because I didn't tell her, or if she thinks it's stupid. Please tell me what to say, do, or what??? We're going to a movie soon, maybe I could say something there... He's only lonely because everyone under his "social status" he is super mean to. In my junior year (which was two years ago), she left school and went to teach in another school in a different city. I remember I cried on the day before she left, and she gave me a big hug and encouraged me to keep working hard for my future. We even hanged out to have coffee... She then blocked me on Facebook just "right after" she left. I didn't know what she meant. I even tried to contact her a few times via emails, but she "never" respond. We had no interaction at all in the past two years Okay, here is the thing- this year, I go to graduate school, which is the "same school" with this teacher. I am not her student now, but I see her every day at school. Every time she sees me, her eyes quickly glance at me without even say hi to me, and she would just walk very fast, which gave me no chance to speak to her. I am so sad. I wish to like befriend with her again, just like go back to my college time. What should I do to solve this relationship? |

We are in a program and the boss of the staff said that I cannot use the downstairs bathroom. Cos she(My roommate) says I plugged it up 3 different times which is not true so she says I cannot use it. The company knows she makes things about about other clients and staff too. My mom & dad want me to get another roommate cos of this and she doesn't like to do anything. My mom and dad says including my aunt say I can use the downstairs bathroom cuz I pay half the rent and I lived here first. The bathroom is NOT in her room and I have a bathroom in my room. But I don't like going number 2 in my bathroom cuz it plugs up easily. And the toilet has allot of problems. So I use the downstairs bathroom instead. What should I do? 3 different times I had to have the plumber fix the toilet in my bathroom and that cost allot of money. Also it took me like 2 hours to unplug it too. I tried explaining it to the one two staff and the boss of the staff and she says that I cannot use it. |

Well to start off, we're not best friends. She always makes that clear. Like if something comes up like a school event she never wants to come because she says she wants to go with her best friend. Which is understandable, but you'd think once in a while she'd wanna come. She also never wants to hang out with anyone but her best friend. My friends and I usually ask her if she wants to hang out on the weekends, but she rarely says yes. And if she says yes it's because her best friend can't. By now most people would've cut off the friendship, but it's really hard because we're so close. We tell each other literally everything and we've been doing so since kindergarten. We have so many memories, and it feels like she doesn't care. I do though, I've always considered her like a sister. Most recently, it was my birthday my other friend and I asked her to go out with us for my birthday, and she was going on about how she did want to go, but at the last second cancelled. I don't know what to do because whenever we do hang out we have so much fun but the only time she'll go out is if she has nothing better to do. It's frustrating. |

We became best friends and met as a group and would always hang out together, we had a lot of fun and silly moments. As the group slowly fell apart and we went out separate ways, me and my best friend kept talking... but now... I realized we have nothing in common and we talk just because we talk. I realized we have less and less to talk about and we have come to the realization that we talk just because we have no one else. I guess we get along, but conversations are stale and one dimensional since we don't have anything in common. I should point out though that even though we don't always agree, we don't argue and we aren't toxic to one another. We're just there... Now that she is visiting Germany and there is a huge time gap we talk less and less, and when we do talk we don't have much to say. Have you ever had a friendship like that? What do you suggest? |

I was in a panik and i was rushing to call her and tell her something,because she wasnt at school, and a classmate,whom my friend hates,because she is very hypcritical and mean, asked me to pick her bag from the room because she had frgotten it,i did it without thinking because i was just in such a hurry to tell what i had to, and as im on the phone my best friend heard it and she was furious with me and I barely talked with her until yesterday for a short while, where she said" It will pass, dont sweat it" and i just keep my distance because i dont want to force myself upon her, and just give her space. But im just so frustrated because i see her talking with everyone accept me, and all this happened at the worst possible time. were graduating highschool in a few months and ill just be devastated if we just drift appart, all my other close friends say, just give her time and space, but keeping my distance for almost a week now, its just eating me up inside . I took out her Memory card and put it down somewhere and haven't been able to find it. I searched my entire house and cleaned everything so I think it might have accidentally gotten thrown away or something. I didn't know what to do and I was freaking out. I have a camera of my own and I had an idea. I put the memory card from my camera into hers. Her old memory card didn't have any personal pictures that would mean something to her, only pictures of our school band, orchestra, academic classes, and other things that we took you yearbook (our elective). She realized that I switched the memory cards and asked for hers back.i don't know what to do. What should I tell her. Please don't say things like be honest or tell her you lost it. After having a bad car wreck that injured me so ever since then I've had panic attacks. I'm seeing a therapist and even my therapist told me i need to take a break from driving to learn how to manage my panic attacks . While my boyfriend is 25 with NO CAR, hes not driving cause he got a DUI last year and got his license suspended. He claims he's too broke to get another car and he "doesnt need one" cause he lives in the city and i have a car . He has always dependented on my transportiation for us to see each other its been like this since all of last year. We even didnt see each other on christmas or new years cause he couldn't get a "ride" to my house for christmas . And yesterday we were suppose to see each other but I told him that my therapist told me i shouldn't drive right now and he was a total dick saying "Ok its fine i guess i'll see you next month MAYBE" and ever since then he's been ignoring me SHOULD I DUMP HIM OR NAH? oh yea he even forgot our anniversary last week and didnt get me sh!t for christmas |

(i swear to god i had no intention of saying this. it's just when i'm angry i say stuff like this.) and my friend beside me was like "bro that's so sexist" he then snitched to everyone in the classroom and now everybody hates me.i tried telling everybody that is was unintentional but they didn't believe me. there is even a girl who actually kicked me in the testes today cause i said something sexist and it still hurts even when i try to pee.(i got hit about 6 hours ago.) seriously tho i didn't mean to say that. i need help |

So when I was walking into the woods we both walk through she was about 50 yards in front with her two kids and dog and I started to catch her up. As I did she pulled over to the side with her dog to let me through and as I walked past she said "Your dogs are well behaved." I said "They are just putting on a show" and walked on. A few days later she was walking toward me in the woods and had a neutral face. As I got within 10 yards she then suddenly looked with a big smile and said "you are alright" and I said hello and carried on. Im not very good with human body language and facial expressions and Im wondering if she wanted to talk to me and get to know me? |

They would always go and hangout with their other friends and not me. I also came to the realization that if it wasnt me initiating contact with them then we probably wouldnt be friends at all. The sad part is that they told me that im special and important to them. I told them that i didnt want to be thier friend anymore. Ive told older people about this and they said to forget about it becuase after high school its very likely you wont even talk to anyone you made a relationship with, so it doesnt matter at all. The male teacher that I have for that class is usually very chill and nice he also throws in sarcasm here and there but you can tell when he does. Since I started sitting next to my guy friend aka. big brother from another mother my teacher has been strange towards me/us. One time my friend was pulling on one of my curls because it's always fun to watch it spring back in place I guess and my teacher came by and put out his hand ready to interfere physically and he spoke "don't touch her." The second time was today and it was very embarrassing. We had finished our work and I decided to write my friend a question on his paper and it was nothing personal or "love" related. My teacher felt the need to say out loud "you guys can't handle sitting next to eachother if you continue writing eachother love notes." I got so embarrassed and it was nothing like that. I'm always on top of my stuff in his class and I rarely talk. He's started to be kind of a jerk once I sat next to my friend. There's other people in his class that are loud and misbehave terribly but he doesn't tend to yell at them or call them out. My teacher is not old or cabby by the way, he is young and married, has a child, and is a coach for wrestling at my school and I suppose nice looking. Any ideas on why he's being so strange now? My friend/friends will text me and I'm just uninterested and i will either give a basic response or not reply at all. During the day i just feel like sleeping i don't talk to anyone i just sit there. Ive actually absorbed myself more into my schoolwork than usual. Is this normal am i going through some weird stage?? I don't know what to do because i just feel weird like I'm not even in reality. With my friends i feel like i just don't click with them anymore. I just want to know if this is normal or not. |

Posted: 12 Jan 2016 12:06 PM PST It's really starting to get to me, I've always been annoyed I just haven't said anything but it's getting worse , so it started one day when she started calling me dumb, we were playing a board game with my two other friends and she said "how did she win she can't even count to 10" jokingly then laughed , but then she called me dumb about 5 times that day. She also always has something to say about my outfit , always picks apart something wrong with it. Almost everyday. She calls me annoying all the time, and in gym today in school she flipped about on me and called me annoying , I looked at her and said why are u flipping out and she said cause I'm so annoying . Like Idek. It's pissing me off tho like I'm always nice to her and I can't take it anymore, I then gave her dirty looks the rest of the day, I just don't get how I'm annoying, or dumb, and what's wrong with my outfits and I'm sick of it she constantly puts me down what do I do bc we are all In a friend group , her and about 8 other girls |

I've told her that it's very unhealthy and she should stop doing it, but she doesn't listen to me. I asked her what's wrong or if there was something bothering her, but she denies it. I met 3 girls in one of my classes and got on really well with them at the start, we did everything together and I saw a long lasting friendship with all of them. We went out for a meal for one of their birthdays and then they all wanted to go out after the meal, I ve got bad anxiety but I didn t want to ruin the night, I told one of my friends about it while the other 2 went to the toilet and she explained to them when they got back about it and we decided to head back to my friends place and watch movies. I felt really bad about it and apologised to them and they said it was fine and not to worry. However quite recently I ve been feeling left out and isolated as they ll go off and get food without me, meet up outside of college and not tell me & I don t feel part of the conversation. They re all going on a trip together for a week and I m not going. I don t know what to do as I ve already mentioned to them before about feeling a bit left out. I don t want to come of clingy and desparate but I don t want to lose friendship with them either. I would really appreciate any advice, thank you. |

You are right but I am asking anyway. Here goes. My neighbors kid got hit by a car a couple of months ago. She got the settlement check from the insurance about a week ago. Almost every day she comes home with new stuff. Her and her best friend have matching outfits and the best friends boyfriend has a new hovercraft toy. I live right across the street and my office window faces directly at her front door. I don't even notice anything until they ride up and unload the best friends car and go right into the house. I notice and then I try to put it out of my mind thinking to myself that it is none of my business. But then when her girls come over and are playing with my girls and I hear her talk about what her mom bought, it just frustrates me. I want to go over there and suggest that she put the money in a trust. But it is still NONE OF MY BUSINESS. And her daughters are gifted. Both of them. They go to public school half the day and then to a school for gifted children the other half. One is in a class with my daughter and the other is best friends with my other daughter. College is expensive these days and I opened an interest earning account for my girls before they were even born courtesy of a life insurance policy when my mom died. It's hard not having any money living paycheck to paycheck and all of a sudden you got money to burn. |

Recently he started doing all sort of weird things to me, why is he doing it? is he making fun of me or is it a game he is playing? for example today earlier he came around we were gonna play videogames and when he came he pressed me against wall and kissed me, but he sticked his tongue in my mouth... eek why would he do that, isnt that gross to guys? or when we are playing or chilling on the couch he asks if i want a massage and starts to massage my boobs. Posted: 12 Jan 2016 10:54 AM PST Context: I have a close group of friends and we have to deal with someone who believes he is a part of our group. We will call the unwanted person "Jim" to go along with the explanation. Our biggest hate about Jim is his inability to have some tact about certain topics to discuss in public. For example, he will loudly talk about gang groups and how African Americans are violent. Our university does have fair number of African American students and I have to consistently tell Jim to be quiet about such sensitive topics. Jim has stated that he has a mental condition and does take medication to stop his verbal diarrhea, but he still fails to be a sensible person. Jim also keeps repeating what he has said in the past, even though everyone is aware of what he has told us before. "Did you know that my dad is bisexual" - Jim. "Yes, we know. You tell us every time." - Everyone. There are also times where he knocks on the door of our dorms just to check on us. There was a moment when someone knocked on my door and sure enough I saw Jim through the door peephole. I ignored his knocks and went to my laptop for about 10 minutes, however Jim continued to knock on my dorm. Is there a way where I can subtly detach Jim from me and my group? |

I feel ugly and kids at school pick on me every day. I've always wanted to be a singer and pianist but a girl says I'm not, and never will be, as pretty as Jackie Evancho or Connie Talbot. They have blonde hair, clear faces (without pimples at all), attractive facial features and 10-times better overall attractiveness, where as I have black hair, a few pimples (about 6, maybe), and though I have round eyes I do look a little Chinese (they aren't thing eyes). I feel ugly and when I see pictures of Jackie Evancho and Connie Talbot it makes me sad because I feel like I couldn't be a pretty as them. I wish I look more like them. They've never had to deal with pimples and they're my age! And they were discovered at a young age, where as no one knows my name or wants to. There's one girl who says that "I'm just plain and ordinary but other girls are unique and far prettier than me." I have a music competition coming in April and I'mm not feeling very confident right now, in terms of being able to play with confidence and feeling pretty. :( |
