I got fired from my job a few months ago and a week later, he says "this has arguably been the hardest thing he has ever done.. to separate himself from the woman i love" and asked that i give him his space because if he does come back to a relationship with me, he wants to be all in "with marriage and the whole 9." We have had some encounters over the last four months, including a full blown public argument that led me to hit him (i know) and have met up to talk about our situation to where he said he still loves me and misses me. But the last straw was when he didn't do anything for my birthday but send a lousy text message. Up until then, we hadn't returned each others' things, but i decided to do it then. Now i am at a crossroads. I still love him and I am having a hard time letting go. We have blended lives and families (we spent holidays together, i am the only one who has met his family and his sister contacts me every week to check up on me) and I have literally been in love with him since I was 18 and every day it is more confusing. I know time waits for no one, but I dated other people during our "off" phase (which lasted at the most for almost 2 years) and know I don't want anyone else but him (i'm 27 and he is 30). Should I wait it out and give him his space or should i move on? |
