Question: I need some party favor ideas please? Posted: 31 Jan 2016 10:30 PM PST Hello I am helping plan a party and need some help in "branding" the party favors ie. the giveaway gifts we are giving to the guest. By branding I mean I want to somehow have the guest of honor name, d..o.b (its a milestone birthday) or some kind of reminder of the special event...just like people do for weddings. The guest of honor is turning 90! So it's a big deal. |
Posted: 31 Jan 2016 10:11 PM PST I ve seen numerous poems about the bride and groom asking guest to contribute to the honeymoon. However, My fiancé and I do not want to do that. But instead, put that money towards a new mattress and possibly a new bedroom suit. On account that none of the furniture in our bedroom matches each other. Will you please help us in writing a poem to stick with the invitations? |
Question: Should I have a reception or a honeymoon? Posted: 31 Jan 2016 07:40 PM PST My husband and I got married a few months ago but we haven't told anyone. We just Went to the court house and planned on having a 'reception' in May to announce our marriage. We needed time to save but didn't want to wait to get married. We will have less money than we expected saved by then. We can either have a reception in our back yard and spend all the money or go on a honeymoon and spend half as much. We have 3 children so some time away would be nice but then again I'm afraid I'll regret not doing something for our 'wedding'. Husband said the choice is mine but I can't decide... |

Question: I am getting married in June.? Posted: 31 Jan 2016 03:46 PM PST We are having the wedding and reception at our church. It is a rustic/glam theme and we are having the reception outside. There is no dancing allowed at our church. I was bummed about this at first because I really wanted a father daughter dance with my grandpa. I didn't so much care about the first dance with my finace cause I know how much he hates dancing and I just don't see it as that important anyways I found ways to still do the dance with my grandpa and stuff like that. My grandpa and I are going to video record us dancing somewhere different and play it during the reception. I am also going to put together a slideshow of pictures of my husband and I and show that instead of doing our dance. So I have some things planned for the reception and as of right now we are serving a dinner. That might change though depending on a couple of things. Anyways my main question is besides the dinner and the videos I will be showing. What are some good ways to keep our guest entertained during the reception? Would playing games be to out there and weird I guess? I am majorly stressing over this and I think once I figure the reception out I will be able to breath a little bit. |

Question: My fiancee wants to go to a strip club before our wedding ? Posted: 31 Jan 2016 03:12 PM PST My brother convinced him to go to a strip club for his bachelor party (my brother is arranging it). Honestly, i'm not very happy about it because i'm only having a girl's night (without male strippers). I'm also not into those kind of parties nor alcohol. lol i sound like such a prude, but i hope someone understands me, what should i do? |
Question: How to respond to people requesting people to apart of your wedding party? Posted: 31 Jan 2016 03:04 PM PST My fiance's aunt is upset that her ten-year-old grandson isn't apart of the wedding party, despite her two sons, teenage granddaughter being grooms and a bridesmaid. Now I had offered for him to be an usher because we had our party set, and everyone else seemed fine with that because- what ten year old boy cares about being in a wedding?, And my neices and nephews have claim on ring bearer and flower girls. So fast forward when we've moved on and are planning the small details, and we get an indirect text from his aunt who thinks that her grandson should be a groomsmen- and his mother on her sister's behalf, asks us on his aunt's behalf. Now I see his Aunt in a week, and I have to tell her what she did was unacceptable and rude, but I'd rather not have to yell at her for it, so How should I respond? |
Question: Song to Walk Down Aisle to? Posted: 31 Jan 2016 01:43 PM PST Been dating for four years & decided to start checking out our wedding songs. Question: Where can I find a bridesmaid dress within my budget? Posted: 31 Jan 2016 01:24 PM PST I recently went to a bridal shop to find a bridesmaid dress where they had a promotion for 20 dollars off each dress. It turns out that most of them were still expensive. My friend who is getting married gave me the swatch and the length size has to be floor-length. I spoke to one of the bridesmaids who already got her dress and I saw what she spent which is not near my budget range. The consultant I spoke with today told me that it should be probably be the same fabric as the other bridesmaid because if it isn't it will look weird in pictures but I heard that's okay to switch fabrics as long as it's the same color. Anyway, there is another place that has them for 80 dollars. I was really looking for one for around 60 dollars. Are there any other places I can look? |
Question: Looking for a gothic wedding venue in Glasgow that doesn t cost much.? Posted: 31 Jan 2016 01:11 PM PST Been searching the internet for a venue to get married in that would be preferably to a gothic style. Most places only give a set menu which most of the stuff on it we don t like. Seen so many absurd prices for food and function hire. Just wondering if anyone has any tips on any aspects of places, food, prices etc |
Posted: 31 Jan 2016 07:08 AM PST My fiance and I became engaged on Christmas Day. I'm so excited to marry the love of my life. We are going to skip having a traditional wedding. We want to have a very casual, laid back, jean and t-shirt wedding, with a BBQ reception. Neither of us want our guests to ruin their clothing. So how would should we word a wedding invitation to reflect the atmosphere of our wedding? @ Akierra, I like that phrase, "I Do BARBECUE". I think that you've helped me solve my problem. Thank you! |
