We talked a bit on the bus and I decided to add him as a friend on Facebook. Later that day he posted a picture of me about to eat my meal looking down at the food (I didn't know he took a picture of me also) along with a long paragraph about how kind I was and how I was a good friend. Although he was friendly, I still taken aback by it. |

We text all day long and everything's always fine but then I'll send a message and it randomly won't say "delivered" underneath. Sometimes I try sending it as a text message but I still don't get an answer. Then hours later he'll text me again. He usually thinks I never answered or he'll say something like "you're a sleepy head" cause he thinks I fell asleep. I have trust issues so I'm not sure what to believe. She has been treating me awfully since she adopted a little girl five years ago. She treats her like royalty and ever since the girls arrival, I am nothing to her. She moved here last year and I took her in. I was one of her first friends here. Then she started becoming friends with lots of people and started changing. As she got more friends she has started pointing out things that are irrelevant such as that I only had 2 friends before her, saying I don't have many guy friends, implying I'm clingy (she asked to hang out all the time after school not me) and implying I don't have a social life (I talk to around 7 people and am close friends with 2 of them). She also got upset when I didn't include her in plans with my friend that doesn't go to our school. I run for office in a club I love and she planned to run against me. I only do a few clubs and she does many. I told her my dream job which most people don't even know much about this profession and now she wants to do that too and is claiming she gave me the idea even though I told her the job description of it. It feels like everything is a competition between her and I don't know what to do. Some people think she might be jealous or threatened by me but I'm average, low key, quiet at times, have only had one boyfriend and have a few close friends and a handful of acquaintances. In the past we have been the greatest of friends, but recently that has started to change. Out of the three of us, I'm the only one who is actually trying to do well in school, go to college and get his life together. They're the type of students who don't even try in school, but the moment they see an F on their report card they blame it on everyone else but themselves. All they do is sit around smoking weed, drinking, watching TV and playing video games. I used to smoke weed, drink, watch television and play video games with them, but that was when we were in middle school and part of our freshman year. The fact that we're pretty much done with high school and this is all they do with their time really bothers me. Whenever I confront them on this, they just get mad and they seem to get salty whenever I talk about school or going to college. I really hate saying that I'm "smarter" than other people because I feel that doing so makes me sound arrogant, but I feel like I can't even have a decent conversation with them simply due to the fact that I know and understand things more than they do. To be honest, I feel like the only reason I go around them now is because I don't have anyone else to hang out with and I absolutely hate that. I transferred from public to online in the beginning of the first junior semester. Moving around impacted my social life from 6-7 friends my freshman to one my junior.My reasoning for explaining this is so that you understand that I am not just exaggerating my lack of socialization.I find that a lot of kids complain about having "no friends!" when they have more than 10.I met Brea last year. We continued to text in the summer which is when I asked her if she wanted to see a movie with me.That day I really wanted to get out of my house because I needed a break from my emotionally abusive parents who I am around 14/7 (they also work from home). Don't worry I am going back to public my senior year. Ever since, I started to ask her more often. She has only half-assed asked once. I don't care about our friendship so much as I care about getting out of the house. She has a car. What bothers me is that I feel like I disinterest her. Sometimes I text her, she won't reply then I see her posting on instagram. I think she just hangs out with me because she feels bad for my situation with my parents. I mean she seems to be bored around me. It annoys me how she is always the one who leaves it up to me. I hate suggesting anything because then I feel like I am forcing the person to go somewhere they might not like. The problem is, her family is extravagantly rich. Like, actual billionaire rich. It's embarrassing for me, because even though my friend is the most down to earth person ever and never ever flaunts her money, my family and I live in this tiny, crappy apartment in Brooklyn and are sort of anything but rich. I feel like my crush and his friend think I'm a nerd now because they stopped talking to me and coming near me. I would feel them looking at me because they were sitting right behind me when I was writing. I feel embarrassed now. I'm in high school. What do you think of this situation and what should I do? |

Then some people were talking about me and they said "she doesn't talk". Everyone heard it including my crush. I always sit there quietly and don't participate in conversations when the teacher is choosing on students to answer questions or when a group of students are talking. I keep quiet because I feel like I'm going to embarrass myself if the teacher chooses on me or if I talk to the group of people who are having the conversation. I'm in high school. What do you think of this situation and what should I do? |

But that girl happens to be one of my extremely close friend. Today they had altercation when my bff bounced shoulders with the other girl (my close friend). I was in the middle. and when it was over my bff told me to go with her to the cafe but my close friend told me to go with her instead. I chose my close friend. My bff cursed me off after. |

| Question: Will this squad ever disband? Posted: 15 Jan 2016 01:56 PM PST So a group of kids im associates with in school I used to be good friends with some of them. The ones I was friends with dropped me like a fly and never talk to me anymore. One of them talks to me in school because we have classes together. Before they dropped me a person came in and started a squad with them. No one out of that never bothers to call me or anything anymore so I was just wondering if that squad will ever disband. |

In PE, my "friends" were laughing. I was letting out a few chuckles now and then but they were very small and quiet. The PE teacher tells me if I don't stop I'll get sent to the principal's office. Sometime after, my teacher hands me some math I need to complete. I frown, and she says: "Excuse me!?" While YANKING the paper away. Fast fowarding. My friends are talking in class during an assignment. I look at them, teacher takes our papers away. Wtf. I wasn't even doing anything. Fast fowarding, My friend Lenn gets upset and mad at me for just talking to her. No one talks to me at cheer practice. I hate middle school so much. Hgh. |

It's been a few months now but I feel like things are awful. I literally have zero friends. There are a few girls I kind of hang out with. They let me sit with them and eat lunch with them, but they don't say a word to me. They never ask for my opinion or ask if I wanna hang out with them after school. They only talk to me if they want something from me. And they ALWAYS leave me behind. If I try to talk they often talk over me, interrupt me, or simply act as if they don't care about what I have to say. I try really hard to be nice to them but obviously they don't appreciate my company and it makes me feel sooo bad because I have no one else to hang out with. I feel nervous about school all the time, especially in the morning, because I know I'm about to spend like 6-8 hours around people who treat me like air. I feel so ******* lonely. I can't talk to my parents about it because I'm not close to them in that kind of way. I miss my friends in my previous school so much. And my grades are dropping too. It's so hard to study when you're feeling nervous all the time. I have 2,5 years left until I graduate but I don't wanna feel like this about school any longer. What do I do? |
| Question: Is what my teacher did inappropriate? Posted: 15 Jan 2016 01:24 PM PST I'm in the 8th grade. There's this group of people that usually hangout at snack and recess. The group is made of 3 sub groups. One group of boys, and two groups of girls who are all friends. Some of the girls try to hard to be the boys' friends and it may appear like they are flirting with each other. Sometimes they would all huddle up while whispering, and then start laughing uncontrollably leaving us to assume someone said something funny. For some reason these two teachers always think they're taking about something inappropriate and they want to know what they talk about. One of my teachers told a student to move out of the way so that she could look at the group. And they are always starting at the group and it is evident that both of the teachers talk to each other the group. So one of my teachers offered 3 students 15 extra credit points each to find out what the "gossip" is. Is this appropriate for a teacher to do? Could she get In trouble for bribing a student for information? |

When I was in middle school I thought it was high school, and that was proven false :(. I'm content with having just one friend from high school who I can say 30 years from now "we've been friends since we were 16". But life is going in different directions.... So is college more promising ? |

| Question: Friend Drama Help!!!!? Posted: 15 Jan 2016 12:53 PM PST FRIEND DRAMA. There are three of us. Friend A Friend B Me Friend A=super nice and we hang out all the time. Friend B and I never hang out. (she decided she didn t like me because I lived with my husband before we were married.) Friend A and Friend B hang out sometimes. Whenever the three of us are together, Friend B gives HUGE hugs to Friend A and will say, " oh my gosh I had so much fun hanging out with you last Saturday at the movies. " Then she will just look at me. Friend A then changes the subject. Any time they hang out, (which is like once a month) she makes sure that I know. She also will come up and invite friend A to like 10 things, then stare at me then walk away. Friend A and I hang constantly but I don t feel the need to rub it in Friend B s face all the time. Why is she acting this way? It makes Friend A and I really uncomfortable. |

Posted: 15 Jan 2016 12:36 PM PST We've been friends for a few years.In Secondary school she was that type of person to make weird noises, singing loudly randomly and everyone would look. She was harsh, she pushed, flicked and called me and other friends names thinking it was in a funny friendly way. I used to go along with it as we were young and I thought it was just for a bit of fun. Now were all 18 almost 19 so basically young adults; I feel the need to act my age and be mature but I know when's the right time to be silly. She's got a job and a boyfriend so I thought she'd grow up a bit. She still bursts out singing or making stupid noises when in public. Pushing, flicking calling us harsh names like "Tw*t" and "Idiot". Now it's annoying and hurtful, I don't know how to talk to her about it as she's been this way for so long. I can't help but distance myself from her, I don't know why but I feel bad in doing so. Any help is appreciated, I don't want to hurt her feelings just want her to understand it's not right. At the moment she keeps harassing me to hang out and skype like every night, it's getting tedious |
