Question: Can my fiancee and I un-ask a friend to be a groomsman? Posted: 16 Jan 2016 03:41 PM PST We have been planning our wedding for 2 years. My fiancee's friend agreed to be a groomsman. Now that the wedding is getting closer, we are trying to let everyone know their options for accommodations and how to get their suits, etc. The friend has not responded, and we've been reaching out to him for a month now. We're wondering what's going on and need to have definite answers from people that they're coming and have a reliable way of getting here (everyone is from out-of-state). |

Posted: 16 Jan 2016 12:37 PM PST Wedding question: I can't decide what to do with my wedding date. I am having my wedding at the ritz carlton laguna beach. They don't have any saturday dates left for this year. So they are offering me Oct 9 which is a sunday in peak season or I can do it in March 2017 (off peak on a saturday). The weather is better in California in Oct, less changes of rain as my weather is outdoors. It is an indian wedding so I have 3 days of events. I am not worried about people taking days off, but I am worried about looking cheap by having a sunday wedidng. The price is the same because we have 500 people and we reach the saturday minumum. Please give me advice! |
Posted: 16 Jan 2016 12:13 PM PST We ve been together for about 4 years and now have a baby due two weeks from now. Please don t judge! We got engaged a year ago. We want to get married next week at the court house and then later were planning for our big public wedding with friends and family. But what all do we need for the court wedding and how do we set it up? |

Question: Married in courthouse then wedding ceremony a year later? Posted: 16 Jan 2016 10:23 AM PST So he is in the Marines(20) (I'm 19 almost 20) and we were thinking of doing a courthouse wedding this summer so I could move back to Hawaii with him. Save up money for a year and then have our wedding party/ceremony a year later. We aren't super religious people so that doesn't play a part in the decision(wedding ceremony is going to be at a plantation house not a church). I just wanted some people's ideas on that. |

Question: Can you have 2 weddings in less then a year? Posted: 16 Jan 2016 08:19 AM PST My fiancé and I grew up in different states. He has always wanted to have a wedding in the church his great grandpa helped build many years ago. But I always wanted to get married at the fairgrounds that I grew up at. He wants a small wedding. I want a big wedding. We both want to make eachother happy. Is there any way that we could have both in less then a year? |
Question: Reception or Dinner after wedding? 10pts? Posted: 16 Jan 2016 12:19 AM PST I will be getting in April of this year. And i had a question that seems to be boggling my brain. Due to finances, we can only do one or the other. So these are my options that I currently have. The chapel we are getting married at does have a reception room that is wonderful and we look forward to it. They of course have menus of different types of meals they can supply. They also have a simple Cake and Cider ceremony. Down the street from the chapel is a fantastic restaurant with a banquet hall that can be rented out. The owner is a dear friend of mine and said he could arrange it to be reserved. Now, here is my problem. My two best friends (the maid of honor and best man) want to throw us a party afterwards. Also, considering all the guest that arrive, we feel insanely guilty if we didn't take them to dinner with us afterwards. I just want to know what sounds like a BETTER idea: Wedding then reception then friends party? OR Wedding then dinner then friends party? What do you think is best? |
