My friend and I were supposed to go to the grocery store today but last night she changed her mind and decided to go friday. I really needed to get some things so I just took the bus. She called me when I was at the store and asked me where I was at and I lied. I told her I was somewhere else. It was dumb of me to do and it all just happened so fast. For some reason I didnt want her to feel like I was upset because she couldn't go today. I came home and told her the truth and apologized. I still feel bad about it. |

I even offered to take the bus! Come on, I'm 17. We're supposed to be moving too. Not packing yet, so no one's busy. Open house this weekend, we're supposed to be away from home anyway, and it makes absolutely no sense to not allow me to go sleepover my trustworthy best friend's house. IN FACT, I'd be doing her a favor by getting out of her hair and not having to spend money to feed me for an entire day and a half. I just don't understand. I have incredible grades this year, and she saw them...... She's always changing her mind. First she says, "Yes" then five minutes later she yells at me, curses me out, and says no in the most immature of ways. Calling me ungrateful and whatnot. The thing is-- I'll never see my best friend again. Its a big, crosscountry move. She's just jealous, 'cause before she said yeah, she said she didn't have any bestfriends. Pfft idgaf, maybe because you act in a disrespectful way. Always talking **** about everyone but yourself. Im sick of it. |

Unfortunately, a few of my newer friends in college don't understand that and always want to text me every day and if I don't respond they'll text again and again throughout the day. And it starts all over again the next day. Its very annoying, and makes me not want to talk to them at all. I've tried explaining this before to another friend but she reacted poorly to that and we no longer speak at all because of it. I don't want to lose my newer friends, but I don't want to spend all week talking to them either. |

Her car broke down 4 months ago when her autistic daughter went back to school. She needed someone to put her on the small bus which comes right to our apartment building(we live in the same building) she gets a ride to work now.so I was like sure, so she's been dropping her off every morning at 7:30 mind you I have 3 kids of my own to get to school and daycare. Her daughters bus arrives at 8:15-8:25 so I'm peering out the window while trying to get my 3 yr old dressed for daycare, and myself for work. My other kids hopefully made there bus at 8am lol. So her daughter is on the higher spectrum for autism she's still able to understand a lot but not everything, my 3 yr old doesn't get along with her, they have little tiffs back and fourth. My question is was it alright to tell my friend she needs to find a someone to put her daughter on the bus in the morning a few times a week? I'm stressed out in the am dealing with it, btw I do it for free. Ty |

Sure that works. But that was last year and we are now best friends and of course as luck would have it I started devloping feelings for her again. Me and her are exactly the same tho my friends say she is the female version of me. And she says that's why we can't date because we are to similar that we don't click. But we talk about stuff that you usually wouldn't tell a straight guy who is your friend (hear is a hint it rhymes with "lastemation") and I want us to try it again but I don't know if she does and I don't want to get hurt again and loose her as a friend. It was mortifying, but it was also funny. We joked around about it and talked about after prom plans for a few minutes before the guy held out his hand and said "prom? Shake on it". There was just so much joking around surrounding the whole thing that I'm not sure f he was serious or not. The guy is naturally very funny, but he can be serious. I just can't tell. My guy friend thinks I'm being ridiculous, but I can't help but wonder. Im thinking about having my guy friend ask him if he's being serious or not, but I don't wanna seem that desperate. It's just that promposals are starting to happen and I want to "claim" this guy before it's too late... |

One of my childhood friend were rather broke and always follow the footstep of her sisters (not much to do with the question, but probably the reason she behaved like this, such as if her sisters smoke or did bad things, she did the same coz she wanted to be like them). Because she was broke, me and my parents often treated her on stuff, food when she was hungry and even bought cigaretts as a "birthday gift". But even if she said she was hungry and we bought her mcdonald and let her choose what she wanted, she refused to touch it. "Im not hungry anymore" as a response. When I asked her politely to smoke right front of my face when I bought her cigaretts, of course she didnt care and did it anyway even if I was sufffered from it (I'm very sensitive to sounds/smell ever since I was a kid). While when I was going to her friends house far away from house for a party, I was feeling a bit depressed and wanted home. They told me that I either should wait or walk home myself (a few miles in a forest). So her parents seems to hated me for some reason, maybe because I was stubborn and said no when I didnt want to do something with ther daughter. I dont remember. We were around 17-18 years old around that time and Ive knew her for since we were in kindergarten, but never understood why she acted like this. "please dont smoke in front of me, Im sensitive to it". Is that such a big thing to ask her not to do, as a friend? :L Im not native english so perhaps I expressed myself badly. xD Err, should "asked politely her to NOT smoke in front of me" Oh, Im not friend with this person anyway (grew apart as we got older), but the reason I asked because its something Ive been asking myself whether its something you should tolerate because you were a "friend" or break the friendship earlier. I'm a senior in high school and I have 8 friends (3 close friends) who I always talk to at school and sit with and chat with. We are always smiling when we are talking and engaging in eachothers conversations. I'm outgoing, friendly, polite and always myself. I joined this group of friends sophomore year and are much closer to them now (not really close) but we are all in the same friend group. They are always posting pictures on instagram of them or two of them together and I'm never in them. When I invite them to hang out they always do and have a great time but they never really invite me. They have a couple times but not a lot. Is it because I'm new to the group? Even my three close friends don't invite me to places a lot. They really enjoy talking to me though which confuses me. I'm in a popular friend group and I'm fairly popular but they are more so than me. It just kind of hurts that I'm their friend and I don't get invited to stuff a lot. Idk if it's cause I'm new or because I'm less popular (still kind of popular) for instance they have like 250 followers or more on twitter and I have 54 (I don't follow a lot of people I follow 48 I do know more people than I follow but I only really follow my friends) I only have two guy followers which are the only two guys I know and are friends with. Everyone says I'm really pretty but no guys ever really approach me except the two followers I have. Any ideas why? |

Over the years, I ve noticed that she uses people all the time. One of my roommates and I share an apartment so we always have food and whenever this friend comes over, she conveniently comes when it s lunchtime or dinnertime and asks one of us if she can eat this or that. Today, she invited my toommate and I to workout and she conveniently forgets to bring clothes and asks if one of us can bring her workout pants. She likes to visit the apartment a lot since she lives really far away from the university all of us go to. We understand that so we let her come whenever she wants. But whenever she comes, sometimes she stays for the rest of the day, napping on our couch because she s tired, using my makeup remover whenever she happens to stay past 6pm (she never buys makeup remover because it "costs too much"), and several other little things that don t really matter. My point is, it s fine to ask for favors time to time because we all need a little help sometimes but it s hella annoying to practically depend on people all the time to do very little things that people can usually do themselves (like pack their own lunch/dinner more often, buy their own makeup remover, etc My mom has told me before that my friend likes to do whatever is convenient for her and doesn t think about how others feel about it. Any advice? Comments? I m mad at her for acting selfish even though it s subtle |

If I try to ignore her, shell try contacting me on all other forms of social media, like snapchat and Facebook. She was cool at first, but now won't stop asking me to hang out with her, and when I hang out with other people she'll want me to stop hanging out with them and go with her.. She's gone as far as stalking my snapchat to see what I was doing.. so I blocked her from viewing my snaps... One of the worst things that she does is pees all over the toilet seats in the community bathroom and doesn't flush. And I mean ALL OVER. Even on the floor sometimes. She squats over it because she thinks they are dirty, but they are cleaned every 24 hours, and she obviously can't control herself enough to do it properly. It enfuriates me every time I see (at least once a day), and it is disgusting. But is it serious enough for me to tell her or the RA? Or should I get over it? |

She texted me &told me that while they were both drunk, they kissed &it got "physical",but they didn't do anything else.She told me that she stopped them from continuing &that they apologized.The next day,she tried to talk to him about it but he said "he didn't remember,so they should forget about it." I've known her since elementary school,we became close friends in high school,and we are now both in college. She got me upset tho, bc when she told me,she asked me not to tell him that I knew what had happened bc they decided to "forget about it".I've been trying to break up with him,but I can't bc I made a promise to her not to tell him.I'm all the way in college in another city so I'm stuck with him until I find a reason to dump him.But the prob is my relationship w/her,I told her I forgive her,but that I'm never gona talk to her again.It's been two days since she told me all this& we stopped talking |
| Question: Do I take the present out of the box? Posted: 28 Jan 2016 01:05 PM PST I bought my friend something off of Amazon for her birthday. It came in today but I'm not sure if I should leave it in the shipping and handling box it came in, since it has my address and what not on the front. Should I open it, take the present out, and just give her the present or give her the box as a whole so she can open HER present herself. What should I do or what would you do? Thank you. Update: The present inside of the box is already gift wrapped thanks to Amazon. Should I still keep it in the box or? |
| Question: Everybody thinks I'm a scumbag? Posted: 28 Jan 2016 12:47 PM PST My family has a bad reputation around here. My brothers are constantly in trouble with the law and are always in and out of jail. Weather its for a dui, drug possession, or even dealing. Whenever I have any contact with the police they tend to **** with me because of my last name. One time my buddy was over and when got in his car to leave a cop pulled up and started messing with him for coming out of my house and this happens with all my friends. I honestly think the house is being watched by the cops. My parents were the complete opposite,Old fashioned. My father was a hard worker and a veteran. He passed away when I was 9 due to cancer. My mother is still here, she's a sweet woman but she tends to pretend she doesn't know what's going on with my brothers and tends to baby them. The thing is Im not like my brothers. I've never been arrested, I don't mess with drugs, I go to college and actually have a job. Im 20 years old and was gonna wait until I got my degree to move out but I Just wanna get away from here because All my brothers are still here even though 2 are in their 30's. How should I deal with this? I honestly don't know If anything illegal is going on here because I don't associate with my brothers. All they do is sit in their rooms and drink all day. but still I'm sick of people thinking I'm like them |
| Posted: 28 Jan 2016 12:38 PM PST Is she jealous? Does she like him? or Simply didn't she hear that the question was towards me and not her? It happen a few times. The guy who had to aske me the questions didn't like her impolite behavior so the next time he had to come to my cubicle to ask me something he made sure to stand by my left side so she couldn't interrupt. Should I tell her it is impolite to interrupt or talk over someone's answer or she should know that as an adult she is? |

When I said goodbye I was pretty rude and said some stuff I didn't mean to say. I tried to apologize to her but she hasn't answered my emails yet. Posted: 28 Jan 2016 12:21 PM PST So today me and my friend were walking and we were talking about the kidnapping, and he said he didn't care about the person being kidnapped. I told him that was horrible, and started to describe all the grisly and perverted stuff that could happen, and when I turned around I saw one of my teachers was behind me and had heard everything I said. The Escher didn't do anything just gave me a disgusted face and walked off. Now I feel awkward as ****. What do I do? I have 3 close friends (I think I might have lost one of them today, I never seem to say the right things). I loose friends, I can never keep them. I had a friend in 5th, 6th, and 7th grade that I lost in 8th grade. I had another best friend in 7th grade that I lost in 8th grade. I have a really hard time speaking in front of a big crowd. I am really shy, unless around family members (some) and close friends. My grades are alright, I haven't been getting the best grades on projects and tests lately. I recently took a test and got a c. I CONSTANTLY have headaches. Sometimes my stomache might hurts I am over weight. Not a lot overweight, but not small either. I hate my body, I hate myself. I always seem to be in a bad mood. Anything can really annoying the **** outta me. Never find fun in any activity. Well thanks for reading about my boring lif. Do you think I have depression? I personally do not think I do. But lately I have been considering it. Even if I did, it wouldn't even be anywhere near severe. Thanks. I always just feel the need to cry. |

I live in a small flat with parents and grandparents and dont have my own room. I never had much friends and never had sleepovers. Some people would say my life is perfect, because my parents have a good relationship and because i have a lot of stuff i want although we are kinda poor. But the thing is materialistic things make us happy for a short period of time. I've always been the slowest in everything, running, understanding things.. I do not have any talents at all. I stink at singing, dancing, makeup, drawing, and am the worst in sports. I never had much friends and was bullied in middle school. Now that im in high school things got better but i still dont have friends. I can never chill out in public and some people say i look haughty but i dont. Im the most average girl you can imagine. I have problems talking to people cause im scared im gonna say something wrong, i start to stutter and everything becomes a mess. I always think negative and want to die. Help please. |

I had bad anxiety, and I did not realize I was taking my anger out on other people by doing that. I smiled at him and we had a normal conversation afterwards except I was anxious throughout it. I think the dirty look he just thought I was messing around. I also told him I went through anxiety recently. He does not know i was rude to him. Only I know that I was. How do I live with that? I'm not going to talk to him about because I don't want him to know. |

So I called them and they told me that I missed it. They told me they were waiting for 5 minutes and they left. I was so pisses off. I didn't even hear them!!!!! My cousin and sister were home and they didn't even tell me!!!!!!!!! They didn't honk their horn. Now I'm going to be very late for class!!!!!!!! I was suppose to meet up with a classmate at 11 and I tried to call her but she didn't answer. My class started 9 minutes ago and my teacher didn't answer her phone so I emailed her. I don't want my classmate to think I stood her up. GREAT THIS IS ALL MY FAULT!!!!! Actually its my rides fault. My neighbor can't give me a ride because his wife is using the car and my friends are at work and my parents are at work. |

My brother is 22 and she is friends with my sister too she's 18. And she makes fun of him and him her but then they just stopped and I was used to the idea that they would never be together. just to put our there she moved away. And now they have each others phone numbers and we flipped out and said that he wants to be with her and he's calling her his wife and when she talked to him behind our backs to ask him he said he never did and she keeps saying that he's just joking. Lies! It's a long story but to cut it short I need advice. Don't give me annoying answers saying the same stuff my mom says that I should just accept it. |

| Question: Why Do I Let People Go So Easily? Posted: 28 Jan 2016 09:43 AM PST I know the usual question is 'how' not a 'why' but here it is. One day I suddenly stopped talking to my best friend, and that was it. No missing her, no wanting to message her and talk to her again. We had a bit of a fight but still I just left so easily like that. And I'm noticing how easy it is for me to just drop people out of my life. I'll talk to someone for months and then just stop like it's nothing, moving on to someone else, over and over. I do have a few friends I do care about that I've known for years, but lately I just feel were drifting away and i'm fine with that. I know this isn't normal. And that's why i'm asking. Am I some sort of sociopath, because I really do care about people and my friends. And I still care about them. It's just so easy for me to stop talking to them. Stop being a part of their lives. I didn't really add the reason I'm asking, but I guess I will. My dad recently got engaged to someone, and he kinda just dropped me and my siblings. He stopped talking, stopped seeing us. And I feel so okay with that. It's always kinda been like that on my dad's side of the family. Everyone just leaves and does their own thing. I don't want to be like that. So If this is some mental condition of problem that can be fixed. I need it. |
