Question: I need help picking a name for my floral design business? Posted: 31 Dec 2015 10:54 PM PST I am in the process of staring my own floral design business but I still haven't decided on a name. My last name is pronounced Crocus (but spelled differently) and since that is a flower also, I would really like to incorporate it into my business name. So far I have thought of a few: The Blooming Crocus Floral Design Crocus Blossom Floral Design Crocus + Rose Floral Design So what i am wondering is; what do you think of my ideas so far? What do you think? Can you think of anything that includes Crocus? Or any other name? I would appreciate any help Thanks! |

Question: Diamond with strings attached? Posted: 31 Dec 2015 06:35 AM PST My son asked his Grandmother if she had a diamond she might want to sell him to use in an engagement ring. (she had a spending addiction with jewelry and gems) Grandma generously replied she would "sell" him one of her two wedding ring diamonds for $1.95...basically giving it to him. And then....the games begin: She decides she wants it appraised to see the value of the ring (to let him know of her generosity and just what she s giving him she said) then...she tells her grandson that she will have her 1950 wedding set polished and sized for his fiancé as an "additional gift", all the while insisting he use her old wedding ring rather than one of their own. And THEN...she tells him " this is coming with rules and these are the rules: you can t sell it, trade it in etc.. for three years". Rather than having our son be made to feel beholden to her for years for a 1/3 ct. Included diamond, we assisted him by giving him money to buy a ring himself. He wrote grandma s nice thank you expressing his appreciation for her offer, saying he didn t want to break apart something as sentimental as her wedding ring and that he was able to put together lovely ring for his fiancé. was Grandma overlay controlling? She s angry he wouldn t use not only her diamond, but also her ring. , |
