Question: Why does my mom eat like this? Posted: 26 Dec 2015 12:25 PM PST Half the time she eats a low carb diabetic diet, and the other half she just takes us all to fast food - like several times a week. Then, if one of her friends shows her a good recipe, she claims that she "can't eat that because of the calories".. .but that same night she'll take us to Taco Bell for dinner. We get diet soda, which is gross, but has less carbs... This is so confusing. She DOES have diabetes type 2, if anyone was wondering. |

Question: What could they mean by this? Posted: 26 Dec 2015 10:09 AM PST The other day a person me and this girl I know started taking again.. I hadn't seen her in like 2 years and she called me out of no where wanting me to come hang out. So anyways I've known her my whole life but she's always kind of screwed me over so I stopped talking to her for a long time and deleted her from my Facebook and everything. So I was with her and some of her friends and we were talking all fine and all and when I told her its been forever since I've seen you she makes a comment saying "yeah cause you're a little *****." I didn't really know how to take it. Is she meaning it in a bad way or maybe kinda in a joking way? Any opinions |

Question: Advice for first date? Posted: 26 Dec 2015 07:27 AM PST Hi, so i'm going on a date with a guy i really like so i could really use some advice. -What should I wear? An elegant dress and a statement necklace; or sth more casual like a leather or parka jacket, low/mid heel booties and pay more attention to my makeup? -How should I act? Should I try to be cool and make hilarious jokes? I'm more of a quiet/nerdy kind of girl but this guy doesn't know it. Actually this is a very confident/extrovert guy so i don't wanna appear nerdy. -What subjects should i discuss? -Should I offer to pay the bill? -Is a handshake appropriate to greet/say goodbye? |
Question: Should I do or say anything about this morning? Posted: 26 Dec 2015 07:01 AM PST I live with my dad. His girlfriend is staying for the holiday weekend. He left early this morning for work. I woke up at 8. As I approached the bathroom door it opened and his girlfriend came out. All she was wearing was a tiny thong! She said "oh, good morning!" I felt awkward, just said hi. She then asked me if I had a good night and if I wanted anything for breakfast, and went in the master bedroom. She came out with one of my dad's t-shirts on and made breakfast. So I basically saw her boobs and butt, really like nothing on and then braless for a good while. Should I say anything to her? Or to dad? |
Question: Why does nobody like me? Posted: 26 Dec 2015 05:43 AM PST i've never had a girlfriend i used to have friends, lots of them now i've just kinda disconnected from them and when i was friends they i was always left out i'm kinda ugly i guess not fat but skinny either and i have red hair and freckles (somehow it off puts people) |
Question: Should I just stop being nice? Posted: 25 Dec 2015 09:29 PM PST I'm a really nice person. I'm polite and respectful to everyone. If I think something is going to offend someone I don't say it. I'm even nice to people I don't like and who are rude to me. But for some reason people like to be mean to me and treat me like a doormat. They'll insult me or make a mean spirited joke. I've noticed this pattern a lot lately (school, friends, family, etc.) Even little kids are rude to me and boss me around. I know it's just me because they don't act the way they do with me with anyone else. I also joke around a lot so I don't know if people take that as me being a big joke. Also I'm a pretty quiet person in general (until you get to know me at least.) Do I have to be rude and nasty to get respect? |

Posted: 25 Dec 2015 08:43 PM PST Ever since I was a kid I've liked bare feet on my stomach. It all started when I was 6. One time my 8 year old cousin took her boot off and put her foot on my stomach. Needless to say I enjoyed it. I'm 16 now and I still enjoy this. I want to know if there is something wrong with me. If you find this weird please don't judge. Please help. |
Question: Would it be weird to text this guy? Posted: 25 Dec 2015 08:30 PM PST We met about 4 months ago because of an extracurricular activity at school. We didn't have any classes together, but he would always wave and say hi and smile at me in the halls. Most of the time I only talked to him before school and sometimes at lunch he would come eat with me and my friends. I have his number but we only texted once back in October about a birthday party. I found out he was moving about an hour and a half away, and last Friday was his last day at school. I made sure to catch him at the end of the day to say goodbye, and it felt like a legitimate goodbye. I don't know if that makes any sense, but it just felt like one of those "I'm never going to see you again" things. It's not like we were best friends or anything, but I don't know if he actually cared about me at all and would want to keep up with me or if he was just being nice while he was here. Anyway I've kind of wanted to text him lately, at least just to say hey or ask him how his move went or something. I'm sure I'm overthinking this (as I do) but I don't know if I should text him? Like I said, our goodbye felt a lot like a forever goodbye and I don't know if it would be weird to text after that and after we've basically never texted before. I'm socially awkward as it is, so this is stressing me out. |
Question: Ignored by everyone? Posted: 25 Dec 2015 08:04 PM PST I'm 17 years old female, and I'm always ignored by people. even my family, like if I'm hanging out with my cousins I'm always left out. whenever i try to talk, i get talked over or ignored. I'm so hurt by this. its making me depressed, idk why people do this to me. its like I'm a ghost to everybody, like they don't even see me. :( |

Question: How to ask boyfriend if I can move in with him and his parents for 3 months? Posted: 25 Dec 2015 06:54 PM PST I'm 21, he's 20. We're both about to graduate college, and plan to move in to an apartment together in August 2016. However, my curent home life is a disaster. I feel like I can't stay here any longer or I'll go crazy. I deal every day with an abusive mentally ill father and an overly permissive mom, and it's breaking me. Every time I come home from school, another part of the happiness and self esteem that I've been working to build dies. I've stayed at his parents house for about a week at a time before, and his parents seem to like me (they're wonderful people). I'd like to ask them if I could move in over the summer and to offer rent for 3 months before we get our own apartment, but I'm afraid to take advantage of their hospitality. Sorry, that was long. Any responses are appreciated! :D We've been dating for almost 2 years, and he lives 5 hours away when we're not both at school during the spring and fall. |
Question: No one is hiring me? Posted: 25 Dec 2015 06:03 PM PST I am a high school babysitter (freshman), and so far I only got ONE job (in the end, the mom actually stopped contacting me and when I texted, she ignored me)! I even signed up for pet sitting since I have been surrounded by animals my entire life, but NO replies. I use care.com and sitter.com to apply for these jobs; I also handed out flyers in my neighborhood but NO ONE contacted me at that time. I'm really upset; I am Red Cross certified for CPR and first aid on all ages for kids. I took newborn/baby classes to learn more about handling babies and child-care classes to learn more about handling older kids. I'm mature, responsible, and an art student so I mention that crafts could be an idea. In each reply I leave my phone number and e-mail. What's going on??? PET APPLICATION: God evening, I'm Angelina (hopefully your future pet sitter!). I am VERY interested in meeting and taking care of your dog. I absolutely love animals and I had three dogs before in my life-time. When my grandmother left for vacation I was in charge of walking the dog and feeding him. I am used to giving dogs medication, along with cats. I can gladly walk your dog in the wonderful weather of ** and playing with your dog will be fun for the both of us! Please contact me and think about letting me be friends with your best friend. BABYSITTER APPLICATION: Good evening, I'm Angelina! As a high school babysitter/child-caregiver, I have been caring for babies, infants and young children for about 1-2 years now. I am CPR and First Aid trained by HCGH. I also attended a child-care class for a year where I learned how to correctly care for babies and young children. I am very patient and understanding but always wanting what is best for the child, making sure they are safe but having fun. I do well with detailed schedules such as feeding, bed times and any other events that are daily needs. My schedule is flexible and I have my own transportation so short notices are generally not an issue for me. I live right around the corner in ** so arrival issues won't exist. I am available after 2.30pm and on the weekends. I really look forward to hearing your reply; please think about hiring me! |
Question: Professor has crush on me? Posted: 25 Dec 2015 04:54 PM PST Hi everyone, So I'm a 22 year old young woman and college student. I'm confused because I think my 70 year old something english professor may have a crush on me. I took his course last semester where he would frequently smile and blush if we made eye contact in class, when I entered the room or when I asked him a question after class about the assignments. I do admit that I tried to be a good student (like in all my classes) and I participated in class and laughed a lot since the stories are enjoyable. I always do well on the exams and papers. In comparison, the majority of my classmates were passive and barely showed up to class. My professor walked around the room when lecturing and usually stood in front of me or sat in the desk to me to share a book and put his arm around my chair. Once He was so close though that his knee touched my hip (he wouldn't move away). I had to move a bit to the right. Another time, He put a book on my desk and I accidentally brushed my hand on his.... I felt embarrassed but didn't say anything and tried to ignore it and he continued to smile a lot... Another time I went to his office to drop off a paper and he stared at me weirdly... Do you think he has a crush on me? I just would like some advice on how to approach the situation if I ever take another class with him or if I meet him again. I am a good student and I respect him as an authority and person and I also respect myself. I want foster a professional environment. Thanks! |

Question: Why are white girls mean to black girls? Posted: 25 Dec 2015 03:15 AM PST In my experience they've always said something mean or insulting, like making comments about my natural hair and when I had a sew in she said aww look almost like us. Yet they're are always trying to be like us clothes, hairstyles, slang etc. I don't get it they insult us for being ourselves but they turn right around and copy us. |
