Question: Should We Get Married? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 09:35 PM PST Hi everyone! My boyfriend of almost 2 years and I want to get engaged in the fall of 2016. He will be in his last semester of college, and I will be in my first. He will finish his courses to graduate and earn his degree in December 2016. In August 2016, he plans to attend medical school. Between December and August, he plans to get a part time job to earn some extra money. If all goes well, we would like to be married before he goes to medical school. My question is this: is this a smart idea? We will both still be in college and live two hours apart. We would both have separate apartments as well (I will have scholarships to pay for mine). I also plan to get a job while in college to help pay the cost of living. I realize we wouldn t get to spend much time together, but it would be the same amount if we weren t married. We haven t discussed getting engaged, let alone married to anyone else. We know that this is a step we would like to take in out relationship, but don t think others (his family) will accept our idea. This is perhaps our greatest hesitation. His parents have paid to put him through college, and will pay for him to attend medical school as well, and my boyfriend thinks they won t allow us to get married while he is still in school. They aren t ready to let him go, and they think I will become a distraction. Any advice? Opinions? |

Question: I don't care to date anymore is there something wrong with me? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 08:46 PM PST I just recently got divorced after being separated for two years. I am 30 and have two kids with my ex husband. My ex was not a nice person in anyway shape or form. He was beating me up all the time, at times told me he may kill me. Put a sex ad of me on Craigslist. He was putting sex ads of himself online and cheating with couples yes men and women from Craigslist, plus dating girls on tinder. When I found out I was pregnant with our daughter he tried to force me into an abortion. I refused and finally left. I was on birth control but I really think being pregnant was the only thing that made me strong enough to leave. He moved in with another girl that night whom he is still with. He continually tried to get back together with me I refused and have a restraining order. Now when someone tries to date me I just refuse. I don't care to get to know anyone any of it. Is there something wrong with me? I feel an extreme disconnect with anyone ever and I just don't care |
Question: Why is cost of living going up so rapidly?!? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 08:00 PM PST I had an apartment I rented in August 2013-August 2014. It was a 1BR 1BA. I paid $650.00 per month for the apartment. Now, Dec 2015 (1 1/2 years later) the EXACT SAME apartment is going for $900 per month!! Why is the cost of living going up so rapidly? And if the cost of living is going up so rapidly why are we all not seeing a "rapid increase" in our salaries? Thoughts?? |
Question: Do you care if your family member hears you having sex with spouse? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 07:48 PM PST My wife and I live in a small home we always thought it would be fine just the 2 of us no kids. Later my mother came to live with us. When my wife and I find the time to have sex she is always right on the other side of the wall. For long time my wife would stop I get so frustrated. I don't want to talk to my mother about it. In the last year my wife's sex drive has gone up now she doesn't care if my mom hears. I'm kind of weird about it I figure my mother will figure it out and go away read a book or something in the other room. Why should we stop having sex because she is living with us. We would like to buy a larger home but we can't afford it. My wife hates planned sex she only likes spontaneous sex. My mother will yell from the other room, "Where are you guys are we going to eat dinner". I hate having sex late at night I'm just too tired. Our bedroom wall is on the other side of the family room our master bedroom is small. |
Question: Is it wrong to Dump a guy with NO CAR? Question: Military divorce and misconduct question? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 06:53 PM PST So my husband when we were in germany kept me under a barracks bed until he could find an apartment which it was for about a week. On deployment, he spent four months emotionally abusing me and emotionally cheated on me with a girl barely 17. He wanted to have sex with this girl at the age of 16. Not only was this concerning and his command knew about it, but he also had underage girls on his Facebook for a while before we were married. Now I am concerned since he went drinking with his friends without a wedding ring on, wouldn't tell me where he was, and supposedly someone backed into his truck but didn't call the same day to report it makes me believe he had cheated or drove drunk. Not only that, but found a Porno on his computer that has tons of sex in it and also old lady rape and naked children with a woman pulling on a child's penis. What can I do at this point? I want a divorce, but I'm deeply concerned he will do this to someone else or rape someone underage. He has strangled me before until I blacked out and emotionally abuses me constantly. He wants a quick and clean divorce and was pissed when I called advocacy about the abuse. Also, he paid to get his E-5 paperwork done and didn't go to a board 9r do it the proper way. I couldn't say anything about this because I wasn't sure what he would do to me. |
Question: Does sex get boring? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 06:38 PM PST after 10 years of marriage is sex just like a boring activity that you do occasionally to entertain yourself. kinda like watching netflix |
Question: Any problems with bone gnawing? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 06:37 PM PST I went out to dinner with my wife and her family to a fine dining establishment. I ordered lamb chops, which were delicious . The problem is the looks I received when I gnawed every last morsel off the bones. I thought it would be the right thing to do considering the price, but my wife said I embarrassed her. Did I do anything wrong? |
Posted: 23 Dec 2015 06:29 PM PST I'm a man in my seventies. Yet, I'm still hot although not as much as when younger. But I have no outlet. I do not believe in divorce or extra-marital sex. |

I have worked as a financial analyst for about 4 years. I have been married for 5 years now, and I have a 3 year old daughter. Question: Is this case of flirting (two women)? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 06:05 PM PST There is this woman on my job. We work closely together because we have the same students. I thought and still think she is a very nice person. As weeks progressed I noticed I started developing feelings for her. I never showed her that I did neither did I tell her. Soon after my feeling surfaced I noticed she started watching me. Soon we both began staring at each other. One day when I was walking down the hall I turned around and she was looking right at me. I went into another room and looked out and saw that she was watching the room I went in. She make excuses to touch me and I do the same to her. However, I heard she was in a serious relationship. When I asked her what she was doing this Christmas she was reluctant to tell me. I wonder is it because she was trying to conceal she was going to be with her boyfriend. What is going on? And what should I do at this point? I am a woman by the way. |
Question: How do I get a divorce when I'm broke? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 06:04 PM PST I've reached my breaking point. I've been married for 4-1/2 yrs. During this time my wife has given her two kids (25 and 28 yr. olds) more than $75,000 to pay for their mistakes: drunk driving, driving while suspended (2x), both of them having children they know they can't afford to support. My wife has paid rent for two years (total of $25k) for one kid, and now the other got kicked out of her shared apt. she could barely afford to pay ($475/month) and Mommy moved her into an $1100.00/month apt. My "job" is to renovate our farmhouse, do all maintenance on property and vehicles, take care of the animals and vet appts., clean, do laundry, etc, etc. I get no allowance, have very limited access to cash, and am not on her personal bank account. She refuses to discuss our monthly budget (yes, she pays all the bills), refuses to let me know how much we have in savings, and assures me she will fight me to the death if I leave or divorce her. This is insane, right? She says she will force me to sell the property we own jointly which will leave me homeless. Can I divorce her with NO funds? This would force her to pay for it all. I can't take the abuse anymore and just want out. Happy Holidays! |

Question: Dealing with emotions during divorce? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 05:39 PM PST My husband and I are separated but still living in the same house. This living situation will only be temporary. Sometime during the day I seem to forget that we are separated and I feel fine. Other times I'm just telling myself that I am better off. Then other times it hits me that it is really over and I start crying. I don't really want a divorce but he seems to really want this. He won't even try to find a way for us to stay married although he tells me he still loves me. I'm just lost. |

Question: Why is my husband being a asshole towards me when he decided to end it? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 03:43 PM PST My husband is ending the marraige for good and now being a ******* asshole towards me. I moved my stuff out again and I'm not going back this time. He said that I wasnt being a good wife to him and I refused to make things work in the begining. He still mad about the fact that I left him twice and said I'm the reason why it didnt work and tired of my bullshit he wasn't being a good husband to me and wasn't making me happy. So now he's done with me for good. He keeps saying hurtful things and doesn't care if it hurts me. Just because he has two jobs and his own place and have things that I don't have, he thinks that he's better than me and rubs it in my face. I told him I don't like him treating me like this but still acts like a jerk towards me. He said he doesn't want be married to me anymore but why does he continue to be like that. I don't understand. He didnt used to be like this so why is he acting so mean now when its ending? |

Posted: 23 Dec 2015 03:15 PM PST First off my wife is a little insecure about herself and appearance, and has anxiety issues. She has low libido but has gotten better lately. I wanted to try to spice things up, so one night while we were having sex, I pulled out a g-spot vibrator for the first time (first time ever for any type of toy) to try it on her. She freaked out, and did NOT want it even touch her. She had kind of an anxiety attack.. She says she s never considered or even thought about using those types of things, and doesn t plan on it.. So now I feel dumb for buying one and feel a little insecure. Should I try again in the future? I want to understand her better but it s hard. Should I have gotten something smaller, simpler? Any advice is appreciated, thanks |
Posted: 23 Dec 2015 03:11 PM PST She is 24, he is 29. She said she never planned kn getting married ever. They've dated for 4 years before she joined the military and got courthouse married to get the extra perks. She seems to have a healthy relationship (he cooks all her meals for her, goes out of his way to do things for her even if he complains about it, have a good chunk of change between them in a bank account), so why would she make a comment like that? She seems to rely on him for a lot (she's a bit wild at times) and he pretty much babies her. I ask because I'm pretty sure she's interested in me, but I have no idea why someone who seems to love their partner enough to marry them (having a formal wedding next year) would not be content. And no, I am not going to be a homewrecker. |
Question: Why do couples stay together for so long of the love is gone? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 03:03 PM PST For this couple... So silly! They own a place together but they aren't married... They've been together for 8 years tho... They are miserable together, but now they are expecting a child! I heard her yelling at him, "I want u to have sex with me! I'm nearly 30, I want a baby now!" Why didn't she leave him and find another man to have a baby with??? Have other women in the past done this? Do they think it's too hard to start over and fear ending up alone? |

Question: Does anyone regret getting divorced? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 02:25 PM PST like if you had known how complicated everything would be, or how much you'd have to deal with your ex...and them even being manipulative with the kids, would you have preferred to stay married? |
Posted: 23 Dec 2015 01:27 PM PST My husband has two teen age kids (well, one is 19 so she is an adult). They were supposed to spend Christmas with my husband and I last year with my parents and one of them decides she is going to spend Christmas with her mom last minute which put a huge kink into the plans. We ended up staying at my husband's parents house with his other child. My husband reassured me that we could spend this year with my family so I made it through the holidays last year knowing that I would be able to spend this Christmas with my family. Low and behold, just last night, his oldest calls and says that she doesn't want to spend Christmas with my parents but instead with my husbands parents and she wants my husband to be there with her when she wakes up Christmas morning. I had already promised my parents we would spend this year with them and now my husband is choosing to spend Christmas with his kids at his parents house last minute and wants me to be there with him. I am upset over this whole thing because I was really looking forward to spending time with my family this year as promised which I am still going to but now without a husband. My husband said I should grow up. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks My husband is afraid that if he says anything to his daughter, that she will not want to spend anymore future Christmas's together. He worships the ground she walks on. Whatever she wants, she calls the shots and he gives in because he is so afraid she wont want to be with him later on. So frustrating |
Question: Is this the right thing to do? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 01:01 PM PST Married for 1 year, 1 child together. Im in the military and stationed in camifornia. Wife decides she doesnt like California and takes the car i bought her to another state. She then asks for divorce and tones of money ($1500 a month). Calls my supervision twice to get me in trouble for only paying 1200 a month. Supervision reccomends lawyer and paying $400 to $500 (which i knew was the going rate anyways, just wanted to make her happy). Lawyer reccomends handling the car, i ask her to finance the car in her own name, she refuses. Maintenance needs to be done to the car, she is unwilling. I recieve tickets in the mail from her driving. I hire a repo company and an auto transport company to haul the car back. I know this is the best move because i cant pay all my bills, child support, car, tickets, and who knows what else... and the stress is impacting my work but i feel bad about it and am seeking opinions. |
Question: My husband doesn't see a disagreement as a disagreement? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 12:53 PM PST If I disagree with him, he says I'm being disrespectful, righteous, childish, and says "you think you're always right!" No matter how many times I explain to him that we need to just agree to disagree without attacking me as a person, he still does it. No matter how many times I explain the hypocrisy, since he is also disagreeing with me, he still does it, and he'll just laugh at me. To me, it really breaks down communication and I see it as a tactic he uses to "win". He's really big on the blame game, namecalling, gets defensive, and just wants me to bow down and apologize to him every time we disagree. He requires me to agree with him in order to feel respected. I don't require him to agree with me, but I do require him to support me and respect me even if he doesn't agree with me. How can I get through to him? I need our arguments to be productive and get things resolved, instead of making things worse or simply choosing to get over it without resolution. It chips away at my love for him. We absolutely cannot afford counseling or we'd be there. |
Question: Is it common for someone to be i denim bout divorce 2 years later? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 12:53 PM PST My brother has been divorced for alittle over 2 years. Lately he s been going through a faze of thinking about her he keeps saying how he will never get married or have kids. He writes blogs and has videos talking about it all. He thinks that it s all his fault how he never stepped up as a person to keep his relationship. I m going to be honest she cheated on him. She s taken money from him.He s never quite come to that realization because he never says that the reason they aren t together is because he was being cheated on. I think he is in denial. He talks about her as if they were still together I get that it takes people time. He says he doesn t wanna love anyone else. Is this all common. I wanna hear it from the outside view. He went through a faze where he would wanna date my girl that he saw them he goes back to never wanting anyone. I don t understand. I know that he is in denial. |

Question: Why do people going through a divorce never seem sad about it? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 11:06 AM PST They usually come off as happy or casual. When people break up there is obvious emotion and sorrow, but why not when people divorce? The closest to sorrow I normally see is anger/hatred! How can you just hate someone you loved enough to spend your life with? |

Posted: 23 Dec 2015 08:44 AM PST i will take blame for my part in our marriage but i will not take blame for him cheating on me. we have 2 small kids, and when i noticed something was off with him i asked and he was real rude and making it all my fault why we werent getting along, then i looked through our phone records and found her number and that is when all hell broke lose, he left me for a weekend with our kids to be with her n her kid and lied to me the whole time, then i found an email he wrote to her and i immediatly kicked him out n told him to stay with her...needless to say we did text eachother after i kicked him out, and then the dreaded day came when he asked to come to my house n talk, and that is when he told me he slept with her only 1x he says, i was heartbroken a man i was with for 12yrs turned out to be everything he said he wouldn't. we then talked after i calmed down n he said he wanted to come back, he came back that nite but then the next day he was suppose to go n his stuff n come home well i get the phone call i was on with him for 2hrs and finally got out of him that he wanted to give it a go with her, so i hung up and told our kids. needless to say i packed all his stuff up threw it in our garage and proceeded to have a beer to calm myself down and let it all sink in that i was getting a divorce, that his ex that he had always bad mouthed and how she did terrible things to him when they were together got him back. then i sent him 1 final text telling him where his stuff was |

Question: My husband wants me to take the plan b pill and I don't want to!!? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 08:20 AM PST We both agreed that we'd start trying. We've been married for 3 years. I'm 26 and he's 28. I'm very furious that he wants me to do this. I'm not getting why. He says now he isn't ready. I am very against abortion or any kind of termination at all, so I will not, but when I say that he gets very defensive? This happened 2 days ago (the nookie), and I guess the pill is effective for up to three days after. I just don't know how to change his mind. Please help |

Seriously, how do I get him to do something other than hold the computer chair down? |

Question: Stuck between spending Christmas Eve with mom & family or my wife & her family? HELP!? Question: Is my husband on his period or what? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 06:20 AM PST When I first met him years ago he loved to cook. He'd cook elaborate meals and invite me over to his apartment for dinner. Well, he's still the primary cook in the family. Yes, I can cook too. Over the weekend he made mention that he had a taste for some sugar cookies and he might make some. Fast forward to today and he hadn't made them yet. I sent him an email at work asking if he was still planning to make them and his reply was basically this. "Hey, there's a thing called Google and you can search for sugar cookie recipes with as many as 5 ingredients. You know you can make them yourself." My reply to him was, "wow, someone must be on their period." He said he wasn't but he said he's tired of me never trying anything new. No, sugar cookies probably aren't that hard but he said he was going to make them. What's his problem? My husband is the type to where if we're watching TV and something comes on that he wants he'll research a recipe and try it for himself. Or if he hasn't had something in a while he'll make it. He always says to me, "do you ever have the taste for anything and then find a recipe to make it?" Sometimes I do but most of the time I'll just go buy it or 5 minutes later it's already slipped my mind. |

Question: What do you call it when someone asks annoying questions that are really direct orders? Posted: 23 Dec 2015 04:07 AM PST We were going to go for a walk and then my wife went to put the baby to sleep. She came out and said, "WHY AREN'T YOU GETTING READY?" I didn't know I was supposed to...I was waiting for you. She easily could have just said, "you can go ahead and get ready," or even just, "get ready." It really irritates me and she does this sort of thing constantly. No, I'm not wrong, it could be five minutes or half an hour.... Absolutely not. I'm not going to put him in rain pants, boots, hat, gloves etc and sit around and wait for half an hour. |
Posted: 23 Dec 2015 03:47 AM PST It was very embarrassing, for everyone involved (including their 11 year old daughter) but my fiancé did nothing and later defended her, "she just has diarrhea of the mouth, stop getting angry, what am I supposed to do?" Is it unreasonable to expect him to tell her she needs some boundaries and, frankly, she disrespected me in my own home? (The home he described as a "rathole" to her on the phone earlier, which is ANOTHER can of beans.) He feels like I am making this his fault, when really I just want my honor defended. |

Posted: 23 Dec 2015 12:46 AM PST She don't love me, thats for sure. I look average. I am 38 year old. She is 28 year old. She often calls me "Old man". Before marriage there was someone in her life. Her mother also admits it. Once someone texed her too saying he still loves her. When I asked about it. She deleted the message from phone while I was sleeping. She is a keeper. It may even happen one day that she'll bring someone home and say its my love. I appointed her my Next to Kin these days. Because We have two daughters. But seeing change in her behaviour I'm affraid my decission went wrong. Any thoughts keeping my condition in mind would be appreciable. I am even wondering she will through my kids out once I'm dead. |
