Question: Why do teens feel so much pressure to get married and have kids at such a young age? Posted: 25 Dec 2015 08:08 PM PST I constantly seeing people getting married and having kids at such a young age (18-22 years old). Where does this pressure to become adult so fast come from. I'm 25 and 4 years ago getting married and having kids was the last thing on my mind. Not to mention as I'm scrolling through questions on this site I always see "18 years old and not married yet? Normal?" What is happening?? |
Question: Should I confront my dad? (FREE POINTS)? Posted: 25 Dec 2015 07:52 PM PST My dad has two wives the 2nd wife is my mom and we re eight the first wife has 11 kids. My half siblings live in Kenya and he works in a successful job back home but today I found out that he has 4 more kids he never told us about but some of my half siblings and my 16 year old brother know about them. Why couldn t he tell me? How should I confront him if I decide to. In my culture by the way two wives is ok but what s not ok is how my moms marriage was arranged and she had to stop her studies to get married only to have me at eighteen then to find out that her husband is ka ready married. At the same time my dad pays for my private school in America sending money from back home and he s totally supportive always calling us to talk to us about our day even though I haven t seen him for nine years. He bought us a brand new 2015 family car and even asked my mom whether she wanted a house in America or back home. I m not from Kenya btw but Somalia where he lives. What should I do though? My mom is thinking of sponsoring him to come to America but she s having seconds thoughts I was supportive but now I don t know wast to do |
Posted: 25 Dec 2015 07:49 PM PST As we are young and still finding our way we dont have much money. So the only things we have together are insurance and a joint account...How worried should I be? I am not basing it on money. Fact is we dont have much but each other, and we need to convince a complete stranger that we love each other, without many assets to show for it. Going in for Green card interview btw...cant believe i left that off. |

Question: Best way to hide my online affairs from fiance? Posted: 25 Dec 2015 07:22 PM PST I'm in a long distance relationship with my fiance and since we aren't married yet, I'm obviously still talking to other women. I don't want to ruin our time together in case she looks at my phone so I'm wondering what's the best way to hide my online activities from her while I still interact with the other women when she's not around. Basically, I want to read the messages I receive from the other women on viber, whatsapp, and email but I don't want my fiance to see those messages if she happens to pick up my phone. If there is an app that will hide these services, please let me know. Thanks! |

Family does not stick together and I think that in my coutry we're loosing the family worth. Divorce rate is high and suicide rate is high (that's what I heard). Posted: 25 Dec 2015 04:27 PM PST ...and stomped out. |
Posted: 25 Dec 2015 03:19 PM PST Husband said he was going 2 his friends house yesterday.. we had to have our Christmas early because my brothers were going to their dads. So I told him no, & he had an attitude so I told him to go. He went over there for about 2 hours. Last night, he says he is going to go fishing in the morning at 6 am with his friend, & I said okay. I finally texted him at 2 pm & jokingly said, "hi, is my husband there? Just wanting to know if he is okay since he has a habit of not telling me where he is." He just texted back Hahaha and said he was at his friends grandma's house and was eating dinner. Well.... it's past 5 pm and no sign of him yet. Seems like every holiday or every day he is off he wants to stay clear of here. Thanksgiving he did the same thing and even my birthday... he worked all day and when he got off he said he was going hunting with this same friend he went in at 4 am and I didn't see him til about 8-9pm... but I said okay. Thats just to see if he would even wish me a happy bday or do a surprise bday thing. But no... he got home and asked where these presents came from and I said its my birthday... he forgot, even though I told him about it two days before. Idk if it's me or what... and communicating with him is killer! He just sits there and doesn't ever say what's wrong with him. I guess I'm just kind a hurt that he would rather spend it with other people besides me especially on Christmas. What should I do? |
Question: How do I deal with my in laws staying here for a couple of days? Posted: 25 Dec 2015 02:48 PM PST I'm mixed and my husband is a typical white man, I'm tired of him. We have four young kids. He's so annoying all the time. He leaves the cabinets open and leaves the milk out and when I point it out he just laughs it off. I'm 27 and he's 29 and very immature. I'm pregnant again and we are both quite happy because we wanted a big family. The baby wasn't planned and I don't like being pregnant. I usually feel ill and I gain so much weight and feel so unattractive. I feel tired of my husband always telling his silly jokes. His parent's annoy me, he's an only child and is very close to them. His mom is very rude and I usually avoid them as often as I can. They get to see their grand kids because my husband usually visits and takes the kids with him. My mom will be spending Christmas with us and his parents are coming later. They only live 40 minutes away but my husband said they can sleep over so they can have a few drinks. I'm not happy they're coming and we are going to tell them we're having another baby. I just wish they could take a cab home or something. The guestroom is next to our bedroom and I'm not happy about this. What do I do? |

Question: Mother in law has to copy me on things? Posted: 25 Dec 2015 01:56 PM PST My husband's mother and I only have a 19 yr age gap. My husband and his father seem to like what I cook and that includes my chocolate pies that I make around special occasions. His mother has recently begun making chocolate pie as well, after her husband went on and on about them (she usually does not allow her husband to have sweets because of pre diabetes). She also will dress like me and it drives me nuts. Why is she doing this? His mom refuses to let his dad take any left overs home of stuff I fix (regardless if he says he wants them) and she rolls her eyes when he says he likes something I made. She is probably the worst cook I have ever had food from. She burns everything or it lacks salt and flavor. Even her son (my husband) dislikes her cooking. |
Posted: 25 Dec 2015 12:31 PM PST they were cute, you married him, of course the kids got older...you baby sat for them, you ran them around, you took care of them, you gave them money...helped them through hard times....then when they got older, they treated you as with your husband like crap....you NOW hate doing holidays with them, they wonder why, as with your husband, which is in denial about how HIS kids treats you and him? How do you handle it? You do the cooking, paying for everything, they sit and watch sports, you baby sit....while they are doing so....you are ok with this, or did you change things? It is not just with the Holidays, its all year round, they do not appreciate a thing....if you are NOT going through this, you don't need to reply...thank you! |
Question: What can I do to bring back my sex drive? Posted: 25 Dec 2015 12:09 PM PST I am afraid my marriage is going to fail because my lack of sex drive. Question: What is the right time to getting married? Posted: 25 Dec 2015 11:27 AM PST |
Posted: 25 Dec 2015 11:20 AM PST I was standing there listening in on their conversation, which ended up being about my mother in law's cats and her neighbors. I thought she was talking ugly about me and refused to leave the room because I was suspicious. My mother in law explained to me that I was being rude and standing over them, that is why i was asked to sit down. My wife also complains because I follow her from room to room. If she is in the shower/restroom, I have to be in the same room or at least the bedroom. She does not like this and says I smother her. |
Question: I don t feel like a wife. I live with my husband s mother.. Help..? Posted: 25 Dec 2015 11:19 AM PST I recently got married. My husband and I live with his mother. He can t afford to live in an apartment. Let alone he doesn t want to leave his mother alone. At first I didn t mind that. But now, it is all hitting me at once.. I can t take my time at the house. For example, I can t cook when I want to or do the things that I would want to do. It s her house, and I have a lot of respect for her and the house. I don t feel like I have responsibilities or I can show my husband how I can be responsible at home. She does everything and won t let me do anything. Which is sweet of her. I need that free space where I m not stuck in a room not knowing or capable of doing things for my husband. I really feel like a kid here with him. Not grown. Part of marriage, is growing together with your partner and being responsible and on your own. I need help and advice idk what to do |

From October until right after Thanksgiving things was going pretty good. During that time span I was working on the road but we would constantly communicate everyday. I always send her money, and made sure she had food in her apartment, gas in her car, and new clothes while I was away at work. When work was finish for the thanksgiving holidays. I made a special request to my supervisor to flight me into where she was staying. We a a fabulous couple of days. I took her on a shopping spree and just caught up a few before I returned home. During the two after we reunited she came visit me twice and spent some more time in New Orleans. We talked about getting remarried and giving it another try in which she accept. We even went to court and see for a marriage licenses. A few days after we got into a argument about something which let to us breaking up again. Since then she have been very distant and now I'm finding out she have been chatting with a guy for the past two weeks. I tried to wish her a marry Christmas and even send her a new flat screen tv earlier this week and I haven't even heard from her yet today. She text me last night and ask me if everything was ok and when I tried to reply and call her her phone was off and when she put it back on this morning. It seems this year I feel close to all my loved ones that have passed before me. Do you? |
Question: Should I dump her on Christmas Day? Posted: 25 Dec 2015 08:31 AM PST My wife and I have been going through a serious rough patch. We've grown quite distant from one another, and are lacking any of the chemistry we had during our first few years of marriage. This Christmas has been the worst one I can recall. We did the usual Christmas things for our three children (get a tree, decorate the house, etc.), but it was completely missing the family appeal and connection that it used to hold for me in years past. To complicate matters, I have been spending time with a nice girl I met through one of my friends. She is 15 years younger than me, has a body that makes me sprout wood instantly, and knows her place next to a man. This is what I have been looking for. I want to dump my dumb wife on Christmas Day, and spend a long holiday weekend sexing up my young tartlet. Should I wait? I already have a suitcase and my most important possessions packed up in a car and ready to split. |

Posted: 25 Dec 2015 12:42 AM PST My exwife and I have been divorced for 3 years. We have 50/50 custody of our kids. I interact with her nearly daily and see her 2 to 3 times a week during drop offs or kids activities. She and I have 2 different 'versions' of what happened to end our marriage and it seems to keep coming up in one way or another and this topiccauses friction and arguements. Because it is a reoccuring argument, I feel like we need to address it and get it cleared up. We had the normal arguments that couples have. Nothing overly serious or that would make me think our relationship was at risk. At one point, she came to me and told me she had emotionally 'connected' with her co-worker and she was upset about it. We talked and I thought we worked through it. 4 months later, she became hyper critical and was blaming me for everything. I could seem to suddenly do no right. Then she announced that she wanted a divorce and that her co-worker would make a great 2nd husband if anything happened to me. I got her to go to therapy, but she wouldn't participate. Kept chaning her story on what the problem was. We divorced. She claims that she wanted a divorce for years. Ask her friends, she says. She never told me she was really unhappy. She never told me our relationship was at risk. How am I to have known? I would have worked on the marriage. So, from my POV, the first sign of trouble was her telling me she was emotionally connected to a coworker. |

Question: Ex-Wife is mad at me after argument last night? Afraid we ruined Christmas? Posted: 24 Dec 2015 11:31 PM PST Been divorced from my ex-wife for nearly 3 years. She had an affair with a co-worker and asked me for a divorce. I got her to go to therapy, but she acted like she didn't want to be there and wouldn't try. We have 50/50 custody of the kids. So, I mentioned I was going to Christmas mass yesterday and she suggested that we all go together. We drove in my car. We had a good time at church, sitting together, signing with the kids, etc. Great family experience. On the way home, she asked why my brother didn't come. One of our kids, responded that my brother didn't like her. I told her church wasn't his thing. Honestly, that was most of the issue last night She took the kid's comment and started probing. "Why doesn't he like me?", she asked. I really didn't want to go there, but she was being persistent. "Well, you treated me pretty badly and when you treat somebody badly, it rubs people that care for that person that wrong way." She waited a minute and then she started a long speech to the kids about how we divorced because we couldn't get a long and how tonight, me cutting her down was exactly proving her point. I argued back that we didn't argue before she started having her affair...yada yada yada.. The kids told her that I didn't cut her down or bring any of this up, that they brought it up and she kept asking. I feel terrible, because we had a good evening. The kids enjoyed it. We were supposed to celebrate Christmas together today. Help? |
Question: Marriage in danger. what now? Posted: 24 Dec 2015 11:31 PM PST I am a good looking, financially independent woman. married for 5 years. After marriage I came to know my H is impotent. Mistake 1 : I did not talk about this to anyone. Even my H. I only told him that we are not having a good s**ual life. We had fights. After 2 years, elders started pressurizing for baby. I told H, Either go to a doctor ASAP, get the issue resolved or I will LEAVE you. My H went to various docs, therapists. One urologist told me his case is more psychological. My H denied. One of the docs gave him medicines to overcome his impotency. Mistake 2 : Because of the family pressure, I decided to have a baby though our relation was not strong. Viagra/Injection made an effect and I was expecting. Current situation : My H still impotent. I realize my mistake, though late. I have made a compromise. I see 2 options. Leave my H or stay with him. If I leave him and get married to another person. How will he be? How will he behave with my girl baby? This thought freaks me out and I am less inclined towards taking this risk. My H is a good father. So I think I should compromise and stick to him. My H does not like me and I don't like him either. Now, my female hormones do not let me be happy. I want to to be loved. Having an affair, etc. is unethical and I do not want to. I try to keep myself busy to avoid such thoughts but they still poke up. Should I divorce my H and marry someone else when my baby turns may be 16 years. When my baby leaves us for studies? |
