Me and my ex are just friends now, the thing is that last weekend he stood me up (we were going to church and he never showed up), he did apologize and I understood the reason (he is fighting with depression and it is serious), we didn't talk since he came here to apologize, which is fine. We are not dating and we don't have to talk everyday, but we made it clear that we will be just friends. I don't want to stay alone, I spent the whole Christmas alone and it was sad, what would you do? |

It's winter break and they been all almost every day and I currently haven't gone out with anyone since September. This makes me look really bad and raises questions for me. Well I basically know why, ever since this thing happened in 6th grade ive been kind of on and off. For example- at the beginning of school I was completely okay, I was really social with my friends and wasn't the awkward mess I am now. A few months into school me and my friends had a fight. more like, they ganged up on me for really petty reasons. (Because of this I'm uncomfortable around them all the time now) About a month later we went on the school DC trip and I was like the beginning of school me for some reason. When I came back- the horrible social wreck came back. This is what really confuse me and makes me mad for how confusing it is. It's just like I can't pin-point what makes me okay. At family parties I become super comfortable for a few hours then I become comfortable then I got uncomfortable and on and on. same at school, except when I'm around some people who trigger the "uncomfortable" side inevitably. Even for my (few) friends in which I'm comfortable (mostly) around I can become awkward for no reason ☹. i have no confidence to tell my parents for help. They'll try to solve my problems and will never ever get me therapy. So it'll be a waste of my time and very embarrassing. I've already had some mental health problems with OCD. |

I don't know if lily was aware of it. When we got back to Oahu, me and Lily started hanging out a lot and we surfed together all the time and even went shopping together and I though she really enjoyed being friends. So Sara came over to Oahu for a couple of surf comepetitions and didn't even tell me and is staying with Lily, the other day we were at the contest and lily was all budied up with Sara and barely talked to me and she was like "how big is it" and I was like "idk, but it's supposed to be 6-8 tomorrow" and she said "well this is today not tommorrow". And I was really hurt and then yesterday I invited them to go surf and Lily said "oh ya sure what a great idea" then later she was like "actually just gonna so surf sunset with Sara later" so then I said "what time?" She read it and never got back to me... I'm really hurt by this and I feel so left out. What should o do...? Like it's because of me they even know each other..? For all my friends birthdays i stayed up til 12, and spammed them and have them letters and presents, and made them happy that way. I am like this everywhere except in my volleyball team. I joined a few months ago but I still can't be myself. The girls come from mutual schools they already know each other pretty well making me feel a little excluded. Also I feel like they just want to be around people that they know well. But they are still nice yet I feel like they are not very interested in getting to know me. I have a few friends there and the other day when I was with her at a tournament(nationalteam) she told me that I am a completely different person outside of the team. And she loves being around the real me. I sometimes feel intimidated and not worthy of the other girls friendships. I just don't feel comfortable. Two days before school started, I texted and called my best friend within 50 times over the period of two hours, and that got him stressed. At the first week of school, we started this thing called "no contact", where I couldn't talk to him or have any form of contact for a given time period. It lasted until the beginning of October. I've done some mean things during no contact, and it hurt our friendship a little. Things have been going well until the end of November, when he said he started needing space. I kept on going up to him for about a week to hang out with him, and he kept on saying that he needed space. I took this too personally and I started doing mean things to him, like shoving him with my backpack, covering my face with my hand everytime I saw him, and calling a kid with the same name as him "the better (name)". My best friend began hanging out with other kids during this time, while I was being mean. I got super jealous that he got a Vine with over 30,000 loops and that was one of the reasons I was extremely mean to my best friend. My principal, Mrs. O'Daniel, said we should have a "pause" in our friendship, which I think is the entire "no contact" situation all over again. On the last day of the first semester, I written a letter to my best friend and Mrs. O'Daniel said she was going to give it to my best friend at the end of school, but she forgot. What do I do now? |

He has had an extremely rare deadly disease which slowly kills him. I've known him since 10th grade and we went to the same college and now lives in the same city as me. We were extremely close friends, he's like a brother to me and I really do love him like one. I know you may think that I of course should go see him but he is in a coma like state. He's still alive but I don't know if he has any idea of anything around him anymore. He doesn't talk or move, he's just asleep. Doctors have said he could die any day noe. Why I'm considering not visiting him is because I want to remember him for the good times we had not the time he was in the hospital connected to all these wires and dying. Also I'm a very sensitive person and I'm afraid I will completely break down and be too upset to say goodbye properly. I'd visited him in the hospital every day before he fell into this state. However I feel like I should be there even if he doesn't know I'm there. I'm just so overwhelmed and in shock. He's my best friend and it's really hard to see him like this and the thought of him passing away. He doesn't deserve this, he's such a kind and great friend. So what should I do? Go or not go? He keeps trolling me when we are playing, and he keeps making fun of me. The most annoying thing that he does however, is that he screws me over in every possible situation he can. If he gets the chance to be a dick towards me, he will gladly take it. He is actually nice enough to be with when im playing with him alone, but whenever we're in a group of more than 2. He sacrifices our friendship to show dominance. The other guy that i play with is nice, whenever i get in a fight with my evil friend, he doesn't say anything, as he wants to maintain a good friendship with both of us, even though he is closer to my evil friend than me. Then why aren't i just spending time with my nice friend? Because he keeps playing with the evil one, all of the time. They are really close friends. | Question: MY CO WORKERS HATE ME! Please give me advice :( ? Posted: 30 Dec 2015 01:37 PM PST THIS WILL BE LONG BUT PLEASE HELP ME I'm 17 years old and the company im working for is my FIRST job. My moms friends husband owns the place so he hired me immediately. At first my co workers were so nice to me. My boss said that I would first start off with basic training, but honestly I don't feel like I was trained at all. Like I had no idea how to do the cashier and they expected me to know it so quickly. First of all, when you press the wrong one, I try to delete or void it, but to void it you have to enter your password. My password wouldn't work because I guess I'm new. So they got so irritated when I kept calling and calling for help. I felt so embarrassed in front of costumers.I basically taught my self or learned whenever I called them for help. They were so nice the first couple days, but now they despise me. I'm polite, I'm learning more every day, and I try to talk to them, but it always seem awkward. They would always talk about me because when they whisper things to each other and when I walk by they just stop. They look at me while whispering too like its so obvious. I cut my hair short and I regret it. I have naturally chubby cheeks and round face. They were laughing about it far away near the freezer. I can't take them any longer and I want to quit so badly. I sometimes go in the bathroom and cry because it freaking hurts being the only one hated by these people.I want to quit but it would probably give my moms friend a bad impression of me. Advice?:( |
| Question: Why do I almost always have to be the one to make the plans or text first? Posted: 30 Dec 2015 01:35 PM PST It seems that other than a couple of my closest friends that nobody ever texts me or wants to make plans with me. I almost always have to be the one to initiate everything. Not gotta lie I have social anxiety and don't talk a lot but I think I talk enough for some people to at least text me first once In a while. Plus I try to be nice to everyone I meet. Could it be that alotta people don't like me or don't consider me a friend? I don't get how so many people have so many friends and people they talk to and I'm just sitting home Waiting for someone to talk to me and it's always the same 1-2 people but nobody else. I'd really like to make new friends but it seems like everyone I meet is just the same way. What is it with people or is it just me? |
| Question: Should i give up on our friendship b/c i dont think she cares anymore? Posted: 30 Dec 2015 01:19 PM PST Ive been really close with my god sister my whole entire life. However ive always have felt like she never valued our friendship as much as I did. She seems to only like to hang out with her family (cousins) and her boyfriend, im her only friend that is not related by blood. I moved away to college last year and she'll snapchat me but she wont ever call and only texts me if it something important. Im the on who always calls. I invited her once to come visit for halloween and she never gave me an answer, and i invited her for spring break this year and she said ok but has stop contacting me so im thinking she doesnt want to go b/c she is very non confrontational person so i think she's avoiding me. I guess we are in two different places in our lives, she is in a very serious relationship and im single so i like to go out a lot more. Should i just stop contacting her? it's just sad because we have litteraly been friends since we were babies but if she doesnt care, should i? |

I would like to meet him but I'm afraid he won't like me because I'm unattractive. We've video chatted but I believe for some reason my webcam makes me look better because he told me he thought I was pretty. I really am ugly and look different in person. I'm also extremely socially awkward, I just don't know what to do, help? |

| Question: My sisters make me feel left out and insecure what do I do? Posted: 30 Dec 2015 12:56 PM PST I have two younger sisters, I am the oldest (19) they are 18 and 14. They have similar interest and always hang out together. Whenever I talk to them they answer in this really mean tone sometimes and it feels horrible to be talked to in this way. They even have invented this weird way of talking that only them two do and it pisses me off. They always curse which I really hate (I can't stand when people curse and they do it 24/7). I don't know what to do I feel so left out and worthless as a person. I cry myself to sleep every night thinking that I'm so alone and I know I shouldn't think this way but I don't know what to do, I feel so sad. To make it worse ever since I am in college I find it hard to make even one friend. In highschool I used to have at least some friends that I can talk to and smile and laugh and joke and actually feel happy. But now gradually I'm getting more sad and sad, I talk less and less and feel that life is really really boring and it's hard to even talk to people bc I don't know what to say now. |
| Question: Am I too old or lame to go to college? Posted: 30 Dec 2015 12:42 PM PST I graduated in 2014 & took a year off because I moved to another state and needed to get residency. Then I moved to another state before my year was over and I started at a CC for one semester ( which ended about 2 weeks ago) and now I moved back to Texas for a couple days & in January I'm moving to ANOTHER state! Haha... I'll have to wait again another year to get residency. So instead of graduating 2018 it'll be like 2020-21 and I feel like I'll be a lot older than my future friends that I make because technically right now they are seniors in HS. :/ I'm debating on just becoming a realtor that way I don't feel behind (yes I know there are older people that attended college and you're never too old) and don't get stuck in debt for 10 years. |

Recently, someone went on the account and posted bad pics of me (even though I asked them multiple times to stop) and blocked me. I changed the password and only gave it to one of my friends (the one I suspected was the anon) and the same thing happened. I know it's her but I'm so scared to confront her and she's never like this so idk if she even cared of our friendship:( |

| Question: Friend relies on all parents answers? Posted: 30 Dec 2015 12:19 PM PST So the other day she was saying I can never take these stickers I put on my MacBook off. I said I moved them around and took them off easily. She then proceeded to get especially angry at me for saying that, then said her parents told her they would never come off. And I said "Well they might be wrong" and she got mad and said "well they're parents.." Like they know everything? She does this a lot. Example: the weather. She says something like it's gonna be 70° tomorrow even though today is 50° and when she's wrong she just says "It doesn't matter anyway" because she doesn't want to admit she's wrong. She also doesn't shave about her knee because she said her mom says so and when we do it she says we shouldn't because her mom said so. |
| Question: Should I Even Bother with This Lol!? Posted: 30 Dec 2015 12:16 PM PST Hey there, My former best friend and I were close for a 1 1/2 year. Unfortunately, Oct-Dec of last year I was having depression and was a being clingy. I'd come over to his place once, twice a week unannounced just to hang out. Well... Apparently there were a few guys that he and his wife were friends that acted clingy as well who all turned out to be gay and she increasingly suspected I was too. All I heard from him since January of this year was "she's uncomfortable", "she's sometimes uncomfortable." 🙄. I tried talking to her for the 1st time since April a month ago at their church and she was passive-aggressive nasty. I said to her "look, I'm sorry for coming over unannounced last year. I know there were guys in the past who acted clingy and they all turned out to be gay and I REALLY am not that type of person!" When I told her that, she just smirked. She put her head down and said "I appreciate your apology." I told my parents and they both said "by you apologizing to that girl all you did was reinforce in her mind that you were gay." He and I aren't friends anymore and I'm just indifferent when it comes to her. I've never in my life dealt with a female thinking I'm trying to take her man away from her. Ha ha ha. I've apologized to him for overstepping my boundaries but still no reconciliation has happened amongst the three of us. There's a part of me that just sees her as a controlling idiot and frankly a fake Christian. Nonetheless, any advice would be appreciated. |
