Posted: 28 Dec 2015 09:22 PM PST So the reason she won t be attending the wedding is because she got an awesome internship over the summer and it happens to start 3 days before my wedding. Unfortunately, the whole weekend she will be traveling to different locations and it s the only weekend that she can do the job training. If she doesn t do the training, she cant do the internship. So obviously I told her she needs to go because I don t want her to miss such a great opportunity. But now I m down a MoH. I don t really have anyone else to ask but my mom, but she s been almost overly involved and I m not sure if I m totally ok with her being MoH. That and my dad is blind so once he walks me down the aisle someone has to lead him to a seat. I just don t even know what to do anymore! |

Question: Spring wedding colors? Posted: 28 Dec 2015 07:54 PM PST A May wedding so it will be spring. Thinking about making the bridesmaids dresses a coral pink and accent color be gold. But what to do about the groom and the groomsmen. I've seen tan and navy blue paired with this. Any ideas? Open to other colors for the men. But the bridesmaids are gonna be a pink around that color. |
Question: Where should I hold my wedding? Out of ideas? Posted: 28 Dec 2015 06:17 PM PST I am getting married sometime next fall (November, perhaps). I'm loosely Christian and wanted a church wedding. My fiance isn't religious and didn't want a huge wedding, just a small reception with a few of our close friends and families. I agree with the small wedding (about 30-50 people). We have high paying jobs and we mostly just stuffed it in the bank so we have quite a bit of money to buy ourselves a nice wedding. We thought about a castle, an open field type thing, an outdoor tent wedding (though one of our friends did something similar), and a whole bunch more but couldn't agree on one. We both wanted to just decorate my sisters house (very big estate, her and her husband are lawyers) but he did that with his ex-wife. They held it at her best friends house. I tried asking friends and my mom but she just said, "Isn't there a Church of Satan around here?" because I had premarital sex (I'm 25. I lost my virginity at 18 but she didn't know at the time). What are some small places that; will hold a good 50 people easily and comfortably, can have the reception and ceremony and everything in one place, will have places for tables and chairs and food centres, will overall look nice. |

Posted: 28 Dec 2015 03:58 PM PST We attended a destination wedding recently for a close loved one, and we gave a gift to the bride and groom at the destination wedding. However under pressure from family, the bride and groom have decided to do an additional wedding at home locally, and to invite the guests who couldn't make it, plus the guests who went abroad. Just wanted to see if there's a requirement or if it's expected to give an additional gift. Thanks! |

Question: Dad is angry I won't be at his wedding, should I go anyway? Posted: 28 Dec 2015 10:42 AM PST I've planned a vacation with my friends for June, once we've graduated. Everything is booked and paid for and has been for a while already. We've been saving for years to afford this and I'm really excited about it! However, my dad and his fiancée announced they'd set their date for their wedding and it's during the time I won't be here. They knew when I was going and my dad had given me his permission to spend the money on it (I won't be turning 18 until April, so I had to ask him if I could pay for it). So when they announced this and he got pissed when I mentioned my trip, I was confused and annoyed. I'd rather go with my friends, especially since I've already spent a lot of money on this and I've been planning it for years. But my aunt told me family should come first and I should be there for my dad because he was there for me after my mom died. Should I cancel my plans and go to the wedding or go on vacation with my friends? |
