This year, I sat with another table because they all tried out for the basketball team. But when tryouts came along, I was the only one who didn't make. For some reason that didn't fly with them, and they forbade me to sit with them. So then, I went back to the old table that I sat with last year. They didn't like me sitting with them either, so they put me at the very end of the table, limiting my communication with them. When I ask them whey they act that way they say things like, "Because you're just you", or "We moved on. We don't want you hanging with us anymore." When I try and hang with them, they ask me why I follow them, even though they didn't ask that last year. Even worse, now this girl I kind of like sits with us now, and I want to make a good impression. How do I get my friends to listen to me and not make me look like an idiot in front of her. |

I texted friend b to get friend a home and I asked if I could give my mom her number. she said she would rather me not. I didn't but I told her i talked to them and they are fine. they chose not to believe me. now they are home. I got grounded until summer break for respecting her wishes. Is this wrong of my mom to do? oh yah, after mom mom refused to take my friends numbers |

They just up and left one day without paying rent and then when I was going to take them to small claims court for not giving a 30 days notice, their dad paid that month rent for them. Now they are threatening to sue me for not paying them back their deposit. It s a long story but considering the circumstances we don t owe them anything according to two lawyers and my landlord. My husband agreed to pay them though because he wanted "peace" so whatever we are paying them because he signed a paper so he could get them to stop harassing him about it. What is the most complicated way I can give them their money other than something like giving them hundreds of small coins. I want them to at least be frustrated with the process of receiving their money. |

After the other girl found out she was being mocked behind her back, she started to be passively mean to the other girl. Anyways, the girl I'm best friends with talked smack about her to ME and being the idiot I am, I told other girl what she said. I felt bad for her and didn't feel like it was right to keep those things from her since they were about her. Well after I told her those things she told me things about my best friend. Now I'm torn between the two. I have heard bad things about both and don't know what to believe.At lunch today these girls got together and I guess told each other what I said. I wasn't there when it happened and I know both of them weren't trying to backstab me, but I feel like they were. I feel like a double agent. So here's the deal: Ever since the elementary school, I had a friend with whom I was extremely close for almost a decade. We were into same sports, same video games, same movie genres, and we were always there for each other. When the High School started, things started to change drastically. He wanted to act like a mature person, and he started hanging out with the 'bad crew'. He got hooked up with crew who spend every weekend drinking, getting high and humiliating other people. That's when I STARTED to get jealous of him - he has found a new group of friends (while I haven't), and we stopped hanging out ever since. The second reason why I became even more jealous of him was his popularity. He has TONS of likes, and people on the street recognize him all the time. In my case, I barely get any likes on my posts and only greet people who I know really well. The third reason is his confidence. After HS started, I don't know HOW he gained so much confidence in himself. Before, he was a quiet bug, almost invisible.. now he walks through the city centre, screaming, singing and just playing dumb. And I'm not a confident person, at all. I don't really know what to do, I feel jealousy and I just can't move on. I know I shouldn't even care about that stuff, but it just makes me sad that our friendship is doomed and he still managed to be successful. So please, help me in any way you can. |

I don't think of it often, but when it does come to mind, I feel really sad about it. I did cotillion when I was 12 and they had a winter formal type dance. The rule was you weren't allowed to say no to someone if they asked you to dance. This boy asked me if I would and I said yes even though I didn't want to because I was so nervous. When the next slow dance came on he approached me and I froze up. He said it was okay if I didn't want to dance with him and then he started crying. I immediately felt terrible. I was just too nervous. Before I could do anything this other girl who saw it all hugged him and gave me a dirty look and then I went and danced with my guy friend who I knew. Whenever I think about it I wonder if that damaged him in any way. He may have thought that it was because he was ugly or something, but it wasn't. I was just too nervous. Is it normal to feel so bad about something you did a really long time ago? |

One of the parts of the yearbook is the superlatives. This is basically the part of the book where people vote on a person in the grade who best fits a certain category. One of the categories is "best nickname for a girl". All the guys in my grade have made a really annoying nickname for me and they are all voting for me with that nickname and telling everybody else to do it. I keep on telling them not to, but they wont listen! And I really don't want to have my picture with my nickname next to it in the yearbook cause that would be SOOO EMBARRASSING!! What should I do??? I really don't want them to vote for me and if I win, I have no choice but to be in the yearbook.!!! :( Oh and I forgot to say this but there are hardly any girls in the grade with nicknames, so its most likely that I will get the spot in the year book... unless you guys have any good advice. Most of us go to school in different cities now and don't see each other that much except on breaks. Anyways, when we went to this movie I couldn't help but feel old! Seeing all those high school kids just made me feel really old. I'm only 21 but seeing those younger kids made me kind of miss those carefree days when you didn't have to worry about jobs or finding a career. Now I can't help but feel guilty or "immature" when I want to just go out and be goofy with friends. Is this irrational? Has anyone else ever felt old at 21? |

They called me fat/loner/ugly/weird & told me they hated me. I became very shy & believed everything they said. I lost my friends. I was in a clique of girls from when I was 12 until last month. They were mean to me often but I was too scared to leave. They began bullying me, telling people to avoid me & writing horrible stuff online last month. Now I'm struggling to make friends. Im a nice person & fun person, but I am terrified of starting conversations & approaching people and texting them first. I always sit by myself. I feel like I'm annoying people by being around them. I stopped and turned around before they could realize I was there, went straight to a bathroom stall and started sobbing. I suffer from severe social anxiety, but this year I had been doing a good job of convincing myself that the friends I have actually do like me (despite deep down being certain they all hate me). now I know everyone hates me. I won't be able to face these friends anymore and will probably end up completely alone (since I don't have many other friends). I am miserable and can't stop thinking and crying about it. i don't know what to do to make myself feel better-and i have no one to talk to. i know this is such a small thing but to me it feels so awful. i will remember this into college and it will do nothing for the fact that I am already convinced everyone that I meet hates me. I feel so alone and despite having a great family, i feel isolated from them as well. has anyone gone through something similar or have any advice |

I made friends easily and have a good group of friends and such, but I'm very quiet. When I'm with my friends at school, I am loud and jump around and have fun... But if I'm in a class with no one I know or talk to, I'm too quiet and don't talk at all unless I am called on to speak. In my english class today, my teacher wanted students to share what they wrote to each other and I had no one to turn to since people were talking to each other and no one turned to me. When my teacher asked if I shared with anyone I said no and almost started tearing up because of how quiet I am and people won't talk to me. Also, if I'm with a couple friends and we're all talking and somebody comes up to us that is a friend of the other friend, I get completely quiet and just shut down unless I am involved in the convo... It's weird and I don't understand. I don't know why I've always been this way. This new school year, I tried to speak more aloud and gain confidence, but it just didn't work out for me. He got an acceptance letter in the mail today, and will be going away for college in January. Long story short, I don't want him to leave. I know I can't stop him, because this is what he really wants to do, but it's just hard dealing with the fact that my best friend is going to be 2,000 miles away. Posted: 01 Dec 2015 12:53 PM PST we used to be best friends in middle school, we had inside jokes and everything like that. now im in 10th grade, and things started to go down in 9th grade. idk if i noticed it before but she is supperrrrr clingy and annoying. but only once 9th grade started. every time i would tell her something she would ask me a bunch of questions about it, none of which the answer would benefit her to. i told her i was hanging out with my other friend and she said "who? whats her name? what did you guys do lol" is she just curious or... this happened so much that i just stopped texting her bc it was annoying. am i the mean one?? how should i handle this?? i texted her again today to ask if she was going to a party and then she was like "what are you doing now" and i told her i was texting (bc i was) and she said "with who?" so i told her then she said "what about?" so i told her and she said "oh ok lol" then i asked her what was so funny and she said "idk i was just trying to be friendly" like what is this ***** up to pls help me |

I'm 24 while she's 30 to give a good idea of our age groups. Once she met new friends who would do drugs, get drunk, and party with her she became very distant and catty towards me. Every time I attempted to be nice she treated me like trash so I ended our friendship. The weird thing is that now she's trying to be nice but she's only nice when I distance myself, if I'm nice to her she's catty. I'm curious as to why people act this way. |
| Question: Is it in poor taste to have an RSVP only dinner party? Posted: 01 Dec 2015 11:50 AM PST I'm holding a dinner party for friends at my apartment. I need to make sure I have the proper amount of seating, food, etc. Especially since my apartment is on the smaller size and I'm getting catering. I heard that having an RSVP only party as a 20 something is unheard of but I feel it necessary when catering and seating are involved. Would it be in poor taste to only allow people in who RSVP'd? |

I was really confident until these 3 girls started bullying me when I was 9. They called me fat/loner/ugly/weird & told me they hated me. I became very shy & believed everything they said. I lost my friends. I was in a clique of girls from when I was 12 until last month. They were mean to me often but I was too scared to leave. They began bullying me, spreading rumors, telling people to avoid me & writing horrible stuff online last month. Now I'm struggling to make friends. Im a likeable person & friendly, but I am terrified of starting conversations & approaching people and texting them first. I always sit by myself. I feel like I'm annoying people by being around them. How can I overcome this? |

Posted: 01 Dec 2015 11:36 AM PST im 13 years old boy and i'm usually alone i have only had 1 friend that was a real friend in Middle School. when i was in Middle School i only had 2 friend and when he was sick or not in school i was all alone. when i went to high school me and my only friend who was a boy were put in two different classes. we stopped being friends and he got new ones. i did too but about a month ago i found out they were fake. i do not want to be alone so i have not left them yet. and i always loved a girl but she turned me down and im depressed so no one wants to be my friend. i have tryed to make new friends but they just hate me. i don't want to live anymore and i had a girl as a friend but i destroyed our friendship because i asked her somthing and she got really mad. every time i look at her when she is happy with her friends she gets angry and walks away. im probably gonna take suicide soon so if no one knows what i should do when winter breake is here its too late 2 friends i write wrong on the first row. |

We are in two different social groups. She's a cheerleader and I do acting. About half of my friends have trash talked my sister to me at least once. I don't know what to do to make them stop. I get along fine with all of my sister's friends, but don't feel like I fit in their group because our personalities are very different. Some of my friends think that she's a slut and a *****. She has never had a boyfriend, or done anything with a guy other than kiss and has few guy friends. She mostly sticks to her group of friends and doesn't really branch out like I do. But if someone she isn't friends with talks to her she is friendly, but not as talkative cause she doesn't know them well. My friends are nice to me and nice to my sister's face. But I don't like that they talk about her badly. I don't understand why everyone thinks I'm the nice twin and she's the bitchy one. Sometimes if I get into an argument with my sister I vent about her to my friends, but they vent about their siblings when they get into arguments with them and I don't assume their siblings are bad people. Everyone assumes I hate my sister because we have different friends, different hobbies and don't talk much in school. But that's not the case at all. I just like being seen as an individual and not joint to her at the hip all of the time. |

Lately, I've noticed that he has been acting differently for some reason. He is obviously flirting, showering me with compliments, "accidentely" touching me, and he never did that. He is over - kind, and 1 time he invited me to their house, because he told me that my BFF was calling me, but when I arrived, he was the only one there. I made an excuse and left. My BFF doesn't seem to notice all of this and we didn't talk about it. She is very protective of him, because he is very emotional and a virgin, while I am the totall opposite. I am 14, I cannot make new friends since everytime I have a friend they end up betraying me. What should I do during break times at school? What can I do to just stop thinking about them. The reason they don't talk to me anymore is because when I attempted suicide, one of them had their parents tell my mom that we can't be together anymore. And so my other best friend also doesn't talk to me. They talk and joke about and whisper to eachother in front of my face. I think I may be developing social anxiety because whenever I think of people or am in a public place I am scared that I will be criticised or humiliated and so my heart pounds fast, I sweat and blush and avoid people. Could this be related? |

Every morning she asks "Did you do the homework?Can I see it?" and its so damn annoying! Also every time I have a test, I usually make a study guide. So she borrowed my study guide and said "I'll return it tomorrow", but when I asked for it the next day, she said "I left it at home because I came home late" how is that even an damn excuse! Now, we're good friends, but we're not SUPER close. We usually hang out in the presence of other people. I always knew she was kind of late to learn certain things, seeing as her parents are incredibly strict and overprotective, so for a while me and my friends have just not talked about sex, drugs, etc around her. It's been a little annoying, but for the most part I've shrugged it off. Recently, however, I was standing around with K and another friend (who's a bit closer to her than I am) before school started. We were talking about how Christmas is coming up soon, and the topic of Santa Claus came up. I made a joke about how he doesn't exist, and K looked kind of offended and confused. I thought she was kidding at first, but she seemed upset, so I dropped it. Later, the other friend who was there told me that K really does believe in Santa, The Tooth Fairy, The Easter Bunny etc. Since then, Santa Claus has been brought up in conversation a couple times. However, none of my other friends want to tell K he isn't real. It seems kind of cruel to not tell her, especially considering the fact people already talk about her behind her back. I also don't want to offend her parents, because, like I said, they're very strict. I still want to maintain my relationship with her, but it's getting really annoying having to pretend that things like Santa exist whenever I hang out with her. Is it worth telling her the truth? |

She said he threatened her because she dumped him after that as she hates him. She never tried to contact him after the incident. He then threatened her he wont let her marry anyone else except him. She is worried as he posses some fotos of their like a couple. Today she texted me that she is afraid of him that he will say or text me bad about her and he may spoil our relationship.
